We enrolled our son in Human Engineer Taekwondo with Master Lee just a few months ago, hoping for a positive alternative to video games and a place where he could grow at his own pace—nothing dramatic, he was already a good kid. What we got was life-changing.

Master Lee has unlocked a level of respect, focus, and confidence we didn’t know was possible. Our son now thinks before he acts, speaks more politely to everyone, and bounds out of the car excited for every single class—no complaints, no “I want to quit” like every other sport. He’s proud of every stripe and belt he earns because he’s earning them through his own effort, not competing against kids who are naturally better athletes.

The discipline, self-control, and pure joy he brings home after every session are priceless. Master Lee doesn’t just teach kicks and punches—he’s building better humans. If you’re on the fence, jump in. Human Engineer Taekwondo is one of the best decisions we’ve made for our son. Highly, highly recommend!

We enrolled our son in the after-school program about a year ago, attending two days per week. At a young age, he had been diagnosed with autism and was struggling with emotional outbursts, emotional regulation, and everyday communication.

To say this program has been life-changing would be an understatement.

Today, our son is calm, collected, and socially appropriate in ways we couldn’t have imagined a year ago. His maturity has grown immensely. He’s now confident, communicates clearly with others, and even sets personal goals—all things we once thought would take much longer to develop.

Much of this transformation is thanks to Jeeho and his incredible approach to teaching. His patience is unmatched, and he consistently emphasizes the importance of children discovering solutions for themselves. This encouragement of independence has truly resonated with our son, and we saw changes within just a few weeks. But the growth over the past year is undeniable.

We are beyond grateful for this program and for the guidance and care Jeeho has provided. It’s made a lasting difference in our son’s life—and in ours.

Our 10-year-old son joined Human Engineer Taekwondo just two months ago, and the progress he’s made has been incredible! He’s grown so much in confidence, focus, and respect — and today he proudly earned his yellow belt! 💛

Master Lee is an absolutely amazing instructor. He’s patient, encouraging, and truly cares about every student’s development. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful teacher and program right here in Hot Springs. I can’t recommend this school enough — it’s been such a positive experience for our whole family.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A life-changing experience for our son!

Our five-year-old son used to really struggle with discipline and confidence. He didn’t want to get dressed on his own, make his bed, or follow directions at home — honestly, he just wanted to do whatever he wanted to do. My husband and I decided to enroll him at Master Lee’s Human Engineer Taekwondo, and it has truly changed our lives.

The convenience alone was a blessing since Lake Hamilton buses the kids straight to the studio after school, but the transformation we’ve seen goes so much deeper. When we first came to observe, all the other kids were standing tall, paying attention, and showing respect — meanwhile, our little guy was rolling around on the floor like a monkey, completely uninterested. I remember thinking, “Oh boy, we have a long road ahead.”

Fast forward just eight weeks (only sixteen total classes!), and he’s a completely different child. He listens, focuses, and gives Master Lee his full attention — not because he has to, but because he wants to. Master Lee’s program trains the mind, body, and spirit, and you can tell he truly cares about developing strong character in each student. The lessons go far beyond martial arts — they’re about respect, responsibility, confidence, and perseverance.

I love that the kids are encouraged to be themselves, but they’re also held accountable. If they break a rule, they do push-ups. If they get hurt, Master Lee checks on them and reminds them to “take the hurt with the fun.” Those moments build toughness and emotional resilience — something our world needs more of.

We share 50/50 custody, and it can be challenging to instill consistent values when both homes are different. But Master Lee’s program has helped bridge that gap. Our son is learning that he is responsible for his own effort, success, and attitude — and that it’s okay to fail, because failing is part of growing.

When I first spoke with Master Lee, I just asked for help with emotional regulation, but what he’s given our family is so much more. Our son now comes home with a great attitude and says “yes, sir” and “no, ma’am” to adults — showing genuine respect without being reminded.

If you’re a parent wondering whether this program is worth it — it absolutely is. Master Lee doesn’t just teach Taekwondo. He builds leaders. He’s helping shape our son into a respectful, confident, and teachable young man, and for that, we are forever grateful. We parents can also learn a thing or two about Master Lee's teaching and philosophy!! Thank you, Master Lee and Mrs. Lee, for pouring into our children and making the world a better place!!

Our grandson has had good experience at Master Lee’s Human Engineer Taekwondo classes. He has improved his behavior at school, respect for others and his ability to focus has shown marked improvement. The environment is quite structured and the children are carefully taught personal responsibility. He will be continuing at Human Engineer with Master Lee.

I’ve had such a positive experience with the Human Engineer Tae Kwon Do after school program for my kids! From the very first day, I noticed Master Lee was welcoming, patient, and incredibly skilled at working with children of all ages and energy levels.

The classes strike a perfect balance between discipline and fun—my kids are learning focus, respect, and confidence, but they're also having a great time doing it. The progression through belts is well-structured and motivating, giving them goals to work toward and a real sense of accomplishment.

What I really appreciate is how Master Lee takes the time to encourage each child individually, helping them grow not just physically but also emotionally and mentally. The environment feels safe, supportive, and full of positive energy.

I've noticed a real difference in my kids’ confidence and ability to handle challenges. I highly recommend the Human Engineer to any parent looking to get their child involved in something active, character-building, and just overall awesome!

My son started Taekwondo here a year and a half ago. When he started he struggled with school work. Master Lee’s class helped him focus and work on thinking for himself. We have seen major improvements in his school work and his confidence. He has advanced to purple advanced belt which is his 9th belt. He really enjoys the class and the friendships he’s made. I truly recommend this class to anyone looking into taekwondo.

Master Lee is an outstanding Taekwondo instructor who goes beyond just teaching techniques. He create an environment where students not only develop their physical skills but also cultivate a strong mindset, discipline, and confidence. His approach emphasizes not just mastery of Taekwondo but also learning how to carry oneself with respect, resilience, and a positive attitude in and out of class.
What truly sets him apart is his ability to help students discover their own strengths and individuality. He encourages self-expression while reinforcing important values like perseverance, humility, and self-control. Every class feels like a lesson in both martial arts and personal growth.
If you're looking for an instructor who genuinely cares about their students’ success—not just in Taekwondo, but in life—Master Lee is the best choice.

We visited HE Taekwondo due to testimonials about how Master Lee worked with children struggling with ADHD to develop skills to manage daily life. After 5 months, my daughter has developed confidence in herself, understanding of goal setting, and pride in her accomplishments. Physically she is stronger and more flexible, and she sleeps well after practice.

The greatest Martial Arts studio to ever exist in our modern time. Going back to the original idea of Martial Arts being Mind, Body, and Spirit. I have watched Master Lee help many different types of children/adults.

HE Taekwondo is a great and heathy place to grow and mature. Whether you’re coming as a child or an adult, this place is easy to like and enjoy.

I have seen time and time again when Mr. Lee was presented a new student, before the end of the first class, any issues the student had (stress, adhd, anxiety, autism, etc., even layered issues), were identified and a plan with a method was created for that student. This has happened from kids to teenagers to adults.

If you are on the fence about joining, then I would like to suggest you take one month, and see what how life improves.

This place has been a life changer for my son with adhd and behavior problems. He has tried several different places like this before and not one of them even touches the amount of thought and effort Master Lee puts into his work. You can tell he truly loves every child that walks into that place. If a child is having a hard time he will spend the whole class making sure they get it all while teaching the other children at the same time. Ms. Lee, his wife is so sweet as well and they both work together to make sure the children have the best time there. They have an after school program and a summer program to offer as well. If you are having problems with your child and not sure where to turn or just want a place for your child to enjoy and earn a few skills I highly suggest taking them by here at least just to try it and you won’t be disappointed.
