It's taken me a while to write this review because I have so much I want to say....

I've been attending the adult dance classes at RCDC since October-ish and I can’t say enough good things about this studio and the incredible instructors. Every single class I take is thoughtfully designed, engaging, and just pure joy. The vibe here is so welcoming, supportive, and fun - it’s the kind of place where you walk in smiling and leave grinning even bigger.

First, tap with Hannah is my absolute favorite. She is SUCH an incredible tap dancer, but beyond that, she’s an amazing teacher. Every class is the perfect balance of challenge and familiarity - she tweaks moves and combinations just enough each week to keep us on our toes (literally) while building confidence and skill. I have an ear-to-ear smile on my face every single class.

Lauren, one of the newer teachers, has also been a fantastic addition. She’s funny, prepared, and really responsive, making class feel both comfortable and exciting. Honestly, Lauren is a star! She fits right in with the studio’s already amazing energy.

Movement with Joseph is a hidden gem - think all the fun of a school gym class, with a little bit of physical therapy, and a total brain workout all rolled into one. I didn’t expect to love it as much as I do, but now it’s a weekly must for me. And yoga with Megan? Chef’s kiss. It’s so calming and validating. I leave every class feeling peaceful, relaxed, and just genuinely happy.

Long story short: Rock City Dance Center is an absolute treasure. The instructors are top-tier, the class offerings are creative and well thought out, and the whole atmosphere is just unbeatable. If you're looking for a place to dance, move, and be part of an amazing community, this is it. I feel so lucky to have found it!

I’ve had two kiddos in dance here. Both hip hop, but one girl and one boy.
The teachers are great! They bring a lot of energy and stay patient (hip hop with 3 year olds boys!!). The recital is amazing. Every single detail is thought out. We absolutely love it here!

Kristen Pittman will meet your dancer where they're at and then provide a challenging, positive skill set for them to work towards! Her studio is beautiful, she is upbeat, positive and challenging! Kristen truly wants dance to flow through the veins of any kid who wants dance to be a part of their story! 5 stars!

Everything about RCDC is first-rate. Having never been involved in dance any time in my life until my daughter started about a year ago, I was kind of shocked by the prices of the camps and classes. It's not like I needed to take out a loan or anything, but I just thought "How much could we really get out of dance classes? I mean, it's just a short class once a week or a day camp one week in the summer... is it really worth it?"

If you are in the same boat as I was, then please take my word for it that having your child join RCDC is worth every penny. I am blown away with the attention to detail and thought put into every aspect of the family's experience. Whether its the many monitors that allow you to watch your dancer practice while also giving them space to be independent, to the incredible costumes and set design for the recitals, to the integration of older dance students working alongside the younger students and passing on what they've learned... it's all so rewarding for my daughter (and almost as rewarding for me, too!)

When you sign up your child with RCDC, you get so much more than just an after-school activity; it's helping your child grow and challenge themselves in new ways. I would whole-heartedly recommend RCDC to any family who has a child interested in dance.

One area I think could be added, and I'm honestly not sure if it's available or not, is a class/camp geared around set, costume, lighting, and program design. RCDC has flawless recitals, and I bet there would be a market for older students looking to get into the behind-the-scenes aspect of the recitals. Just a thought!

My daughter has been dancing here for a few years now, and we love it! She started taking recreational classes and now just finished her first year doing competition. Rock City provides a strong, positive environment for dancers. All of the teachers care, encourage, and uplift in a way that inspires growth.

Took the Monday night adult class and it was great! I haven't danced in several years and I know the teacher so I asked her if I could just work on the basics myself and told her I don't really need corrections for now and she was happy to oblige It was a chill class with piano covers of great show tunes, super fun! Great class to dip your toes back into ballet!

I called to ask if the hour class was just a barre class or dance as well. Was told not just barre, center as well. That was misinformation. I thought an hour was way too short for a class. But once in the class I realized it was 58minutes too long. Couldnt wait to be done with the class. Terrible instruction. Get a better class on YouTube. Seeing the teacher is non enthusiastic and offered zero personal corrections. Exception being the skinny pretty girl. Obviously the priority. Felt bad for the two non skinny girls they were dedicated to the class. She didn't even remember who they were nor correct them. Poor things. But for real top two most boring ballet classes I have ever been to. Bad music, bad teaching, teacher seemed to just want to pass through class. But who knows maybe thats the Little Rock personality, unamused simply passing by in life

The staff is really attentive to the dancers needs. My family loves Rock City for a multitude of reasons. First, their classes start and end on time. The costumes that they order are well made. Rock City doesn't schedule all of their five year olds for the same performance...If you've ever had to sit through 6 three year old recitals, you will know why this is a blessing. I like that buying an ad in the recital book is optional and that I'm not required to sell candy bars (or whatever) for my daughter to have an opportunity to dance. We also love that there isn't a ballet 'dress code' for the recreational classes. Many families here have children that take multiple classes during the week. They have dressing rooms, snack areas and a study room. My last reason why I love this dance studio is that they have the video cameras so you don't have to interrupt the dancers by peering in the doors' windows.

Daughter loves it here! It's truly her second home. :) She loves dancing, and I can think of no better place than RCDC for her to continue to learn and grow! The staff is great and cares about each student, and the facility is absolutely top notch. It's amazing to see how much RCDC has grown in the 6 years that we have been part of this family. Such a great asset to Little Rock!

This is my daughter's third year at Rock City Dance Center. Each year she wants to do more and more dancing because she has had such wonderful experiences with the RCDC family. She loves her teachers and her friends there. The atmosphere is really positive and allows her to learn and grow - not just as a dancer - but as a self-confident little girl.

We LOVE Rock City Dance Center! We've been apart of the RCDC family for a year now, and couldn't imaging being anywhere else.
