front desk employee on 24th around 11pm i believe his name wan donovan was being very disrespectful as well as avoiding to answer questions that i was asking about my buddy membership. walking into the gym they asked for my id and held it until i left saying it was for my completion of my profile. on the way put donovan got argumentative with me refusing to returned my id unless i paid for a long term membership. when i asked for a receipt he just ignored my question and continued to argue. i relayed that earlier that day i registered and paid for a membership with a promotional deal but he just continued to argue with me and would not return my id unless i paid. i ended up just paying again and brought it to the morning staffs attention.

all in all very unprofessional and did not appreciate getting coerced into paying for a premium membership and being hassled.

What an absolute dump, crap everywhere. Missing weights and dumbbells, some broken which is a HUGE safety risk. Employees at the desk dont even greet you or say goodbye. I thought 24 hour fitness couldn't get any worse until I visited this location. I'll need to raise my reviews of the other locations because this one is way worse. Id give negative stars if I could. I had to leave halfway through my workout and drive to another location.

The Restrooms are GROSS …. I wish the health department would shut this location down so they would have to do something about it.

Only one urinal works and there’s constantly pee on the floor which gets tracked into the pool area.

This is definitely a corporate issue.

The staff is nice but their hands are tied as far as fixing the place up according to what they have told me.

The cleaning crew, a whole 3 people, never at the same time and that are there only in the morning/early afternoon do the best they can, but they are just not there enough. They need 24/7 cleaning service.

The equipment is decent but the dumbbells are starting to go missing. If it wasn’t so close to my house I’d change gym memberships. Seriously considering switching to the new Crunch Fitness opening in Anaheim soon.

If you’re looking to get a gym membership, get one somewhere else.

It's amazing how much money 24 hr Fitness makes a year, yet every one I've been in around southern California is trashy as all hell... Broken equipment, trash everywhere, sanitizer and paper towel dispensers are always empty, locker rooms are always trashed and dirty. Everyone clowns on Planet Fitness but at least their employees work to keep it clean and functional. I'd feel pretty embarrassed to be a 24 hr fitness manager in any location around Southern California

Sometimes in afternoon after work or before. Lately I’ve notice how much different the morning cleanliness compared to the afternoon. I complimented Ron for a job well done and how clean the gym smells. Definitely be working out in the mornings at this gym

Karla is the best . I thought she was the Manager because she is on top of everything. She is so spot on and the energy that she brings to the place. So pleasant and always says good morning or have a nice day or goodbye . She acknowledges everyone. The place is clean then before. There is a cleaning guy and he’s there all day every day and he is such a hard worker. I never seen anyone like him. And he do not stop and chit chat. He is on it. This gym is very cheap. They have not upgraded their machines in years, and recently they have forced members to turn in their ID’s in order to obtain a pin to use their machines.

I would understand if the gym were in better conditions, and if they were trying to take care of better equipment but sadly no.

The management even bought “replacement” pins (bolts from the nearby Lowe’s) which could’ve been used to replace the floor pins in the first place. Not only does using incorrect equipment pose a safety concern, as these bolts are not certified to handle heavy weight, but it’s just cheap. They didn’t even want to buy real replacements.

[ edit: they have replaced the pins on the machines after about 2 months ]

This issue only started because the management never replaced the pins in the first place, so people started stealing them because they got desperate. If staff or cleaning crews were on the floor more, rather than flirting behind the counter, people would also feel policed enough not to steal equipment. Much equipment is missing, I admit, but the previous statement would solve the issue.

The gym always smells like unclean rubber and a bit like feet and I’ve only seen maintenance personnel seldomly (mind you, I workout regularly here. Unfortunately, their locker rooms are worse, as the men’s urinals are always full of urine because they do not flush correctly. The sauna and steam room could also use more regular hose downs.

If a health official came to this gym, they would notice it’s a public health disaster.

Absolutly horrible staffing here.. as well as practices.. Tried to start a 3 day pass to try out the gym, and was told I have to make an appointment first. I asked if I could do that right now, and was told I'd have to wait a week as it would be on their time, even though I was already pulled into a cubical and being given the sales pitch. I asked if this conversation could count as an appointment, since we were already going through the motions, and I was still told no... Thanks Donivan..

Theres nothing on the website about appoinments, and even when I called back later and spoke with Angela about what the appointment would be about, considering I already received the sales pitch and was signed in as a guest, she got made and almost yelled at me over the phone that "the 3 day pass is for people who actually want to try out the gym"...

Apparently filling out the form online, then filling out a form in person, and having what seems like an appoinment, isnt a person interested in trying out the gyme...

If I'm going to be treated like a criminal before I've even done anything, I don't think this gym is for me.. and quite frankly, I dont think the staff here has any interest in providing a 3 day pass withouth first trying to bully you into a membership.. If your going to offer it, than you need to fufill it... I will be emiling coporate too.

Manager Gigi refused to let her in because they have a new updated which I never saw before that we have to take an appointment fo a guest pass. I told her we are here already and we can do registration there, but she was weird and racist maybe because my friend was hejabi and she gave me her back while I was talking to her. It is unprofessional and weird to treat a member infant of guests this way.
