Update: The equipment makes for a great place to set your belongings while you socialize, at least that seems to be what most people think the equipment is for. The best part is you don't need to bother wiping down the equipment when you're done with it because no one else does either.

If you're the kind of person that thinks everyone should listen to your music on your cheap Bluetooth speaker this place is for you. If you're considerate of others and like listening to your own music via earbuds you'll want to look elsewhere.

The faucets don’t work in the men’s locker room. The cinema is down takes forever for them to fix things not very helpful. The women are great women seem not capable not my greatest experience disappointed hopefully we can fix things and I’ll give them a better review as of right now, they’re not beating anyone.

Logan is the most disrespectful power tripping manager you all have ever had. Some old lady lied about what I was doing. I had five witnesses able to back me up. He threatened to kick them out after they told their story which didn’t match that old lady’s story.
After looking at the cameras, you will notice I did nothing wrong and the lady was just mad because I was on the machine she wanted so she lied about me to the front desk to get me kicked out

Have gone here regularly and it's fine, it's a gym and serves it's purpose. I won't be going here moving forward. My sister-in-law was harassed by a member here. After trying to take care of it herself it escalated to the point she was being followed and felt fearful enough to complain to the staff and file a police report. It's October and nothing has been done. She's called to see what the status is as she has seen him watching her at the gym and clocking her car before she goes in. They ask her to relive her trauma every time as though they've documented none of it. She's talked with staff, managers, and someone who claims to be the owner and after 4 months nothing has been done. Not only that, when walking in to work out one morning, a manager (the one she originally filed the complaint to) pulled her aside to let her know that a complaint had been filled against her with no other details. Deplorable victim shaking. If you're a woman or you have daughters do not go here.

It was my first time coming to this gym. I paid for a day pas. I'm a truck driver that parked behind the gym. This is a very nice, clean, comfortable gym. The staff is very nice. The pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, and locker room was very clean. I will definitely come back and refer my friends.

Just joined and loving it. The place is pretty dang clean for how big it is. We had a really bad experience asking questions at another location, Tyler from Thunderbird is who got our business. He knew the answer to every question, spent time going over everything, and was very enthusiastic. Tyler should train all folks in sales!

Think before signing up for personal training because you can’t cancel it with the contract. You can only pause for three months and pay $15 then
you will resume thereafter. The cancellation policy was not clearly explained. When I tried to cancel I was being told “You can only cancel if you are moving or you can sell your contract.” Good gym Only thing is you can’t back out, so read the contract don’t just sign up because you are in just in the moment.

My experience here, the one time I did go, was good. I signed up with them through my health insurance, in the One Pass Program. Girls at the front were nice. Tour of the facilities was good. And took a peek at the Daycare Area. I took a Yoga Class with a sweet instructor. I like that they have an indoor pool, which seems underutilized, and a basketball court. While the Yoga Class was good, I was right under a fan/AC, which made it very cold for me, and the glass around the room was see through and the rear of the class faced "The Yard" where there is some heavy lifting going on. There is a movie theatre cardio room, but the projector was down. There are cubbies for your belongings, but no towel service is offered. The parking was pretty busy, but I'm sure if you go in the off times that you can find a spot, no problem ;)

This gym used to be fine. It’s clean and open late, and near my home but honestly so are most gyms nowadays. It’s busy. Their machines are broken half the time for months at a time, never getting fixed. Same with their massage chairs. The worst is their new fitness instructors. I’m fine with gym music, I generally put in my headphones and tune it out. But when they keep their doors open, and blast their shitty music so loud the entire damn gym shakes I’ve had enough. I tried talking to staff, and emailing corporate. It’s as easy as closing the door, but me and 2 of my friends are all about to cancel our memberships over it. Between that and them not turning up the fan past speed 1 even in the dead of summer we can’t even workout in peace anymore.

I've been going here for months now. This has to be by far my most favorite gym.

It's better in my opinion compared to the competition.

I go in the mornings, and it is never busy.

The afternoon and evenings are different story.

This is by far the cleanest gym I've been to. All of the staff are good at remembering faces. They are very polite and professional. They frequently walk around and check the facility for any discrepancies that may have occurred.

The showers are clean for being public gym showers.

Restrooms are always clean when im there.

The pool appears to be in good working order.

Steam and sweat lodge are clean and well kept.

All the equipment is clean, and you have a very good diverse set of equipment throughout the gym. As well to me it is very organized.

The layout of the facility is pretty cool. Like you have your runner cardio section that is massive.

Very neat cross fit area with synthetic grass.

Machines in the middle.

The movie theater for cardio is fun.

Dumb bells, barbells, and power racks are in the back. And that's a good size area over there.

I don't have the cool membership, but I think I say tanning and group classes on like Zumba or something. They have their own classes on both sides of the gym. As well in the back a cycle room.

The basketball court has members in there all the time. All appear to be having fun. I've never seen a fights or issues in there compared to the other gyms in the valley.

If you're looking to get away from the other chain gyms. This might be a good option for you.

This is a very average gym, posing as something fancy.
The gym is large and has a good variety of equipment, but with so many people around, it's not always easy to get to the machine that you need. A lot of equipment is also very frequently damaged or broken. Things don't get fixed quickly around here either.
People spend 5 minutes on their phones between reps.
Most employees working here are purely ornamental. If you walk up to them with a question or a comment about something, most you'll hear is that they don't know and they'll consult management.
I never see anyone cleaning. The amount of dust/dirt on the cardio machines is insane. The wipes dispensers are often empty too. The soap in the showers is always empty.
The cancelation policy is not transparent and convoluted. Make sure to fully familiarize yourself, before signing up.
Overall, the cons outweigh the pros here. Very disappointing.

Wow.. just wow. If you're feeling overwhelmed or need to reconnect with yourself, run to Augustina’s class in Wednesday nights. Her intentionality and calming presence created such a powerful space for inner healing and grounding. I didn’t realize how much I needed that release until I walked out feeling lighter, centered, and completely at peace. Absolutely incredible experience.

Update: they have since fixed the cinema room… added a star back because it really is fantastic and makes my gym experience better.

Signed up with VASA because of the cinema room. We pay a membership to have access to equipment that works and maintained. It's been 2 months not working. Might be a good idea to have a floater projector or a temporary lower quality one if parts take so long to arrive. There was also never any information posted to even say it was broken.

The gym is fine, the payment menthod and cancellation process is horrifying. I cancelled my membership fully aware of the 30 days notice. However after saying it was cancelled they continued to charge me and now expect me to pay the annual fee on top of months of unpaid payments due to them despite my cancellation, not having attending their gym in months and removing my card off of file. I’ve heard of try is happening a lot and it’s honestly digesting, I will not be attending any vasa’s in the future. Make sure to screenshot your cancellation as proof as this happened to my wife as well, it’s crooked and frankly gross.

Honestly the worst gym I’ve ever worked with. The facility is nice but it’s one thing after another.

Stupidly signed up for a “6 month commitment” to personal training services. Shortly after was diagnosed with a large tumor in my peripheral nerve tumor on my brain and had to cease strenuous workouts. Paid quite sometime for the $15 per month freeze while I tried to get my health situated as there is no medical accommodation. Then the freeze came undone, I am now in a very unexpected, high risk pregnancy due to my previous medical issues. Tried to buyout the remaining contract for the personal training services as I cannot use them, live 35 mins away from the closest location and don’t want to pay the monthly membership fee. Nope they don’t allow buyout (to basically receive free money). Cancelled the gym membership- $25.00 cancellation plus additional $25.00 to cancel the kids care membership. But still have to pay biweekly for training that cannot be utilized vs being able to pay up front and wipe my hands clean of this horrible, stressful situation. They offer a buyout for $100.00 but no one I know wants to do business with them after my experience nor would I ever put someone I know through this. Literally wish I never stepped foot in this place and all of my friends have since cancelled their memberships. Lesson learned but honestly taught me the hard way.

Be aware when signing up for a subscription as they do not explain the cancellation policy properly. As well, they make you sign for a waiver, that waiver is for them to change the rules without notice, such rules include things like: before when a member wanted to downgrade the plan did not have to pay any fee, now if you want to downgrade the plan there is a fee for it. I asked all cancellation and downgrade policies and I was just told if you cancel before 6 months then you need to pay a fee. But now it is different and I did not even got an email. It is understandable that businesses need to change and adjust here and there but it would be nice that they keep their word to the members that were already part of the gym.

I'm a clean freak. I always see members and staff cleaning here and wiping equipment. Staff is friendly and courteous. Helpful if there is ever a problem, and machinery is quickly fixed if there is ever a problem. Highly recommend.

Oh, Hailey, how you need a lesson in creative problem solving and customer service, dear. I visited today at 4:40 pm with a guest, as I pay extra to bring someone. Typically, the guest pass requested on the app never goes through, which it didn't, despite trying my guest's, as well as my, email address, and the front desk clerk will just have my guest complete the registration and waiver on a tablet. That did not happen with Hailey today. There is clearly an IT glitch on VASA's app, as this has always been an issue. She would not help me & directed me to call customer service. I asked to cancel the option to bring a guest in, she advised me to call customer service. She did not provide the phone number, she did not ask a manager to help, nor did she have the intelligence, nor motivation to help the customers standing in front of her. She could've called for me or found a solution. I asked her why I had to call if I was standing in front of a customer service person, and she said I still had to call customer service and that there is nothing she can do and that it's a "liability". I asked to have my guest sign the waiver on the tablet, so what "liability" she's referring to, I'm not sure of. I asked for a one time work around, being I'm a long time customer, again, she would not even try to help or think of solutions. She could've easily had the guest pass sent to the location's email address, to her own phone, tried to send the pass to my guest, for good measure, or asked a higher up for help, but she was too lazy and unintelligent to do so. I will be cancelling my membership, as Vasa has clearly gone downhill and it shows. The turn over is awful at this location, the locker room is always dirty, and the pointless "customer service" kids stand there on their phones doing nothing, not even scanning people in, they don't make eye contact nor make the place welcoming at all. Isn't it their job to help customers when they need help? What are they being paid for, exactly? Can someone remind me? I was not asking for special treatment, I was asking for a solution to a problem that wasn't my fault. I'm happy to be joining the new, better, cheaper EOS down the road, however!

The last couple times I've been in, I haven't gotten so much as a hello or goodbye from the staff. All too busy talking to each other. The women's locker room was trashed like it hadn't been touched in hours, despite being a very slow part of the day and seeing no less than 6 employees in the lobby.

I first joined VASA about 5 years ago and needless to say, I enjoyed my experience as a member at the time (despite that I was disappointed about cancelling my membership then due to the gyms shutting down as a result of the pandemic).

Now having rejoined VASA, I will say that my experience here has continued to be pleasant and has exceeded my expectations! One of the things I love most about coming here and this location is the expansiveness of the facilities and ALL of their amenities are amazing! The staff are usually friendly and pleasant when i check in, and the locker rooms are very nice and well-maintained. I love the extensive range of cardio and weight machines (perfect for beginners and advanced training), especially the fitness cinema! I highly recommend investing in the fitness membership tier because you get access to the dry sauna and steam rooms, the hydro massage chairs (which are so relaxing) and the tanning beds! I can’t wait to try some of their group classes in the near future as well.

Compared to other local gyms in the area, VASA does an outstanding job ensuring that everyone has a high-quality experience in the gym, and it’s a great place to start regardless of your fitness level! Highly recommend this location ❤️

The staff at VASA kids care is amazing. Hailey is friendly, always getting to know the parents and children making us feel safe. Staff at this gym are very helpful and welcoming. Cade M. was especially helpful. I am visually impaired and he gave me a tour of the whole gym, explaining all of the options and services quite thoroughly. I’d like to give a shoutout to Vasa Fitness employee, Cade M., at 43rd Ave & Thunderbird. He provided a thorough tour & offered to help with all aspects of signing me up with my Medicare supplement as I am technologically challenged. I had 94 gyms within 10 miles of my home to choose from. I really liked the privacy of the Cinema room as it makes the gym feel a bit smaller & more welcoming and Cade & his helpfulness were the deciding factor to join Vasa Fitness. Thank you, Cade!

It’s a good gym. The staff fluctuates a lot, so whether or not you get a nice person at the front desk is questionable. They have all of the amenities steam room/sauna massage chairs. I wish they had later hours especially on weekends. I also wish they had a track. I did utilize their personal training for some time, and lost about 8 pounds. I went to their mixxedfit classes which were fun. Beyond the January crowd, you still have to wait for weights and machines. I would say it is decent in cleanliness. Sometimes the paper towels fill up. If you’re a girl, good luck trying to play basketball or even getting the ball passed to you if they let you play. People express their political opinions freely whether that be with clothing or overheard conversations. I’ve heard some wild things. There is a man that comes in with a mask and sunglasses and crocs who has no problem saying the f slur, and that those folks belong in the kitchen. I happened to be wearing a tie-dye shirt that day, so could not tell you whether or not that was directed towards me even though I am not a part of the LGBTQ+ community. There are however people from all sorts of backgrounds that go there. You will see people from all walks of life. I like the fitness cinema. Lots of movies to discover that I otherwise would not have watched. Not many people record in there whether they be influencers or not, I personally only recorded for form evaluation not social media. The cancellation process is fairly simple, and done on the app. You just have to do it 30 days in advance, and will have to pay for that period. Only leaving due to a 24 hour gym being built with more amenities closer to me.

But if there is a problem with billing, local staff cannot assist. You have to work online with support team. They only communicate via computer (not phone), and are not customer oriented.

I've been coming to this gym for years and have no problems with it BUT in the process of trying to get my brother into the gym and showing him it's not as nerve wracking as he makes it out to be I bought a day pass for him just for a employee (eric) to start pressing us to get a membership cause and I quote "get a membership or he's gonna be small forever". That is an unneeded comment nor professional and does nothing but make it harder for people to be comfortable with an already scary situation. The gym should be a safe space for people to come in and achieve there goals, not everyone has the same goals rather it's getting bigger, stronger, faster, overall health ect. But it starts with getting into the gym but people can't do that if they hear comments that make them uncomfortable.

As someone who has been an Executive Director at a gym and involved in the fitness and youth program movement for 12 years, I can confidently say that VASA Fitness off 43rd and Thunderbird is amazing! I’m a Studio Red member, and I regularly take the Studio Red classes and have also done personal training.

From the moment you walk in, the staff greets you with a warm welcome and a smile. The coaches are all fantastic, but my personal favorites are Jake, Carlos, and Nikki—they are kind, knowledgeable, and truly invested in my fitness journey. As a gay woman, both my fiancé and I feel incredibly safe, welcomed, and cared for. More importantly, the coaches take the time to understand our personal health goals and know exactly how to challenge us appropriately.

Beyond the classes, I also play basketball here and have felt nothing but welcome by the regular players. My partner absolutely loves the yoga classes as well.

No matter what time of day I visit, I see a beautifully diverse community of people—of all ages, races, and genders—coming together with the common goal of bettering themselves. The environment is friendly, inclusive, and supportive. Even those who prefer to keep to themselves do so in a respectful way.

Good facility, but when equipment is broken it takes way too long to get it addressed. Like the fountain water bottle dispenser on both sides of the gym have been broken for over three months… Also, at night, lately the disinfectant wipes have been empty towards the middle of the smith machine area, and the dispensers by the basketball court. Pretty gross watching people move from machine to machine without wiping it down…

I pretty disappointed with this gym. It is clean with mostly nice equipment. However, they have two smith machines, one has been broken for almost 3 weeks. None of their water fill stations work. I brought these issues up to them and they were never addressed. I will probably go elsewhere.

I would highly recommend becoming a member of VASA. It has a friendly and professional atmosphere and the staff very much cares about your health and success. I do Studio Red and Yoga mostly when I workout but occasionally like coming in to watch a movie in the theater room while walking on the treadmill. The facility is also very clean.

Love this gym! Started my journey with spin classes with Brianna and she is absolutely amazing. Very motivating and helped me start my fitness journey. You walk in and you would think this is an upscale gym. However, I quickly learned this place is GHETTO. I joined after being a member a planet fitness due to the pool and Theater Room. But the members are having loud conversations on their phones for the hour I am spending on the treadmill in the Theater room at that. So they are yelling over the movie. It's not a very comfortable environment. I come to get my workout in not listen to your personal conversation. I called to speak to Jackie the manager who told me there are no phone policies and if there is nothing else she needs to go. I listened to someone's conversation for 1 hour and she couldn't listen to me vent for 15 minutes. The gym runs the same way management treats people. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I moved and they won't let me cancel my membership without submitting some kind of documentation from USPS. . . but USPS wouldn't let me do a change of address. So they don't care about my lease, driver's license or just about any other legal document but man that USPS change of address I can't get is apparently more important than actual legal documents/IDs.

Highly recommend just going somewhere else.

Update after going around and around with Vasa for weeks. They charged me $207 and then said they wouldn't charge me anything ever again. Fast forward to yesterday and they just charged me again. God I hate these people.

Studio HIIT classes are worth the Studio Membership but that massage chair is worth it even more. Get a massage, get a tan, red light therapy, clean locker rooms. Very open, not too crowded with a lot of different styles of workouts available and plenty of cardio. Definitely recommend.

I give them zero stars. I signed up and was charged the yearly renewal fee of $70 on the first of the second month of signing up. Over the past 3 month I have had 5 withdrawals a month. I called the thunderbird office they told me they couldn’t do anything and hung up in mid conversation. I called back and the phone was answered and hung up. The third time it rang and rang. I was unable to call the 800 number because they are open mon- thur and close at 6. I finally got thru and spoke an agent canceled my memberships and thought that was done!! I was charged $25 to cancel, a week later I was charged $52, I called the 800 #spoke to Berniece who was completely rude, she would not listen talked over me raising her voice to an unpleasant tone and told me I don’t need a manager no one can help me I need to pay the money. Ugh!! I am not one to ever leave a review but this was a terrible experience.

I wont lie, this place is terrifying at first, super open and a lot more people than Plant "fitness". More machines and free weights as well as other amenities like treadmills and pools and basketball courts. Plenty of barbells and dumbbells and the Olympic area for deadlifts is amazing. Locker rooms feel like you are walking into a billionaires bathroom and are super super clean. This gym plays surprisingly good music, I find myself without my ear buds sometimes because of the fact that the music isn't bad.

Good luck cancelling. You have to call their billing department in order to cancel and you’ll be stuck on hold forever. Even if they’ve been charging your account, not only will you not get your money back but you’ll also be forced to pay another month in order to cancel. Apparently it’s in the fine print that of course they won’t tell you about when you sign up. They just want you to sign up so they can suck all your money out of your pockets. The staff was very rude at this location and made fun of me for wanting to cancel my membership. Very unprofessional kids working here.

Well had to change it from 5 stars to 2. After going there for months, I'm ready to switch gyms. Changed the day care hours and days was the main reason i signed up here cause it isnt the closest to me but they had sunday day care and then changed it a month or so after me signing up. They changed how many kids can come at a time and book up quick so i have to schedule it atleast a day before hand, well since i dont live close i cant always get there exactly on time and also have to pack up a 10month old so even if your 5 to ten min late they charge you 3 dollars and dont even tell you. They want a 4 hour notice if your going to cancel or be late.I also got a new card and forgot to update it.. 25 fee every time

Patti leads us in exercises ( to our favorite tunes) focusing on agility, balance, strength, stretching, and relaxation- to name a few. I started working out at Vasa in 2018 and had canceled during the pandemic due to the Kidcare was closed. I returned to Vasa in 2023, and love the friendly staff and Studio Red Classes. I understand recently that the gym is under new management and my concerns regarding the Kidcare program. I attend the gym 6 days a week between Studio Red and Personal Training. Most of the staff there has kids or even has their own kids in the kidcare, they "know how kids are". I was told that the Kidcare is going to start cracking down on kids with MINOR behavioral issues and possibly not allow certain kids back. As a member that pays for all the extra benefits, Studio Membership x2 (my spouse and I), Kidcare for 2 kids, and Personal Training, I'm concerned. #Whereisresse

We have been members since it opened and have always enjoyed the staff and cleanliness of the gym and nice equipment. BUT the Gym has gone down hill in the last couple months , floor is not only dirty but peeling up in places. Equipment is run down , walls are dirty , bathroom is dirty ,TVs are never on anymore , Don’t ever see staff cleaning anymore , employees stand against the wall when you check in don’t acknowledge anyone , to busy scrolling on their phones. Hope it gets turned around , I know a lot of us regulars will be leaving if not .
