I started pole about 3-ish months ago. My plan was to visit a few studios, find one that felt like a good fit, and take a few classes. Well, Prowess threw that plan out the window! I walked into such an accepting and empowering community I have no interest to go anywhere else. The instructors make the classes safe, endlessly enjoyable, and build skills to progress in the pole journey!

I really love this studio. The beginner classes are nicely structured and offer a wide variety of Intro classes to help you improve on specific skills. They are ACTUALLY beginner friendly while still being challenging, and you leave the class feeling accomplished far more than you do discouraged. The teachers are patient and always willing to assist or explain things again. (Shout out to Madi A and Espie for being amazing instructors!) I've been going for about 6 weeks, once a week, taking two classes at a time, and I have seen a lot of progress! I'm excited to continue classes with Prowess!

I came here on the recommendation of a friend of mine, and I'm so glad I did! I've taken the Climb and Spin class with Madi twice now, and I'm so excited about everything I've learned just in those first two classes.
I've been to another wonderful pole studio in the area as well - here's what made Prowess stand out to me:
1) Structure: I love that the classes are so specific to a skillset. If I go to Climb and Spin, I'll learn how to climb and spin. It's great to be able to work on a specific skillset week to week! Also, at Prowess, I've never felt that I was expected to know something before I was taught; everything was explained in clear steps to me. The classes marked as being for beginners seem to be structured well for beginners.
2) Instruction: Madi is wonderful about going around the room and helping students of varying skill levels improve. Her tips have been really helpful to me! I can only speak to Madi's teaching, since I haven't taken classes with the other instructors just yet, but I've heard wonderful things about Espie from my friend who also attends classes here. We're both looking forward to meeting the other instructors.
3) Consent: Madi has always checked in with me before touching my body to direct me how to do poses. I appreciated that!
4) General vibe: The regulars here are so incredibly sweet. I managed to climb the pole last class, and complete strangers cheered me on. I've also had such positive interactions with several classmates already one on one. One person stepped away from their pole for a few minutes during last class to explain a move to my friend. People seem to want to celebrate others' successes and grow together. I'm very excited about that culture existing here!

I took an Intro to Pole class with Espie. Espie is an amazing instructor always making sure that everyone’s on the same page and wonderful at explaining. We worked on some basics like walking/spins then learned a little choreo at the end. I especially loved the pacing and that we got to work on both spin and static elements. I will definitely be coming back!

I love prowess, they kick started my fitness journey almost 3 years ago, and I come and go on and off. I used to not be a exercise class kind of person, I was self conscious and very unfit and sedentary, but taking the classes helped me lose my gym anxiety and I have met and worked with some lovely people there over the years. I adore all the teachers and haven't had a bad experience. They also take safety seriously which I appreciate because I haven't been injured during any of the classes.

Just started taking classes, have been through the 4-class intro and my first level 2 class, and so far the environment has been super welcoming, informative, and helpful with the teachers as well as the other students and community members I have interacted with before and after my classes. Wish I could give extra stars.

I had a great experience with Tina in Pole Level 1! She is consistently professional and upbeat, and she makes the class all about the students! I have had a great experience overall at this studio through the years, and that is why I keep returning!

I have been going to Prowess for almost a year and have fell in love with everyone here.
I started off in the Level 1 series with Caro, did this series 3 times before I felt ready for Level 2 and in addition to Caro, I've had the pleasure of having Alex, Bre, Mikayla, Andrea and Espie teach me in addition to their Basework (dance/choreograph) classes. All have their own styles, personalities and ways of teaching that are unique to them which is why I love the variety; I have learned so many things from all of them!
The studio itself offers various class options and the prices are the best I have seen!
The space in the big pole room is large to accommodate many students at once and the studio offers knee pads, mats, rollers and tripods for all students at no additional costs.
The most rewarding part of Prowess is the community of men and women that I have been fortunate to be part of. Everyone is welcoming, encouraging, and you can't help but leave feeling empowered.
If you are considering starting your pole journey, come on in and give Prowess a try, I have not regretted one minute of my time here!

I took an intro pole class and was disappointed with the Instructor Bre. This was my very first time at pole dance class and it wasn't very helpful or fun. I had asked her a few questions on how to do something and she completely made me feel stupid. Her attitude came off as too good to be teaching. There was also another girl in class that felt the need to say something to the instructor and ended up leaving. Usually, Instructors give more instruction when you're completely new and they also can keep count during scissor kicks and other warm up exercises. Very poor instructor.

I now consider this place my second home.
I've had three different instructors so far (Andrea, Brea, and Caro) and all of them are great.
I've had Andrea the most, and I love how analytical she is, she can pick up on the small details so that you can move easier and without injury. She is also very patient.
I've always had a positive experience coming here, and will always come here for my classes!

Very few pole studios have polers who travel to attend pole events, such as conventions/competitions/workshops/showcases. Prowess is one of those studios. The owner, Lindsay Green, has an impressive list of accolades and attended events, including being a Pole Fit by Bad Kitty brand ambassador. Her students and studio are revered nationally and are often the source of inspiration to others. Whether you're planning a tour or just find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in for a class or two. You won't regret it.

Come here if you are scared to try pole dancing like I was. I took one class and have been addicted for years. It doesnt matter if you are a professional, athlete, or if its the first time getting up from the couch. Worth driving across town for. Seriously life changing. The most body positive and supportive community. I can't say enough good things!

Went for a class and liked the routine. Not an understanding place if you have to miss a class. Not easy to get in contact with management, you’ll have to reach out multiple times. I missed 2 classes. I spoke with the front as I had a valid reason and was instructed to reach out to management. Management refunded upon this review and multiple text messages.

This place was my first experience ever with pole and it really sparked my interest in the sport/dance. It's a very nice and welcoming studio, it has a great atmosphere to it. The instructors are all awesome, I've had classes with most of them and they make you feel welcome and have fun. I do wish there were a few more options for beginner classes as a lot focus on more advanced choreo or tricks imo, but I definitely would recommend Pole Prowess whether you are a complete beginner with their intro and Pole 1 classes or a more advanced poler interested in working on flow or tricks.

I'm only giving three stars due to a poor experience with the instructor Tina. This was my second time going and I'd brought two friends with me. The class started late so we lost 10-15min of our hour. For an intro class we all felt the routine was a little too much for us newbies. Since we started late the routine she was teaching was a bit rushed and for the entire song so it was alot to remember with many tricks. We had a short time to learn and get it down. What really turned us off was Tina's condescending tone and back handed comments that were rude. My previous instructor was a black man (sorry I don't remember his name) and loved his class with no issues. Tina needs a little work on her customer service/communication skills. My friends and I would go back for another class as the experience was fun but BEWARE OF BOOKING ANY CLASSES WITH TINA.

Fast paced at times, but completely enjoyable. No Bull, some of the best pole studio pricing I think I've ever experienced. They have a separate area for Open Pole, allowing classes and individual practice to occur simulateously.

Prowess was okay for just starting out but the amount of classes offered for pole 2 students just wasn’t enough for me to personally make progress. When I finally began making progress on my walkover, Lindsay was absent from teaching Monday’s two weeks straight and since the classes have no structure I didn’t get a chance to work on it with Andrea who kept throwing combos I wasn’t building foundation for. I considered going to open pole but I just don’t know enough about pole yet and prefer classes at the moment. I’m super disappointed because I really do have the drive to be good at it but I spent so much time on random things in pole two I never made progress. Now that I left I am making progress and getting stronger elsewhere and can finally invert. My only feedback for this studio is to make pole two As structured as intro, which was a great program for me and super inspiring with Cedric.

Awesome place for beginners! If you have been thinking about getting into pole or aerial dance, go to Prowess! It is such an amazing community of dancers who are so supportive. The instructors are so fun and really help challenge you in just the right way. Every single person who works here is truly motivated to helping you understand pole and overcome any fear. Whether that's dancing in front of everyone, looking silly or falling. One of the best things I started doing for myself was coming here regularly! One warning: you will become addicted and start twerking randomly for no reason.

We enjoyed a really great private pole class led by Cedric. He made us all feel comfortable with his humor and we all performed simple routines that looked so complicated at first. We were all wonderfully surprised at the routines we ran through due to Cedric's wonderful instruction.

Incredibly friendly and encouraging teachers that give excellent technical explanations and details. Individual poles for each student so your time is very well spent on you and not sharing and watching others. Fantastic resources are available for use provided by the studio including crash mats (extra thick ones), yoga mats, rubbing alcohol and microfiber towels, and more. I absolutely love this place and would recommend it over any other studio I've been to here in the valley.

I reserved studio rental time here to practice on my own and to be able to have my daughter with me. The owner met us at the studio. She was very nice and had a down to earth and kind demeanor. I liked that she took time to interact with my daughterand my daughter seemed charmed by her studio and just the vibe in general. She was very accommodating and her studio was beautiful, very neat and clean with nice high sturdy poles. Near the end of my our time there I took a peak in the second pole room and saw some of her clients practicing. They looked very skilled and strong so I plan on trying some classes at this studio. I am very picky with where I will practice and take classes from and I was very impressed with this studio.

Prowess is a great studio for those who are more athletically-inclined. I am being quite honest when I say that, and do not mean any offense- but rather it is an observation. :) The level 1 is a 4 class series; each class is 90 minutes. On the second class, you start to learn how to climb. The class I was in, the 2 other ladies climbed to the top at the 2nd class of Level 1. Then, at the end of those 4 classes, you have to be able to climb to graduate to Level 2. You will see very talented classmates who progress easily through the moves.
It is hard and challenging, and I truly admire all those strong ladies and gentlemen in this studio. The key tip is to remember to always do your best and you will have a lot of fun! I mastered one or two tricks from Level 2 and struggle-bussed through the rest when I was there last year, but it was all in all a good way to spend my evening.
The teachers are very encouraging and are always there to help, as well! They are always there to "spot you" too- meaning they'll hold you and make sure you don't fall out of moves. :) Lindsay and Andrea are two of the best. Linsday is also the owner, and I have to say she is also very kind anytime I reached out to her with questions about class packages, etc.
I really miss going to this studio and I hope I can come back and take more classes.

Went in for 30 mins to do the open pole they offer. It's like open gym but with dance poles. Very laid back group of people. It wasn't crowded. They have 3 poles in the smaller front room for the people who just want to come and work out. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet place to practice.

Cedric was the instructor of the day.
It was really hot in the class and the instructor kept complaining about it. He didn't seem motivated or interested in teaching and was very vague when class asked questions (as if it wasn't a beginner's class). Disappointed with this 1st time experience aside from driving over 20 miles just for this class.

Wow. This was a complete and absolute blast. I took an intro class with Cedric A. and he was so energetic and motivating. We did a warm up, followed by some stretches, and then we got comfortable with ourselves and our handy dandy pole. We did some choreographed stuff, starting simply, then adding to it, kinda like that game "Simon" where you have to remember the ever-growing sequence. I forgot at one point, but Cedric was right there with the class so it was easy to pick up and continue. Cedric made me feel completely comfortable and engaged during his instruction, and the way he explained everything was really easy for me to follow. I'm not the most coordinated person on earth, so seeing him perform what we're about to do, then breaking it down, and then repeating it step by step while explaining what to do and where to hold was as easy as 1-2-3! I thought I'd be a pro in no time flat... LOL WRONG NOPE NOT EVEN.
Apparently there's like four or five levels of this stuff at Prowess. Intro was hard... and I lift, bro... Daily. No, this is an entirely new concept of workout. Lots of static holds, which are great for strength training, but instead of remaining stationary, your body is twirling around with this elegant grace. It's really a lot of fun. I liked it so much, I took several more lessons from the studio owner, Lindsay. She is the sweetest instructor I've ever met. I've done martial arts for six years, soccer, basketball, swimming... Lindsay and her instructors are teaching something unlike anything most people have ever done, and they do it with such a simple, fun approach. You progress so fast with how they teach you to do things, and your muscles become conditioned for the movements and with enough practice, you go from this awkward lump to this graceful body artist (well, not me yet, I need more practice!)
I came in one day for open pole to practice what I had learned and there was a level 3 class going on. WOW. I'm a pretty strong dude, but there's no way I can do what those ladies were doing in there (yet). Upside down stuff. Holding themselves up with a leg stuff. I saw two people doing something on the same pole, like, together, like a formation, and my jaw just hit the floor. And that was just level 3! And they were all having a blast, laughing and stuff, seriously this place is like a second home to some of them, you can tell. It's just a crazy warm, loving vibe when you're around everyone, they're like family.
They teach other stuff, too. Lyra, Silks, Chains, Stretching (being 'bendy' is just as important as being strong and conditioned!) and Choreography... Speaking of choreography, the students of Prowess put on a crazy cool performance every two months called "Cirque Saturday". WOW. Even if you're not a student, fantastic to watch. I literally couldn't even with the amazingness. I've gone to like four or five already, I'm seriously hooked! Some of the upper-level students even remember who I am now (Hi Kelsey! Hi Emily!).
If you've been looking for something new and exciting, challenging and fun, and don't want to drag yourself to a gym to deal with "Bros" and "personal trainers" that don't know anything at all, not enough spots to get your workout done in a timely manner, etc... then go to Prowess! If you're serious about training, take the classes and you'll be hooked, breaking a sweat, smiling and laughing and going home sore AF. Totally worth every second! Thank you Prowess Pole Fitness, Cedric, and Lindsay!!!!
