This place has it all! 6 squat racks, 3 Olympic weight platform, 2 bench presses, 2 leg presses, smith machine, 3 sets of dumb bell, lots of cardio equipment on the 2nd floor, lots of private classes. Hack squat! Hip thrusters!! Everything!! This is like my 2nd home, the staff and owner are very friendly. They answer all your questions. And if they donβt know. Theyβll help you find it. And they also have very good trsiners & physical therapist too!! Love it

Friendly employees, way overpriced. First day, greeted by a manager wearing 2 masks.. with a beard no less. I'm an industrial chemist, and I write standardized operating procedures for PPE for a living. You cannot stop a virus with a paper cloth, you're not even keeping larger particles in if you have a beard. You need a biosuit with respirator to be totally safe from .01micron virus particles. Y'all are delusional. Scientific/physical laws don't change, sorry. Particle exclusion is universal. CNN on several screens... Surprise, surprise.
Twice the price of planet fitness, half the gym. Worn out, old equipment, moldy showers, generally just unkept. Needs paint, repairs, etc. Not even close to worth the money.

What an amazing facility! I probably would've never come here if it wasn't for ClassPass. I'm glad I got to squeeze in a workout in Flagstaff while traveling away from Phoenix. This is one of the most beautifully located gyms I've been to. It's in town, but just off the main road, nestled in a forested ponderosa pine area. Quite a change from the concrete jungle I'm used to. π
All their equipment is current and well-maintained. Very clean facility. They got a steam room I'll need to check out another time, because they hadn't fired it up yet by 7am (sign on the door said it'd be on at 8: 30am). Lots of elliptical and free weights everywhere so you can find any corner to do your routine without any need to wait for something to become available. Glad I came!

Searching throughout Flagstaff for a gym and came upon this gem.
Tucked back alittle ways from a main street so it's not too busy to access is a plus, plus for me.
Staff were very helpful and welcoming which is nice since choosing a place to workout was high on my agenda. Place has a little of everything to choose from and wasn't crowded when I went (5p - 615p on a Friday night). They have a Steamroom which I haven't tried yet but very excited about.
Overall, feel good about this place and cannot wait to put in more gym time throughout the year!!
Let's get it!

Basic gym, great classes. No pool or spa, but there are Steam Saunas in both locker rooms! A great way to warm up before or relax after your work out. Yoga and Silver Classes are available both in person or online through Zoom. Check their schedules for days and times. I've been to these classes and they are well worth the investment.

Expensive, but a decent gym that seems small but has a solid selection. Theres a nice little edge of the gym to get in your power lifts and actually more than enough bumper plates. Only one heavy bag but they allow different strikes besides punches which puts it at a 5 for me as it covers all my bases.

You replied so fair enough. Yet I stand by my review as you do not have your fees, memberships or contract pricing listed which always creates doubt and dubious reasoning on why not listed. Your response is welcomed. You claim a $53 per month no contract or signing fees or termination fees, correct? If correct I will strongly consider to sign up and change the star rating to 5, fair enough?

I chose Summit Health & Fitness as my gym when I moved to Flagstaff 5 1/2 years ago mainly because it was right across the street from my work. I am so happy that I did! They have upgraded so many things in the time I have been there & are always adding new equipment. There is absolutely EVERYTHING you could ever need for a great workout. Everyone is super nice & have been great at communicating throughout the challenges of Covid & realizing how important working out is to their members.

It's OK. It is wasn't for the virus, I'd be at the YMCA, as it's half the price, or the HLC, as for the same price you get a lot more. I got the three month package for 180 dollars, so 60 dollars a month.

It all depends on what you are looking for. I was deciding between this place , the NAU gym (that does allow community members) and Flagstaff Athletic club. All are nice facilities. This place ultimately has less options and is much smaller but it is still right for me. I don't need a pool or basketball court, and I like a quiet, smaller, low-key environment. This gym is fairly small but has all the basics of a gym that most people need: free weights, machine weights, lots of cardio equipment, group classes, showers. It has free wifi. It is quieter and less crowded than the other two gyms. I walk in the door and I don't need to go through a maze to find the workout equipment I'm looking for. The staff are very kind and friendly and there is always plenty of parking. I also love that they are open most holidays. My one gripe is with the showers: the hot water is good. But the rooms are freezing during the winter. It is like the heater doesn't go to that part of the building. Also the water pressure isn't great and there is just nowhere to place shampoo, soap, etc.

While it may be a good gym compared to the others in Flagstaff, it is still not a great gym. It's focus is not on weightlifting, as evident by all the equipment coming from a company that hasn't been in business for over a decade (bodymasters). The gym is focused on saving money (the freeweights are old, the towels suck, the lockers suck) and the music is predominately twenty to thirty years old and played at a volume barely loud enough to hear. When the recommendation was given to get some 100lb plates, the manager said no because they hire people who aren't strong enough to put them away if left out. That being said, the communication between the manager and the users is pretty good, even if it consists of mostly excuses.

Was in town for a few days and worked out here twice purchasing day passes ($12). Great gym for free weights the dumbbells go up to 130 lbs and there is a section for Olympic lifting and deadlift type exercises. There is a board on the wall with max lifts from powerlifting meets which is something you don't see much in gyms anymore. Upstairs there are plenty of treadmills, freemotion/cable machines, and a ton of stretching things to use. Even noticed a vertical jump tester thing upstairs. Free towels provided.

They really need to upgrade. Benches, machines, pads on machines, some cable pulleys very worn out. Let's get into the 21st century already. In addition they are raising rates... Sometimes there is not enough equipment for everyone when it's busy.

I do not recommend this gym. They do not have an option to have a membership without a contract. If you are a student, this is likely to become a problem if you are unable to afford payments, or if you simply wish to leave back to your hometown after you are done with school. Ultimately, they WILL go after your credit - as heavily as they can. I recommend going to Insurgent instead, which is geared toward heavy lifters and people who are serious about fitness. They also do not require you to sign a contract; which is more power to you.

Now this what I call a GYM. Nothing but the essentials. Perfect floor layout, weightlifting equipment easily accessible and spacious. Built in magnetic locks on lockers makes storing your possessions easy, quick and secure. Showers, sauna, they even teach classes for the elderly, getting them moving! It was such a beautiful sight see REAL effective training put into action and if all that wasnt enough the lady up front was a complete sweetheart. It must be the Eclipse 8/21/17 but today was GREAT. Next time I'm in town im definitely coming here again and will no doubt reccomend to my friends.... Oh and a 12$ day pass!? ... you cant beat that... you can't... -David

I moved away from Flagstaff, and I have to say, that I really miss this gym. I was a member for over a year and I have to say- they are not pushy, but have classes available, it's clean, people leave you be to work your fitness routine, but are still friendly. I've joined several gyms as I have moved and I still haven't found a gym that I felt as comfortable in as Summit. Wish I could make a copy of it in my new location.
