The mission of The Firm Pilates Body Training Centers is to give our student, whether a beginner or advanced, a safe place to practice Pilates. It is our intention to keep the teaching of pilates safe and effective for all students. It is incumbent for our teachers to always act responsibly and with the student's interest in mind. Getting in shape with Pilates is a path anyone an embark on, from the couch potato to the uber-athlete. All Pilates exercises can be modified to meet the needs of the individual. Whether you train with the Pilates equipment or just the mat exercises, you can always adjust the motion and intensity to your own personal level.

I’ve been doing Pilates since 2020. I’m absolutely obsessed. But in 2023 I switched to Firm Body Pilates and it truly transformed my body. I am the best shape of my life. Also the whole atmosphere feels like a family. I look forward to coming every day!

Having had over 20 years of Pilates training I found The Firm in N Scottsdale extremely disappointing.
It is well equipped and primarily designed for group sessions. The private one on one sessions are difficult due to the surrounding noise and activity of many people.
Over the 18 sessions my husband and I shared we were stood up 3 times and cancelled last minute twice.
The business is poorly managed and the quality of the experience for private session is poor.
Pilates should be an enjoyable mind body experience which The Firm did not provide.
There are many Pilates studios in Scottsdale.
Recommend avoiding The Firm.

Seriously no better studio! Jodi is the sweetest soul and the staff is amazing. You will not find a more well trained or knowledge crew than this one. Started off with a private session and never looked back! You’ll love Firm Body! Also, they helped me work on my alignment and problem issues, thus allowing me to get deeper into the work of 6 years practicing. Can’t recommend enough!

I’ve been attending group classes at Firm Body Pilates for about a year now. I always feel like I had a GREAT workout and invigorated after every class. The instructors are highly trained and provide guidance & correct form whenever needed. The classes are fun, just the right amount of challenging and vary every time. I also feel that I’ve gained a lot of core strength since starting there.

The instructors and classes are amazing! The first noticeable change for me was my balance! Now I can honestly say that my Pilates experience has made me overall in much better alignment, overall improved whole body strength, overall better posture, and feeling so much more supported in my physical goals!

I wish I could leave a 10 star review for FBP! I love it that much!
I'm a snow bird and only in the studio half the year - and when I am not in town to go to to FBP - I have withdraw.
All the instructors are amazing. Everyone is patient, kind and give great instructions/cues. I leave the classes and feel very empowered because of the things I am able to accomplish, thanks to these fabulous instructors.
Jodi (& Caroline, Maria, Tara and Ashley) have.a great pilates studio and they have created an incredible community within the pilates studio. It makes the workout that much more fun!

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE REVIEW. I love Pilates. The fitness benefits as we age are very good ie muscle tone improvement, increase flexibility and balance but be careful. Those who are new to Pilates or even those with experience, you should be aware most Pilates studies do not offer heavy loaded twisting techniques as well as "short spine" due to the potential to cause harm. These techniques can lead to spine issues. Some believe these techniques help or even " cure" osteopenia and osteoporosis. There are no good studies indicating this is correct. In fact, Rehab physicians, PT and Pilates experts recommend people with osteopenia, osteoporosis, previous back issues, and "the very old" not do these exercises. I want to be very verbal about this to keep everyone informed and safe. Firm Pilates workouts often do include these techniques in a group setting so be very careful. I did attempt to reach out to the owner of Firm Bodies, Jodi.
Stay Safe Everyone and" Do and Love Pilates" !!
On 1/20/20023 I got hurt during a Pilates workout on the Cadillac. I tried calling and texting Jodi about this. The most concerning to me is the lack of concern for the safety of her clients (never mind I thought she was a friend). Not only did she continue to advertise "short spine " maneuver as a way of treating osteoporosis. There is absolutely no "cause and effect" medical literature that this is true. Osteoporosis is a complicated process with osteoclast and osteoblast activity.
Jodi texted me once (after injury) texting she would find some time to call me. (NEVER ALLED). On that same text , she blamed the instructor instructing me that day. Jodi said she had several conversation with this instructor regarding teaching certain manuvers during her classes because they were dangerous and that she would have that conversation again with her. This is in a text to me. Shame on you Jodi !!! I wasn't going to say anything but you left me no choice. Your behavior is questionable.
You've taken NO accountability for this. I personally have seen you teach those same maneuvers to your clients. Your Pilates studio is what it is because of that instructor. Throwing her under the bus is shameful. Totally shocking.
It's almost March now. I haven't heard from you . No concern or empathy at all. Not for me or for all your clients. I gave you a chance to call me so we could have this conversation in private. I feel it's important to get this message out to keep everyone safe. Short spine and heavily weighted twisting maneuvers can cause injury in individuals over 55. the risk is higher than the benefit. Love Pilates and do pilates but Watch your backs !......Jodi certainly isn't to......

If you have not experienced Pilates at The Firm Body yet you’re truly missing out! I have been in sports and an avid gym goer my entire life. Up until about a year ago I was struggling with hip mobility, shoulder pain, a tight chest, and some severe achilles pain. I started implementing Pilates in to my weekly workout routine and within a matter of weeks I noticed a significant change. Caroline has been my coach since the beginning and has been truly amazing. Not only has she helped me overcome nagging ailments but also build strength in other areas of my body. The most noticeable change has been when playing sports (basketball/volleyball) and for that I am grateful. MEN NEED PILATES!!! The Firm Body studio has a positive and upbeat vibe when you walk in and the coaches are all very friendly. Highly recommend!

We really truly enjoy the private classes, and group classes. Caroline and Maria are some of the best instructors yet, they truly know how to conduct an amazing class. The Firm Body Pilates is my favorite Pilates studio ever! The studio itself is absolutely beautiful, all the equipment is in perfect condition, and the instructors are all super friendly and well trained. Workouts are never boring and can be customized for your needs. I always enjoy my sessions with both Caroline and Jodi. My body has never felt better!

What an amazing Pilates studio!! They deliver a great workout that makes my body feel worked out without it feeling worn out. All the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. I have taken classes taught by Maria and Caroline and they do a truly amazing job listening to your needs and goals. They also do a great job at sharing their enthusiasm for Pilates with me and I look forward to every time I get to go in! The studio is very clean and in a beautiful location.
