Ive been coming in with my son for a while now. Scan my phone no questions asked by any tram member. Ive been a member since 2018 and the man in the front clearly having a bad day tells me to register the kid that ive been coming in with... finally he starts to do his job? After all this time.... no one has mentioned anything to me ever and today. Canceled my membership. This isnt the first interaction with him. He "accidently" Canceled my membership a few months ago.

I keep having billing issues and get charged an extra $20 a month! They never attempt to charge my secondary card, the card that they assured me would now be the primary card. It happened last month, they assured me that it wouldn’t happen again. This month, same thing, and they were unwilling to wave the late fee caused by them not trying my other card on file. Extremely unhappy!

*11/13 I have spoken to two managers, from two different locations. Same results! They always assure me that it won’t happen again. I spoke with one, just yesterday, and he said it wouldn’t happen this month. I opened my PF app today and it looks like nothing has changed. The incompetence is astounding. Do yourself a favor and find yourself a different gym.

Update 2025:
Going back to 4 stars. Shout out to the night and weekend crews. Never any drama with the night crew and they are always busy cleaning. Same experience early in the weekend AMs. Love coming in at off hours as there is loud noises, crowds or drama. If only they would ace that demotivating music that they play there and keep the drinking fountain working properly.

Update 2024:
I get that there is no 'Iron Pit' gym in South Phoenix/Laveen but that does not mean that you should come in here and wreck the machines. So many people slam and drop weights in here that it is insane! This breaks the equipment which is why there are always things out of order here. The staff, while very friendly and helpful, are spineless to enforce the rules or educate the users on weight machines. No matter how loud your sound setup is, you will still hear the weights being dropped from mid point so some peacock can have attention.

This is the only Planet Fitness that I have visited so my review only apply to this one location. I find the staff to be very friendly, facility kept very clean and equipment to be well serviced. When I go here it is usually well after prime time and even then can be a little crowded. They do have some crazy things going on here like free pizza and some areas with usage rules but maybe that is what makes them special - No judgement here (get it?).

I enjoy coming to this gym to workout. Brenda is the trainer for this gym she came back and I am taking training classes with her. She is a great, nice, and friendly trainer and is teaching me new exercises which is great. The staff and the mangers are nice, friendly, and polite. 🙂

I like going to this gym. The staff are nice and greet you when you enter and leave the gym. Brenda was my trainer and she was the best and greatest trainer I could ever had asked for. She helped me alot with my training. Nathan is the new trainer he is also the best and greatest trainer I could ever had asked for. He is helping me with my training. I had a very traumatic event that happened to me at this location with the manager Lorenzo, the assistant manager Meek, and the trainer Brenda. I no longer feel safe coming to this gym. I do not feel welcomed. This gym does not offer the multiple training sessions as advertised. This is very unfortunate because I have been a member for about 10 years. I do not recommend this location.

Always great seeing Bryant when I come to this location. He has been here for about two years and is always professional, pleasant, and welcoming. I always have a pleasant encounter when he is here. Because of him, I highly recommend this gym to workout at. Keep up the great work Bryant!

This is the best location. I have been to four different locations, two in Tempe and two in Phoenix. This is the best location. The managers and management team at this location provide outstanding customer service. The Assistant Manager Meek and Bryant provide consistent outstanding customer service and ensures that all employees do the same by greeting every customer as they enter and exit this location. The facilities and equipment are excellent. Workout here. This is a great location to workout. Bring your family, friends, relatives, and co-workers to this location. I highly recommend this location.

Would be a 4/5 or even 5/5 if it wasn’t for the super intense smell of Fabuloso every other time I go in. Makes my asthma go crazy. I’ve had to leave multiple times as a result because it’s unbearable. I’ve brought it up several times to the front desk and nobody cares. They’re indifferent and only care about chatting it up with their boo that’s behind the counter with them for some reason. No idea why they insist on using such a harsh (and quite frankly toxic) perfumed cleaner. Considering cancelling and switching to another gym because of how many workouts have been totally ruined from this. Please PF switch to a steam cleaner or something more natural or unscented.

For whatever reason this club won't recognize my bank desert financial and every single month I've been hit with a late fee so my 25.00 membership is $45.00. My yearly dues instead of $49.00 was $65.00. I've talked to ABC billing on the phone for hours they assured me the issue was fixed. It was not. When I called back they said that because it was a franchise the issue had to be fixed through management at my club. My bank says this is unprecedented. I'm starting to feel like I'm being robbed. They're telling me the issue is fixed then they charge me a late fee. The dumb thing is my debit card to my account is connected and they charge it just fine. Last week the club said a manager would call and no one ever did. I'm sad I have to cancel as I love this gym. I live closer to EOS but choose to drive here. But I just can't continue to be robbed like this.

I Love Planet Fitness! Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, free weights and machines for all your personal fitness goals. As well as Fitness classes, total body rejuvenation, deep tissue massage chairs & beds, even tanning booths!
I definitely recommend checking them out for yourself as soon as you can. I believe they're still running a deal if you sign up soon for $1 down no commitment for the Black card preferred membership which is the best and only membership that you should have with Planet Fitness in my opinion considering it gives you access to everything.

Fantastic location for planet fitness! Lots of parking available and absolutely brand new equipment. And absolutely immaculate as well. The gym looks so good and you can see the quality. The bathroom was decently clean which can be a problem sometimes at planet fitness. If anything the staff could be nicer and more welcoming I'm used to going to different planet fitness and have a nice greeting. Maybe because it was midnight. But other than that fantastic location!

I joined Planet Fitness in August and have been to the Laveen, South Phoenix and West Tempe location. They all have been good, with the Laveen and Tempe locations being my favorites. The only thing that's annoying me is the very loud music that plays at the Laveen location. It definitely needs to be turned down. And some of the music seems inappropriate. And at times some people will hog a machine by being on their phones and not being courteous to the other people around that need to use the same machine. Other than these 2 things, it's still my go to gym.

Decent and oddly enough i was going to upgrade to la fitness down the road. After touring their gym was nice smoothie bar pool hottub racquetball basketball. But off putting no papar towels and like 2 marketed stations of wipes on opposite ends of gym. There were spots in that gym where they threw out paper towels to save money for themselves and keep that gym unsanitory. At thrice the price no at 10 ill stay at planet fitness i only need hot tub for back and not worth it when rivals will skimp on cleansing products during peak covid flu season.

The boss approached me and my business parter after coming out of the gym approaching my vehicle telling me I had to remove my Jaguar out of the parking lot because I was here too long a... All I was doing was eating food from the Mexican restaurant after being a paying customer out of the planet fitness.

My experience is fine, the staff at 35th avenue and southern and 19th avenue and camelback are wonderfull, but they are closing too much in the hollydays
Like in the 4th of July they closed at 8pm in the third and reopen útil 8am in the 5th
I have suscripción for a reason I go there in the morning and in the afternoon, so my training was cut in hall in two days. I understand the 4th is ok, but if you just take the hollyday will be better, dont be so lazy please

I work for a major airline, travel often, used hundreds of hotel gyms, lives many places and joined many gym chains.

When I moved to Dallas Fort Worth I joined the planet fitness in Fort Worth and had such a good experience with the cleanliness when I moved back to Phoenix AZ I rejoined planet fitness Laveen location. In past chains (LAFitness etc) I have seen machines broken for weeks. This location Laveen location is always kept cleaning. People are always cleaning, refilling bottles, bathrooms smell good, staff is friendly and machines are always fixed in a timely manner. Planet fitness may be known as a discount chain but they take care of their clubs. Please recognize the Laveen planet fitness employees for keeping this gym looking great.
