I get a phone call from an unknown number and i answer and its some company telling me they cant process my payment. I freak out because i dont know this company i call my bank they informed that the company tried to pull from my account using my routing and banking number and refused to verify themselves so my banks denies this unknown companies three attempts. And then my bank informs me a different institution pulled '$70 from my account using my debit card. Im freaking out call the unknown company who say they process payments for planet fitness. I go okay cool so why is there and extra $20 charged to my account. The lady who can barely speak English and comprehend tells me because my card was denied so i got a later fee. I explain no u tried using my account number and routing number and refused to verify yourselves thats not my fault and why didn't yall use my debit card on file like you have always done? She wouldn't give me an explanation, just kept saying we only process payments., we only process payments we dont have access to ur account. Mam i have my screenshots u just tried pulling from my account says its my fault and also refuses to give me my next month free for referring a friend. Needless to say Nativity was amazing, super nice, understood why i was concerned having an extra $20 pulled from my account from a company that refuses to identify themselves to my bank, uses a different company to pull using my debit card, wont honor the free month. Nativity honored the free month once i showed proof of it and i look forward to talking to Randy in the morning about a possible refund due to it not being my mistake on the late payment. I really like this gym, its a safe place for me, really safe place. I'm just concerned with who process their payments for them, why that company refuses to identify themselves with my bank and them having access to my debit and banking numbers and use two different names to pull from. Just all around confused and why the company doesnt have a single person that can speak English and let alone comprehend English.

Planet fitness charged me $69 for four months straight when I had my card on auto pay saying my payment was late. They refused to return my money to me after I signed up for the $25 black card. My payment was never late there was always money in my account and they even admitted that do not give this company any of your bank info or card info. They will rip you off.!!!!

This expansive Planet Fitness is the best gym in the area. It's packed with cardio and strength equipment and keeps a clean environment. The Black Card includes massage chairs (standard/hydro), red light therapy, tanning, and a meditation pod.

This early-bird also appreciates they are open 24x7 during the week and 5am on weekend.

Gregory at the front desk was awesome and made a point of engaging with members.

My only wish list items are cold therapy, barbells, and a sled (for all locations not just this one).

More and more gym members have quit wiping down the equipment after they are done. When there are signs posted everywhere. It’s so gross to get on a machine after someone’s sweaty person has been on it. Especially the mats. Yuck.
People sitting on machines on their phone not actually working out. Which makes it so others can’t get on them when there is only one of that machine sometimes.
Staff members not walking around checking to check on paper towel machines and wiping down machines. Just 2 of them always at the front counter.

If there were an option to give negative stars, this gym would absolutely get it! Only one tanning bed works only one lounger works, and the staff are so confused they sent me back twice to get in things that were already taken and to make matters worse there is an older white guy there who is rude and cranky he should retire. He is bad for your customers and this gym obviously needs some maintenance and management. I will never And will tell everyone that I know up here not to join this gym. Thank God this is not my home gym, I am just here for work, but we never return to this place.

This gym is impressive, sitting in the heart of the retail sector of Prescott. It is vastly larger than I expected. It is incredibly busy but because of the size and the quantity of machines available, you do not run into issues having to wait.

The customer service associates and manager at this location are friendly and warm.

In regard to cleanliness, I can only speak to the female side of the locker rooms. They are clean, and I feel comfortable showering and doing what I need to do. This is especially impressive considering how busy it stays.

All equipment is modern and new-ish. I appreciate the circuits and instructional design that they have built into the flow of the gym. The gym is organized and has every equipment piece you could ask for.

Sadly erroneous billing and head management failed to take the time to help a little old customer like me. Mainly because he is always on conference calls. The times I was in the hospital they continuously failed to put my account on hold, besides the fact I had never even been in their building. My time has ended with planet fitness. God bless them and the "no flaunting rules are bogus." The counter people were nice to me.

Update, 11-20-24. They recently installed a lot of new equipment and moved a lot of it around, and im happy to say that PF is better than ever. The new rowing machines and the stationary bikes are a dramatic improvement. About a month ago or so, there was an obvious management change at the PF in Prescott. It's so much better now it is hard to describe. Before there were a bunch of young cell-phone magnets, who hardly could be bothered to lift their eyes off their screens to help in any way. They never cleaned, communicated or did anything but talk to each other and avoid contact with members. The manager I met - who looked like a middle-school child and acted worse - argued with me about the 30 Minute quick workout room and would do nothing to monitor it for those who wanted to use it. It became a place for members' private reps and sets room. I get angry just writing about it. These folks were horrible, child-like do-nothings. The new managers and the staff they have put in place AND TRAINED are wonderful and the place is cleaner, the staff is friendlier and I like going to PF again.

The “busy meter” is NEVER accurate. But the most disturbing aspect is that none of the equipment is secure to the ground. Any weight over 225 is NOT SAFE on the smith machines. The entire structure shakes making it easy for unused weights to be shaken off of their standards and makes it easy for the cables to come off track! The point of having bolt holes on the bottom of the equipment is for the security and safety of the user. This facility is NOT SAFE and I am unsure how it passed any kind of safety inspection!

I was moving so called them in January to cancel and emailed them yet they continue charging my account. When I called, I was told I could cancel via app so I emailed there and yet, here they are charging my account. I don’t live anywhere near a planet fitness and charging for services I not only can’t use but explicitly told them to cancel is criminal.

I've visited all of the gyms in the area. This one by far offers the best quantity and variety of resistance equipment, and for the best price options. The hours are great, the atmosphere is welcoming, and I've noticed that if ever a piece of equipment is in need of repair, it happens very promptly. The staff members are friendly and helpful, and there are ample cleaning stations for members to help clean after using each machine. Lots of TVs to choose from. I also love the massage chairs/ lounges/ beds. Some of them are hydro-massagers, which you can control the speed and intensity. They also have red light therapy and tanning options. So much to do and enjoy at this club that I usually run out of time before I feel like I'm done!

I like this planet Fitness because it very large so plenty of room to work out and not feel like you are on top of someone. Plenty of different equipment to use. I like the massage chairs and warm lounge chairs. Bring your own towel. They don’t have any. And your lock for the lockers. Up front staff is very nice and friendly.

I've been trying to cancel my membership for years. They force ypu to come in then give you the runaround. "Oh, you need to cancel at the gym you signed up at?!, oh, we just need to keep a vredit card on file. Oh, we will just put you on a trial for a few months to see if you want to really leave." I moved to a home gym a long time ago and have tried several times to leave. Don't give these used car salesmen your money. Do push-ups at home for free. Even when I did go, I was only ever ostracized for picking up and putting down any weight, as there is an alarm that will shame you for making ANY little noise at the gym. An invalid cc would do it, like an empty gift visa, then Visa can explain they're done.*reply* Heard it before, you are just now catching up, whew. It's a bad process, and your gym bros make it worse face to face. Shameful

I’ve been in Prescott for over two years and decided to join Planet Fitness, after evaluating the other gyms in the area. I just really enjoyed the staff and management since day one. They are so accommodating…..always felt welcome when I walked through the doors.

They do have a new assistant manager who is just beyond and above Incredible (Nikki), a long with an over the top staff taking the time to connect with each member , and guest that checks in.

Randy, you are doing a phenomenal job!!! I love seeing your smiling face throughout the week. Ive never seen the gym run better since you have come on board.

It's a pretty good location overall. A few too many times wandering the floor to find a paper towel station that isn't out (often when 2 or 3 people are standing at the front chatting with each other) to give it a 5th star... and it's easily the warmest PF we've been to (including Scottsdale and one in Florida) that could really use some A/C and airflow. It's rarely been busy though, and pretty hassle-free in terms of working out.

They have corrected the awful loud music problem. Now it's great.

Old review: If you enjoy having someone scream in your ear, then this is the gym for you. Music was so loud and written for fifteen year old tastes -- we asked the girl at the front desk to lower the volume. She listlessly said she is not allowed to do this as the manager was not there. I'd look for another gym if you are older than forty and don't want unpleasant music played at super high volumes while you work out.

Went here for a trial run over the weekend. Have been to a few other planet fitnesses in other states. This one is on the top of the list. The staff is very friendly and professional. The other wonderful thing is people are actually here to work out.Not sit on their cellphones. Prescott is a wonderful place to visit and there is very friendly people here. Cancelled after they decided to allow men pretending to be women in the women’s locker room. My wife and daughter used to go to PF but we have higher standards and values than this company.

Staff on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024 towards close was amazing. played great music, not to loud or quiet, was very friendly. Best experience I've had since i joined back 2 years ago. I've had bad experiences, but this was awesome. Big ups to the hiring manager for hiring these awesome folks.

I like this gym I guess. But every single time I come in, EVERY employee is just standing there at the front. And when I go to clean off a machine, there's no paper towels. How are you going to expect me to be a good gym member when you can't restock stuff? You have 5 young girls up there just standing there. Put them to work.
