Sierra has been a miracle worker and such a pleasure to work with. I first came to Transform with back pain that I was hoping to relieve with proper strength training, but in the process I also learned about balanced nutrition and lost over 30 pounds in ~1 year. Thanks to the skills Sierra taught me, I’ve been able to maintain my weight loss even through a chaotic schedule, many travels, and two surgeries that kept me off my feet for some time. She taught me how to be mindful through those inconsistencies and always encouraged me even when I felt like I was starting back at square 1 with my lifting routine. I couldn’t recommend her enough!

Matt is amazing! Let me start by saying I’ve been a consistent gym girlie for two years and never really saw any changes. I wanted my gym results to actually show on my body—not just from showing up. Matt helped me reach my goals in just four weeks, thanks to his professional knowledge.

This gym is Great!!! I came here a year ago because I drove through the parking lot and saw the name Transform and that's exactly what I needed to do so I made the call and it was easy. I got set up with Sierra who's been my trainer for over a year and she has definitely helped me to transform my body! She's a great trainer and the whole gym is very positive and friendly which makes it a pleasure to go to. I used to really not look forward to my training sessions but now I look forward to them and I'm making more progress toward my weight loss goal.

I actually am leaving a review for Matt and his nutrition program, which I used for losing weight. From the initial consultation, to my last day with him, Matt was there every week for the feedback, the guidance and valuable information on how to not “diet”, but to change my approach to food and make it a lifestyle. Using his guidelines, and common sense approach to losing weight, I was able to successfully shed the pounds, even though I went through some health issues, vacations, and even a surgery. Becky is amazing. I was in need of a personal trainer and felt the it was difficult to find the time to work out with my work schedule. The only time was early before work. It was hard at first and now I wouldn’t want to start my mornings without her. She does an exceptional job find the right exercises for me and I keep getting stronger every day. I have to be honest - I do not enjoy working out. Get me alone in a gym and I’ll stop my session within 30 minutes, as soon as I get a little tired. For me, it takes going to a personal trainer to be motivated and get results. And it takes a truly gifted and wonderful trainer like Becky to keep me going for six years! She’s the best!!

Matt is amazing! He has a wealth of nutritional knowledge which is so helpful in learning to make better choices. We still eat what we want and go out often, but are mindful of what we’re eating. I’ve gotten more critical if the food is worth the calories etc. He understands the psychological part of eating having been there himself, it gives him credibility. In addition to nutrition he’s also passionate about transforming 😉 bodies from fat to fit through his individually tailored workouts. He’s able to pin point particular muscle groups and improve their appearance and strength. All of the trainers share his passion and desire to help people work towards being their best. An update to my previous review, it’s now been 3 years since my husband and I started working with Matt Hoodie and our lives and bodies have truly been transformed. I also know my diet and food choices are firmly established. Having gone through a major surgery 3 months ago, I was able to stay lean and had minimal amount of muscle loss through the healing process. Matt is also great now that I’m back working out to be cautious and yet push to get me back where I was pre op. If you really want a life change and are willing to put in the work, this is your place!

I have been training at Transform Scottdale with Sierra for nearly 4 years. I have shed weight, maintained my loss and more importantly put on muscle mass through this training and her adjustment to my diet. She pushes me as much as I occasionally moan and groan – I am not a “spring chicken” let’s say but am an active person. I appreciate her attention to my form and adjusting exercises to compensate for a tiny bit of arthritis in my thumbs. The environment at Transform is very professional and comfortable. It’s been years since I have dialed in my diet but I do a good job at maintaining my physique and weight. In Oct of 2023 I wanted to finally make some additional changes and lose some additional body fat and water from my mid section that seems to always be my problem area. Within two weeks I was down 10 lbs, I was eating more, and consuming 3-4 the amount of carbs. I WAS BLOWN AWAY! Matt is welcoming and knowledgeable in his field. He thoroughly stepped us through their processes. Nutrition is included which is a plus. This is our first time recording our daily food/drink. It's amazing how you become more aware and accountable!
It'a only been a month and we already see results. Matt keeps us moving and 45 minutes flies by. He customized our workouts based on our individual needs/desires. We started 2 days per week but will increase to 3 days.
We highly recommend Transform to help get you fit and live healthier.

I trained with Alicia for 8 weeks. Previously I had been running 5ks and 10ks and wanted to get back into strength training. This is a top notch gym and all the trainers are great. Alicia was able to create a plan for reaching my goals, all I had to do was show up. Before our last session she created a detailed plan for me to follow as I will be continuing to train on my own. I had the privilege of working with Matt Hoodie who came highly recommended by a friend. I reached out to Matt to help me dial in my nutrition and improve my metabolism. He guided me through the challenging phase of a calorie deficit to cut down my body fat a little and then a reverse diet to increase my maintenance calories.
What sets Matt part isn’t just his expertise and incredible support and accountability, but his philosophy of sustainability. Working out and staying physically fit has never come easy for me. Like so many others I've always struggled with maintaining a healthy weight, despite occasionally having success with diet and exercise programs. The problem for me is that I've always looked at those programs as a means to and end. I would change my behavior for a designated period of time, lose weight and then stop. Before long, old habits would inevitably creep back in and you know the rest.
It was during my first session with Matt that I realized this program was completely different then anything I've tried in the past. For one, this isn't a program! Matt and the team at Transform Scottsdale don't seem interested in helping their clients reach temporary or short term results. It may be cliche but I honestly feel as if my long term success and a change in lifestyle is deeply important to them.
The tools that they use are phenomenal and three fold. First of all the facilities and the gym are great. The selection of equipment and cleanliness is what you would expect from a high end health facility in this area. What is refreshing is the atmosphere they've created. It truly is a judgement free zone and people are there to work and not show off.
Second the time and effort they put into meal planning is amazing! I was provided with a list of foods and ingredients that they recommend for a healthy lifestyle. All of these products are available for purchase in local stores or can be easily obtained through online ordering. We're not taking about a bunch of bars and shakes here. The foods on their list are diverse and are great options to replace some of the more unhealthy food cravings. In addition to the individual food items I was given entire recipes that make meal planning extremely easy.
Finally the third and in my opinion the most important tool they use is communication. I have been so impressed with the time and effort that has been put in to following up with me on a routine basis. It's amazing how helpful a text message or quick call can be to help me stay on the path and stay focused. The effort is thoughtful and greatly appreciated.
During that first meeting Matt helped me to understand that the way I looked at weight loss was part of my problem. I've come to understand that I'm not in a race sprinting towards a finish line. In actuality it's not a race at all. Staying fit and making healthy choices is a daily proposition. It's a path that I'm happy to walk and I'm grateful for the team at Transform Scottsdale for walking with me.

Transform is so true to its namesake! I have lost 10% body fat in just 6 months; I am leaner and more fit than I have ever been in my entire life and I am 57! And all of this without spending hours in the gym. I do 45 minute sessions 3 days a week. I met with Matt initially and based on our interview he knew immediately that Sierra would be the right trainer for me and he was so right!
Sierra is amazing - she set me up on a reasonable nutritional plan that is easily doable and flexible. When it comes to nutrition, she has a way of holding me accountable that is so caring and motivating when I have an off day (which we all have!). Pretty amazing place. Meeting Sierra and the team was probably one of the best things that has happened to me. I thought I was reasonably healthy - exercised regularly (weights, hockey, running, soccer) but not feeling that great and looking for a change. Within a month working with Sierra my health had totally changed. With 3 young kids, long work hours and lots of travel, I still feel way better at 37 than I did at 27. Have lost around 25 lbs in 3 months while getting significantly stronger, more flexible, etc.

Losing the weight is always tough. Knowing what to eat and not to eat , working out , ect. With 3 kids and a full time job just makes thing even more difficult but once I found Matt Barker things got so much easier. He was able to help me with food and workouts. He taught me how to manage how I eat without feeling like I am deprived. It was still difficult getting in gym time but with just the help of eating I began to see changes. I have worked out throughout my life but was needing a kickstart to get me motivated again and back into a routine. The whole staff is very friendly and accepting, no matter what stage you’re at with your fitness, from beginner to advanced. They also help with nutritional coaching and instruction, and combined with the exercise sessions you can really see results. If you’re someone who has trouble getting to the gym on your own, want to supplement your exercise routine with a few sessions with a professional trainer, or are just starting out and want a safe, nonthreatening, accepting and friendly atmosphere, I highly recommend Transform!

Sierra is an amazing trainer. I worked with her for 8 months and saw such big transformations. She has incredible intuition and knowledge of perfect form, caters the workouts based on the individual and watches you like a hawk so you don’t slip. I have been really pleased with my experience here. The gym is smaller but has everything you need to get a great workout. It has a welcoming atmosphere and knowledgeable staff that are willing to take the time to make sure your nutrition and workout goals are being met and answer any questions you have. I contacted & visited Transform a year prior to actually joining. I wasn't 'ready mentally / financially at the time that I first contacted them.
Timing is everything, as they do not always have availability to accept new clients, so I feel fortunate my timing was spot on.
One of the many reasons I liked Matt's training method/ideology was there was no 'meal prep' or 'you can/can't eat this or that'. It was everything in moderation, tracking and balance. At any time if you ask Matt a question he has the answer without hesitation. Another important reason I chose this facility was that Matt, himself, has struggled with weight and what better example to learn from, than himself. My personal experience is that you have to want it and be dedicated to your journey. I will admit, even after starting with Transform, I lost my own drive and stayed stagnate for far longer than I should have. I am thankful Matt didn't 'fire' me as he had every right to do just that. There is an amount of personal dedication one must have to obtain their goals. When I got my 'head together' and started really listening to what this man had to say I started to see results. At 55 years old now, I've struggled with menopause for the last five years. For the majority of my life I've been athletic and fit. Hitting menopause threw my mental state and body into a whole new level of anxiety ... I wasn't prepared for handling. My hormones were in check when I came to Matt, but my mental state was not. Because Matt has his own ongoing journey and dealing with his internal struggles (as we all do) he is more than empathetic and sympathetic to his client's needs and concerns. He is always available ( maybe not immediate, but eventual ) to his clients. He's as dedicated to your journey as you are. All of the trainers in the facility seem very dedicated to their clients and process. I am now down 25 lbs and have more muscle than I've ever had in my entire life. It’s possible to achieve any goals at this personal training gym! Everyone is so friendly and very experienced. I did not originally think my goal was possible to execute but with the help of my trainer, Sierra, I have made it!!!! Sierra has always helped me stay motivated and is easily reachable at any time I’ve needed her. While this can be an expensive journey, it is worth it. They don't play any "contract tricks" - you pay per session only, which is considerably different from the chain gyms which want initiation fees and are quick to charge and slow to cancel for memberships. I’ve been training at Transform Scottsdale once a week for 30 minutes with Rhianna Scolli since the beginning of 2019. I regularly go to barre and spin classes, but wanted to supplement that with some personal training to target the other areas of my body that aren’t addressed through barre and spin. We mostly focus on back work, and I’ve noticed a huge difference in my back strength and posture over recent months! Even just going once a week, I’ve noticed a difference and can handle a lot more weight than I could when I first started going. Rhianna keeps things fresh by switching up the exercises and coming up with all kinds of creative and fun ways to work me out. They have all kinds of equipment and weights to work with. Rhianna is a stickler for good form and helps me to ensure my body posture is correct when I’m doing each exercise so that I get the most benefit out of it. She also got me started tracking my food and calorie intake so that I can make more informed and healthy food choices. Most importantly, she asks you what your goals are so that she can tailor the workout to what you’re looking for. In my case, I’m not really looking to lose weight and she recognizes that. The other trainers seem really competent and nice. I highly recommend Transform Scottsdale for personal training! Many of their customers have experienced significant body transformations. Rhianna will work your butt off!

I cannot begin to explain the impact training at transform has had on my life already. Clean gym with top of the line equipment. Compared to other trainers it is very affordable considering you receive both nutritional coaching and personal training. As someone who grew up in athletics and being on a variety of eating plans, working with different trainers my body has gone through a large series of physical highs and lows at different points in my life. Before I had come in to see Matt and the team I was at my heaviest weight and most unhealthy point in my life. I am not finished with my transformation but can say after 2 months am down 28 lbs.

I got the privilege to sit down with Matt Hoodie the past couple days and I cant tell you how much I have learned just within a week! Becky has been such an amazing help not only with nutrition but also training, being in the marine corps I’m not able to get training from her often but when I needed to lose 12 pounds in 6 days she helped me with my nutrition and was able to train me for 2 days. She was able to get me down those 12 pounds in order for me to make weight, she took the time out of her busy day to check on me and see how I was feeling and making sure I wasn’t starving myself. I can’t say enough wonderful things about transform! They are truly interested about your fitness goals and they educate you on what your daily caloric intake should be by breaking down the macronutrients for you! The trainers clearly invest their time in your progress through fitness and nutrition unlike any gym that we have come across.
Becky is an exceptional top notch trainer!!! She listens to your goals and focuses on your problem areas and desires. In just 1 and ½ months, I’ve noticed my arms transform from flabby to where I can see the striations in my arm muscles. I usually leave the gym soaked in sweat and it is truly remarkable how I’ve physically transformed. My husband can definitely see a difference and I am no longer embarrassed to wear tank tops!
Not only is she a stellar trainer, but she really guides me to make better dietary decisions. I use the fitness app (my fitness pal) to track my daily caloric intake and it’s been a huge help in making better decisions. Becky makes changes accordingly to my intake or encourages me to stay on the path to my goals. She also gives me suggestions on how I can fulfill my nutritional goals every day.
Becky is also very likeable and has such a great energy about her! She makes it really fun to train with her and she pushes you with words of encouragement. Becky is always so positive and most importantly, she believes in you!

When I first started with him my main goal was to get back in shape after having a baby a year and a half earlier. let me share my personal experience about the personal trainers, I have been working out for last few years but not regular like On and off , But had a very bad opinion about the personal trianers as I have seen many of my friends and fellows joining a personal trainer in the gym I used to trian. I have never seen them transforming for years and most of the trainer I have met have no idea of the body style or the nurition thing they have to suggest. All they say was eat salads and low on carbs , which made me stay away from the personal training stuff, but I was more into fitness. Then I met SAIDEEP my buddy and my workout partner now. I have seen his transformation and was really suprised then I asked him to get an appointment with TOM, that decision of asking him for appointment changed my life now. I have always been active and for most of my adult life, yet even with being active, I was on the chubby side.
Around 10 years ago I changed my entire workouts and eating routine; on my own without a trainer or advice from fitness professionals. I dropped close to 30 pounds and would describe myself as a “thin” person, keeping the weight off until this past year. Introduce Marriage, 3 moves and the normal hectic schedules of life.
Slowly a few pounds crept back on. Even though I continued to be active and work out, I got soft. The dreaded word!!! SOFT!!
I sought out a gym where I could get personalized training with REAL ACCOUNTABILITY.
I found Transform and specifically Tom Welch at the beginning of May. He discussed my history, my eating and my schedule. He shared an eating plan (calorie/macro counting) and we agreed to train 2 times per week (one hour each session) added onto my 2-3 times per week HOT yoga.
At first I was resistant to the idea of calorie and macro counting but dedicated myself and committed to using the MyFitnessPal app to monitor my meals.
At first I wasn’t seeing any changes on the scale yet Tom’s regular texts when we weren’t together and our chats during the workouts kept encouraging me to stay on track, to not lose sight of my long term goals and to keep at it, was exactly what I needed. He was never pushy or bossy and instead was / is the right mix of accountability coach and “boss”.
As of today, the scale shows just a few “pounds” lost yet I have shrunk and I mean shrunk. I fit into all my clothes (some are even loose in certain areas) that used to be tight, so tight I couldn’t wear them. I’m muscular and strong. It’s a huge visible change in just 4 months.
Tom has shown me not stop looking at the scale, to trust the process of “fat loss” vs weight loss!

My sister and I have been training with Matt for about 5 months now, it has been fantastic. Matt is very knowledgeable and personable. More importantly he has gone through his own incredible weight loss transformation. This makes all the difference to me as someone who is overweight! He has been exactly in my shoes and can relate. The personal training setting feels very private and personal compared to a large gym. Matt has also given us each our own personalized nutrition and exercise plans which have changed my daily life for the best. He really cares about his clients. Day and night I know can I rely on him when i have a question or concern. I am so happy with my progress and Matt has really given me and my sister the tools we need to live a happier and healthier lifestyle!!!

These guys are professionals that know how to get results that are sustainable for the long haul. The nutrition program is based on a proven process that is fully backed by research. At Transform Scottsdale, you aren't going to be given a bunch of gimmicks and be confused by someones dogmatic B.S. You get the truth and more importantly, they care enough to keep their clients accountable.
I was referred to Matt by a trusted nutrition expert and I am so thankful that I followed through. I am a 34 years old business owner that CHOSE to put everything else in my life before my health. When I started with Matt, I weighed 314 lbs and I was tired, stressed, and was feeling horrible.
I am now 4 weeks in and can already say that I feel like a different person. I have already lost 22 lbs, my energy is incredible, and feel like a more engaged and effective husband/father/business owner.
After only 4 weeks I have a hard time believing the results myself but, it all comes down to trusting and working the process that Transform Scottsdale provides....IT WORKS and the best part is----I get to eat what I want (with moderation)----and I have yet to feel like I am hungry.

So this place makes me feel like the beast I have always been!! I love Tom Okrie, he has inspired me with his story, and always seems to have my back. He is encouraging and will always offer words of advice. Also, transform is a place where weight loss, muscle gains, or whatever the goal is, can be achieved in a healthy, lasting way. I've never worked out this hard and actually loved it! This is the place that I started the most important journey, and I'm proud to be a part of the transform family!
