Amazing breath work, a good balance of stretches, balance poses and long holds. Juli provided guided breathing with each pose and a bit of meditation at the beginning and at the end of the class. I felt that this class was good for strengthening and toning muscles, there was slow transition between poses but the long holds did provide adequate challenge for my body. Also loved the soothing and meditative music. The view was nice, facing the fountain, you can see the tortoises jump in and out of the the pond. Left there feeling very relaxed and energized for the day. Thanks for an amazing class.

One of the best Yoga Studios I have practiced at! This is my second year traveling to Arizona and truly was looking forward to returning to practice at My Spirit Yoga. Yoga instructors are kind, experienced and truly authentic offering a variety of classes. Definitely a larger studio with beautiful decor, stunning park with water views of ducks as well as turtles.

Just a "heads up" -- the Wednesday 5:30 pm class is mis-labeled. It is a good, basic Vinyasa class, but it is NOT a "Power" class (no advanced poses or arm balances, a minimum standing sequence). In fact, it is very similar to the Thursday 5:30 class, which is simply called "Vinyasa Flow". For consistency, I suggest the schedule be changed to reflect the same title for Wednesday's class.

I've visited a handful of times and have always had a wonderful experience. Friendly staff and instructors. Nice views.

They offer a wide range of class options including wall yoga, vinyasa yoga, yoga nidra, and (my personal favorite) yin yoga.

This studio is very affordable as well. I like to visit different studios around the East Valley (the MindBody app has been great for this!) and have found their rates to be some of the best.

I'm deeply grateful for my time here! I was only in Arizona for a few months on an internship, but this place became a major influence in my life. At the time there were regular Yin and Nidra classes, which I'd attend as often as I could. As I'd come to find out later this deeply meditative side of Yoga is kind of hard to come by. I love the Vinyasa Flow class with Marilyn. She is very considerate and takes the time to get to know her students and their body needs and modifies the class to student interest. I love that she doesn't play music because I can hear her instructions and don't get distracted. Also this studio has let me cancel my booking and credits the next time, I appreciate this so much as it can be hard for my schedule to make some weeks.

This studio offers free classes that are taught by their teachers in training. Coming into the studio, I was just blown away by how huge the studio was! I have been to quite a few yoga studios and I have yet to see a studio as large as this one. They had lots of different rooms for classes and a spacious gift shop where you could buy clothes. They also had a very spacious and neat restroom area too.

Inside the room where I took my class, there was plenty of space so everyone could be spaced apart. I also liked the open feel with the high ceilings and the large open windows that face the duck pond.

The teacher in training was great too. He was humble and down to earth, and he even pointed out some helpful posture corrections. I came to the class with an awful headache and by the time the class was done I felt so much better. :)

This place is pure magic. Its not often you find anything that is both the best at what they do AND the best deal in town. Spirit of Yoga is my happy place, one of the few keystones of what makes the Tempe area livable. I have been doing yoga here (including the old location on Apache) for about 14 years. They focus on alignment, breathe, and toeing the edge so you are challenged but not injuring yourself. The instructors are all great. The studio is beautifully and peacefully decorated, with views of trees and a pond and occasional adorable ducks observing from outside. Most classes play.mantra music and (optional) Om at the beginning of class, which I appreciate.

I am a current student here. I just finished the Yoga Teacher Training 200 hour program and have signed up for a yoga specialty 100 hour program. The teachers are experts in their respected fields. I was new to yoga before enrolling and have found it to be beneficial on a physical and spiritual level. As a minister it is nice to be exposed to different cultural aspects of of yoga. At Spirit of Yoga I must stress that religion is not practiced here. Cultural elements of the Yoga practice and ancient beliefs are discussed. Would recommend to take offered classes for every level of yoga, from novice to advanced.

A phenomenal space! Gorgeous decor, a calming environment and wonderful grounds. While in class you look out to a pond with a water feature or a greenbelt. The unity yoga model is very nice too so that all can practice in their own way. I've never encountered such amazing yoga teachers who are kind, authentic and very good at what they do.

One of the best Yoga studios I've been to! The staff and instructors are amazing. Beautiful facilities, aesthetically pleasing with wonderful natural surroundings of green grass, water/pond, that can be seen from the classrooms’ full sized windows. First class is complimentary, plus students (of any community college or university) pay only $9 per class with student ID!! It is just a wonderful place, with wonderful people  ♥♥♥

By far the best Yoga studio I've been to. The staff and instructors are TOP NOTCH! The facility itself is extremely aesthetically pleasing, but then you also have the surrounding land, with the large lawn, which classes can also be taught on...the pond with the ducks, turtles and coy fish. The windows of the 3 large studios face the natural surroundings and make for a truly unique experience. You are immersed in spirit and get in a great practice every time. As if that wasn't enough, the first class is complimentary and the students training who are training to be yoga teachers offer practicums for feedback to the public all week long! So this is the best studio AND educational facility all in one. Then...when the class is over...I can go to Sprouts next door for a healthy snack that's not fast food. Win win situation!

Spirit of Yoga ~ Beautiful yoga center with a large schedule of drop-in studio classes available and an amazing yoga teacher training program. Fabulous yoga teachers. Located in a beautiful, lush green office park with plenty of parking and restaurants and shops nearby. There is no judgement or competition here whatsoever...it is a wonderful experience--perfect for first time beginners to advanced yoga practitioners.
