So I have been a member of and on for many years.
This location is very spacious, the locker rooms have actual CHANGING ROOMS so you don't have to be naked in front of people. This location always has everything in stock like cleaning spray/paper towels. Employees are very informative and helpful.

Last night a heavy monsoon rolled through, kicking up crazy dust, so thick it wasn’t safe to drive in, let alone walk through.

Power went out during my workout, and the staff immediately yelled that everyone had to go. We were forced outside, into a raging haboob. Lots of folks took the rail or walked here; luckily I had a car. But even then, the traffic lights were out all over, and it definitely wasn’t safe to drive.

Really pathetic behavior. I was about to get a membership here, but this inhumane treatment convinced me not to.

Subpar customer service. Came in 20 minutes before they closed to hang from a pull up bar and stretch (injured pectoral, helps w torn fascia). Why do you need to ask your manager if its okay for me to workout? Do people not workout for 15-20 minutes at a time? I understand if it was 5 minutes, but im there at 8:39 and you need permission to let me in? Ridiculous.

I recommend PF to everyone. I’ve been working out for over 30 years and have been at this gym since it opened. I love the usability of the gym, how clean it is, and the free personal training from DJ. Jesus has done a great job of keeping his staff motivated while running the gym in the absence of a manager. Or, Jesus can be the manager since he’s been doing it for months now anyways. But I digress. I love that gym! I know the staff by name and they are all genuine hardworking employees. Definitely 5 stars.

Just called to ask if they had cleaned to mold because I've been sick bad 2 times in a row from something only after working out in planet fitness. Terrible customer service when i called. I didn't ask the guys name but he told me he saw the reviews too, but had no idea if it was fixed or not and really acted like he didn't care when asking if he knew if it had been cleaned yet. Who are the clowns you guys hire? Wow. He claimed he was the only one there so he couldn't find out if there was a huge mold stain in the place he works everyday and he didn't know!? Also that he wasn't going to leave the front desk the whole shift. Finally after talking to him he said do you wanna call back in a while? You could literally put the phone down walk over there in 10 seconds. What a clown

They said we could get a complementary message, but the beds were full. We came back the next time and the guy accused us of already using them. He was being loud accusing us and what bothered me the most is he wouldn't look at his record which they should be some or the cameras. Abousetly rude, disrespectful and awful customer service. Had came with my boyfriend and encountered a tweaker; My boyfriend had been working out in the area and so he’d leave stations and come back he went to go ask someone that had just suddenly left and cane back if he could use it real quick because we were there about to start and he had tweaked out started calling out of name to my boyfriend, then my boyfriend just tried to let it be known he was chill and didnt mean to make it sound as if we were kicking him off we were just letting him know we were there so is it okay if we finish since he had left. We leave across the gym and he follows to say he was chill but kept trying to threaten us with selection of words he used and a satchel wrapped around him, boyfriend once again settles it down we finish the set get up and when we put equipment away i had said lets just go im getting a bad vibe as soon as we decided we are leaving hes following us again till we lose sight of him and then we left because it was a really gross encounter. i think you guys should make sure no one is under the influence or let small bags go in either because he was threaten with his satchel and never know what couldve been in there.

Never in my life I thought I would witness discrimination but today I believe this male manager was so rude to this young man about wearing crocs .the manager turned something so little into a big thing and embarrassed this young man where a hand of people were staring including myself it was so bad saying he was gonna get kicked out and he’ll never be welcome again to another planet fitness and my heart felt for him cause I do believe he walked out with tears and emotional pain smh and it’s the fact the manager is so focused on someone’s shoes than the druggies in the bathroom smh we need a new manager here someone who shows compassion and kept a nice strict drug free zone !!

I wore crocks to the gym to the one on baseline once and the manager scolded me like I was a child. I felt so embarrassed. As I find out a couple days later an employee tells that they have to watch out for me because I wear crocks. and if I do again I will be kicked out. While there’s always a drug addic in the restrooms sleeping or doing drugs. This is definitely a planet fitness I will not be visiting again

Ever since getting a black card membership, I have found Planet to be a very warm and welcoming environment for people across all stages in their fitness journey! A wide array of equipment to work with along with friendly and knowledgeable staff members make it easy to return several days a week. Great service, all the hydro beds were broken and massage chairs were not functioning well. Common for many PF lications we have visited across the country. Tanning bed worked well, not very busy at 7 a.m. Perhaps the recent rate increase will allow them to fix equipment faster.

Unacceptable. I did not feel well after leaving this area. The ceiling has been like this for MONTHS and MONTHS. The mold just continues to spread. I signed up my 16 year old with a membership here over a year ago because it was cheap enough for me to afford. I noticed yesterday that for over two months they have been charging me double what I signed up for. After going in to talk to them the guy at the counter said they have my sons signature and apparently they convinced him to sign up for a black card without my consent. I will be looking in to this and will need a lawyer soon.

Overall gym isn’t bad. Only complaint is a few females sitting on machines for 20-30 minutes in the express workout area that are sending never ending text messages and instagram posts instead of working out. When you ask them to work out or get off the machine they just give a dirty look. Might see better results if you got off the phone. Also a few that never wipe off the machines so make sure you do before you use them. Pretty gross.

1st of all Dez I decide what I'll have on my phone. 2nd of all the laminated cards don't last 7 years which is the approximate length of my membership.

The Laveen PF is awesome! All new cardio equipment and more free weights and workout areas for us hardcore members. The staff is friendly, helpful, courteous and constantly paying attention to cleaning and restocking. Two years now at this location and I’ve never been disappointed! Work out 6-7 times a week and rarely experience it being crowded. Members are also friendly, helpful and courteous to other members.

I don't pay $30 a month and also $50 annually a year to come to a gym where their staff doesn't seem to want to do what they're paid to do. Every time I've tried to use a tanning bed or a red light therapy bed they are completely dirty. I shouldn't have to clean the beds and on top of it if members don't have access to gloves like your staff do and that's disgusting. Also the women's bathroom never has adequate toilet paper or paper towels. Sure seems like nobody's holding the staff accountable for making sure that the gym is running properly.

If you can't keep up with the services you offer then I suggest you don't offer those services

Friendly people, good hours, clean, equipment in good shape and YUGE shout out to Jesus - he’s a star!! Only downside - need to educate some folks on etiquette in the lifting area. Too many people use benches for their phones, take 2-3 sets of dumbbells at a time, talk on phone for 20 min while people wait. You have rules - enforce them a bit.

I've been to about 10 PF locations in the U.S. from Bangor, ME to Bullhead City, AZ. This location was not bad. Not as many staff members cleaning the exercise equipment as I've noticed at other locations, but it was also quite busy making it feel cramped and pretty warm, especially in the free weights area. Still I'm not complaining as it was well lit and seem to clear out some by 8pm

This is another location of theirs that I regularly go to on Baseline for the past several years. Overall, I would give this location a decent review. The one thing they really need to improve on is restroom cleaning… AND THE SMELL in there. It’s NEVER smelled clean or an air freshener. It’s bad. I never see staff on the gym floor cleaning but overall the gym floors and mirrors are clean.
