I’m an older grappler from out of town and dropped in for a 6am bjj nogi class. Coach Lee was excellent and took time for corrections. Great sparring with others. Recommended.

I had heard good things about this place through the grapevine and that it was a friendly environment for all walks of life but it turns out that was not true. We went in the morning hours because were interested to see what daytime fitness classes were available for us to observe and also possibly inquire about personal training for seniors but the girl at the desk didn't even look up at her phone from us for about two minutes and finally when she did she said "I'm sorry but I don't think that this is the place for you." assuming because my husband and I are older. Needless to say we were appalled by this treatment and will be looking elsewhere for fitness advice and guidance.

Fantastic Muay Thai Instructor!

I can’t say enough great things about my Muay Thai instructor John Bassford. Their expertise, patience, and passion for the sport truly shine through in every class. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced fighter, they tailor their instruction to challenge you while ensuring proper technique and safety.

The training sessions are always engaging and intense, helping me push my limits while building confidence. They break down techniques clearly, correct mistakes in a constructive way, and genuinely care about their students’ progress. The energy and motivation they bring to every class make learning Muay Thai an exciting and rewarding experience.

If you’re looking for an incredible coach who is skilled, encouraging, and dedicated, look no further. Highly recommend! 5/5!

This place is awesome. I started coming a few weeks ago. Great instruction and the people here make you feel extremely welcome. Even my 5yr old daughter started kinder jiu jitsu and she loved her first class! I'm excited to see where this journey takes us! I highly recommend this gym.

I love this gym/training facility. I've been going for about a month. Good vibes. All of the weight lifting equipment you can ask for, Jiujitsu, Muy Thai and boxing. For a tatted up dude that's tired having an alarm go off when I walk into a gym, it's my new home.

Such a great gym. Huge mat space, lots of weight equipment. Instructors are all great, my daughter loves kids Muay Thai and did jiu jitsu for a while as well. I’ve done pretty much everything they offer over the years and enjoyed every minute.

I’ve trained martial arts and played sports since a little kid, I’ve never had a coach like John. His Muay Thai program is authentic Muay Thai, Thailand style. He’s the only coach who has had an impact on my life outside of the gym. Going to Thailand and training with the best of the best was an eye opening experience of how good and authentic the Muay Thai John teaches really is. The programs are essentially identical besides the resources that the Thailand gyms have in comparison to John. Also clinch is Alpha….John is the only striking coach I’ve met that teaches it.

I am glad found this gym and I love it.
I wanted to find a BJJ gym but a friend had invited me to a Muay Thai class so I tagged along. And I have to say the rain I joined was John Bassford the instructor. He really seemed to know what he was teaching, very knowledgeable, and technical.
I didn’t realize how knowledgeable he was until my recent trip to Thailand to train at Bangtao Muay Thai. They have many pro fighters coming out of this gym. And I feel like John’s program is very on par with the training in Bangtao. Our group of 15 seemed to perform very well in the Bangtao Muay Thai classes. Very happy John showed us the clinch and the importance of it.

Of course I also picked up BJJ. The reason I was looking for a gym in the first place and the instructors are great as well. Stephen and David have really been great to me in helping me compete in local tournaments. I’ve done 5 so far and have gotten nothing but a ton of support here.

Couldn’t have had a better experience. Walked into Undisputed with an interest in BJJ and Brandon and Cassie gave me a tour and signed me up for a trial class later that week. I joined immediately after. I’ve now trained at several gyms since moving away and can confidently say this gym is top tier when it comes to their coaches, friendliness, and safety. They take time to get to know their students and are welcoming of all skill levels. Their women’s BJJ program is especially fantastic and I have yet to find anything like it. The gym environment is fun and laid back, but takes training seriously. It’s such an approachable environment for beginners and helped me stay consistent in my training. The opportunity to train with several brown black belts was an invaluable experience. David, Stephen, Yvonne, Tara, Ginny, Gerald, Natalie, Brandon, Cassie, and John were life changing connections and teachers! Thanks for everything, y’all!

If you are willing to show up, this gym will change your life. Don't overthink it, just commit and go learn.

I started with Cassie and Brandon walking me through a couple of Jiu Jitsu classes to dropping in to any class/discipline I had time for, often staying for multiples. You can trust all of the coaches, and each one has a unique way of teaching.

They are never too busy for beginners, and have a wealth of experience for more advanced students.

If I still lived in Tucson, you could bet on catching me on the mats. Miss you guys!

Really disappointed in this gym. I signed up for a year membership, 120$ a month, a substantial amount. Then, 6 months in, I developed a muscle condition (that left me in chronic pain for a month) related to the high intensity workouts this gym offers. When I told this to one of the owners, the one who looks like Charlie Day, the only option he gave me was to suspend my account for three months, so I tried that. Lo and behold three months later I was still battling my condition, so I still couldn't go to the gym at all. When I told that to him this his response was "Well you signed a contract, the only thing that would get you out of this contract would be if you're paralyzed " How dismissive and not understanding in how the human body works. So I tried suspending my membership for three more months, as that would bring me to the month of March, which is when technically my membership would end. Well they still charged me after that three month suspension because apparently to them it would end after 12 full months of paid membership.
I will never go to this place again, it's over priced, not clean, no AC, and has horrible people owning it mongering for money.

Awesome place!

I haven't boxed or done any karate for over a decade. The Muay Thai instructors are amazing. They're calm, poised, knowledgeable, and know how to teach. They're patient, but they won't let you be lazy. They are fully supportive of you doing things at your own pace, but showing effort is still highly recommended. I've had a tremendous amount of fun so far, and I can't wait to attend more classes!

Undisputed is a fantastic gym! I did a free trial class in Muay Thai along with my 19 yo son. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming, from the staff at the front to other members and the teacher.

I was happily surprised that there were zero pressure tactics after the class to get us to join.

Both my son and I have been participating in the Muay Thai classes for a few weeks now and absolutely love it. John is an amazing teacher, supportive of beginners all the way to competitors and pushing everyone to excel at the level they’re at.

Everyone is friendly and I really like the family owned atmosphere that is apparent everywhere.

There are plenty of options for classes so it’s possible to work into a full schedule.

Undisputed has my whole hearted recommendation.

I came to Undisputed for two months while we were staying in Tucson for the winter. Blown away by the community, the kindness, and the quality of the training. I focused on muay thai and Coach John was one of the best muay thai trainers I have worked with. I have spent time training in the land of muay thai, Thailand, as well as other gyms in the US and Canada, and John's attention to detail, passion, and patience is top notch. I also loved Josh's boxing classes when I needed a break from the spicy muay thai.

I will absolutely be back, and know where to travel to when I need to fine-tune my skills!

2-3-2023 I went in today for my first class in kickboxing. I’m 51 and looking for ways to be active, and possibly learn some self defense. I was awkward and clumsy but the staff was phenomenal. Their team is helpful and professional. If you are putting it off for fear of feeling out of place, clumsy, awkward etc., do yourself a favor and take the leap. After the first hour I was drained and sore…but loved it. I will be back for more kickboxing and hopefully some Jujitsu

I trained Muay Thai here 4-5 times per week this past summer. Fantastic program. John is a great coach and I learned so much during my 3 months there. The people are hard working, kind, and welcoming.

I have 2 little one's in the kinder jiu-jitsu class. I prepaid for the year and in short, the class is... AH MAZING! The instructor Ms.Tara ( the main instructor) along with Mr. Travis who is equally amazing and serves as a beautiful role model for my son are both a HUGE asset to this gym and these kids will without a doubt remember their time here in jiu-jitsu because of the strong, positive impact Ms. Tara and Mr. Travis had on them. There are not enough words to describe just how great of an instructor Ms.Tara is. She definitely has a way with these kids that keeps them focused, learning, and engaged. Ms. Tara is gentle yet stern, calm, yet loud and clear! Mr. Travis is such a kind soul and great with the kids as well. As for pricing, I have to admit, it's pretty darn reasonable which helps keep us here as well. The gym itself definitely has an old school vibe to it which is cool and all but I do wish they would make some improvements and remodel a bit because honestly, it's a lil shabby looking. But... again, great program and AMAZING instructor's! I would definitely recommend.

Very beginner friendly and first class is free. You do not have to have any prior training to start. There are classes on the schedule designed specifically for beginners. Coaches are awesome and down to earth and treat you like family.

This is a great gym. I don't really work out there, or anywhere (seems like a lot of work), but since I pay for the BJJ membership tier they let me sign in for "open gym", and I sit on the couch by the vending machine where I boot up my laptop and admin a Discord server where Turks and Greeks argue with each other. I can't really comment on the WiFi as I don't know if it exists or not since my uncle pays for my unlimited data hotspot, but the air conditioning works well and the water fountains have very refreshing water. Sometimes I'll buy a Bang from the vending machine and I'll just loiter on the deadlift platform while I'm drinking it, and it seems like if you wanted to you could definitely do some lifts there. I highly recommend this gym.

I'm slightly surprised about the two bad reviews I read on this gym as I've had nothing but an amazing experience here. I moved to Tucson about two years ago, shortly after separating from the Marine Corps. I came to Coach David Really and Team Undisputed as an extreme novice in jiu jitsu, and the coaches in this gym have fostered my athletic development unlike any place I've ever been. Despite a serious chronic injury that affects my thoracic mobility, coach David Reilly molded me into a competitive grappler, and gave me the confidence to compete in the 2016 IBJJF No Gi World Championships where I ended up winning my first world championship at adult heavyweight blue belt. We had another man do this same thing this year after only training with coach Reilly and our stable of brown and black belts for about a year. Aside from the amazing coaching, this gym has great energy. Like many of you reading this, I'm extremely busy with my education and work demands. My only real social outlet is Undisputed. The community in this gyms treats everyone who walks through the door like they're family. Coach David brings in the best instructors from around the country. For example today, we had 14 black belts on the mat, including the legendary Shawn Hammonds and Nicholas Gregoriades. All of this notwithstanding, this gym still has one of the best weight rooms in Tucson. The weightlifting area has that gritty old-school feel that motivates you to do one more rep. If you're even slightly interested in starting to train, come here. You won't regret it.

This gym is awful. The staff is rude and the gym is very dirty and poorly maintained. They have maybe 5 treadmills and usually only one or two even work. Their treadmills are ripped and several machines are duct taped together. Many of their weights also have bolts and skrews for pins which is super dangerous. After we cancelled our membership here they kept billing us for months and would never send us our cancellation receipt. Very poorly ran gym. Truly a let down because the gym has so much potential.

This gym is terrible. I had a friend join in July and in August they found out that he was being transfered by his job 2000 miles away. He spoke with someohisin person and was told the membership would be cancelled he just needed proof of the move. He provided that. It is November and they are still charging him. He as spoken to staff at the gym every week since september and he gets the same story. "No problem we will cancel' and everything is taken care of but its not. They keep trying to take money and they message him. When he calls back his is told that the employee he spoke to was fired and didnt take any noteis and that they have never received documentation of the move although it was provided 3 times...once by me personally after my friend moved. I went in and talked to Mike. I gMikea copy of the required paper work to Mike who said he would give it to owner Dave but now...they dont have anything on record. Dave is always teaching a class when you call or stop in and can never talk but he is the only one who can do a cancellation. This is a shady business. Stay away. There arw other boxing gyms in Tucson. My friend is still trying to get them to stop taking money for something he cant use.

Very disappointed by this gym. when I first began here I was training with the competition team which I was happy about, hence the reason I wanted to move from boxing inc was to improve my fighting skills. Then, As I walk in one day I get told that we can't train as a group any more which I couldn't believe, it broke my team apart. Resulting in squad to move to a different gym and some days I just train at parks with my trainer. It's sucks so much that this gym's top priority is money and business vs skills and the growth of people.

I love this gym! From the people who come here, from the instructors to the front desk team. Everyone is friendly and will treat you as one family. There are gyms all over Tucson but this one is by far the best.

THIS IS A GREAT GYM FOR SERIOUS LIFTERS and people who want to learn martial arts, other than that, check out other gyms.

Pros:

First of, IF YOURE INTO SERIOUS LIFTING and want to workout in an environment that has old school heavy weights, this is the place for you!

Lots of variety of equipment and from what I've seen theirs some meh trainers but some REALLY LEGIT WELL TRAINED third party trainers.

IF YOU WANT TO LEARN MATIAL ARTS the people in those classes seem to really enjoy them self and like it. I can't speak of the quality of the classes because I have no experience in martial arts but they seem fun, people who do it seem happy.

Most staff are friendly.

Little to no wait time to use equipment compared to other gyms which is a huge plus.

CONS:
This place stinks like dirty weights, unshaved genitals and sweat. Every time I'd come home my girlfriend said I had a terrible stench (maybe I just worked out that hard)

It's HOT, I don't think theirs ac in there (good way to save money) and when that mixes with a dirty smell, you get a pretty unpleasant smell and experience (HOWEVER, THEY DO HAVE THE CLEANEST BATHROOMS IVE EVER BEEN IN, but once you walk out the bathroom, it's WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE).

IF YOURE INTO BOXING THIS IS NOT THE GYM FOR YOU, unless you're a flyweight boxer then you're fine. The heaviest bag weighs about 50lb and they have about 10 of those. If you want to practice hitting heavy bags you have a better chance hitting the trees outside.

IF YOUR MAIN PRIORITY IS CARDIO OR USING TREADMILLS go somewhere else, theirs only about 2 treadmills here. Goodluck

IF YOU CARE ABOUT A CLEAN ENVIRONMENT go somewhere else, you better come prepared to workout hard at this gym and smell your effort the next week or month.

OVERALL: I honestly and sincerely believe this is a great gym if you care about lifting weights and having good old school equipment or want to join a martial arts class and belong to a big family. I really enjoyed that part.Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the places was terrible, the smell was terrible. Although my main goal when I joined this gym was to only lift weights I really wish they had heavier punching/hitting bags.In the end I wouldn't bring my family here. If this place was clean I'd easily give it 5 stars, till then... 3.

I absolutely love this gym! I have been to quite a few gyms in Tucson and this one beats them all! The staff knows you on a first name basis and makes you feel beyond welcomed, almost like family!
I found this gym because my daughter was interested in taking boxing lessons. We have attended kickboxing and boxing classes and they are definitely a great workout!
We mostly train with the amateur boxing program and they are amazing! George, Roger and Henry are all experienced well over 30 + years and are dedicated to the sport! My daughter loves this program and looks forward to going everyday!

I called and, when no one answered the phone, left a message asking about scheduling a personal training session while in town visiting family. When I did not hear from anyone, I called back later that evening. I spoke with a nice woman who took my name and number and promised to call back in 10 minutes. That was 5 days ago. It sounds like a nice place. I suggest stopping by in person if you are interested in working out there.

Been training here for nearly 3 years and have loved every second of it. I speak mainly for the jiu jitsu program as I have been training a total of 7 years but in the last 3 I've learned and progressed more than i could've possibly imagined. great team/family environment. no egos. we just train hard and make each other better. David Reilly has put together a world class jiu jitsu program here in Tucson. Come check it out!

One gets more information on how to properly box off the internet. The machines are old, I broke the treadmill when trying to run on it. When we get down on the mats to push up or whatnot, you can see "nasty hairs" on the mats... it was gross! They do work you, and you do lose pounds, but if you are tying to be a boxer, go to a boxing gym. The kickboxing is good, but the Jiu Jitsu is the best.

Hi everyone, like me, I'm sure you Google search a gym before making a decision on where to spend your hard earned money. I can tell you honestly, having been a member of almost every gym in Tucson, I keep coming back to Undisputed. Its not just that it is a great gym, with amazing classes and helpful staff, its the atmosphere. Everyone from members to staff are always willing to help, and they honestly treat you with respect. Undisputed also has classes for children, I would bring the whole family down and take advantage of their " Try a class free " offer. Most gyms just talk the talk and just show you around, Undisputed walks the walk and shows you they know what need to succeed.

Having trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu all over the country for over 5 years, I can say that Undisputed Tucson rivals the top competitive teams in the nation.
David Reilly and every member of the gym make it an extremely welcoming place and I've learned a lot being here. Would recommend to anybody.

This is a great place to train! I am visiting Tucson on business and was invited to partake in both the gi and no gi training - Three hours of awesome rolling! They have an enormous space, easy to find, with a striking area, boxing ring, full gym and of course - MATS! The locker rooms are very clean and equipped with showers. There's a lot of pride in the instruction and the overall presentation. I highly recommend you check this place out for all your fitness and martial arts training!

Undisputed is an amazing gym. Since the first day I signed up I felt like I was a part of Undisputed family. The trainers are all very knowledgeable in different areas including strength training and cardio, boxing, kickboxing, BJJ, and MMA. They are willing to help you in every way possible in order for you to reach your goals. They also have a full weight area for weight training, which is very rare for this type of gym. If you are looking to train MMA, take classes for fun or even a gym to lift weights with a good atmosphere...I highly recommend Undisupted.

Well, I walked into Undisputed Gym a year ago with a lot of doubt and really out of shape weighing over 265 pounds. After meeting with the staff that were very friendly and displayed a very motivational "can do" attitude I decided to join.

After a year of training with Undisputed, I've dropped down to 232 pounds, probably lost more fat weight as I've put on a bit of muscle mass. My cardio has improved greatly as I no longer get winded from simple stuff.

Most of all what Undisputed has given me back my drive. Restored my competitiveness, and my will to fight for my goals. Training with Undisputed is the best choice I made and I am confident that this year I'll do even better and reach my desired weight and body condition. As for learning the techniques they offer.... it never gets old and I always go home at the end of the night feeling like I conquered the world.

I was very excited to join the gym at first, but my opinion changed quickly. I was looking forward to training MMA and also doing strength and cardio in the same place, instead of going to LA Fitness and occasionally going to Las Vegas or Phoenix to train MMA. Recently, I saw that during a GI JiuJitsu class, someone got a stripe on their first day. I have been doing this sport for nearly three years, placed in various grappling tournaments across the country, and yet I am still a white belt without a stripe. It was so frustrating seeing this because I have poured my heart and soul into this sport, yet every gym in Tucson holds me back. However, the fitness here is waaay better than going to LA fitness or Platinum Fitness. I never have to wait to use a certain machine, and there isn't too many people in the gym...which I kinda like. With all due respect, I want my membership to end so that I can go to Glendale and train MMA full time at the MMA LAB, which I have heard nothing but good things about. This gym just isn't for me.

I've been to many gyms and have achieved the best success at undisputed. They've got all the equipment and trainers and classes to get you fit and achieve the results that you want. I can really focus on working out here cause there's no hype or distractions, just friendly supportive people and it doesn't have that BS corporate sell out fake feel too it. I am able to focus on the tasks at hand and attain success by meeting goals and sticking to routines and never quitting.
