Irving is an amazing trainer!
He tailors work outs to your specific goals, strengths, and areas of improvement, all while making you feel great about it. He set me up for success for a physical test I was preparing for, and with his help I crushed it! My wife and now some of our friends also go to him, and all have positive experiences.
Before going to him, I would drag my feet and dread going to the gym, but now it's an event I anticipate! As I'm writing this review I want to get back there. Hahah.

I highly recommend for anyone looking for a fitness experience tailored to their individual health needs. As a heart patient, I needed specific requirements. Irving (trainer) and 1on1 Trainer (gym) delivered them with amazing results.
Tailored Training Plan - From day one, Irving took the time to understand my goals and health limitations. He adjusted the workouts in real time to accommodate my needs—something I haven’t experienced at other gyms.
Safe Environment - 1 on 1 environment provides a supportive and non-judgmental environment, making it an ideal place for those who might feel overwhelmed in a typical gym setting.
Whether you’re recovering from injury, managing a chronic condition, or just want expert guidance tailored to your body, Irving delivers results.
Personal History - I have been working out with Irving 5x per week for 3+ years.
Proudest Achievement - Started with zero (0) pull up. Within 1 year, Irving helped in achieving 10+ pull-ups (with my heart condition!!!)

Irving is a knowledgeable trainer who listens and observes well. His calm manners instantly puts you at ease. He knows just what you need and both encourages and pushes you without ever being overbearing. I would recommend him for any level of training, but he was particularly helpful for my beginner/injury prone level.

I’ve been working with Irving for about 9 months and it’s been an amazing experience. I started with Irving having not great form, a lot of raw strength, and a whole lot of limitations from a past injury. He listened to my goals and what I wanted to achieve and we worked towards that. He helped me find ways to adapt the big moves I wanted to do & work around my limitations while still working to strengthen/balance them. I’ve gotten significantly stronger since working with Irving, but more importantly, my form is infinitely better and I haven’t had any injuries working with him! Very knowledgeable trainer who values safety and can help you achieve your goals if you’re willing to invest the time and effort. If I wasn’t moving away, I would be training with him indefinitely.

My husband and I have been going to Irving’s gym for almost 5 years. Irving is an amazing trainer. My husband sees him regularly and he has helped him maintain a routine of working out that he can stick to. Irving holds you accountable and feels like a friend pushing you along, not just a trainer.
I workout at home but see Irving 1-2x a month to have him check my form and test my weight limits to ensure I’m progressing. Before supplementing my at home workouts with Irving I stayed in a lower weight range and was doing more cardio/strength moves. Irving gave me a program that has helped me build more muscle, lift heavier weight and just feel stronger all around.

I have been training with Irving for the past 5 months and cannot speak highly enough for the work and dedication that he puts into helping people reach their fitness goals.
Before working out with him I had very limited experience in the gym and mobility issues which made a lot exercises difficult or impossible. Irving always had solutions and ways to help me work around those issues and over time my mobility and strength increased to the point I was able to squat and deadlift properly again.
Over the last 5 months Irving has helped me out with not only my form but also with building muscle and increasing my range of motion/mobility. The best part about having him as my trainer is that he really listens to my individual needs and goals and makes adjustment accordingly.
The one reservation I initially had was about the space which is on the smaller side and not filled with equipment like your typical gym. However all the necessities are there and Irving does a great job of maximizing the space.
Finally and most importantly of all it is one of the most affordable options for private training in San Diego!
Regardless of your age, experience and goals 1 on 1 trainer and Irving can definitely help you on your fitness and health journey!

Irving is a great personal trainer. Communication between sessions is great! He cares about your fitness goals and checks in with you throughout the week. He varies the workouts so it never gets boring. He pushes you hard but knows your current fitness level and pushes you enough to get better. Definitely recommended.

Irving is a great personal trainer, he keeps you motivated with his encouragement and humor. He is knowledgable and the equipment is just what you need for a full and challenging workout.
If you have never had the pleasure of a personal trainer due to the expense and fear of intimidation I strongly encourage you to give Irving a chance. We have made great progress and the price can’t be beat.

Irving is a great motivator. Every session we work on something different. It helps to keep me on my toes. He does a great job of pushing you to your limit, without having you immobile the next day. I’ve been training with Irving for 10 months now, and would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for a personal trainer. Not only is he affordable, he’s super flexible, and will keep you accountable.
I was never into lifting weights because I thought I would get bulky, but that was exactly what I needed to really see results and transformation in my body.
I really like that Irving personalizes and mixes up my workouts each time. He’s able to motivate and challenge me to give each exercise my all and to get me to push just a little bit more than I think I can.
I’m super happy with my progress so far, I went from size 8-10 pants down to size 4 and from a 34B bra to 32B. Not only have I leaned out, but I have finally have muscle definition in my arms, back, legs and abs.
So many more good things to say, but if you’re interested, you should just sign up and see for yourself!

I’m glad I found 1on1 trainer, the most affordable trainer I’ve found yet!! so many great things about this place. The trainer is very knowledgeable with building strength and conditioning workouts , just started about a month ago and I already see a difference in my muscle tone , mood, energy levels.

This is my first time hiring a trainer so I was a little nervous but one of the best choices I’ve made yet..the best thing I enjoy is weight training with trainer Irving I’ve seen my shoulder definitely get bigger and I’m overall getting stronger and how well he switches up the routines and keeps it fun.

I've brought my friends to work out with me and to the boot camps he does, because I want everyone to know how great he is.
I've never been bored with a workout, and I always feel like I accomplished something new after I leave one!

Love this place! Love that you can pay by the session without a contractual commitment and that it's a personalized training session focused on my individual needs away from the eyes of other spectators. Great for those who hate working out in front of other people. Irving is an awesome trainer too - motivates you and listens to what areas you want to focus on. Definitely recommended.
