This Planet Fitness is better than the one in Oro Valley. It’s spacious, well ventilated, and has updated equipment. The TV stations have options other than news. The locker rooms are well maintained. The two gentlemen working were very respectful to me. I would give 5 stars but the weekend hours are not the greatest. Thank you for giving me another option besides Oro Valley.

I know it's supposed to be a judgment-free zone, but I've never seen such a ridiculous amount of man buns, neck beards, and friar Tucks. For a town that's still worried about covid and a bunch of people still wearing masks. This place is too tight. The bench in front of the dumbbells are all 4 ft apart along with the treadmills. All the other machines are about 5 ft apart. And the machine mix is silly. They have three leg extension machines but only one curl machine. Two back extension machines. What's that all about. Two angled leg press machines and I only ever see one in use and seven Smith machines. They could clear out some of the equipment get a better variety and people would have more room.

I've been at Planet Fitness for about a month and have been so happy! The staff is welcoming no matter if it's day or night. The gym is especially cold after being closed overnight before Monday morning, but makes for a comfortable temperature for exercise. The gym is clean and bright, with a good variety of TV stations always playing in front of the bikes, treadmills, and stairs. I upgraded a few weeks in to include the massage chairs and water beds. These are easy to book and effective. I recommend checking out planet fitness!

The river road location Always has the most polite, friendly and knowledgeable staff. It is always clean. Only issues are with Customers that do not use the 30 minute circuit correctly and hog machines for 5 to 10 minutes at a time. But that will not stop me from preferring this location over any other in Tucson.

Planet fitness is a one of a kind gym, I was so happy when they opened up the location on River and Orange Grove. I love that everyone there is so accommodating and ready to help you if you ever have any questions about the machines, the cleanliness of the gym is amazing as well as the atmosphere. I do have some medical issues that prevents me from working out time to time. I needed to freeze my account and apparently there was confusion doing so for the few months, so I directly emailed the Vice President Jared Mayerson and he answered immediately and was more than happy to help me with that freeze and made it happen, Jared has Amazing guest service and professional. Planet fitness on River is a place you want to be with a Vice President like Jared that understands and accommodates there guest and treats you as so, not just another member number. Thank you again, so much for being there for me.

Customer service is 0. Very unprofessional team. I’m 9 months pregnant. The lady who works there has insured me I can cancel my membership the end of August to avoid the annual fee in September. They still charged me. The manager wasn’t helpful at all, he said he will try to fix it and call me back but he never did. I had to file a dispute through my bank. Very disappointing experience at this location, their workers provide a wrong information to customers that leads to a problem. They have to be trained more thoroughly. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

I have visited Planet Fitness in many states and cities, and I must say this is by far the best location I’ve experienced. The gym is spacious, very clean, and well-equipped with plenty of machines. I went in the afternoon when it was fairly busy, yet I never had to wait for equipment, which was impressive. A unique highlight of this branch is the lockers with code locks—something I haven’t seen in any other Planet Fitness. Truly an excellent gym!

Disappointed with this location. The gym is great. The lockers are a pain. The locker room is the worst. The only stall with a seat is a handicapped stall in the shower rooms. Yesterday I was trying to respect the handicapped room and change in one of the other shower room cubicles.
There's no bench, nowhere to hang your clothes. I've slipped and fallen going from the shower to the dressing rooms, whoever decided to put tile in the shower room, you're going to have a lawsuit soon. I've fallen twice in those bathrooms.
That said, I prefer showering in these showers, they have very hot water.
I'm young, I have healed, but if someone goes down wrong, it could mean trouble.
Nobody wants to take the handicapped stall, mobody wants to skip and fall either.

Of the three planet fitnesses that I have been to here in Tucson, I have to say I'm very impressed with this one. It's a well balance between cardio and free weights. Still no barbells but I'm beginning to think that that is a planet fitness thing.

Their overall cleanliness of the facility and locker rooms was really great. I came here around 10:00 p.m. All the showers were clean but all the soap dispensers didn't have any bags in them. I don't know if they stopped stocking that at a certain time so people don't take a showers or something, but that's something to address.

While this particular location (Marana - W. River Rd.) has different gym equipment than other locations, the gym hours for every Monday are inconvenient. Tuesday through Thursday the gym is open 24 hours, however; Monday's hours are 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. May management please adjust Monday's hours to open at 12 a.m. ?

Traveling through the area and have been to all the locations in Tucson. This one is the worst. It's the most crowded, The showers are cold, and they said they can't fix that, they also do not provide soap. They keep the locker room at 60 so expect to be shivering after your shower! You are required to do extra steps to use any of the black card stuff like massage chair, which is fine but a little annoying. Overall if you have a choice of going to a plant fitness location here. Choose a different one.

While the gym is a no judgment zone, the bathrooms are not trans friendly. At least not the men’s. If you shower you then have to walk across the walkway to a changing room. I have been to other planet fitness locations that have combined shower/changing.

Recently moved to the Tucson area and have been going here for about 2 1/2 months. Gotta say, the staff is amazing they're very welcoming both when entering and exiting the building. Really nice and easy to relate to. I've seen them help out the older folks who go here whenever they have questions. The equipment is also great, they have multiple of most machines usually minimum two. The atmosphere is also a 10/10 everyone who goes here is actually judgement free and looking to help and push every individual who comes in. Definitely recommend. Only thing I wish is that they had a cold plunge and a sauna but hey, you can't have everything🤷 over all I always have a wonderful experience and y'all should definitely check it out.

I changed this location to my “home” PF gym because of the cleanliness, amount of equipment, and bigger size than the other location, which is 10 minutes closer. I drive the extra distance to have a more pleasant gym experience. The staff, generally, are quite responsive and helpful - especially during the week. Ray has been outstanding and he’s clearly working hard to hire the right people, train them, and maintain high standards. I like this gym - one of the best PFs I’ve been to and I use PFs around the U.S.

This location is very well kept and clean they have diverse machines and spacious locker rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful. This location seems to be catered more to people who like to lift heavy. They have ropes and multiple cable machines. They do also have an adequate cardio section. The AC keeps the place a little chilly. The no-judgement zone is a little lacking at no fault of staff.

Very early and I must take the option of Tucson Mall or Market Place. Don’t sign up. With the Orange Grove exit closed it’s too hard for me to get there. Called to cancel and they told me I have to come in to cancel in person because “we require your signature”. Umm, I signed the contract for you to bill me every month from you app, and that didn’t require me coming in so why would canceling require an in-person signature unless you are trying to milk every last dime from customers? Oh, and I signed my husband up online 2 months ago and he’s never even gone (again, a pain to get there with construction), but they are making him come in too. Again, I could sign him up, but I can’t cancel for him. The facility is just ok, but missing a lot of what you get at other gyms. Mostly just machines, very little free weights or cables, and no barbells. Not really any space to do mat work. Looks new and nice on the surface, but it’s actually a pretty second-rate facility. We are just working out home now. But if you’re on the fence about joining just skip it. Not worth the hassle to cancel.

Edited to add- if another way to cancel by mail is possible, maybe you should make your staff aware of that option? I was told coming in was the only way by a staff member. However, will my cancellation date be the date I mail the form, or will we get charged another month while you take your time to process my request? Again, the ability to cancel online just like you signed-up should be possible, and this company’s inability to implement that just shows what kind of business they run. Sub-par business practices from a sub-par gym.

I have been to gyms before and will say PF has it. Has the staff, the equipment and true no judgement behavior. It is nice to go in with others of different levels and be met with support. The staff at River and Orange Grove are respectful and polite. Regularly cleaning through the facility including bathrooms. You are greeted by name and a smile. Plenty of equipment to work whatever your in the mood for. With a no contract why not give them a try? I suggest you do.

It's a good gym. However no yoga mats at this location. I'd prefer a yoga mat area over the 30 minute full body workout area that nobody does 30 minute full body workouts in. Also it's kinda weird that fox news is on so many TV's. I just wanna watch sports and old sitcoms/game shows without having aggressive biased political media in my peripherals. Finally! I’ve been waiting for this branch to open where I could go and workout after work, and it’s better than the other Planet Fitness branches in Oro Valley and Tucson Mall. It’s the angled leg press machine i’ve been looking forward to use it again since those two locations I’ve mentioned only have the seated leg press.

Amenities are quite similar to the locations I’ve been in Phoenix, and love how most of the machines are all new and updated. My schedule’s a little wonky this week, but hopefully I can get to workout here more than often. 😉
