Nine years ago, we relocated to Tucson. I was undergoing cancer treatment and not feeling well, missing my friends, my former neighborhood, and my previous city. My oncologist recommended that I join a support group, specifically the Tucson Cancer Conquerors (TCC). I sensed immediately that this was the ideal group for me. The members offer more than just support; they help build confidence, foster self-reliance, and strengthen both mind and body. Exercises are tailored to individual needs, and retreats and seminars are designed with women's needs in mind. These women are supportive not only during cancer treatment, but also throughout life's various joys and challenges. Birthdays are celebrated monthly, and losses are acknowledged with remembrance tiles.
When I lost my husband two years ago, I would not have been able to cope as well as I did without the close friendships I forged through the Tucson Cancer Conquerors.
The Tucson Cancer Conquerors comprises a group of women who are caring, generous, and friendly.
Thank my Tucson Cancer Conquerors Sisters. I am a very appreciative member.

I always thought of breast cancer as a disease that affects women over the age of 50. Never in a million years at the age of 44 with no family history I never thought I would hear the words "Breast Cancer" and "bilateral mastectomy". I am so grateful I found Tucson Cancer Conquerors. They welcome me and my girls with open arms. I have really learned a lot being a part of this group. I love how TCC focus on healthy survivorship. If you are looking for a group with beuatiful souls, encourging, fun and energetic warriors, check out what TCC has to offer.

This group received a very low score from me because of its lack of DEI.... diversity... equity... inclusion...twice I tried to join this group as a 'Black/American .they had only one other Black woman but she is no longer there..I was confronted with racist ..rude comments and jokes by some of its members. I left for the second time after I found that the only thing I had in common with this basically all 'white' group of women was the fact that most where 'cancer' surviors or had family members that were affected by 'Cancer'..I will not be someone's window dressing to give the public the illusion that this is a welcoming group for 'all'..it is NOT!
Yet members of the 'Board' within the group refused to confront the overt racist attitude and behavior of group members and told me that I simply did not 'fit' in...guess it was my color...my refusal to allow racist white women to make insidious jokes and comments to me and shurg off this insensitive..inhumane treatment as a person lacking sense of 'humor'...
This group is not what it purports to be . pull back the curtains and you will see women who are selfish and lacking empathy !

Iβm grateful that I found this amazing group. Everyone has been so welcoming and supportive. Itβs been great to have this group as I transitioned from being in treatment to survivor stage.

I was one of those who thought I could do the whole cancer thing on my own.... and honestly I could have. BUT I'm so glad I don't have to! I have been welcomed by everyone on my best days and my worst days. I love that the group is there to support you no matter what type of cancer you have had. They are inclusive of all cancer types and there are so many different cancers represented that you can often find someone with a similar story. If not, you can find someone who knows the feelings of going through treatment in all different forms and connect on that emotional level. I love that there are so many different ways to get involved. The focus on fitness, social and support makes this group well rounded and relevant for any survivor. I also love that we have buddies (caregivers and friends) so that those who've experienced cancer with someone else can also come and find/give support.

Joined this amazing group of positive people in the midst of cancer treatment because their mission matched mine. Strength - wellness - fitness - healthy habits - inspiring others - friendships. Have not been disappointed!
