Horrible experience, I opened a membership online went one day and got sick. They tried to charge my card a few days after opening the account just for them to double charge me because it was apparently late but it was only open 4 days! When I signed my membership paperwork. She didn’t explain any of that to me and just had me sign. So I called up there to try and figure it out and the manager was rude as hell and so condescending. She wouldn’t even let me explain that that wasn’t told to me she said it was in my contract and was just being rude. So I would never go to planet fitness with that rude woman being the manager.

Management promised new equipment and they delivered. Really enjoy the updated machines, smith machines, free weights (including squat racks). There’s virtually nothing missing from your workout here for the average gym goer, whether seasoned or new to the gym. 10/10 recommend to anyone considering.

2nd review: I love the update. I wish they would have kept the abdominal machine from the 30 minute workout area. The new ab cruncher feels like it will tilt over at any second. I think PF is moving away from being a beginner gym. It looks more intermediate. Love that they removed the lunk alarm. I’d definitely continue going because of the price and cardio equipment. Still extremely clean with amazing staff. Need a trainer, talk to Chris. He’s amazing!

I’m very disappointed with this remodel. Firstly, I don’t see anything on the app or website mentioning this remodel so the only way you’ll know is if you go to the gym and then you’ll learn you can’t get in. Then they have a tiny sign with the dates written in silver???? so you pretty much have to get out of your car and go up and read the sign which isn’t a big deal but it’s certainly not worth the inflated gym fee I pay. I expect at least a notice on the app, some sort of warning or notice, and a legible sign. whats the point of the app if you don’t use it to communicate notices like this? I’m also curious if I will be able to prorate my bill this month for the week I am not able to access the facilities but I am still being charged? kinda wack

We have joined and canceled the planet a few times. This last time we went one of the workers, as a matter of fact I found out today (the assistant manager and for good reason), said to us: "you know if you just stay with it for 6 weeks you will see a difference, don't kill yourself just start at a good pace." Well the second Monday I would have quit but I knew she would be there, and I recalled what she said. Sometimes I still have to give myself a black eye, but I always remember her advice! Thanks Dancy Daniel's, we made it past our six weeks!!! And still going strong ❤💪❤

Small gym missing a lot of the usual machines at most planet fitness. Only one dual cable setup, no incline hammer press, no pull down machine. Pretty regular machines to be missing if you ask me but only having one cable setup threw me off.

Just had an awful experience today, it was very upsetting and discouraging. I only get paid once a month towards the end of the month. Everyone’s fees come due on the 17th. I’m late every month a few days but nothing serious. Usually everyone is super understanding but today 04/21/2024 7:36am an older gentleman followed my husband into the bathroom to tell him that I could not come back until I paid my fees. When I tried to explain to him the situation he blankly stared at me and repeated himself. None of the other employees have ever done that to me and I have been coming for a good bit now. Everyone is normally very nice. The lady today even told me that it was okay that she’d write I note on my account for me. I’m truly upset by this. It has ruined my experience here.

I can't stand it when these locations close so early. I travel for work and I don't get off work early enough for a good workout. The main reason I signed up for this franchised gym is the promise that all locations are 24/7. But closing at 10 and 8 on the weekends? Lazy and pathetic.

Probably THE nicest PF I've ever visited and I travel across country. Large showers with dual shower heads. Sinks that angle so the water doesn't pool on the counter. Changing room has shelf, chair and hooks. Need rubber mats outside of showers but otherwise awesome PF. Good job. Wish all could be like you!

I love my planet fitness. I have never had a bad experience there, ever. I sometimes do wish they stayed open a little later in the weekends but other than that I don't have anything bad to say. They make it such a hassle to just cancel your membership and their customer service, if you can even reach anyone, is a joke. After all of that and still going into the gym and cancelling my membership, I was still charged my annual fee, which was not even due until the next day (and a different month!). Please save yourself the time, money, and frustration and find a better gym locally where the staff can actually help if you ever have any questions.

Updating my review after a year of membership.

The gym is always clean. There is plenty of room for everyone to workout. There are tons of options for cardio. There is an area just for stretching and flexibility training. The employees are friendly and seem to genuinely care about their members' experience at Planet Fitness. I've consistently gotten an effective workout over my one year as a member and seen significant gains in strength, flexibility, and endurance. I would like to see more free weights, specifically barbells and heavier EZ bars as I continue to grow at Planet Fitness. I had the opportunity to discuss that with the club manager. He listened attentively and I felt like my one and only concern would actually be acted on as soon as reasonably possible. It's been a great experience. It's easily the best gym in my area.

One of the better PFs I've been to, this one had a bunch of treadmills packed in facing a wall of televisions tuned in to different channels. Great to get in a bit of calorie burning while watching some of the talking heads. Then a run through the thirty minute workout circuit before stopping in the showers.

Very nice shower area with a shelf for stuff while getting clean. Outside the shower, a changing stall with chair and mirror. I am looking quite fine now!

Absolutely everything!!!!! I love everything about planet fitness. All of the equipment is new state of the art and it gives you the right amount of work out that you need for whatever you’re wanting. If you want to lose weight, build muscle, maintain your current weight or just firm up whatever muscle you have they’ve got it if you want to work on your tan you can.. they have it all. And if you ask a question, they will be honest and upfront with you they’re not gonna sugarcoat anything they’ll tell you how it is plain and simple. They may apologize for not having a better answer for you, but they tell it to you straight forward and honestly and I like that.

They charged my account without me knowing they would I put my debit card as my primary payment not my account number and I keep it locked I been to this gym once and never been back so you would think after them not successfully charging your card they would close it nope they took my money I had for medication for my 6yr old daughter nobody cared we don't do refunds I wasn't aware they wouldn't give me a refund idc how many times you say it's in writing the staff setting up the membership should make it clear what to expect when it comes to a refund

I came by today to the Jonesboro, Ar. Location as I am from out of town and absolutely love all the facilities I’ve used in many different places I have traveled. But, Jonesboro employee was just standing on phone and would not assist me at all. Even after she was done chatting about her plans for the night…. She still would not assist me And their was only two people in the place on machines so it wasn’t busy at all. I just left as I don’t want to be somewhere I’m clearly not wanted. I don’t know her name but, she certainly doesn’t fit the standards of which I’m used to having for workers in PF Like I said I have never had any issues at other PF Dark headed girl working in Jonesboro is just plain rude.

It is amazing how disgusting some people can be. Just today there was a white couple bouncing around from machine to machine. They didn't unrack any weights or wipe down any machines. The staff didn't say a word and never have. In the times we all live in you'd expect better, but no. Most regulars don't clean after themselves and the staff don't help the problem. Looks like the easiest job in the world. Standing behind the desk on their cell phones 24/7.

We have been absent for a while now due to our crazy work schedules.... But we can't wait to get back in there and start our fitness routine once again. The tanning beds, the hydromassage, the ability to bring a buddy with you if you are a black card member at such a reasonable price is what sets Planet Fitness aside from all the other gyms we have tried out. Not to mention how it is a judgement free gym, with no feelings of insecurities. That's so important in our world today! I wish I could give you guys a 10 star rating.

I’m have been to multiple planet fitness locations across the country for the past 10 years. I like PF as a gym. It’s cheap and has the basic equipment I need. This location however is the most poorly ran I have ever been to. They consistently have problems (which understandably happens) and rarely have solutions. I won’t say all the staff are rude because that is not true. Some are nice and helpful. But most of the staff are rude, passive aggressive, and harassing. Plus, the hours are not accommodating. In short, I consistently have a bad experience here. Working out is challenging enough. Shouldn’t have to deal with that sort of staff.

Edit: as I’m reading the other reviews it’s more of the same. The staff sucks over here. Don’t take my word for it read the other low reviews. The staff has a bad attitude.
