I have been going to this planet fitness for years either at nights /afternoon but this is the first time I go in the morning and the staff is so damn rude especially the little Mexican girl with a grey shirt next time I’m getting her name. All because I asked her a simple question about the app. She started to roll her eyes and give me attitude.. I hope she gets fired. Honestly, what kind of person like that needs to work at the gym? The location and machines are poorly maintained. Machines are often visible dirty/dusty and have lots of wear and tear. However, the primary reason I will not be visiting this location anymore is the aggressive security guard that makes me feel unsafe. 2025 UPDATE*******
I have called and left messages 2x for a manager to call me over the last week and no one has called. I have had ni billing issues until 2 weeks ago due to my job changing payroll systems and having errors. I called and spoke with Assistant Manager Javion. He was very unhelpful. I attend the 43rd Ave & Cactus location and asked the manager to waive ny late fee as a courtesy. She was willing but this location was somehow listed as my home club so she sent me there. I explained my issue to Javion and he immediately went into what he couldn't do. I asked for a way to contact billing to which he stated there is no way. I asked for a corporate # and he said they dont have one. I asked for a corporate email and he gives me an email to his club. I asked him why he gave me that email and not a corporate one.And he says, that's the way they do things at this club. He did not operate on any level of leadership. Had no answers, no information, everything he said, was followed by that's how we do it here. This is not a franchise, it's a corporation. So I'm not sure why he kept saying that I still have not had a manager. Call me. I want to express my concerns about His service and i'm sure no one will ever call me.So i'm just gonna end up Canceling the membership.

I'm giving 3 stars because most of the associates here are genuinely friendly and helpful, the guys and nearly all the gals are great. However, there's one staff member whose attitude really brings down the experience. (TODAY 6-23-2025 at 2pm) Instead of speaking respectfully, she tends to talk loudly and condescendingly to customers, which is off-putting. A little kindness and professionalism would go a long way. Not to shame but this "Karen" should be hitting the treadmill to get some peace in her heart. I'll quote Demi Lovato song, Sorry Not Sorry!

The staff seemed friendly and a very busy gym. Outside is a mess and there is glass everywhere. The bathroom is not cleaned regularly and the gym equipment is good. According to the ADA, sinks need to stay on for at least 10 seconds especially for the disabled. The sink stays on for 3 seconds which is breaking the law. Bring your place up to standards please. Make us black card members proud.

This location has the BEST customer service I’ve ever experienced anywhere. They are genuinely friendly and helpful. It’s always nice to go somewhere and be greeted by your name. It’s a good feeling, being remembered. Unfortunately, I am terrible with names, so I can’t mention specific employees, but the pretty African American girl who is there in the mornings, she is wonderful! It is so rare to go anywhere anymore and feel as welcomed as she always makes me (and I’m sure others) feel.
Everyone here is always positive, helpful and they really make it a great environment to be in.
Because of how great they are, they’ve actually motivated and inspired me to go back to the gym on a regular basis. It’s nice to have a place to go where you don’t feel like you’re bothering the employees (like most other businesses). Anyway, kudos to this location and for your amazing customer service!

per the planet fitness app, I have successfully visited this club one time I remember another time but I believe I was somebody else's guest or it could have been on a prior membership. so imagine my surprise the other day when I went to pay another visit and was told I was not allowed to do so. that would be contraindicated by my black card membership which costs more than double and allows me to go any damn place I'd like thank you very much. this was at about 4 in the morning I was invited to go away but come back when the manager was in and I left a phone number where the manager could reach me which of course did not happen. I was hopeful that the manager had either made a mistake and realized it or gotten over themselves and gave the second shot the next time I was in the neighborhood and wanting to visit and was told a second time by the line level employee who was clearly very uncomfortable having this conversation with me would not give me any useful information and ultimately in spite of the fact that I do still have this black card membership that's still entitles me to it. we are two weeks after that first visit and I have no idea what the problem is because I can't get anybody to explain it to me I did try calling a couple of times at different times of day and got hung up on presumably by the cowardly "manager" in question. this was one of the cleaner clubs that I've visited although clean is a word that I would not actually ask most of the people I have encountered here to define because most of them thinks that it somehow includes soap scum and black mold. this one was better than most that I visited although that isn't to say that it's good and I do still clean my own shower before and after I use it because God knows what I would be incubating between my toes right now if I didn't.

I do not undertake lightly to write reviews like this if I were able to get any traction any other way I would do it I am still happy to delete every syllable of this if this gets resolved in my favor in a nice way reasonably soon (as in: right now) and if you earn a five star. wow me. I'm not that hard to get along with and I haven't done anything wrong yet

I have had a great experience here. The staff is really kind and helpful. The gym has all your basics and it's never too crowded. I highly recommend talking with their personal trainer Jordan. He has a great approach to fitness. It’s criminal how affordable the training is. The personal training here is way cheaper than what I've found anywhere else and it's better. I've trained with a lot of different people. Jordan has been the best by far. He uses a lot of different tactics that push you past your mental limitations and activate the muscle. It would be worth paying extra but it's included in the membership. I'm so happy I found this place!

My mom went to get a membership here, not only did the atendant leave half of the info out like what equipment specific members are allowed to use as well as how to use some of the membership operated equipment. They never fully finished my mom's membership or all the details in the file so when my mom went to another location to keep up with using the gym while visiting family in another part of town, they told us my mom never finished her application(that the atendant at the other store was filling out) and this she was not actually a member and would not be allowed to use the equipment at any location. All also while still taking almost $50 out of my mothers account every month. Then also never canceled our subscription after asking her to do so when she asked if we wanted her to. So for another 4 months after, up until we finally were able to get into contact with HR, did our situation get handled correctly. No one at ANY planet fitness location know how to do their job correctly. the second atendant basically told us they make in subscribing harder spasificalky because a good 60% of people who sign on never actually come back so to keep up business and flow of money they make subscription canceling harder so they can keep money and review flowing. You guys are a scam of a business and I will never be recommending this gym to anyone. I'd rather go pay more money at a "fancier" gym to get a genuine experience rather than someone taking money out of my account, like you have done to my mother, when I can't even use my membership.

Terrible location. The manager Katherine was very rude and unprofessional. She was being prejudice towards all of the African Americans that were in the gym (which is horrible because of the area this gym is in) she told my guest that he wasn’t allowed to even sit in the gym at the tables because he didn’t have the right shoes on but he wasn’t going to workout. You can tell the guy working next to her didn’t even want to be around her.. I will keep going to the location on 43rd and cactus because of her. The staff is actually friendly at this location and we never feel like we don’t belong

The employees here were very nice and welcoming when I went in on 9/30. One of them was named Jadyn and she was very friendly and helpful! She answered all my questions I had and made it feel like a welcoming place! She also made sure that I could have the best experience I could at the gym. She was very good about making sure I had a good experience and she really cared for my wellbeing. She was very nice to other people that came in as well and treated everyone with respect. I love PF! I joined in the summer of 2016, and during a tour of the gym that I signed up at, I was told to use whichever locker room I was comfortable with (I am genderfluid / non-binary). Very inclusive for the LGBT+ community!

Unprofessional counter help the lady that helped me didn't listen to the ***time*** I asked for on tanning bed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked for my 5 minutes it went for almost the full time and I am now severely sunburned. I was trying to slowly build a base tan for hiking but now have to heal first. That is extremely dangerous. Your counter help fools around and jokes and never takes their jobs seriously! Tanning beds need responsibility from both the counter help and the person using them. This gym has gotten a little better but I am still afraid to go in and use the equipment without my boyfriend.

New machines. Nice people in the front. A while back one of my head phones fell in one of the machines. One of them went above and beyond and got back for me. Pretty much like this planet fitness.
