Great pricing and equipment is well taken care of. This was a 5 star review but unfortunately planet fitness needs to make it more accessible poor people to cancel their membership over the phone or online. Charged about $200 or so throughout a year when my membership contact was already ended & when I asked for a refund I was denied even though I haven’t been to the gym there in a year. Customer service over the phone is pretty dry and unhelpful.

Stopped by Planet Fitness today to sign up. Easy enough — I didn’t need a tour, didn’t have any questions, just wanted to hand over my money and get a workout in. After giving them every piece of personal information short of my blood type, I was told that to become a member in the year 2025, I needed to provide my checking account number and ABA routing number. My what?!?

Yes, apparently we’ve teleported back to 1998, when people carried checkbooks... and dial-up internet was a thing. I haven’t written a physical check in a decade, but silly me — I assumed a fitness franchise with thousands of locations might accept this newfangled technology called a credit card. Or, perhaps, cash. Denied!

It’s honestly hard for me to fathom a business that exists where someone can walk in the front door, willing and able to pre-pay for a year's worth of service — no questions asked — and the people behind the counter are literally not willing or able to take that person’s money. Crazy to me.

So, I got in my car and drove 1/2 a mile to J Street Gym... where somehow they managed to sign me up without any hassle — no time travel, checkbook or memories of the Berlin Wall required.

So excited that I handed over my name, address, email, phone number to the folks at Planet Fitness -- I can't wait for them to start cluttering my inbox with endless spam, begging me to sign up.... Because nothing says “customer service” like harassing the person who already tried to give you their money.

If you’re nostalgic for the 20th century, Planet Fitness may just be the place for you. Otherwise, save yourself the headache and join literally any other gym.

Needs to accommodate mom's better! Was exercising while my little one was asleep in the stroller. It'll be different if I had kids running around the gym. They need to change that policy. New mom's gain weight to bring life into the world and cant hit the gym unless I have a babysitter. Put disruptive folks out, not people minding there own business quietly. I recently signed up because I'd ride pass and see mothers inside working out. One lady had her baby strapped to her walking the treadmill and one was in a stroller one evening & that inspired me. Hate I wasn't addressed upon arrival. Purchased a black card for nothing. Most people come with thier headphones, music ready anyway. Why bother someone on a mission? I was really diggin my new journey. My infant didn't come to use the equipment I did. This is so heartbreaking for me!

I've been to several PF across the country at this point and my least favorite are the gyms like this one. You've got too many things crammed into one space. I understand wanting variety for all your different type of gym goers, however, stuffed to the grill with equipment isn't always a win.

Absolutely love this gym! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a clean and welcoming atmosphere. The cleanliness adds to the overall positive experience. The morning atmosphere is energizing and sets the perfect tone for a great workout. What truly sets this gym apart is the incredible staff. Chloe and her crew stay on it, also keeping it safe. They are not only knowledgeable and professional but also incredibly encouraging. They make you feel like part of a fitness family, where you look forward to driving out of town just to come back home and work out with them and your friends. In fact, I often see the staff and fellow members more than I do some of my own family! 5 stars all the way on feeling supported, motivated, and part of a community. Most ridiculous place ever. You try to cancel your account and you have to go all the way to the first planet fitness you subscribed at then trying to get ahold of somebody on customer service you have to give your phone number and account information 4 different times. If you try to call them be prepared to be on the phone for about an hour. There are way better gyms where if you want to just cancel it’s not a hassle. I do not recommend this place to ANYBODY! And then she is charged a late fee of $45 the last 4 months saying she isn’t paying her bill even though it’s DIRECTLY taken out of her account. These people are crooks and will take more than what they’re suppose to take out

I have been to all of the planet fitness gyms in Northwest Arkansas. In fact, I have been to almost all of the most popular gyms in the area as well. The Bentonville location is by far the most welcoming, clean, organized, and well kept gym I have ever been to. The staff works diligently around the clock to ensure the cleanliness and organization of the gym. I have first hand had the luxury to be able to walk into the gym every day knowing you are getting the best quality and top-notch service. I appreciate this planet fitness for the hard work and dedication its staff has to making the gym an enjoyable part to my day. I would recommend this location 10/10 to anyone looking for a great place to workout.

Let me start out by saying there customer service support line SUCKS and they don't care about you or your concerns!
So I presented the questions if they warned customer of new tanning bed bulbs. I was told NO IT WASN'T important. Well it is important because the knowing person would go in for the full time with new bulbs!! I have a good base tan and went into a bed with new bulbs not knowing and FRIED!!

Never get a membership at any planet fitness because
1) They will send you directly to collections if your card expires without contacting you
2) It's impossible to cancel online or by phone. You need to write a letter or go in person to the club you started, even if you moved far.

Coming back after a long time off, I really like the new machines. Especially the timer and rep count, that AUTOMATICALLY resets between sets. That's genius. And the simplified directions on the machines help a lot too. What to adjust, and then two steps to use. Also, subtle differences, like with the leg press and calf press, you now move your body up, instead of pressing the plate down. Somehow, that seems better. Definitely like massage chairs. Even better than the hydromassage. I'm starting to look forward to a work out now!

I’ve been a member at this club for almost a year and a half. I tried to cancel, impossible without certified letter or in person. Also, they are charging me a $60 cancellation fee because I upgraded to black membership. Don’t fall for the cheap monthly membership. Between the annual improvement fees and the sign up fees and the premium usage fees you might as well go to a real gym and get real results. I’m headed to CHOP Barbell in Rogers for a simple fee structure, no contract, and no hidden expenses.

My son uses the gym for free during summer using their teen program. A personal trainer even met with him and they formed a plan. Staff is very nice and helpful. My son loves it that there is no judgement at all at this location, people at all different fitness levels go here.

I travel a lot for business, and it takes a lot to really impress me these days. Service and sanitation seems to be a thing from the past.
I have to tell you about my experience and Planet Fitness Bentonville Arkansas. I was so impressed by the cleanliness of this location and the organization and the floor plan layout. Every machine was represented and there was not one broken piece of equipment in the building, but the highlight of my visit, was the Greet that I got from the front desk agent Lexie she was so welcoming and so informative and so funny and so exciting, please don't change a thing with her, she was amazing.

I am from Palm Beach, Florida I am here for my sister's wedding and I was so impressed with my visit today. I look forward to coming back tomorrow, so I can feel even better for the wedding. Seriously,... great job Lexie.

Went to cancel my membership, in person, was told by the employee that it was cancelled + I wouldn't receive any more charges. Happened to notice a monthly charge + called customer service, they said my account was still active and cancelled over the phone, but denied me a refund because I didn't have "proof" I canceled in person. Not to mention the parking lot is a hangout spot for people to vape, play loud music, and block each other's cars in for fun in the evenings. Wouldn't recommend unless that's your ideal gym crowd.

I’m not typically the person to write reviews, but management and customer service sucks. I sent cancellation via mail over a month prior, then was told I was basically a liar by Reece McGee the “manager”. If you cancel an account please be prepared to continue to be charged. With 0 possibility of a refund. Also they did finally cancel supposedly but I’m sure they will continue to charge. Talking with numerous people and my bank I am not the first person that planet fitness has done this to. They are just here to steal. Very disappointed.

The thing o love is my trainer Erin. He is the trainer there. He will meet you where you are and set a plan with where you want to go. I was post ACL surgery PT over but needed to do more and he is there with me on my way to better health and fitness.

As I was visiting family and friends in Bentonville Arkansas I stopped into Planet Fitness. The staff was very friendly and the gym was nice and clean. There was ample cardiovascular equipment but a little lacking on the free weights. This was no problem for me but I can see where it might be an issue if the gym was really full. Overall this is a goid gym.
