Honestly, I would give them a ZERO if that was available. My daughter thought she cancelled her membership when she moved home December 2024, an entire year ago, but apparently just froze it. I got a yearly membership fee charged and reached out over 2 weeks ago to get it corrected. I was told the fee would not be refunded when I spoke to the Manager Shawn. He said I could send an email, but it would just sit there. He then proceeded to tell me that I had to give a 30 day notice, and would likely be charged a monthly fee for a service that has not been used for 12 months, which would not be refunded either. Shawn says my daughter needs to cancel it online in the app. Great, so we try that and get an error message that "Customer not allowed to cancel". We open a support case, that goes nowhere, no response. We reach out the Peiper, the Asst Manager, and again get the runaround, cancel in the app. IT DOES NOT WORK. We have sent over 6 emails and have called the location 3 or 4 times. My option is to drive 5 hours to cancel a $19.95/month membership? There has to be a better way to handle this, but no one responds or is willing help. Maybe this will get to the right person.

Complete honest and realistic non-dramatic review Crunch Fayetteville Arkansas I’ve been going to this gym for Just over two years now and let’s start off with the cons
Cons:
1. Super busy depending on what time you go, so the bathrooms are constantly running out of soap to wash your hands, which is absolutely disgusting and paper towels to dry your hands My recommendation do what other gyms do and buy extra soap from Walmart and leave them on the contour There’s only two soap dispensers & about 100 people in the gym at all times there needs to be more soap dispensers (MensLocker)
2. Some of the equipment is starting to show signs of Wear and tear, which is obviously going to happen people use it machines wear out But they are definitely slower to fix the issue than other gyms However, this is a budget gym so you get exactly what you’re paying for
3. Plate dumbbells barbells are constantly in random places throughout the gym Which isn’t the biggest deal cause normally they have Plenty however in the future, I would like to see crew members walking around putting equipment back to where they go However, this is not on Crunch alone. This is also on The people using the gym for not putting their weights back in the right spot
4. Don’t waste your money buying the more expensive membership so you can access all the crunches in America. It’s very misleading. You can only access certain crunches. You can’t access signature locations, which was very unfortunate when I found that out. I travel a lot for work and I thought I would be able to go to different crunches around America, but I always got told that I would have to go miles out of my way to access the Crunch that my membership allowed me to… that’s not on Crunch Fayetteville, that’s on all crunches. I would say partially misleading definitely make that more bold in the future, but I could’ve overlooked that.
5. Canceling memberships after finding out that I couldn’t access every Crunch in America I wanted to change my membership to a lower membership, but they were going to charge like a new enrollment Fee or some kind of fee so It ended up being more beneficial for me to use it for the rest of the year and then cancel the membership which is what I did The cancellation process is super easy now I cancelled my membership. It charged me the amount for one month and I still get to access the gym for an entire month after canceling so that’s honestly pretty cool.
6. Not always 24 hours Again, I would recommend doing what many other gyms do Have us unlock the door with a certain key card or QR code on our phone so we can access the gym 24 hours a day seven days a week hopefully in the future we can. This isn’t a big con However since I travel a lot, I consistently get my days mixed up and sometimes show up to the gym on a Saturday at four in the morning, and they’re not open Again, not really a con just something I wanted to make aware
Pros: There’s honestly a lot of pros. This is a affordable budget friendly gym
1. Affordability I personally recommend the memberships where you can cancel at any time so it’s gonna be about $15 a month minus taxes That way you’re not stuck in a contract and if you end up moving or needing to cancel your membership, they charge you for one month and then you get to access the gym for an entire month as well so you don’t just like lose a whole month, which is honestly very good. I respect that a lot.
2. Even though the equipment is sometimes under repair and it takes a while, there’s usually plenty of equipment as long as you go when it’s not so busy
3. Pretty solid community Since I’ve been going to this gym for two years, I’ve went at so many different hours and there’s Always a good vibe here
4. Very spacious gym Tons of benches and it’s typically only filled up during peak hour like 10 AM through about 8 PM But it’s going to depend on the days
Overall, you’re getting exactly what you pay for I enjoy this gym more than PF Even though it’s a bit more costly I prefer the equipment here and the plates they use at Crunch

I have been to 8 Crunch facilities and they are all pretty much well kept. This one however was disgusting.Every machine had literal gunk on the handles and cup holders, trash everywhere and food crumbs. The bathroom was horrid. They had plenty of staff standing around talking but only 1 lady cleaning with a vacuum.

Good equipment selection for a box gym. And that's where the positives end. This is one of the most disgusting gyms I've been to in a long time. The employees don't put back the equipment that the patrons didn't put back, so you end up searching for the right equipment half the time. Not only are the machines dirty as they can be, they stink. The locker room looks like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks and it wouldn't surprise me if they haven't, with trash everywhere, floors filthy, and what looks like to be lint from the lack of cleaning. I want to say the employees are at fault, but this just boils down to poor management. They should be fired and be replaced with an all new competent staff. I can't believe I'm saying this. But I'd rather go to planet fitness...
Edit** Since the response of this location fails to understand that I travel across the country and go to many gyms, primarily Planet Fitness and recently Crunch gyms, I've given some PF poor ratings for other reasons and some good. But by far this is the worst Crunch Fitness in 4 states. I'm currently in Killeen, TX and not only is 1000x cleaner but well maintained. The staff actually spends the night reorganizing and cleaning the gym. I've been going to the gym since 2004. So don't patronize me with how crunch is not for everyone when it's your lack of management that's at fault.

I usually don’t come to crunch the customer service especially in the afternoon isn’t great. Love the classes & the teachers. Its the only reason I really kept it. My son wanted to work out, dropped him off. He is 13 she stated I had to stay with him yet others passed and didn’t even checked in. We ended up leaving & I was already going to cancel my membership not for this reason but then she states we have to do it online & couldn’t do it there. Ridiculous policy, if I could sign up there I should be able to also cancel in person.

Piper the manager is rude, has horrible customer service and doesn’t manage the gym very well. She will also hold a grudge against you if you make her mad. Speaking from experience.
Gym is constantly out of supplies to clean off machines, broken machines, and lets people and their “friends” in for free without scanning but will check everyone else. I don’t understand why there’s 7 people at the front desk when there’s no towels and the gym is dirty. Trash will stay in the same place for days at a a time and would rather wait for someone else to come in and clean it instead of

This place is fabulous. Especially if you are a mom. The gold membership is only 30 a month and includes unlimited child care! And spray tans and everything else. I had read a bunch of reviews about the place being dirty and so I was nervous to join. This place must have changed because they usually have someone cleaning the bathrooms most days I go. There hasn’t been any issues for me. The other day the one of the spray tans wasn’t working and the bathrooms didn’t have paper towels but that’s about it. Love this gym. Thank you for having child care! And the workers are very sweet there.

Worst gym ever! Jeremy the CFO needs to take care of his members. I called and complained about the water fountain that was out for 4 months. They only have 2 ropes for the entire gym. Jeremy called and said I was banned from the gym for this complaint. Go to The Forum! I was a great member for 4 years and finally complained. Also Super nasty restrooms!! Gross 🤮 Jeremy you need to learn something that my mentor Zig Ziglar personally taught me…. Jeremy you can be right or you can be rich but not both! Don’t call me again hiding behind a NO ID phone call! I’ve also spoken to many other crunch franchise owners and yes, one of the largest ones and we had a wonderful talk. It’s amazing when people listen to you. Very simple mood for me just moved my membership. Don’t even go to this place invest your money somewhere else especially a place that will listen to you.
Update: Horrible franchise owner! Might want to search by my first name and not my middle name owner. Your trash and your company is trash! Shame on you! I’m already in talk with lifetime fitness and we’re gonna put that bad boy right next to you!! Below this comment you will see why I updated! Crunch Fitness in Fayetteville is hands-down one of my favorite gyms in town. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the energy. The space is huge, clean, and well equipped, with machines and cardio options across the board. Everyone I’ve spoken with has been super helpful, knowledgeable, and always willing to go the extra mile, whether it’s showing you how to use a machine, suggesting which classes might work best for your goals, or answering any questions you throw at them. Compared to other gyms, this one nails the balance between having serious gear, a wide array of classes, and a welcoming, motivating atmosphere. If you're looking for a gym that supports you, not just sells you a membership, Crunch Fayetteville is absolutely the best choice hand down!

The worst gym experience. Especially the personal training department. I signed up for a session and of course they make you sign a contract and the session never happened. It kept getting rescheduled and it got to a point where the trainer stopped responding. Almost $50 gone. Do not recommend.
In response to your comment. I have the agreement that I signed for one session and the exact amount I paid was $44, so like I said, almost $50. I also still have the text thread with said trainer who repeatedly rescheduled my session and then stopped responding. Who also claimed he would refund my money from his own pocket if I was unhappy at any point, which I am but i digress. Again, horrible gym experience. Thank you and good day! 0 stars cause y’all aren’t even worth 1.

I'm giving Crunch Fitness in Fayetteville two stars due to a terrible customer service experience and issues with the gym itself.
I was charged for an extra 2 months of dues and fees after trying to cancel my membership due to a terrible policy in their fine print. When I tried to talk to the staff about it, they were extremely unhelpful and rude and looked annoyed that I was asking for help.
The gym is always busy, and I often found myself waiting for equipment. The sauna is only working a third of the time, and there is always equipment that's down.
While this gym seems to appeal to college students specifically, I would strongly weigh your options and check out other options like the Fayetteville Athletic Club (FAC) across town that offers student discounts.

They bump you up to $15/mo ($17.55 after taxes) after first year. It doesn’t explicitly state that when I sign up.
Called the gym. The front desk guy just said it’s in your contract, said you can cancel anytime, so they try to get people on the hook before raising the rate.
Now, I just paid the annual fee for this year that was auto drafted soooooooo…. really would hate to cancel and waste that money, but, out of principle, I may have to.
The gym is fairly dirty, bathrooms are disgusting, music is extremely loud, and customer service and management is mediocre at best.

Customer service at this gym is a joke. They would rather you cancel your account than waive a $15 late fee. My card was compromised and was not able to make changes to my payment method online due to broken website. The reviews about the gym being filthy are true especially the bathrooms. Pubic hairs on the floor and overflowing trash. The water fountain is disgusting and looks like it has never been cleaned. I usually just avoid the bathrooms and would have stayed since I enjoyed the classes but the assistant manager would rather lose a $35/month contract instead of waiving a $15 late fee.

First google review I’ve ever made. DO NOT SIGN UP HERE! They made it so impossible for me to cancel my membership (literally impossible). I ended up deciding it’s easier to cancel my card and make a new one just to get these people out of my life. They went on to charge me over $200 for my $10 a month gym membership, a membership I wasn’t even using. They keep record of when their members come in. They then sold my balance they had for some reason racked up with me to a debt collection agency which could’ve ruined my credit score if I didn’t catch it soon enough. This is not a gym membership, it’s a membership to ruin your life. I’m surprised they haven’t gotten sued yet. Not to mention the gym is absolutely terrible. Gross bathrooms and unorganized equipment. No windows, it’s like a dungeon. I’m a normal guy - I don’t write reviews… but I felt the need to warn the general population about their predatory money scams.

Good gym. Need more than 1 water fountain and the sauna has been broken in the men's locker more than it works. I have been a full price member for over a year and the thing is broken more than working.Other than that no problems. Wish child care was better hours for the working person but it is what it is. Love that April always puts workouts for people like myself who have medical issues but she has great motivation.

I have really enjoyed the facilities at Crunch Fayetteville, however, their management team has handled a recurring billing problem with my account so poorly I can not recommend anyone go to this location. I have reached out on numerous occasions and been told notes have been left for the team to get back to me and have failed to. I have been told they will get back to me on the rare occasion a manager is available to help and not done so. They have stolen over $1000 from me in charges I am still actively disputing with my bank as unauthorized charges to my account and this is an ongoing issue.

There seems to be a lack of care around customer service here.
I was in a higher tier contract and asked to downgrade. I was told I’d have to pay a downgrade fee to make this change which I paid and proceeded with the change.
Then two months later I was charged an additional annual fee, one I had just been charged for earlier in the year. Nobody told me I’d have to pay ANOTHER annual fee just because I downgraded my contract.
The staff informed me there’s literally nothing they can do to make the situation right. They said they were sorry but nothing could be done.
I just don’t understand how you don’t value your members enough to do something to make this right. I will now forever have a bad taste in my mouth about this gym and can’t in good conscience recommend this place to other people.
Side note: the gym is quite dirty and equipment is broken often. It seems like they could do something about this with all the annual fees they are double charging people…

I love this gym, I have been going here twice a day since it opened. all the staff is very friendly. The reason I am writing this review is because it has come to my attention that there are numerous negative reviews on the gyms cleanliness and machines being out of order. I’m hoping that this review is seen by those people, since I have been coming here, yes it has got dirty but that is what you get when you come to a high traffic gym, not to mention I see the staff, morning and afternoon, cleaning, vacuuming, and picking up trash EVERYDAY. The reviews about cleanliness are a reflection of the lack of cleanliness of the members. College kids should not have to be running around and picking up adults messes. They aren’t the ones that throw the paper towels and leave weights on the floor YOU ARE!! Yes the trash and dust bunnies are the responsibility of the staff but I do seem trying to upkeep the cleanliness of the gym! As far as machines being down, i’ve seen many reviews about the men’s sauna and after speaking with the staff it has come to attention that MEMBERS will poor drinks on the electrical boxes and that it was makes or break. In what way is that the staff or gyms fault? They cannot hold everyone’s hand and make sure they are doing the right thing. You are all ADULTS and should be able to know right from wrong. I’ve also seen reviews of people talking about the water fountain, yes it sucks that it is down, but what can a front desk worker do about that? They have no idea how to fix it and they are the ones getting yelled at, every time it is down the staff members are very apologetic but they shouldn’t be because it is not there fault. They have to call people out to fix those types of things and that is going to take time. The last thing that will speak on in crunch being “fraud” and signing you up for stuff you didn’t know about. The thing is you are angry at the fact that you are in competent and can’t read the agreements to what you are signing.A team member can explain the rules and regulations but they can’t understand it for you. If you would ALL READ YOUR AGREEMENTS you will know that when you first sign up you are in a 60 day agreement, you will know you have a 30 day notice when you cancel, and you will notice that everything is written out in plain sight. Stop trying to blame others for the consequences to you own actions. Crunch staff, I am very sorry you all have to deal with incompetent adults that probably don’t know there left from right.

Price gouging at its finest. When I signed up for a membership they forced me to sign up for a “kick off day trial workout” turns out, it’s not free and is an upcharge. Was never given the option to not do the workout. When I talked to the GM he said there was nothing he could do as purchases were final.
Be careful when you sign for this gym.
Edit:
In response to your comment. As I mentioned to you in person I was not asked 'IF" i wanetd it, I was asked "WHEN" I was going to do it and was told that if i didnt give a date he coulnt compete the sign up process. Not impressed with the cleanliness of this facility. I chose it after 11 years at PF because it’s In proximity to my house and job. The health department and upper Crunch Fitness quality assurance team needs to surprise this location. It is unsanitary and filthy.

This gym has gone downhill since it opened. The whole place is filthy. The women's bathroom is rarely cleaned...paper, hair and mud on the floor, mold around the sink...paper towels, toilet paper and soap are always out. The water fountain has pink mold and scales all over it. The actual gym part is covered in dirt and debris, the equipment cleaning solution and paper towels are never stocked. Equipment is often broken. Weights and gym materials are literally strewn about the entire facility. Any time it rains the roof leaks and leaves puddles of water on the floor. By the free weights, the floor is warped in multiple places, causing a tripping hazard. Often times there is no one at the front desk...unless there are 4-5 people all standing around not doing anything. It has been disheartening to see this facility deteriorate in this way.

Horrible experience with this gym. Be very aware and read all the FINE print before signing up. I paid a whole year in advance, went into the gym to cancel 2 months before my “agreement” was up. Was given instructions that “I didn’t understand clearly” and that was my “fault” as it was pointed out by the cancellation dept. representative. FYI just so you don’t get charged additional months. There is a very specific number you must call to cancel your membership and you must call 30 days before they are suppose to charge your card. If you try to do it too much in advance you’ll be told to wait until it’s closer to the 30 day before and if you pass even 1 day after you will be charged for the whole next month. In my opinion this is merely strategy of convenience to get more money. They are not concerned at ALL with making things right or keeping good relations with you as a paying customers once you decided to cancel your membership. You should also know they just use the word “agreement” to be able to say there is “no contract required”, but they have no problem using it to their benefit. When one of my friends shared her horror story about the gym, sadly I had already signed the “agreement”. They have horrible customer service and managers are not interested in helping and both managers I spoke to were very condescending. It’s all about how they can squeeze the most out of you. I hope you consider this and read this before signing up to this gym. Worst experience with a gym I’ve ever had.

While performing dumbbell flys, a staff member began vacuuming inches from my body mid-set—putting my safety at risk. If he’d made contact, I could’ve been seriously injured. The area didn’t even need cleaning at the time. Who vacuums that close to someone actively lifting?
The men’s locker room is consistently dirty—paper towels often missing, trash bins overflowing, and garbage left in corners. I’ve also seen weights left scattered around and multiple machines with bolts or screws visibly missing and lying nearby.
For a gym that charges a $45 annual equipment fee (which I was charged twice this year), I expect better maintenance and professionalism.
If you’re expecting high-quality standards, keep in mind this is a college-town gym—you’re likely to experience subpar conditions and a lack of accountability.

After I paid off a $115 fee, one of the crew members at the gym told me they could close out my account and that I wouldn’t be charged again. I trusted that information and thought everything was finally settled. Then this May, I got hit with another $27 charge. When I called to figure out what happened, no one could help—they just told me to call an 800 number. That was it. No answers, no accountability. It’s disappointing that incompetence has sentenced my wallet to yet another trip to that god-awful payment line. Granted, many policies come from the top down, and staff are often at the mercy of those policies. That being said, misinformation should never be given out, and that fault lies solely with the team member who assured me my account would be closed out.
The gym itself has decent equipment—plenty of machines, free weights, and space. The bathrooms and locker rooms, however, are lacking in hygiene and upkeep—not quite unbearable, but not much better than a Memphis EZ-mart.

If I can give this place 0 I would.
Like other complaints on here. The costumer service is horrible.
I’ll start off with an email I wrote in when I came in to pick my little one up from the child center and she was eating another child’s food. God for bid she did not choke on this or was allergic to the item. I wrote an email in with no response from that. Not sure if they actually care about child safety here which was the only reason I became a member here.
In September I asked how to cancel and a young gentle man said to email in to cancel. I did so hoping all was well.
In November on Thanksgiving I noticed I was still getting charged. I called the main line and this time a woman said I needed to call in to a call center. Of course it’s in India and I can barely understand the lady. I asked if they would take the $30 I had already paid since September due to the employee giving me the wrong information. But no, they wanted more. They wanted an additional $30 to close the account. Fast forward to May. My husband found charges on his chard adding up to $350. We do not live in Arkansas and have not used the facility since possibly July .
I asked they take the $30 out from the $350 and finally be done with this madness but no. They still want another $30 to cancel services.
I have never had such horrible consumer service, been to a filthier gym, and Money crave business.
I now need to bring this to small claims court to Handel this because this facility cannot do the right thing.
DO NOT waste your time or money with them. It’s all about money, They have no business ethics. There is no regional manger or CEO. The Franchisee owner is not involved at this location and you’re stuck with the general manager.
I could never treat a client of mine the way this facility has treated me. I’m now pregnant with my second child and could use the $350 to support care but Crunch fitness only cares about themselves and making money.

Weigh your options before committing to this place. Plenty of free weights and machines, but it’s extremely busy in the morning and evenings. With that heavy volume of people, there is always equipment down or in a constant state of unnerving condition. I get it’s going to happen, but the gym takes no priority in getting things maintained routinely or acting quickly on servicing a down piece of equipment. I highly, HIGHLY advise you when weighing your options of gyms in the area to consider the cleanliness of the facilities. I get ready here in the mornings and the cleanliness is absolutely awful; mold/mildew on the walls, paper towels and trash everywhere, the floors floors are littered with grime, hair, dust - you name it. Pretty disgusting bathrooms all around with no hope in sight from management. Not to mention 1 out of the 3 standard showers has been down for 2 months, so expect to wait in line for a shower in the mornings.
Again, ask yourself if the $10-$20 justifies putting up with a completely neglected gym.

This is the DIRTIEST gym ever!!! I have completed probably 3 surveys that were sent to me and have put that on there and nothing is done! There is hair all over the floor, especially in the women’s locker room! The sauna is nasty! Hair, trash, sticky stuff on the floor and under the seating area, the door won’t close all the way, so the heat comes out. There is frequently no paper towels in the Womens locker room. It’s just gross! The water filter always is dirty. Even the entire floor in the gym area is dirty, half the treadmills are broke. I think they have 1 cleaning person but 5 people up at the front desk, and if you mention how dirty the locker room is, they won’t clean it. This place is probably making people sick from the germs! If there is anywhere that needs to be clean and sanitized it’s a hospital and a gym! Do better Crunch!

For the price it's way worth it! I've been searching for cost efficient, instructor led, workout classes around northwest Arkansas and you can't beat these for the price! They have many options, i.e. spin, pilates, strength/resistance classes, high intensity interval training (HIIT) sessions!

This is going to be the same as every other 1 star review.
Men’s bathroom always had a shower down and a urinal. Bathrooms were never cleaned, the few times I have seen someone cleaning they were using a pressure washer, no soap or chemicals. The gym is not a true 24/7 gym unsure if it is due to lease with the mall or what. Water fountain is constantly down as well. For as many members as this gym has it should be more than able to afford for a commercial plumber to come out same day and repair the water fountain, showers or urinals.

Understand what this place is. This is a low-cost college gym. It is always crowded. So much so, my AirPods often have static and there is line for most equipment.
The price level is too low and the premium memberships are not worth it. Frankly, if you are serious about the gym, go to one that doesn't feel like a high school boy's locker room. I literally found cigarette butts in the lockers. Facilities like the sauna are often broken. Giving two stars because the front desk reps are generally friendly, but the quality standards, cleanliness, maintenance, and management need to improve for me to consider it a viable option.

I'm really disappointed about the lack of communication with minors who may have never been to a gym, and that they don't explain the costs in detail after donating certificates that say three months are free. They end up charging more than the cost because they didn't explain that to a minor. Speaking with a representative there, I asked for their full name. They told me they couldn't give me their last name, since clients never give their last name.

Had an alright experience here, until I tried to cancel my membership. I paid more for the $17/month membership for the ability to cancel it at any time. Then when I wanted to cancel they said I had to give a month heads up, so I had to pay another $17 to even though I am moving out of town. Yeah, it's only $17, but it's the principle.

Editing to respond to the owner: The original membership contract actually does not say anything about calling an 800 number so that is false. I pulled ours up to review. Your policy is also not clear by any means when in half of these reviews you see within the last 6-8 months it is a policy where people need only come in to sign a form. Then the other half appears to be an updated policy of having to call this number. So, again it is NOT clear. Also, just a suggestion, if you want your policy to be more clear (I am sure you can clearly state your policy) then please make sure your mgt. is effectively training the staff who are answering the phones on how to very clearly communicate the policy. I believe if they were trained properly and could communicate that well over the phone OR in person it would alleviate much frustration for many people and would result in less negative reviews for your business. When we called we advised we have without any notice had to move away from Fayetteville and would need to cancel. The young man on the phone said "okay you'll have to come in to get a card with a phone number on it". We said - that is not possible, we have MOVED and are no where near your gym. We asked if he could just give us the number on the card... I mean if you are trying to have people call a number to cancel instead of comig in to cancel, why make people come in to get a card with a phone number to cancel. Very Redundant. This young man actually put us on hold to "go ask someone if he could do that"???? He came back and advised he could give us the phone number. So, he gave us the number. We asked if we could freeze/ suspend since the number cannot be called over the weekend and our next payment was due the next week. He literally had no idea how to directly answer the question which relates to poor mgt. training him. We just ate the next payment and have cancelled. The really sad thing here is we actually enjoyed this gym very much for the years of membership, loyal since it first opened and much time was spent there. Not really any other complaints. I think that should be the most frustrating thing for you, the owner. That a loyal patron for years could have such a sour taste in their mouth from a very adverse discussion with someone representing your brand. You don't manage to accumulate the absolute abundance of reviews stating exactly the same thing we have said if your cancellation policy is clear. One or two people... might be a fluke. As many bad reviews for this as you have, it's not by mistake, it's by design. Wishing you all the very best in your future endeavors.
Believe every single review you see about them being a predatory gym! All these reviews are NOT lying to you! They are predatory in the difficulty they put you through to cancel your membership. Only people who are predatory in business affairs will make it to where you have to jump through hoops to be able to keep your OWN money that indeed does NOT belong to them when you are NOT under a contract. Go anywhere but here.

Crunch is OVERCROWDED, unhygienic, and mismanaged. the music is not only horrid- but also far too loud most of the time. I can’t even hear my own headphones sometimes. As someone with sensory issues, the music alone can be super overwhelming.
If the gym is so popular… like you mention in a roundabout way when customers mention overcrowding- why can’t you afford to pay a third party cleaning service? Or a maintenance worker? Or what about opening a second location with all those memberships? When the gym is empty- all you can hear is the music. And when the gym is packed- it is sooo packed and un-enjoyable that I often leave before I sweat. This is nothing against the complacent workers or trainer who probably don’t get paid enough to care- but against the “crunch owner” making these passive aggressive comments at people who paid dues and supported you at one point. If you can’t refund my time or money- how about ending the shenanigans and actually start making changes that you need to make to keep your business afloat. Word of mouth travels fast in NWA better or worse.
The sauna was good when not crowded, broken, or littered with tissues and hair ties. For me the tip of the ice berg was 8:30pm and there was a completely full sauna with 4-5 girls waiting on the bench to use it. The next night I went in at 10pm (drove all across town) really only wanting to use the sauna and it was packed so I left frustrated. I’m done.

Avoid Crunch Fitness at All Costs!
I have never had a worse experience with a gym than I have with Crunch Fitness. Cancelling a membership is an absolute nightmare. I moved shortly after joining. I tried cancelling 9 months ago, only to be told I had to pay an outrageous fee. Fine—I waited until my year contract was up and continued paying, thinking it would be smooth after that. Nope. Once my contract ended, they still tried to charge me a $160 fee that had already been settled 9 months prior, plus another full two more months of fees.
To make matters worse, when I called the gym, a manager got nasty with me, acting completely unprofessional. The customer service call center is beyond useless as they refuse to help, drag out the call, and are flat-out disrespectful. They will do everything possible not to cancel your membership, no matter how many hoops you jump through. This call center is the worst of my entire experience. These matters should not be taken care of in a call center period. They should have someone in house who can handle cancellation matters.
On top of all this, the gym itself is dirty, unkept, and poorly maintained. I wouldn’t recommend Crunch Fitness to anyone.

the most predatory behavior i have ever experienced, not just out of a gym, but from any business i’ve ever interacted with. It got to the point my family and i were having to record our phone calls with the “customer service line”…which is just a call center with the same two people blatantly lying, reading off a script, refusing to answer your questions, and trying to confuse and manipulate the situation into you thinking you cancelled your memberships, and then creating a “misunderstanding”/loophole that results in them not cancelling, not clarifying it’s not cancelled, and then blaming you. we had to begin recording ourselves, because when we requested previous recordings of phone calls of us requesting cancellation(which they explicitly state they record), they refused to provide them and spun an entire story of how “we refused to pay the cancellation fee and just hung up the phone on them”. and yet when I asked for the recordings of me “refusing” and “hanging up”, they told me they couldn’t give me those. so they continued to bill me for almost two months after i had originally called and CONFIRMED cancellation. the whole business is sketchy and the ‘corporate’ number listed on the main crunch website is a dead line, so you can’t even contact anybody besides the man and woman at the call center. Also when i did finally get it cancelled, they told me they couldn’t give me anything in writing to confirm the cancellation, just a receipt for $77 (but it doesn’t say anything on the receipt about cancellation). when you call your direct/local gym, they direct you back to that call center number, and pretty much say there’s nothing they can do for you. Went to report this company to the Better Business Bureau and they already had over 20 complaints filed, all unanswered, and a score of F by the BBB. they also charged me a “maintenance fee” to cancel my membership. when i asked why i was having to pay the yearly maintenance fee if i was cancelling my membership at the beginning of the year, and if i had already requested cancellation months ago, they told me that’s just how it is and i either pay the fee or they won’t cancel. so it cost me $77 to cancel my membership. i wouldn’t recommend this experience or this gym to my worst enemy. i don’t know if there are many businesses out there operating less morally and less ethically than this one.

I enjoyed going to the gym when I was going, but it's just another predatory gym when you try to cancel your membership. I haven't been using the facility in months, yet when I go to cancel my membership, turns out—conveniently enough for them—that I'll need to pay an additional yearly fee of $50+ in addition to a monthly fee because it falls within 30 days of my cancellation notice. I emailed the club about this, and the general manager sent me a membership agreement with a bunk signature on it that wasn't mine, nor was it the membership agreement I found posted to on my account online. TL;DR: It's an okay gym, but monetarily predatory like the rest of them.

Pros: Nice equipment, large space, child care
Cons: Half of the members that join here leave within a few months because of the poor conditions of the bathrooms and gym floor…
The condition of the bathrooms are something you’d see in a porta potty at a big concert. Hair, urine, toilet paper, you don’t even want to breathe in there it’s so foul and it’s like that ALL the time especially the men’s bathroom.
The nice equipment on the gym floor has gobs of hair, dirt, trash under and around them, (don’t look down) also things are broken and “out of order” for weeks…
The place COULD be nice but POOR management leads most members to leave and back back to their old gym after a short time…

I regret ever setting foot in Crunch Fitness—and that one visit has cost me $503. Yes, you read that right: five hundred and three dollars for ONE trip to the gym. The promise of “cheap” fitness is about as real as unicorns at this place.
I’ve tried to cancel my membership four times over the past year, and every time, it’s like navigating an obstacle course more complex than any workout they offer. Phone calls? Useless. Emails? Ignored. Showing up in person? Still no dice. Apparently, “cancellation” at Crunch is a mythical concept.
The cherry on top? The staff gives you the ultimate runaround, making sure you leave with nothing but frustration and a lighter wallet. If this is their version of cardio, it’s not working for me.
Lesson learned: cheap doesn’t always mean affordable—sometimes it just means shady. Don’t make the $503 mistake I did. Unless you’re looking for a lesson in persistence or just enjoy giving away money, steer clear of Crunch Fitness.

The most price gouging scam of a gym I’ve ever been to. I wish I could give this place negative stars. The child “care” is happy to take out your kids in a room in front of a tv while the caregivers sit and gossip in the corner. The two times I brought my kids they sent a message in less than 5 minutes saying that my 1 year old was crying uncontrollably and needed to leave. They did nothing to soothe her and forced us to abruptly end our session immediately. So paying $35 a to send my children to a place they can’t even go is ridiculous. Trying to cancel your membership is the utter most FRUSTRATING experience as they drain every single penny they can. They will send you on a super fun scavenger hunt, you can’t cancel online they say you have to do it in person, then they give you a card to call a number. They’ll then make you pay an extra month to cancel even if you’re not going back. The added benefits of handwashing/sanitizing stations in the bathrooms that are almost always broken. Which is super fun since they also never fill up the sanitizing spray bottles or paper towels to wipe the equipment.
All in all if you to choose to test the waters of the worlds most lackluster gym, remember your children will not be loved, you will leave with a special case of e. Coli, and a couple hundred dollars poorer. I wouldn’t recommend this place if my life depended on it. Thanks:)

There is this one personal trainer who is so rude it’s actually insane. If you mistakenly use anything she needs for her class she will not hesitate to yell at you. Or another time I used a landmine that already had a plate on it, like all the other landmines, and again she yelled at me. After I apologized and started walking away, she continued to make me feel bad about it. Hands down the absolute worst gym I've ever had the displeasure of visiting.
First off, the general manager Gavin, will lie to your face and feign incompetence to get out of resolving conflicts. I was told that people "wait for a singular machine instead of the first available" and that the two plate-loaded leg press machines are "slightly different". Both of these are utter lies, or he really is that incompetent, which wouldn't surprise me. Its really not that hard to check the model number Gavin, it's printed pretty plainly on the label.
Machines are constantly broken or in disrepair, and they stay this way for weeks, if not months. They have no desire to fix them in a timely fashion, even if that's the only machine for a given exercise. I've reported several broken machines and as I'm writing this review after a workout at Crunch, those machines are still broken weeks later.
The smith machines are short a bench, and its not uncommon for someone to take one of the few remaining benches to go do something else with.
The treadmills are either underpowered or hooked up to an inadequate power source, as the fans output next to no air.
The have a fitness class that takes place during peak hours that takes up half of the back of the gym, including the only place to do landmine presses and use the shuttle track, and you're not allowed back there if you're not part of the class. They should be using the empty classroom that people take mostly-nude selfies in, but they don't, and they don't seem to care about what people do in that room either.
The water from the water bottle refill station tastes like the filter hasn't been changed in years. It's bitter and absolutely foul.
As the weather has gotten colder, the air quality in the gym has gotten worse as well. It's gotten to the point where I get light headed and nauseous halfway through my workout and have to step outside. I thought maybe I was crazy, because it didn't seem like anyone else was having an issue, so I bought a reliable budget CO2 detector. 2100ppm during peak hours. Even giving some room for error since it's not a top of the line piece of equipment, that is still insanely high for a gym. Not only is it not healthy, its detrimental to workout performance. I don't know if they have a bad intake fan, or if they're just so cheap that they're turning on the heater at the start of the business day and then just recycling air for the rest of the day, but it should be a health violation.
All of this on top of the fact that they charge $5 more than Planet Fitness for access to all their amenities, and are absolutely predatory with billing. Not to mention that they have less amenities and can't even keep their basic equipment maintained.
Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. I will be, and I will be making sure no one that I know will make the same mistake of going to Crunch.

The gym itself seems nice.. they have a lot of equipment and I love the area with the heavy bags.. they have a great selection of heavy bags too get in some good bag work.. but the staff isn't very helpful and some of the staff act like you are bothering them of you ask them to help with something.. also they say that they're open 24 hours a day.. that's a lie.. they close at 9pm on Saturdays.. Sundays and Mondays.. And open again at 5am.. they are only open 24 hours Tuesday thru Friday.. that doesn't work for me and my needs.. so I have to find another gym that has heavy bags and stays open 24/7 with a good selection of weight machines as well.. disappointed..

Do not join this gym. I've been trying to cancel my sons membership for 7 months. The local Fayetteville folks claim they cannot cancel the membership and they give me a another number to call...and I never can get anyone to answer. Each month (7) I notice they charge my card, so I call again. Each time, I leave a message and I have not recieved a call back.

There’s a reason this gym is so cheap. I recently cancelled my membership. No one re racks their weights. It’s constantly a mess. There are almost always 5-10 staff members at the front desk, yet no one greets you. Despite the large number of staff, I’ve never seen anyone clean the equipment, and it clearly shows. If you want to work out anytime after 5pm, good luck. There are lines for machines because it is so crowded.
The customer service isn’t terrible, but the passive-aggressive responses from the owner on Google suggest they’re more focused on defending their gym's reputation for being great and clean than fostering positive interactions. There is a trainer at this location with a colorful pixie cut. Although I never attended one of her classes, my interactions with her were not positive, she is incredibly rude. I believe that wearing a company's brand comes with the responsibility to act respectfully and represent the company appropriately.
If you’re looking for a cheap gym membership and to get in and get out, go for it. If you’re looking for a great work out without distractions and water fountains that aren’t mold ridden, I suggest looking elsewhere. Hope that helps :)

Noah, who works at the front desk, is the best employee there as he helped me fix some issues I had with my account. I've been trying for months (in-person) to get my issues resolved... I decided to do it over the phone, and Noah was super efficient with resolving my issue within this call as he has made me very satisfied with my membership. Rest of the team needs to be more cooperative at the desk...

I am disgusted! I have the peak results package which includes daycare. My husband and I took our 6 month old today. Keep in mind we did not have high expectations but thought that they would at least be watching our child for an hour. We get in the daycare and a young lady that looked 20 checked us in and was NOTICEABLY NOT happy to be there. In the first five mins there were 3 looked like college kids that were the staff. Sitting in the theater talking. There was one other kid aside from ours and he was not being watched and they were not even paying attention to him. He had escaped and my husband had to stop him and get the staffs attention. I placed my child in the jumper they had and it was filthy. I had to wipe it down myself. I asked one staff member if that was the only people working and she said yes. So we quickly decided that we were not keeping our child there. My stomach is still in knots about this whole situation.

The gym is gross. The paper towel dispensers don’t work, so nobody disinfects their equipment. Oscar at the front desk said “that’s not the morning crew’s job, that’s for the night crew to do. No paper towels in the bathroom and a constantly broken sauna. When I asked Oscar about health code violations he just shrugged… pathetic & disgusting. It’s a cheap gym, so expect cheap workers, cheap upkeep, cheap equipment, and bring your own towels.

(Modified) Only 4 stars due to the lack of pulley equipment accessories to use the equipment (apparently those items are frequently stolen) also no resistance bands available due to being stolen also— It’s a quest to find the needed accessories to utilize a lot of the pulley/cable equipment-time that would be used to workout. That said it is also out of the management’s control unfortunately - (update)* the effort to rectify this issue is appreciated. *Thank you for a great customer experience due to Noah & Kelsey. Everyone is friendly , those 2 were who I interacted with due to jumping in and a helpfulness work ethic. A huge and popular facility with a large variety of equipment, Classes, & personal training. Also available with select packages- tanning beds, wifi & hydro massage chairs. The Locker rooms have free electric sauna, showers and lockers (bring your own lock), bathrooms could use more attention during peak times but nothing unsanitary - sinks, trash and paper towels get messy or run out. child care too available(details at front desk) The time of day does matter as to how crowded, find what works best for you & your schedule . This is during the holidays so some experiences may improve after holidays. Good membership options with good rates—- Recommended.

Genuinely can’t believe there’s such bad reviews of crunch. Been going here… over a year now? Maybe a year and a half. Colton is my personal trainer and there’s a reason he has the most clients. I respect him so much he was working with like no days off, finishing up his exercise science degree, all while in his free time researching exercises to help my chronic conditions. Super personable, understanding, intelligent, etc I don’t mean to glaze here folks just saying.

It was nice that they provided me a 7 day free trial before signing up so that I could try out the facility (the only reason I’m giving this 2 stars instead of 1). They also feature a lot of unique machines for working out specific muscle groups… beyond that however, it was all down hill
I am a student and my college provides me with a gym, but I wanted to go to a gym that features more equipment than my colleges gym. So I went to the one I’ve heard the most about over the years. I began to walk around and immediately found the deadlifting section that was oddly placed between the multipurpose machines and the squat racks. Here are just a few issues with this written below:
- NONE of the mats had weight clips on them, I began to look around frantically and saw none.
- no weight risers were insight, meaning when I want to deadlift 3-4 plates, I have to try to wiggle in that 3rd or 4th plate and look like an idiot in front of this massive crowd of people
- due to the positioning of the mats, people on the squat racks constantly take the weights away from the deadlifting zone, meaning I had to go searching for 45lbs plates.
- due to the lack of weight clips, whenever you drop the bar to the ground, the plates go everywhere and you have to reposition them over and over again, so if you’re deadlifting a 3x5 on like 325, good luck.
Then I went and found a bench. Finding the bench wasn’t difficult because they had so many (that’s at-least positive) but immediately I noticed some issues.
There was literally just a random hole in the wall on the left side of the free weight section… then I saw there was just like used paper towels all around my bench.
All of this lead me to making adjustments to my workout which was the entire reason I sought out for a new gym in the first place. I decided to go looking around for some cable machines, luckily they had plenty (again, a very good thing) however, with the caveat being they just don’t work many of the times. A few examples of this being listed below
- While signing up, i immediately noticed a flayed tricep pulldown rope that everyone has to use. As someone who has worked at a gym before, this is something an employee should typically put a work order in for, and judging by the fact that it looks torn so badly, it’s been getting worse and worse with no apparent fix in sight. It should have been replaced very long ago.
- I picked out a lat pulldown machine to do my back exercise, and began to try setting the weight for it. However, the switches that you flip to set the weight would simply just not flip. Because the center pole was tilted like 90° to the right not allowing for the clip to latch
certain things like the hole in the wall, the bathroom counters being soaked in water, zero weight clips, the scale being stuck and unable to weigh me properly without messing with the dial… so many of these things are just so difficult to get wrong. I have sympathy in the sense that they’ve got a lot of people in this gym, but there are ways to have a massive gym and also keep it clean and well maintained. If you want a good example of this, see EōS fitness and take some tips…

Crunch has been a game changer for me! I signed up for personal training with Colton about 4 months ago and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. Not only is the faculty itself awesome but the training program here makes me actually want to come to the gym. Colton makes it so easy to stay consistent because he takes away the stress of not knowing what to do or where to start. They do it all for you & help you meet your personal goals. If you’re looking to get in the gym but are feeling overwhelmed I strongly suggest signing up for personal training !

Dog shit experience. I signed up for the 24 hour gym. They changed the hours. So the gym schedule doesn't work for me. They replaced the paper station towels with reusable wash cloths. I found curly red hairs on the towel. I am trying to quit my membership but they gave a me a non responsive phone number. Do not join the gym. Gross practices, lazy attendees that don't replace towels or cleaner and they give their clients the run around. They will leave you hanging in every way as soon as you join. Extremely inappropriate and terrible music, unmaintained machines, and lack of equipment make it not worth the money. If you work out here expect to listen to WAP and other related songs by cardi b. I read several reviews about equipment, memberships and cleanliness that never seem to be addressed from “Crunch Fitness - Fayetteville (Owner)”.
This facility is discussing and dangerous. Bolts missing from equipment that are not put out of service. The water fountains have mold, Bathroom sinks, showers and toilets that have not been cleaned in weeks on end. Note that I didn’t say looks like, They have NOT been cleaned for weeks. Same trash, same mess for weeks.
I’m a regular gym person and this place has become my last place to go. It’s sad that feedback on a business gets ignored and the business owners wonder why they were not successful.
The staffing at the counter is many times over staffed to just say “Hi and have good workout” and not taking care of the facilities needs. They never want to be put off over paper towels or anything that needs addressed. I’ve informed several time of broken equipment and nothing happens for weeks or months. They need maintenance and would be better off to hire a 3rd party clean service to clean and sanitize so that it gets done.
There were broken lockers today. It would not surprise me to see them next year still broken. I’m surprised they don’t have Heath Dept violations.

Good luck trying to cancel. Had to call an international hotline. Got hung up on a few times in the middle of the call. Finally got to someone who didn’t hang up, and was put on hold 4 times. Not sure why it takes 54 min to process a credit card. No I do understand, it’s intentional. It’s pathetic and shady. For some reason I was told they needed to charge my card 3 separate times in order to add up to the full $60 amount to cancel… the third charge needed “additional authorization” so I was put on hold again… This isn’t oversight or incompetence, this is intentional.

I want to brag on April! She does the hitzone excerises. She has done 2 years of college for PT, and is ISSA certified. She is legit, she knows her stuff. That is very hard to find at any gym. She cares about her job, she cares about her clients, she cares about her equipment. I personally have gone in 10 minutes before class, and watch her set up all the equipment for us to use in class. She will have to walk the whole gym to find "big bertha" or a weight just so we can use during class and not feel like she doesn't care. She cares about how we do the excerises...she will literally take a moment to correct our form so we are isolating that muscle she wanted us to use. She makes it fun, wanting to come back for more. She takes alot of crap from college kids, men, and even women when she tells them the hitzone is roped off and they can't be in the zone for safety. I have witnessed horrible abuse from other people at the gym calling her hateful, rude, you name it I heard it. I tried to tell the front desk to include a manager who is a guy and they said there hands are tied. Thanks management She is trying to keep both clients at the gym safe. You don't want me coming into your squat rack area, bench press area, weight machine, treadmill and start working out when you are on it....but it's okay for other gym people to come in her roped off area and work out? That is rude, they are rude not her. I have watched pervs watch us as we stretch, work out, run and it's uncomfortable! But I don't yell perv when I see it, I tell my instructor and she handles it....same a teacher, boss, instructor. She is a combat vet and as a vet myself, I can respect her and the challenges she pushes us to. She is just amazing at what she does and people don't see her 1000% she puts in, blood sweet and tears she puts into Crunch. People are rude at that gym but she is only reason why I go to crunch, if she wasn't there I would never join or leave.

I turned a rower around to face the opposite direction of the way it was in the HIIT training area an hour before a class was supposed to start. April came over and very rudely told me I was not permitted to touch her equipment for the class and grabbed it and turned it back around as I was trying to apologize and told her I could do it. She ignored me and turned it back around and huffed off. I went over a few minutes later and calmly told her I felt she was I credibly rude about it and she stormed over to the front desk and started berating the front desk workers about how people are not allowed to touch her equipment. I think she was having a bad day, but this is definitely not the way to treat people, ever!

I hate crunch for many reasons.
1. My gym membership went from 9.99 to 17.99 without any notification.
2. There is never paper towels in any of the dispensers, so everyone leaves their machines dirty.
3 . Their facility is not safe. I never have cash, the one time I do, it gets stolen out of my wallet. If they cleaned the locker rooms regularly, this wouldn’t happen. People wouldn’t feel comfortable rifling through peoples things because no crunch employees are ever in there to maintain the locker rooms.
4. The faculty is always over crowded.
5. The floors are always dirty.
I could think of more if I had time.
Edit :11/11/24
The gym is completely out of paper towels again. There is nothing to wipe down the equipment. To me this is a health and safety risk. I asked the staff and they said they are out until their shipment comes the next day. Then why not send someone to Walmart for a few rolls of paper towels ????

Women’s bathroom is always disgusting. Also the club ran completely out of paper towels and is just letting members use dirty machines in their incredibly busy club. Three words: ringworm, staph, MRSA.
Fayetteville does have a Sam’s Club and several Walmarts. Surely this club makes enough off of inactive members to make sure the people who come have a clean club.
