Very little communication with parents, at the lower levels at least. And then my daughter came out of her class crying, saying her foot hurt but the instructor made her keep finishing the exercises anyway . X-ray showed that she had a broken toe. No calls or emails to check on her. I get that they’re in business to make money, but as long as the payments were coming out, they didn’t ask about her.

My son has been coming here twice a week for the past several months for their TNT class. He recently expressed that he wanted to quit bc he has a hard time focusing in class (group settings). My son has high functioning autism and ADHD. I called the front desk and spoke to Sherry to see if we could drop his classes and do private lessons instead. She stated that we would still need to keep a class and I would need to speak to the coach myself to see if they would even be able to facilitate this request. She never once asked who the student was and I would think by being a gym owner you would want to keep the business. The proper way to handle this would be for her to inquire with her employee herself to see if they could facilitate this. If you're not looking to do Cheer or TNT check out Gold Medal Gymnastics instead. Their staff is way more helpful and the vibes there are definitely more pleasant. They unfortunately do not offer a trampoline class so Se La Vie.

5 Year old went to the spring break camp hosted by center and during pick up child had a black eye with no incident report filed or explanation upon pick up. No ice pack given, no monitoring of situation. After contacting gym, management called to apologize. Parent should be immediately contacted in such scenarios with young children.

So I feel like this should be known to any parents looking to USA for their athlete. My athlete spent 9 years at this facility moving from prep teams to a worlds team. She devoted her life to this gym, rarely missing a single practice. She has had several different coaches during her time, some were great, some not so much.
She made the difficult decision this year to leave the gym and venture out to try advance her skills as the last year was horrible. Those in charge of this gym make decisions that they believe will make THEM look better, rather than what the coaches or athletes desire or want.
We left the gym on good terms, with proper notice and left many friends behind. My athlete still wanted to support friends and went to an open gym night. The owner, director and several of her former coaches were present and refused to even acknowledge her presence , but rather gave her dirty looks from across mat.
On top of all that, the owner decided to pull my wife aside and tell her that my daughter was allowed to stay but she needed to leave if she was going to "disrespect" the gym via a social media post. This so called post she was speaking of made no mention of the gym, coaches or owner but rather stated my athlete lost the desire to cheer because of last season. Again my wife spent just as many nights in the gym as my athlete and even assisted as a team mom. But apparently that goes out the window if you athlete wants to better themselves.
I have personally heard the director and coaches slander other athletes and treat them with disrespect. They allowed adult athletes to bully juvenile athletes and allowed some EXTREMELY inappropriate adult behaviors happen that they refused to address.
This gym only cares about themselves and could care less about their athletes. They're many other gyms now that I would consider before wasting your money at USA.
Sincerely, Macie!!!

WARNING!!!- DO NOT have a party here...the employees are completely uninterested in being friendly and DO NOT have it in the summer because they will NOT turn on the air for you no matter what kind of money you pay to be there. There are NO elevators so it is NOT ADA compliant at all. They have the 'party' rooms upstairs where it is NO COOLER and very hard for elderly people or people that can not climb stairs. The employees have NO INTEREST in being 'party hosts' and talked about how they couldn't wait to get out of there. No interaction with the kids while they had free play before the bday party but to just sit there and tell the kofs what they COULDN'T DO. please east siders....save your money and go to amazing jakes!! Or something that would be funnier for kids. I mat not be from this area but know what a FUN place DOES have....AIR CONDITIONING IN THE SUMMER AND FRIENDLY EMPLOYEES!! GOOD LUCK N HOPE U TAKE HEED!

This is a great place to learn gymnastics! I definitely recommend your child going here! They learn fast. I just wish that the classes were a little bit smaller so that they can teach each child individually more. Overall, this is a great place with a great atmosphere! Try this place out and give it a chance.

This is literally the worst place you can send your young child. The coaches are not qualified to coach young girls. They are rude, mean, and disrespectful to the young athletes. Not to mention they’re just not good coaches. The Twinkle team is a disaster. Poor leadership denies common well known issues and acts like you’re the only person who feels this way but when you speak to other parents they’re all upset. I think they strategically front load the VERY expensive fees and dues in the first few months of joining a team because so many people quit midway through the season. This place is a rip off

I would not recommend this gym. The coaches do not understand the balance between encouragement and feedback on opportunities for improvement. When you raise your concerns, you will be completely dismissed. Coaches do not use appropriate coaching techniques, and they speak poorly to the kids and about them. I was told by the director that sometimes the coaches say "funny" things. Those "funny" things are wildly hurtful and demeaning to kids. Do better, USA, and take some accountability for the actions of your staff. I'm clearly not the only one with this experience.

Really disappointed in the way the coaches spoke to and treated my daughter during her time at camp. We will not be back. My kiddo wore her phone watch to keep in touch while her dad and I were working. She can't play games on this watch, it's strictly for keeping in contact. My daughter reported that a coach told her to take off her watch and put it away when she was responding to my text to see if she was OK after she let me know kids were being mean to her there. After my daughter put the watch away, she said another coach kept GLARING at her afterwards, and it made her uncomfortable. My daughter asked this coach if she could please stop staring at her when the coach replied "Don't you tell me what to do." Then, without knowing the circumstances, my husband texted her to say he was on his way and my daughter went to respond on her watch phone. She was then YELLED at by the coach, brought to another room where the coach loudly told others what was going on to make a point. My daughter was absolutely humiliated. She doesn't go here often and she doesn't know these young women at all. Can you imagine? There are many other ways this could've been handled, maybe even a phone call to me, the parent, before this escalation. My daughter was sobbing when my husband picked her up. They could care less about how my daughter was treated. Like I said, we'll never go back.

The issue with this gym is their cheer program and lack of accountability for their coaches. Coaches single out kids, lie to parents and will not listen to a parent when feedback is provided. The cheer director is useless and will not help when issues arise. If you want you child in a quality program where you can ensure you’re able to
Speak to leaders and be respected, I highly recommend you look to for another place.

Absolutely amazing! My son started at the very bottom and through amazing coaches and a great structure, he has moved up to team. The staff uses safe practices and helps the kids get to where they need to go to. Shout out to Cory and Andrew for being AMAZING coaches!! Highly recommend them. Shout out to Kevin who I understand to be the manager. He went above and beyond helping my family as we moved out of state and had to transition to a new gym. Highly, highly, highly recommend USA Youth Fitness.

We’ve been coming for years with my daughter (6 years old) and more recently with my son (4 years old). We definitely had better experiences with my daughters coaches and availability for class times.
However in the 1 year my son has been here he has had at least 10 different coaches. My son is very shy and doesn’t do well with new people, as most kids at this age do. Switching classes was hard already but since he moved up a level he has had a new coach almost every week. The gym is extremely crowded in the evenings with all ages/levels sharing all equipment. The class times for his level are very limited and mostly during the busiest times.
They also don’t offer make up classes you get a “free open gym coupon” if you don’t make it to class. During open gym all ages are running around doing whatever they want with minimal supervision. I can go to a trampoline park for that. I’m paying for gymnastic lessons.
We decided it wasn’t a good fit anymore so we put in our notice. But they still charged my son an annual fee even though he will only be here for 1 month! When I asked to get a refund they said “no, but if you decide to come back you won’t have to pay.” I’m sorry but “if you come back” is very poor customer service. I totally understand what the annual fee is for and am happy to pay it if I’m going to be here more than 1 month.

They charge $20 / mo more than posted online if you do auto pay.
The class is very large and children get very little to no support when attempting new Tumbling skills.
Example: my 6 year old has been attending for 3 months now. I stand and watch every week and 90% of the time the 'coaches' socialize with each other and the other 10% they Assist the kids who are at the top of the class, not the kids who need the support.
It's very disappointing watching such a huge gym take money and not support the kids who truly need it.
I have voiced my issues and would like to see an improvement or plan to switch gyms for Tumbling.

Don't get me wrong this place is great for kids, my daughter love it. The problem that I have is for $96 a month we expect this place to be open for a month. I registered my daughter about 2 months ago for Saturdays classes. This was annopportunity for my daughter to stay busy during the summer. Guess what the gym has been closed for the week end 3 times already. So basically I'm paying $96 for 2 and the half classes a month
Little bit disapointing.

My oldest (now 13 yrs old - level 9) has been attending USA since he was 20 months old. After 12 years of great coaches and recreational and competitive gymnastics, I can say that this is the best boys gymnastics program in Arizona. My younger kids also attend recreational classes, and those are made to be fun and teach basic skills till they are ready to compete. Overall, the boys coaches are fantastic, and couldn't ask for a better boys program.

My granddaughter had injured her toe on a ragged metal door threshold. She wasn’t the first child to injure herself on this same defect. Their response was to throw gauze on it and sent her home. They have an obligation to provide a safe facility for the children in their care. She was in considerable pain, but we prevented infection by managing the wound. The instructors have a revolving door. My granddaughter moved to a different studio and what a difference in her skills! It’s been a year and leaving was the best thing to happen!

Don't choose this place if you are not dedicated to gymnastics. They will still charge you and require a 30-day notice to withdraw your child from any classes regardless if they go or not. Funny how you can quit a job with 2 weeks notice, but a place like this needs 30 days. My son's TNT instructor initially was fantastic. But not less than 1 month in, they decided to bring in a new coach that wasn't near the caliber of the previous. I supposed I should have put in my own clause that said if you change my kid's instructor that I have the right to drop without 30 day notice.....anyway, I spent money watching my son gain nothing other than a stern talking to for not listening during stretches with his new instructor....he's 7. We are very happy to move him from this center to a much better organized activity.
My daughter attended the preschool class. That class wasn't bad, but again, my child is 3. She doesn't want to be there anymore because the instructor didn't notice or wish to stop the fighting with the one boy in her class, but now I have to pay for a month of tuition just because the gym says they need to "keep things running smoothly" as per their agreement. So, with the annual membership fee as well ($40 per kid and absolutely non-refundable), needless to say it is nothing but a place to dump your money and not get much in return for your kids. We will NOT be back.

I want to highlight my recent negative experiences with USA Dance Company, which operates at 1530 S Gilbert Road in Gilbert, Arizona. I had been associated with the dance company for two years, and before now had long suffered a lack of transparency in billing, a bothersome demonstrated lack of organization concerning the scheduling of events and practices, and inconsistency in instruction due to several instructor resignations during my daughter’s two year enrollment at USA. Things began to look up this August when a new, highly motivated instructor/assistant director came on board; the parents and students immediately felt her positive impact on instruction with hopes for organization to the chaos. Our children were learning new things and looked forward to each practice. This all changed at the end of August when this same instructor quit suddenly. Our experience with her has brought into focus our dissatisfaction with USA Dance Company.
A group of us decided to explore other dance companies in the area. At each one (six in total), I saw greater transparency with billing and costs for supplies in 20 minutes than I ever saw at USA Dance Company. At USA Dance Company, I paid for a uniform in August ($350), I paid monthly tuition of $210, I paid a $300 team fee in June, I paid $420 in “fees” in September for future competitions, costumes and choreography, and I paid a special fee of $140 for trio choreography. A few of examples of a lack of transparency include the discrepancy between the Internet-listed team fee of $250 and the actual $300 team fee that we paid, this $300 ‘team fee’ was unexplained (the other dance companies we toured either had a minimal fee or a larger fee which was later applied to competitions), parents paying different fees for the same dance hours (I paid $210, but there others paying $140 for the same instruction), as well as getting charged for a backpack that was supposedly optional (and we opted out).
Since the aforementioned instructor quit, trio choreography practices were cancelled for September 9-14. General classes were cancelled or rearranged due to not enough instructors being available, never mind the fact that many of us had already arranged our lives and work schedules to meet the previously published class schedules. This pushed me, and others, over the edge and we severed our relationship with USA Dance Company. They have a “no refund” policy, so no matter that instruction was not available as originally arranged, no matter that the choreography we had contracted for was no longer available from the instructor we had been so impressed with, and no matter that the year’s upcoming competitions and recitals have not been held; our money is in the possession of USA Dance Company and will not be refunded.
I, along with others, did seek compensation for the uniform that we purchased. We reasonably wanted either a full refund of the uniform fee or the physical uniform that we had paid for. We have been given no indication that we will receive either. One parent was allegedly told by Tina Taylor-Schmidt, Director of Dance, that USA Dance Company would not be issuing a refund or items for the uniform fee nor for the costumes. I tried to verify with Marchel, billing administrator, via email on September 29 and again on October 3, but I have received no response.
This stonewalling is not only annoying and unprofessional; it seems illegal. We paid for a physical product, the dance company received/will receive the physical product, and that physical product should, at the very least, be provided to those of us who paid for it. I will continue to pursue this matter, but in the meantime I felt it my duty to warn others of this business’s shady operating practices. Once we made our intentions known (to seek out membership with a new dance company), the relationship with USA Dance Company turned sour. This is not the professional demeanor one should expect from a legitimate business venture.

We pay $130 a month for two of my children to go and do gymnastics and dance. At open gym they want to charge us $20 for a 9 month old and a two-year-old to go and play with my two children when we have a free admittance. What am I paying $130 a month for? And rather take my kids to the park and play for free and get some ice cream then take them to open gym. Terrible service. If I could put half a star I would.

This place is awful. Their policies are rediculous. They are unhelpful. The coaches are checked out most of the time. The bathroom are an atrocity. The desk staff is rude and generally incompetent. When you attempt to address an issue they let you know how little they can help. When it’s time to cancel you can’t cancel in person or in the phone you need to spend 30 minutes signing up online, when you never have before, and then it takes 30 days to cancel. Horrible. Horrible organization.

My kids have been taking gymnastics at USA Youth Fitness for a few years now, and they have consistently progressed. There are plenty of class time options for every skill level, girls or boys, and they also do dance and martial arts. They also do parents-night-out and kids-day/night-out events so moms and dads can get a date night in each month.

My niece And daughter did cheer and gymnastics here. And they both enjoyed it very much! When my daughter broke her arm, she had to take a break from her cheer and gymnastics, but when she went back, they made sure that she was comfortable with everything before she did something. Same thing when my niece tore her legiments in her ankle. We love the staff so much! They treat us like family and make sure they're all treated equally, and everybody gets the help they need! I came on March 4, 2017 to inquire for the first time. The lady at the front and the dance center was extremely rude so unfortunately I never pursued anything, walked out and we'll go to another place. I own several business myself and one is located right around the corner from this place thats why we went. We pride ourselves on customer service, that is the key to any successful business! If you have unhappy employees who don't enjoy their job, burned out then they need to go and do what their passion is because if they stay they will be miserable and they will ruin your business . I know first hand because I own a business to where we see over 1500 customers a month and I have learned my lesson many moons ago. Sad thing is, it's probably a good place but how you're treated is important to everyone.
Thank you so much and have a great day!

My daughter is a gymnast from USA youth fitness center. To be honest, after level 3, it is extremely hard to move up. You have to have every skill on there perfected just to move up. The coaches for the lower levels are jokes, one coach has never even been on a beam. Also, it is always too crowded, sometimes your child doesn"t even get to go on the level appropriate beam. I just put in my 30 days.

My daughter has been here since March and she still can't even do a cartwheel. I'm not sure what the issue is. Is she not being challenged enough? Is she not understanding instruction? I don't know. This place is way too busy for my liking too. You better get there 30 minutes early if you want to sit down or else you'll be standing the whole hour. And don't be surprised if you sweat your butt off there. Never feels like the air is on. Probably because everyone is packed in like sardines. Also, don't bother with the Wi-Fi, never works. Needless to say, we put in our 30 day notice. Would not recommend

USA is ok for smaller kids, but if you want your kid to be amazing at gymnastic or excel at gymnastic then take them somewhere else. The coaches are a joke, they do not challenge your child, push them or try to make them better. They drag our the leveling programs for years. My daughter was on the TNT team for 3 years and was good enough to make it to lvl 4 but it was always one thing she messed up on each of the evaluations. which is OK with me if she messed up and she needs to fix it, but the coaches should help her work on the things she needs to improve and not just say you'll get it next time. This gym is all about getting the most out of your pocket. one daughter still goes here for the dance classes but it won't be long before we pull her as well.
