This company is predatory. Doesn’t let you cancel easily and charges you to cancel when using app or web. No one answers their customer service line. They just hope you forget and keep this membership. I’ve been charged for over a year and still on hold trying to cancel. Very poor experience

they make it very difficult to cancel memberships. I called many times, went to the useless people at the front desk who are good for nothing, and when I called, they told me I had to cancel through the app. I tried to use the app, but it didn't work. I told them I couldn't attend that gym anymore. Now I have the debt collectors harassing me every week. For a membership that I was not even using. Go to LA Fitness instead.

I rushed over after work to try to get a quick workout in. 11:15pm-ish was when I arrived, thinking I’ll get at least 30/40 minutes to workout. I walked up to the doors and they were locked :,(((. I thought you guys were open til 12am. I’m so disappointed.

Overpacked. Showed up at 11pm. Front desk staff didn’t know how to use the plus one for my membership. She couldn’t get the free membership to activate. I tried paying cash for a day pass for my friend. But they wouldn’t accept cash. 25 mins later walked out because she was determined to make it complicated and time consuming. Thank you for finalizing my decision to cancel this membership.
The one star is because it’s a one star gym.

The facility was cool, but the front desk women was very rude. Borderline mean, very pressing and just a no for me as far as welcoming. Wish I would have got her name to put here. I Probably won’t sign back up ever again I went to get a day because I hadn’t been there in three years, so I thought I tried again and she was just rude about it. I still paid but there is kinder and professional ways to same thing without being a jerk. It also was just me, a couple others were with me and they felt the same.

Nice clean gym. They're relatively quick to replace any broken equipment. It can get extremely crowded in the afternoon/early evening, so keep that in mind. Recently started taking Jessica's yoga class and it's an easy favorite of mine. Her classes are low pressure and have a good atmosphere. She's a great instructor and offers a range of class difficulties so you can find what works for you!

They make it practically impossible to cancel your membership (needed to just for a couple months while I was between jobs and getting back on my feet financially). You have to pay for the "privilege" of not being able to pay. Then, before you know it, you're being sent to a collection agency for just under half a grand?? lmao! Nope. Never again.

I went for the silver class, the class wasn’t bad, prefer the old instructor, this one raises her voice and not in a good way. With that said I used the shower in the gym, big mistake. I now know why it was empty. The handicapped shower is set up really poorly not enough room, stuff got wet, no real water pressure, bit un clean , will not do this again. Want better go to Chuze. Way better

Noveigh & Bridget are both stellar. My wife and I are long time Chuze Fitness “goers”, but we’ll be switching because of the staff here. Chuze has 45 mins - 1 hr waits for kids club as a result of poor staffing.
After this happening a few days in a row we drove to Vasa to see if we had any chance of getting in. We had already done a free trial a year ago so we couldn’t do that again, and kids club there had a drop in fee. We were going to pay for a day pass and the drop in fee but didn’t realize we needed our physical card and couldn’t do Apple Pay, so we said we couldn’t do it this time and left.
Before we left the parking lot Noveigh chased us out and said they were going to let us try the gym again for free, AND have kids club for free that day. Bridget showed us around kids club and explained they didn’t want us to go without letting us give them a try. This is better customer service than we’ve seen at Chuze in years. They’ve won our business, and we are excited to a new gym.
The equipment, locker rooms, and amenities are fantastic and better than Chuze - coming from two gym rats who come 5-6 days a week.
Thanks again Noveigh & Bridget - you guys are both superstars.

I went for 2 days as a trial and it was so crowded at 2 pm and at 7 pm that I kept debating if I should leave. There is a big variety of equipments but long wait times. I was still able to do a complete workout in the two times I went but I just had to go for whatever available equipments.

I had a great first class at Studio Red — Hunter was amazing and really made me excited to be a new member. But, things took a turn when I️ called to clarify something with the front desk staff. I️ called and gave more than 12 hour notice that I would be canceling a class because I was feeling ill. I was told it would be handled and I would not get charged. Today, I noticed a $3 charge. When I called to ask about it (just for clarity), I spoke with an employee named Kenny who very bluntly said, “You didn’t call. We trace everything online.” Not only was I dismissed, but he spoke in a way that was rude and completely lacking in professionalism. The $3 wasn’t the problem — the disrespect was, especially since I approached him with kindness and his disgusting mouth ruined that. I will be canceling my membership and taking my money to World Gym. Kenny should get some extra customer service training ASAP.

I've been going to Vasa for a couple of months now on my days off and I'm surprised to say that I actually really like it. I've never enjoyed going to gyms before. It's big, clean, friendly staff, and a great monthly rate. As a small female I'm wary of unwanted attention from men in gyms and have to say I've only experienced politeness and respect. I only use the stationary bike and the stairmaster and I never have a problem getting a machine. I would prefer if the women's restroom were set off to the side (as the men's is) b/c I don't like walking through the weightlifting area to access it.

I haven’t even signed up yet and already had a terrible experience. I called to ask a simple question about membership, and the representative completely dismissed me. In the middle of my question, he started talking to someone else, then asked me to repeat myself. I said, “never mind, I’ll sign up somewhere else,” and he just said “okay” and hung up. Extremely unprofessional. Would not recommend.
After my call, I decided to read other reviews, and it’s clear I’m not the only one. The company always leaves the same generic response: “We are sorry about your experience, we will bring this to the attention of the management team.” But the same behavior continues, which shows the owner or management doesn’t care. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
I ended up checking out Chuze Fitness instead, and the difference was night and day. They were polite, welcoming, and even offered me a 7-day pass at no charge. Save your time and go somewhere that values potential customers

VASA Fitness is fantastic! The staff is always friendly, helpful, and creates a welcoming atmosphere that makes coming to the gym something I look forward to. The facilities are excellent—clean, modern, and thoughtfully maintained. I love the sauna, pool, and massage chairs for recovery and relaxation.
There’s a wide variety of machines for every muscle group, which makes it easy to keep workouts fresh and effective.
A huge shoutout to Mitch, my personal trainer—his energy, knowledge, and personalized coaching have truly elevated my fitness journey.
And I also want to recognize Deanna, who has always been so kind and welcoming—she consistently goes out of her way to make members feel valued and supported.

I've been a member at Vasa for about 3 months. The facilities are clean and there is an abundance of machines. I've been doing personal training with Mitch Nobis there. Since I started working with him, I've seen more progress in my fitness and muscle growth than I had experienced the previous year. He's been a great trainer, and I couldn't recommend more highly.

I will never go back to this gym anymore. The fees and charges are way crazy than you think . I reopen my account at the second time. They tried to charge the monthly fee from my account but, I don’t have enough money in my checking account. Now they charge me late fee for $25 and the monthly payment $27 month, plus the annual which is $102. When I cancel my account it’s also charged the cancellation fee and the monthly fee as well like $52 together. I haven’t vist this gym since last year. This is crazy. They make money out of you. I will never go back to this gym even though it’s close to my house. Or maybe the cooprate is responsible for this.

The gym is clean and the machines are nice, but by far the best experience I've had has been working with my personal trainer, Mitch. He's very knowledgeable about his craft and is able to make workout adjustments based on what fits my needs best. I started at this gym in April, I can say you can't get the amenities for the same price at any other gym. On top of that my kids are obsessed with Kidcare. The gyms clean and anytime something doesn't work they fix it as quickly as possible. In regards to the classes, im not much of a class girlie but they do seem fun for those who like that kind of workout experience.
One thing I'd like to shine some light on is the Personal Training staff. They are all amazing! I honestly wouldn't have the gains i do without my PT Mitchell Nobis (aka Mitch). He not only works me hard on our days we work together but if he sees me out on the floor he acknowledges me and my hard work. He has become one of my biggest supports outside of my family and friends and I know I wouldn't be at this point in my journey without him.

Kids allowed in facility and not all rules enforced. Frequently in the women's locker room people have phones out taking pictures. Decent facility if you can avoid when it's busy, but it can get packed and areas close for weeks at a time.

It was okay at best. Gym is extremely crowded and full of people just standing around taking selfies and barely wearing any clothes. Also I think it's a little ridiculous that on top of a cancellation fee I also had to pay another $50 fee and my normal membership. This gym might good for the young single crowd but not for your average mom just trying to get in shape.

I need to tell you about the MOST important part of the gym. The amazing, nurturing and hardworking people in the kids care, cuz without them, I couldn't even go to the gym.
My daughter Aurora has been going to the kids care since she was 2 months old. Azaraie has always made me feel so welcomed. No matter what kind of day I'm having, she assures me I'm doing fine, that its ok, which is really important as a mom!
Everyone who works there is so kind and helpful. Azaraie, Bridget and Rosa I consider them family because they take such great care of her while I take care of myself, such a blessing. Emma and Abdi I also have to recognize as exceptional, they truly care and you can tell they enjoy what they do. If I forgot anyone I'm sorry! Everything is super clean, I see them wiping down all the toys and floors daily and my daughter is always so happy when I go to pick her up, she doesn't want to leave!
Sometimes I honestly only go so she can have playtime with the other kids and staff...which is a great motivator to get my butt to the gym.

We spent the month in Tucson to avoid the Colorado winter and joined the Vasa on Grant. The facility and the staff were both excellent. Especially David/Trainer and Emily/coach. Really all the staff we came into contact with were great to deal with for setting up the membership. The GM there is doing a great job of setting the culture. Can't be recommended enough. Thanks to all the staff!

If you wanna go work out while your kid is getting hurt and the staff don't notify you until you're leaving and NOBODY has a matching story as to what happened. Undisciplined staff, stale smell of sweat and corn oil. Don't waste your time here unless you wanna be robbed. No gym is worth $100 a month. Chuze and L.A. FITNESS ARE 1000000 TIMES BETTER! I joined Vasa Fitness 6 months ago and I’ve been very happy with both the facilities and my personal trainer, Cristina Rosales. She is very knowledgeable and designs workouts that are appropriately challenging, varied, and effective.
While I’ve encountered some issues with the VASA app when it comes to accessing and tracking workouts, my overall experience has been great. I’m glad I chose Vasa and highly recommend it!

They wanted to charge me a $25 fee because I didn’t update my expiration date on my payment method. Besides this being a very scummy way to run business, when I signed up, I provided my bank acct info. So, they had more than 1 way of collecting my account dues. They chose to only use my card.
They insist it’s okay to charge $25 over an expiration date. So, I cancelled my account. They informed me they will continue to try and collect. I said they’ll need to sue me. They said it will go to collections. I don’t recall giving them my SSN. So, good luck with that. This is an insane business practice and very anti-consumer. They’d rather have a scummy charge than continue to get $20/ month and their annual $50 fee for who knows how long. Considering I am a bodybuilder, you can bet it would’ve been a long membership.

Very clean gym with a great friendly staff. The gym can be very busy, but it's so big and well equipped I've never had a problem finding a space or equipment I wanted to use. I take advantage of the free senior classes. Cristine is the facilitator and does a wonderful job. She pushes us (in a good way) to be our best fit self. I love coming to this gym. Best experience at a gym so far. I’ve hopped around to about 3 different gyms and none of them have been as clean welcoming as this vasa location. Corinne (coco) gave me a consultation and has been so helpful with different tips. Almost all of the staff is always super friendly. Another shoutout to Gary the maintenance guy who makes sure the machines are well oiled and fixed promptly. Definitely will be very sad when the time comes for me to leave Tucson.

Very amazing gym. The staff are always friendly and out going. Trainers are always available to help. Have had issues before and front desk was quick to fix or provide numbers to call, or the General manager was very friendly and quick to call and fix issues if needed. The revive section is always filled and easy to find the drinks or snacks you need. Gym is clean if things break maintenance tech is always quick at fixing the problem. Just wish they’d open a new gym in Vail, Az for all us that make the drive our towns growing please consider a new gym out there would help in crowd this gym in the afternoons. I have been a member of this gym since they opened in October 2019 and it is definitely my favorite gym. It has very good equipment and a lot of options for cardio, strength training, pool facilities, fitness classes, tanning, one on one personal training etc ETC.

I love this gym! I go nearly everyday and I can always use the equipment I need for my workouts. Only occasionally do I have to wait a few minutes to use any machine. I love the massage chairs and although I haven't used the pool or sauna it looks clean and not too many people there. My boyfriend uses the basketball courts occasionally as I get 2 free passes for a guest with my membership.
My favorite part about the gym is the staff and the classes.
I can go up to any staff member there and they answer or help me with anything I need. I love the kidscare ladies too, they are so clean and sweet to my 13 month old ( she's been going since she was 2 months old) it's like a second family.
Studio Red the HIIT class helps me in my fitness journey and gets me sweating. I feel stronger and healthier since I joined.
Truly a well rounded gym that literally has everything my family needs.

I love this gym ! There is a variety of equipment as well as multiple spaces in which I can use everything. I also love the staff! In particular, one stands out. Every time I come in, Abdi welcomes me in and I am constantly seeing him working. Whether it's cleaning or emptying trash cans , he always seems to be keeping himself busy which is extremely impressive ! He sets a great example! VASA must be proud to have him!

You need to advertise on your website that if you use a free day pass, you have to sign up afterwards. I drove 20 minutes to get here to use my free day pass that was advertised online and the front desk lady asked if I was going to sign up afterwards. How am I gonna know to sign up if I haven’t even experienced the gym yet? She said I would have to purchase a day pass or $15 in order to continue. What terrible customer service!! Who’s training these folks?!?!

I would give half a star if I could. I had to freeze my account due to medical issues. When the 3 month freeze was up, I didn't get a chance to re freeze my account before I was charged. The customer service was 0 help. I will never go back to VASA. I will instead support a locally owned gym, Tucson Strength, that actually cares about their customers. Vasa has been the worst gym experience I have ever had from equipment availability to billing. Would NOT recommend.

Update: I have an active and fit membership and choose to workout at VASA. Recently there was an issue between billing between VASA and active and fit. I spoke with the manager and she sent in a work order immediately. Within an hour I got an email from their tech support and we were able to resolve the issue and update my information accordingly. 5 stars for their diligence and care! You don't get to see great customer support often these days. The team at VASA did a great job from front desk team members, manager and tech support. Thank you all!
High traffic gym but Vasa is a large, so there's always space! Clean facility and sanitation stations are always stocked with Clorox wipes! Variety of exercise equipment to choose from! Classes available! Great gym!

Did a day pass to see what the gym is like and they told me I could only use it if I’m signing up for a membership. Lol isn’t the point of a “trial pass” to try it out to see if I like it? They were rude about it all and I went to LA fitness where everyone was really nice. Shame cause VASA looked nice but the worker’s and their new policy left a bad taste in my mouth.

This gym has been great so far. There are times when it’s not as pleasant to be there, like the crowds around 5pm and the rude behavior and large groups later at night until about 10, but that’s gonna happen at any gym. Once you find the best time to go for your schedule it’s generally fine. I haven’t used any of the personal training services, classes, or changing rooms, so can’t comment on their quality, but the weight training and cardio equipment meets all of my needs.
Entering and exiting the parking lot has been rough with the construction at Grant and Alvernon but it’s not the gym’s fault at all and hopefully it’ll be resolved soon. My only complaints are that it closes early on weekends (10pm on Saturday and 6pm on Sundays), and sometimes the bathroom smells pretty bad. I also dislike how day passes are pretty expensive at $15.

The classes that are offered are great and the instructors have been wonderful. The wheels fall off beyond that. The front desk is frosty at best, the gym vibe is very young and very crowded most of the time. I never feel comfortable working out here despite my membership for over a year and being a gym goer for 20 plus years. The tvs that face the cardio equipment have the True Crime channel and fox news playing around the clock so when your on the treadmill you get crime scenes and bombastic "news" . Ive gone to the front desk and management with a few issues and Im always met with an eye rolling 20 something and a dismissive attitude. Ive finally terminated my memebership with Vasa due to not feeling heard or like a valued member.

First experience was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Called over the phone to ask about getting a day pass to confirm they issue them before I drove 40 minutes there. Gentleman picked up and sounded nice. He told me to come and he'll sign me up for a free 24 hour pass. Sounds good right? Drove 40 minutes there and walked in. Immediately the guy at the desk (Think he said his name was Jaylen) looks like he could care less about his job and starts calling me "bro" off the bat. After asking to sign up for the pass he says "Well bro let me ask you this, are you going to buy a membership tonight after getting the free pass?". Never having been to the gym before or knowing if I'll even like it, I say no. He says "Well bro then I'm not gonna issue you a pass, it's a new policy". I explained I had called over the phone to confirm the pass before driving 40 minutes and he says "Well bro, you weren't speaking to me". He then says that HE IS the manager. Seriously?! This is how you guys conduct business? Lying and disrespecting customers? The last thing he said to me before I left was "Yeahhhh, sorry bro". The funny thing was, I was going to sign up for a membership if I liked it, Now? I recommend NOBODY WASTE THEIR TIME HERE. Employee was working at 11pm on Sep 27 and I hope he is corrected for treating people like that. Gas isn't cheap, and neither is my time.

I did a “1-month free/no signup fee” promo to check this gym out. (Sounds reasonable and risk-free, right?) Went a few times and found it wasn’t for me. The equipment is great, but it’s extremely crowded, so much so that I can’t work out at the fast pace that I want to. Went to cancel after 4 or so visits and they want me to pay for the “free” month plus a cancellation fee. That’s not right. I shouldn’t be surprised though - doing honest business is a thing of the past
Update: I’m just going to go for a month, then cancel. Added one star
ANOTHER UPDATE: I have moved out of state, emailed back and forth with “customer service” about cancellation and they’re STILL autodrafting! Now it’s just stealing. 0 stars
Their owner responded here on Google reviews to make it look like they help resolve things, but they DO NOT. Don’t give them your banking information- they’ll keep withdrawing no matter what.
4 months later: still trying to draft, shamelessly. If you have a LA Fitness in your area, I do HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!

Vasa is the worst! The head trainer, Mike I think tricked me and lied. I told him twice to please stop the hard sell because, and I said it was embarrassing, but I was moving and could not afford a trainer at that time. I told him twice when he had me sign. I thought I was signing for a one-day free thing with a trainer. He apparently signed me up for three months worth of training and they started taking it from my bank account. I told him I couldn’t afford it. They took the money anyway and they won’t let me out of the membership corporate told me to call the police. It’s a civil matter. They wouldn’t let me out of the contract that they tricked me into and then they sent me to collections. Wow VASA way to work with your people the gym was overcrowded , the locker room is terrible and the staff doesn’t know what’s going on. And the head trainer is a liar and a thief. I got lawyers about this.

But this little machine and anyone who is shorter than 5’4” might as well have zero ribs… I’ve been to plenty of gyms and never had a problem with the shortest setting… here, I leave with bruises on my stomach every time. Member here for 4 years. Seeing some of the reviews and want to mention that Vasa is a quality gym, clean, friendly, well maintained.
It's odd that people mention gym customers in their reviews since that shouldn't reflect on the gym itself. Gyms can't control if people on their phones or flexing in mirrors. Part of working out is enjoying the activity and respecting that other's routines are different from your own.
It does get busy here during peak weekday evenings, but so do all gyms and the prices here can't be beat. Equipment and locker rooms are clean and they keep the AC cooler than my other gym La Fitness.
Staff are always welcoming. Erin and Deanna are a joy to see there daily.
As for reviews about billing or communication, I've only ever paid $10/mo and a yearly fee. It's common for all gyms to make people jump through hoops to cancel so I assume I would need to provide a month's written notice to cancel any membership.
Vasa is the best gym in town overall.

It's a nice gym but it can also get EXTREMELY crowded. Weights get mixed around all the time, often I find myself at a squat rack that either has no plates or every single plate. For $10 a month, you can't really complain and if you show up at the right time you can get a workout in without the traffic. Any weekday past 5pm? Might as well do pushups in the parking lot.

Closing at 10:00 on the weekends is a joke. Some of us work late. Everyone else is open later on weekends. There are other gyms that are 24/7 and cost less per month. And the mobile app is the worst! They give you zero transparency or control over your billing. You have to call or email CS to pay your bill. And the employees never walk around to handle the members who always hoard machines to just sit there and text all day.

I have had a great time at the gym itself. But when it came time for me to renew or continue with my personal trainers I had one, the lead known as Mike, reach out to me in order to get some missed sessions matched. That is not too bad, but the unprofessional view of a text is text talk, typing u instead of you. Using emoji when texting. All of that just did not scream the lead or a managerial position. Not only that, but after the first time he added more onto my plate with another trainer when I already have one. For the same day. I brought this to his attention amd he only canceled it for that one week instead of canceling each one he added. As far as the renewal for getting a trainer, I do enjoy mine, but this experience has left a sour taste. His actions have left me with the choice of canceling all together.

So far I love the gym. It’s nice and open and there’s plenty of room. So far the staff are ver friendly. My one complaint is that there’s not enough changing rooms and I wish there were blow dryers. I previously had Chuze and they had a changing room with a blow dryer and mirror in front of each shower.

Terrible company. Currently having a very difficult time getting out of this membership. The company knows that I have moved and am nowhere near another VASA fitness center and they have continuously charged me for services that they know I can not use. Also please be sure to check what you sign on their computer. They do not provide you an agreement in the gym. They will sign you up for auto renewal programs but dont explain that to you. Also, they tell you that they have no cancellation policies after a certain period of time but that is completely wrong. They do have a cancellation policy beyond that threshold - $100. Please spend your money elsewhere. This is the worst gym and company I have every been a part of and I would never recommend this company to anyone, anywhere. If you look at the reviews I leave, I am a pretty honest reviewer and I would never provide a company with a bad review for no reason. Now that I am going through this, I am hearing more stories of this company's deceptive practices. There are so many other great gym facilities. DO NOT spend your money here.
