The two instructors I met were dripping with insincerity, but are the kind of people that think they are deeply authentic. I was immediately turned off by the aggressive sales tactics. Started by telling me to stay after my first and only class to push me into a membership program, received a flurry of emails, and even a mailed pre-printed "handwriten" note from the owner. On the intake paperwork - they ask why you're here and I am so relieved I didn't say my real issues. I just wanted some movement and peace - not a condescending 15-minute preamble lesson about being in the moment and a forced "relatable" story from the instructor with polite laughter from the clients. I've been to yoga classes where instructors guide you and treat you as an equal human. This place is not that. Very cult-y vibes. It's a definite no on this place for me.

This yoga sanctuary gives off a very positive vibe. Not only do they have excellent classes, but they also offer extra classes. I went to a sound bowl class and even an 80s night class. The rooms are big so you don't need to panic about not getting in. Yoga Pura gets an A+ from me.

I regularly attend Sue's classes and Laura's classes online. I've maintained a yoga practice on and off for 20 years. We are all in good hands with these two caring professionals...any adjustments they suggest are only intended to support students-- so clear and appreciated. Blessings to all!

This was the worst experience I've ever had at a yoga studio. Sue was insensitive as a teacher and critical of students during class. She knew I had limitations and felt it was a good idea to ask about why I was not taking certain positions while she had a microphone on. Not only did she disrupt my practice, she also disrespected everyone in class by making extra conversation that was not necessary. Additionally, it was my understanding that you could take what serves you and apply modifications or leave something altogether if it wasn't right for you in moment. That philosophy is not shared by Sue.

Been coming here on and off for maybe 12 years. In that time the studio has been consistent in its teachings and has always remained a place that is peace and relaxing. Highly recommend.

Yoga Pura is such a joyful and peaceful reprieve from the chaos of this world. I love the wide range of classes and ALL the teachers are amazing. It’s such a welcoming and inviting studio that is genuinely community minded. I always feel rejuvenated in both mind and body after taking a class here. There are also sound healing events and so many great work shops happening here.

Yoga Pura is a welcoming and positive place to practice yoga. I am so grateful I have Yoga Pura in my life! The teachers at Yoga Pura are knowledgeable, caring, helpful, and all-around special people. There are many yoga classes offered for anybody interested in practicing yoga, and there are also workshops to experience sound healing, mala making, and other activities to explore yogic philosophy. I would highly recommend Yoga Pura to anybody interested in yoga. Whether you are a novice or a person with yoga experience, Yoga Pura has something for you.

I love this yoga studio! I've been going for a full week. Every day I love it more and more. The instructors are incredible and the students are nice. You will not find egos or stuck up attitude here. Everyone is well grounded and balanced. In addition, the teachers are so good at explaining what's going on that even I can follow. I am totally blind and hardly ever have issues following along, real time, with the class. I highly suggest trying it!

I went to a Vinyasa class led by Kaley and loved it! The class was definitely challenging at times but nothing too crazy and she gave lots of options for people to adjust depending on what worked best for them. I’ve already signed up for additional classes because I enjoyed it so much and am looking forward to trying more!

I’ve been coming to Yoga Pura for over a month now, and let me start by saying that I am so grateful to have found this neighborhood gem! I absolutely love coming to this studio for their peaceful zen vibes, diverse range of classes and fun events. I have taken both essentials basics and vinyasa classes here with Jen and Laura (respectively) and they were amazing! I enjoyed participating in the community class and clothing swap during my first visit, and highly recommend attending a candlelight flow class when they are available! Given that it had been years since I did in-person yoga classes, I have been pleasantly surprised with my experience so far at this studio. The teachers are very kind, outgoing and supportive; the other students and front desk staff are nice and welcoming as well. I love how uplifting the Yoga Pura community has been, and cannot wait to attend more classes and join as a member in the future.

For those who are interested in visiting, they currently offer a new student special; which will give you a 2 week pass to attend as many classes as you desire for $30! I highly recommend taking advantage of this opportunity as a trial run to see what to expect as a Yoga Pura member. 20/10, highly recommend! πŸ§˜πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ’œ

I went to a basics class as my first class in several years, and it was so nice! Not too difficult but not too easy either. If I lived closer I would definitely be back!

Yoga Pura has been one of the best parts of moving to the Moon Valley neighborhood. I had already heard about this studio but I lived pretty far so didn't get to try them until I bought a house in the area and realized they were 5 minutes away. What an absolute GEM of a studio! I've been going 3-4 times per week for about a month. I've done yoga my whole life off and on, but the last few years I suffered through endless classes that were either blasting music, touting 'a hard workout' or blasting the heat (whyyyy???). From the minute I walked into this studio I knew it was different. Everyone is just so friendly and authentic and kind. Every single teacher is just so knowledgeable, calming and real. You leave here feeling regulated, mobile, calm and content. I have stuck mainly with the essential basics, yin and restorative, as I'm in a cross fit gym 4 times a week and own a very stressful business. I don't need a stressful fast paced workout from yoga. I need the mobility, the drop in cortisol levels, the regulation of my nervous system, and the meditation - all of which I get from this studio and more. They do offer challenging classes as well for anyone looking to up their effort. I have been just so satisfied and content with every single class I've taken.

Beautiful studio! The team at the front desk was so friendly and already expecting me based on my reservation. The restorative yoga class I took was so relaxing. The teaching was excellent (I'm a yoga teacher myself) and I really appreciated the availability of so many props (blocks, etc.). If I lived closer to this studio, I'd definitely become a member!

As a veteran and semi yogi I figured during this time of shut down that I would write a review finally! This yoga studio is by far one of the best I have been to. They are professional, knowledgeable and helpful. I highly suggest this location. For those Veterans out there they do help you and offer some pretty cool perks!

The tribe at Yoga Pura is one of a kind. I’ve been to many yoga studios in the Phoenix area and none of them stood out to me like this one. The teachers are so amazing at incorporating intentions of the class so we can not only better ourselves physically but mentally and spiritually as well. If you’re trying to find a studio I highly recommend this one. I love Yoga Pura and the community it brings.

I really enjoy the classes here. They are very calming and meditative.

I tried Bikram hot yoga before at a different studio and it wasn't for me, I got dehydrated and it seemed stressful and competitive. This place is the total opposite and I will be back regularly.

I am a former empolyee of yoga pura. While I can say that the studio is lovely and the teachers are great. The way management treats the staff is awful! Lovely teachers! But it's only fair that customers and potential customers should know about how employees are treated. That is an improtant factor to me, as I feel it is to others.

I do love this place because it's only 2 min away from me. The teachers are absolutely wonderful, everyone is friendly and inviting. The only reason it's not five stars for me is because they don't offer more challenging practices that incorporate ashtanga or kundalini yoga, very few options for arm balancing and more advanced poses. However, some of the vinyasa practices will have you drenched! So overall, highly recommend.

After 11 years of practice, this is still by far my favorite yoga studio. The teachers are notch and they genuinely care about staying true to the roots of yoga. It's a work out for your body and mind. The studio has a great relaxing vibe and sense of community. Membership: monthly fee provides unlimited classes (Great deal of you use it!!) or pay per class. I would live there if I could lol.

I had a very warm and inviting experience my first time at Yoga Pura. I took a Yin Yoga class with Laura and she is an Angel. She is extremely friendly & inviting, she came and greeted me personally, and introduced herself and led such a relaxing, yet empowering class. The ambiance of the room was peaceful and I had such a beautiful release that night and plan to be back for more classes. This studio is a gem.
