My 3 sons have been learning here for a few years now. We love the instructors and it’s affordable for 1 on 1 lessons. We also enjoy the sparring opportunities every week. Master Mills really knows his stuff.

The self defense beginner class at Mong Su Dom Tai with Alyssa was so informative and practical for real world situations. Every time I left class each week I would feel more confident and capable of defending myself and others. This self defense class was kept small which created a comfortable atmosphere and opportunities for direct feedback from the teacher.

I attended a 6 week self defense course taught by Alyssa and it was a wealth of knowledge and action! I feel better prepared to protect myself and would highly recommend anyone looking for self defense and/or martial arts training to attend here! Everyone is professional and it’s a safe space with no judgement. It was nice to feel empowered and uplifted by everyone.

I took the beginner’s self-defense class at Mong Su Dom Tai, and it was fantastic. The class provided a great mix of practical techniques and real-world applications, making it both informative and engaging. Alyssa, our instructor, was excellent—knowledgeable, encouraging, and focused on helping everyone feel confident and empowered. Highly recommend for anyone looking to build self-defense skills in a supportive environment!

I took the 6 week beginners women's self defense class, and it was fantastic. The instructor, Alyssa, a 5th degree black belt, was friendly, informative, encouraging, and engaging. She and her co-instructor taught us usable, practical, and simple escapes, blocks, punches, kicks, and take downs. I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to build up confidence in a self defense situation.

Amazing experience so far. I'm taking their self-defense program with private one on one sessions. Ryan and Chris have been incredible instructors. I'm on week 10 and am planning to advance through all the levels they offer. Trustworthy, knowledgeable, and verified respectful individuals. Always professional, friendly, and compassionate with a dash of real perspective. Your confidence will increase, you will feel more capable and prepared for whatever the world throws your way. I've been able to get in touch with emotions and channel them into constructive skills and survival techniques. Passion comes naturally once you give it a shot. I put this off for too long! I highly recommend it, especially for women. Fight fear with knowledge!

Nice looking interior, loving the plants!
Instructors are all nice, they'll work with you in such a way that I feel like it's implanted into my brain.
Overall convenient location, however I'm hoping they get a bigger building soon.

MSDT has been an amazing experience. I started my son at age 8 to help him learn self discipline, respect, focus and how to protect himself. I soon after started my 12 year old daughter after seeing what all was being taught to my son. It’s beyond karate, it’s a relationship and a respect for self and others in addition to awareness and self protection. MSDT does private lessons which, for us, makes a huge difference. Master Mills is phenomenal, connected with my kiddos and cares beyond measure. Christun teaches my daughter most of the time now and every time we get in the car she says “I love her!”. The other instructors there are amazing as well to which my son always has something positive to say when we leave. My son is learning to throw stars now as well, which is cool to say the least. Mostly, it’s more a family than a “place of business” in my opinion.

Updated review after being a student for 2 years: MSDT offers martial arts training for people who want to learn how to defend themselves effectively, not just look cool. They have private lessons, so that training goes at the pace of each individual student, and makes for flexible scheduling. Sometimes families or couples will take lessons together, which offers a mix of a group class and a private lesson, and also allows them to save some money. I would recommend MSDT for any person regardless of age, gender, or fitness level, as long as they are serious about martial arts. Prices are good, considering you get a private lesson each week, and the option to attend Tuesday night group class at no extra charge. Master Mills is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about martial arts, and so are his instructors. Also if you are a nerd for ninja weapons, you learn a wide variety of them in MSDT as you advance through the belts. Awesome through and through.

Original review: Offers private lessons, prices are reasonable.
