Pulse is great! My boyfriend and I have been members for over two years and love the staff. Chris is the best and is so friendly to everyone. We always feel welcomed. We go several times a week. The best part about Pulse is that we are on the plan that discounts your rate for attending 12 times a month. This is such a great motivator. This gym is such a scam. Refused to let me cancel my membership even though I moved three and a half hours away. Been trying to cancel since I moved almost a year ago and still haven’t done so. Now I’ve been set to collections for almost $300 because I refused to pay them due to them not canceling my membership. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I had a gym membership here for a little bit but then I switched gyms. I called to cancel my membership in December spoke to a lady in customer service who told me exactly that “my membership has been cancelled now and I won’t get anymore charges for the new year.” Well after I notice that my account had been getting charged still I called the office in Benton and they said they can’t do anything and won’t reimburse me my money but that I should call their billing and talk to them. I called them and was told that the worker I spoke too originally did not in fact cancel my membership as I asked but instead just left a comment stated “customer called at X time and canceled membership.” So my membership never got canceled as originally planned but I also never got my money back from the 3 months that it charged even though I had asked the main office in Benton and their billing regarding it. The gym itself isn’t that bad other then broke. Equipment but I definitely don’t recommend it because you could very well get screwed as I did.

I was a member for a year. Machines are regularly broken down with a cheap handwritten piece of paper taped to it instead of a professional looking sign saying out of order. Plus, their tanning beds stayed broken down off and on...holes in drywall that need patching and their tv's are small and horribly outdated, and they don't even have basic cable like ESPN. I was very disappointed and didn't even go my last 6 months even though it was paid. They would not let me out of my contract, and that really ticked me off.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the experiences I have had at Pulse Premier Fitness. Since starting my membership on February 2, I have been charged three times, totaling $210 for what was supposed to be an annual fee of $70. Additionally, I was charged an unexpected $60 on February 20, which I find completely unacceptable, especially since my monthly membership should only be $7. From February 2 until today, March 12, they have charged me a total of $270.

Despite my attempts to resolve this issue, they have refused to refund me for these unexpected and unexplained charges. This lack of transparency and customer service is incredibly frustrating.

I strongly advise anyone considering a membership at Pulse Premier Fitness to think twice before making that decision.

Let me just be the one to say, if any of you are considering a gym membership with pulse…. DONT!!!!!!!!! I’ve repeatedly called them trying to cancel this stupid membership for a year and they kept telling me I need to wait until March 5th to cancel. Woke up this morning to two charges on my card for a membership I DONT WANT ANYMORE. Then they tell me there’s nothing they can do and I need to call their third party company who tells me I need to call them back. They finally give me a website to use to cancel and it tells me it’s going to try to charge me another $37 to cancel! THEY REFUSE TO REVERSE THE CHARGES. Finally, I end up doing what I should have done last year and cancelled my card and disputed the charges with my bank. When I went into the gym physically the manager ran out the back door! That place is a joke!!! If you’re trying to cancel your membership please just go ahead and cancel your whole card instead and save you the headache!

This place is a joke. It’s never clean. The tanning beds are always down. The hydro message bed is permanently broken. Had my ear buds stolen & management just said, “This was the 3rd pair reported in a week”. I’ve seen couples go into the tanning beds together. I’ve watched management allow clients to tan back to back. In addition to members vaping in the gym, I’ve also seen members bring non-paying patrons with them to workout, which is just unsafe. Do not give your money to this place. Staff is extremely rude. My friend came in with me 20 minutes before they were set to close to get signed up for a membership, the guy at the counter looked at him and before my friend said a word, said “what?” then when he asked to sign up for a membership, the guy told him he had to come back during staffed hours, we told him we thought staffed hours were until 8pm. When we asked what staffed hours were he told us to google it because he wasn’t sure… On top of that, my wife and I went to cancel our memberships, and of course they give you the run around. What started with a phone call turned into a 30 minute wait just to be told I had to send a simple email. 30 minutes of my time wasted when all I had to do was send an email. When my wife called to cancel her membership, she was told she had to set up an account and fill out a form through some website they sent her to. I had her go ahead and fill the form out but I also had her send the same email that I was told to send. The form she filled out must not have mattered because we never heard anything back about that. But, the email I had her send was responded to. They tried to tell her she had to buy out her contract, which she should not have had to do that since we had been with that gym for over a year and were told we were on a month-to-month contract after the year was up. Needless to say, she spent well over an hour getting her cancellation finally situated… Please, do not waste your time or money with this company or terrible staff.

Major improvements have been made in last few weeks at Pulse. Cleanliness of entire gym has drastically improved. On-site Manager, Chris, is available, has positive, upbeat attitude and is quickly responsive to any questions or issues that arise. I see Chris all over the gym constantly and he has turned the whole gym into a place where I feel welcome and safe and am able to have great workouts!

I signed up for the rewards program for my wife and I. $1 down and $5 a month. No. They forgot to tell me that since I signed up a couple days before the new month that they were going to “pro-rate” me for the whole previous month for both of us. So now my bank account is minus $70. And the only answer I get is that that can’t do anything about it. More like WONT do anything about it.they are charging me and my wife , separately for a whole month that we were never there. And refuse to help us with a refund or any type of credit towards our membership. These are hard times for some of us and Pulse has shown it’s true colors.

its a great gym until you want to cancel. I had to call a 3rd party financial service to cancel, where they collected WAY too much personal information, and then told me I had to give sign a release form and give pulse a 30 day notice, meaning that they would draft me again. This all happening during the 2020 pandemic, along with the fact that none of the teenagers working at pulse have a shred of customer service skills, has made this experience a nightmare. Not only will I go to the media, but I am going to be very evangelical to make sure everyone I know, understands my experience.

Went to cancel my membership because I moved. Staff at the location referred me to the 800 number to cancel. Spoke to several different people regarding my cancellation. First person told me they required a 10 day notice. Second person said I had to send a written letter requesting the cancel. Third person told me I had to go online. After several weeks of this I was finally told by their financial third party that the membership was cancelled. They then took out another payment. When I called the location on why this payment was taken out they referred me back to the 800 number. Really like the gym and the atmosphere....BUT.... There is always something needing fixed or products/drinks needing filled in adding to that the products/drinks offered are not even healthy. I was hoping more classes would be offered but there has only been one since I joined the gym. On top of that, I joined because I wanted to attend a bootcamp and I have yet to receive a tshirt from completing the camp. The lights in the gym have been flickering for weeks and have yet to be fixed.

Thought this would be a great place since it looks very decent to go too. Was just going for one month tanning because I’d be moving the next month. Told them it would just be a one time purchase and it is now on the next month and I’m charged again. I called this morning and they answered quickly. Told them i was being charged and it was only a one time purchase and told me to go to the myiclubonline to cancel. Said that if i just wanted one month they should have cancelled it the same day because it takes up to 30 days before charging again. Which they knew and still did not cancel after i told them for a one time purchase only. Nor did they give me the information so that i would know to do it myself. Also gave me a number to call to get my refund and i talked to three different people and they all told me that the club would have to call, not me. Now it has been 3-4 hours and they still will not pick up the phone. This is very childish. If i could give them no stars i would. Just a heads up you have to cancel 30 days ahead or they’ll charge you for another month. Called again, day 2, for a refund and they took my phone number and said the manger/boss would call me later to let me know the refund went through. Never got a call. Called this morning and told me they couldn’t do anything about it(which they could, all they have to do is call the tech that they made me call and tell them to refund me.) But of course they won’t because who wants to give money back. Thanks for scamming me:) Would definitely not recommend if they are not going to give out all the information when signing up. The equipment is all top notch Nautilus, Troy, etc and the fact they have unlimited lay down and stand up beds all for the same price is unheard of! Pros: A great price ($10/month) compared to most other gyms and it is nice that it is 24 hours. Staff is friendly and not overcrowded in the mornings before work. There is plenty of cardio equipment and some really nice treadmills. The pool and hot tub would be nice to use if you have a premium membership ($20/month) but you can only use it when the gym is staffed. Since I work out in the morning before they get in at 8am, I will not pay for the service. Hopefully, this can change in the future!!

Cons: A lot of the benches and machines could stand to have the covers redone because they are tearing apart. There is a section of floor by the bench presses that is about 3 inches lower than the rest of the floor and it makes you trip all the time in that area. The water fountain is not convenient to fill up your shaker bottle. They could put in a new fountain that is made to fill up bottles! The showers have a soap dispenser but they do not keep soap in them so you have to bring your own. The pool hours are not convenient for everyone. It could stand to have better upkeep and maintenance to keep things looking sharp but nothing major.

Summary: I will up the stars if the pool hours can be changed, soap dispensers stocked in showers, new fountain, and floor leveled out. Top that off with better upkeep and you would earn 5 stars!!!!
