Does anyone work here? I recently went to this gym to joi. Waited around for while and nobody was around to even answer my questions. I waited, and waited until someone who was just there asked if I need anything. I even called and got no answer. Submitted an online form and still got no answer. After going through the reviews its sounds like they are going through some tuff times. Honestly its a disappointment to experience the lack of communication from a gym that wants to charge you $79 monthly. I honestly hope they get it together.

No pool or hot tub or basketball court. Staff seems to be confused about the guest part of the membership one person says one thing manager says another no good communication between them. A few equipment broken most the time. $80 to much rather go to crunch or planet fitness

I'm 47 and this was the first time I'd ever gone to a gym, so no comparison data to give you. However, I will say this place was very nice, clean and the staff was very friendly. Wasn't very busy on a Wednesday night, but there are so many machines/areas that doesn't seem to be much of a concern anyway. Equipment was in good shape. Seems to be a very nice gym!

Used to love this gym, but it has really fallen off hard. They sold part of the building so they no longer have a pool or hot tub, the lockers in the downstairs men's locker room are either broken or unable to lock, and there are almost always machines not working. I might pay $20-$25 a month for it now, but they want $70 per month even after removing amenities like the pool, hot tub, basketball court, and racquetball court. Disappointing.

Cleanliness and staff are the highlights. But recently they sold off half of the weight machines and are letting the up stairs get hot. Even staff didn’t know what was happening. Was super disappointed when they just spread out the unused cardio ski machines in their place instead of new ones. Good luck getting a leg day on Monday.

Fitness One is a great gym, the only downside is the kids club. There have been 6 different days that I show up & there isn’t anyone to work in the kids club so I have to get my kids back in the car and go back home. It’s very irritating. Other than the kids club, I love the equipment & my time alone

Love this gym so far! The front desk staff is very sweet, the classes and instructors of the classes at outstanding, and a good variety of equipment. Only thing i wish could happen (which i know id far fetched), i wish we could ALWAYS bring a guest for free. It is so much more motivating to have someone to work out with, ESPECIALLY in classes. I also wish there were lunch classes offered (besides Friday Zumba). 💛🩷

I’ve been going to the Lowell gym for several months. Today Saturday Dec 14th; I went in and asked how much a bottle of water cost. The guy at the counter told me $2.50. I paid cash , then he ask if there was anything else I needed. I ask for a towel; he said towels weren’t covered on my plan but I could pay $7 more a month and I would get towel service.
I’m on the Silver sneakers plan . I am disabled. Worked over 40yrs of my life paying into a system. Fitness One, shame on you. Treating the elderly and disabled with such disrespect. I felt like a second class citizen.

I signed up online for the 3 free day pass, went to the location in person and they said they don't honor what’s on their website and wanted to charge me $15 per day.
As a business owner, I couldn’t imagine telling a customer that. Bait and switch.
So I went over to j street gym and had a badass workout. If you are deciding on a gym, go to J street instead!

Will be cancelling my membership soon. Misleading reviews. Getting people they know to post 5 stars. They recently deleted my past review about machines being down for almost 2 weeks and dumbbells that haven’t been replaced in over a year. They also recently removed half of the cardio machines upstairs besides treadmills. Most things are fixed by now but they will without a doubt break again. Happens monthly. Not worth $65+ a month.

I have worked out in many gyms in my 45 years of lifting. This is one, if not the best facility I’ve worked out in. Any way you want to exercise they have it. It’s spacious, clean, and well organized. The equipment is in great shape. The lockers rooms were clean. This place feels new although I’ve visited here several years ago. The staff I interacted with were very friendly, knowledgeable and were happy to help. They genuinely enjoyed talking to me and seemed happy in their work. If you are traveling or looking for a local place to work out locally, I highly recommend this place and it is very easy to find as well.

Antique equipment at fitness one.l. The stair masters are broken, treadmills are broken, a bench press for the past 3 months has been broken, broken sauna. Yes they have a pool but it has so much bleach its uncomfortable to swim in. I do not recommend fitness one seems like they raise their prices quarterly without your consent. Horrible experience at this gym, don't be fooled with how fancy it looks on the outside if their equipment doesn't even work. Zero stars from me.

I joined this gym specifically to attend some of their dance fit and yoga classes. As the months went on, not only did I noticed the restrooms and studios were often dirty and poorly maintained, but their prices rose and they charged extra, poorly defined fees. The last straw was when they eliminated their military discount. Disregard for the the men and women who serve our country is no way to save a buck. I canceled my membership; that was the final straw. I miss the classes but this gym is no longer affordable, and disrespectful to our people in service as well.

We were in town for the weekend and decided to work out at this gym. We were so impressed! Facility was large and roomy. Excellent selection of equipment. They seemed to have the entire line of Hoist roc-it, my favorite. It was very clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Poorly ran business!!! Gym and bathroom is always filthy. I pay $160 a month for a nasty environment so I expect not to have my water bottle covered in hair when I put it on the gym floor. At least 1 piece of equipment is always broke each time.I visit. The phone is never answered when a question needs to be answered even though they always have at least 2-3 employees working. I could go on and on but just know that when my contract is up I will go anywhere but this place.

Signed up for the free trial this morning at the Rogers/Lowell location after reading the reviews to check it out myself. They are all 100% accurate. Someone posted a review 8 months ago that included a picture of a stair master that was completely filthy. I’m confident I worked out on that exact machine this morning and should have taken a picture since it looks the EXACT same as it did 8 months ago. Walked around for a few minutes after arriving, looking for staff since no one was up front and the free pass states to check in when you arrive. I almost left considering I couldn’t find the stuff to clean the machines with but later found some wipes. Very few areas with wipes to clean machines and equipment. The downstairs weight lifting area smelled of sewer. Absolutely will not be returning or signing a contract. I’ve never had such an awful experience at a gym in my entire life.

Poorly maintained equipment, HVAC broken upstairs for over a year, steam room has been shut down for nearly a year, only one operational urinal in the upstairs locker room for over a month. The list goes on. I've emailed management, owners, and received responses of how they are planning to do wonderful things here. None of which have occurred in the past two years of my membership. Manager here really needs to be let go. It's clear they just show up and go straight to their office. Never tours the gym, doesn't use the equipment.

Garbage everywhere that stays for literally months. Steam room broke down for months, never bothered to clean it.

Towels always out. Stuff is broke. Weights disorganized. Staff is melancholy.

Most of the lockers don't work, and it wouldn't take much to fix em.

There's a reason a gym this big is only $60 a month. You get what you pay for. But I can't help think a gym manager who actually cared wouldn't turn this place around quickly.

We worked out here for 1 day as an out of towner. The staff was helpful and friendly. This is a great gym that has a huge variety of workout options (free weights, machines, yoga, cardio, etc...). They offer a 3-day free pass to try their place out. My son lives in Fayetteville and he works out here. He loves it. It is a great gym and I highly recommend it. My experience here has been up and down. Mostly down though since joining a few months ago I've noticed the staff couldn't care less about the conditions of the gym.. as they just sit at the front desk and throw balls against the wall or talk amongst each other. The equipment is poorly placed imo as there isn't much space between different work areas, basically exercising on top of each other. Broken equipment seems to be the theme for this location as well. The upside is it is a gym with lots of equipment variation for those who have a wide range of exercises. The environment is friendly and the music choices are solid. I'd recommend a trail before signing on with this gym. I hate to say it but Planet fitness is better as of now.

The repairs

to the Men's locker room took about a month and accomplished nothing. Wasn't even clean when I was there today. Previously the pool wasn't heated for an extended period and many things are not user-friendly in the wet areas.
Pool down again, and men's locker room not clean, steam room stinks, showers are low volume of water, and some are not functional.

I really enjoyed going to this gym for 4 years. I even canceled my membership at Planet Fitness to join Fitness One. But recently they had a billing software change and failed to charge me my monthly charge. And then decide to take what they were supposed to be taking out of my account in one big lump sum in one month. Without my authorization. I went and talked to them about this and decided to cancel my membership because of their billing issues. This is very unprofessional and not a good way to do business.

Gym is nice and has a wide array of machines and equipment. Only issue I've had in the 4.8 years of going was billing errors. The gym changed billing software and I was charged $2,000 l for my membership in one month. After a second billing error/over charge, I cancelled the membership. I just recently got charged again for my membership and I haven't been a member for nearly 2 months. I cleared the account before cancelling, so this is just another error.

I'm giving them 4 because there was a lot of confusion coming out of the customer service desk. Though the girls were new, i still didn't get calls or emails returned when i reached out about a membership. Apparently there was something with the person working the membership desk; no longer there.

However, I'm now officially signed up. The gym is quite nice. Basketball, racquet ball, a mezzanine for the walking/running track, pool; though I'm abit bummed that my 6 year old won't be learning to swim, must be 13 with an adult. They do have child care there as well, for an extra $15.00 a month.

It is currently 21 minutes after the gym is supposed to be open, multiple people in the parking lot still sitting in their car waiting for staff to arrive. Multiple people have left since there’s no telling if the gym will open today. For the amount of people they have working per given time there’s at least one station of wipes that always needs to be restocked and isn’t. The bathrooms barely get a look and the staff usually looks like they don’t even want to be there. For the amount of membership fees that the gym charges, it would be nice to have areas stocked. Now I see why this gym could not be 24/7 if they can’t even get their staff to open at 7am on a Sunday.

Update: Its Memorial Day weekend, no emails were sent out or notices posted inside or outside the gym. It was opened Saturday and I doubt 10-13 people who were waiting in their cars missed the memo.

Honestly I feel that this place is a rip off. It has the potential to be super great as it is a huge building and has nice equipment. However, I’ve never seen a single person wipe down their equipment after use. The bathrooms are always dirty and the gym just feels dirty in general. It is so incredibly crowded no matter what time of day you go.
It’s crazy that for how much you pay per month, it’s not open 24 hours.
I pay $20 a month at Planet Fitness which allows me to bring a guest and it’s open whenever I want to go, is SO clean and actually has friendly staff.

I joined Fitness One since I moved to NWA area, after surveying many of the other fitness centers.
Fitness One is the best by far.
At Fitness One I found everything I wanted in Fitness.
The trainers and the staff are amazing in many aspects.
Now nothing is perfect and I am not claiming that, but the quality of the classes they provide and the diversity of these classes I think is one of the success factors. Way to go!!!!!!!!!!

This is a great gym aside from one major thing. They allow a separate class to block off and use a large amount of space and equipment at peak hours. Before work hours, at lunch and after work hours. It is their Kokoon class. They randomly come put signs on different equipment everyday and then don't allow their guests to use it. They also use some of those things maybe 5 mins of the class but keep it blocked off for an entire hour. The trainer for that class will come ask you to move in the middle of your workout for the class when there is an empty large classroom that they don't utilize. I know I am not the only person to have issues with this. I am hearing of people leaving over this problem.

I really like the friendly staff and clean facilities. The pay per month with no contract is also a plus for people who move around a bit for work. The only downside or negative of this location is the relatively small area for free weights compared to machines and other gym features. Often the free weight area is uncomfortably packed while nearly every other area in the gym is near empty. Why do they not have more room for free weights when more people are interested in them? Who can say? Unfortunately if you work out at around 6pm 'ish this place is packed like a Mexican border checkpoint.

Stellar gym over all. For the price I would expect attention to details to be constant. I use cardio machines before I do anything in my workout. Almost always have sweat residue on them, I'm referring to the base of the machines where deep cleaning should be happening. The fitness balls have been underinflated for over 2 weeks, I advised 2 different staff members. I'll see today if I can incorporate them in my workout.
Like I stated, this place has it all! It's a beautiful facility...For the rate I pay, more attention to details would be appreciated.

I have loved this gym overall but I go to cancel my membership because of reason outside of control wish I didn’t have to. There is no way to cancel a membership without a manager to do it? Why isn’t there a manager here then? Very inconvenient and what are you actually paid to stand at the front for? I know you can add stuff to an account. If that’s going to be the rule should be a manager on duty at all times.

Great gym! I've been going to this gym for over two years now and enjoy the staff and the environment. I generally try to avoid the hours between 5:00 - 7:00 PM because of the rush, but beyond that, there is plenty of equipment, machines, and cardio throughout to find something to work on.

Nice gym good equipment staff seems pretty cool. I like the fact that they have antibacterial wipes all around the facility to wipe down the equipment so u dont have to bring your own.

Great gym. Huge. Has a lot to offer. Free weights, machines, indoor track. Only issue is price, but it's reasonable, just not cheap.

It's a nice modern gym, but a couple things that knock it down are:
The big TV screen (4 screens put together usually has a TV out and doesn't get fixed for a while).
The staff there quite a bit of the time are behind the counter on their phones. Sometimes there's no one there when I check in. Maybe they aren't supposed to be, but for the price I pay I'd like to at least be greeted. They could probably go around sanitizing equipment. Idk, but on the phone is probably not the expectation.
They have rules posted including everyone is required to have on close toed shoes on, but one of their personal trainers was working out in socks.
For some reason they have CNN playing on their tvs around their gym, do people want to see politics when working out?
Overall it's a solid gym but missing that little bit of excellence to take it over the top. Has just about everything you could want or need. Just don't go after work on Monday. It's crazy busy then, but pretty good numbers the rest of the week.

Facility has some good equipment and a little bit of something for everyone. Indoor pool and hot tub... wall ball.. high energy classes, child area and more. Music could use a little more energy. Overall a good choice

Nice gym with good machine and squat racks, pool and sauna. The fee/month is fair but not the $199 registration fee.
