A very inviting gym with members from all ages! I love seeing the 65+ be so active. I signed my parents up a few years ago and daily attendance has greatly increased their quality of life, not to mention their health. Staff are super sweet and helpful (especially Josue). My parents love it here, as there are a lot of activities including classes, pool, and sauna. Folks are friendly and respectful. Would highly recommend.

This location is awful. Almost all of the machines are broken/out of order and the place is always filthy. The bathrooms are never clean and I have found vomit in the women's locker room sinks twice now. Obviously not the staff's fault, but it's still disgusting. Go to a different location.

I came in for a free trial and the staff was actually really nice, so no complaints there — but the gym itself is just awful. It’s filthy: the floors are sticky and covered in dust and grime, and I could see sweat and dirt on several machines. Half the equipment doesn’t even work, and the treadmills are a nightmare—I had to try three different ones before finding one that actually turned on. The bathroom smells terrible, the toilets were clogged, and the sinks were dirty with little to no soap. Really makes you feel motivated… to leave immediately. Honestly, if there were an award for “most unpleasant gym experience,” this place would win it hands down. Definitely not worth joining.

This is the dirtiest, most disgustingly unsanitary 24 hour gym location that I have ever seen since I have been a member (2007). The floor in the women’s locker room looks like it hasn’t been scrubbed in years. The hygiene containers in every stall were filled to the brim. 2 of the 4 soap dispensers were out of soap and hung open. Ugh!
When I got to the pool 2 children were frolicking in one lane and when I walked over to the open end lane they popped over and started wrestling in the water. I’ve only ever seen kids there for the swim training classes not ever unattended kids! I told them this is not a park splash pool. One left to go tell on me. Are they the children of an employee?
Chris from the front desk said kids 12 years old can have memberships.
The spa wasn’t hot but at least the jets worked.
Chris also said that they have no female custodians as they have all quit.
I didn’t take any pictures of the filthy conditions this time but I am reporting the conditions to the health department. And calling corporate.

Noted in 24 hour website that children need to be accompanied by adult member! And no horseplay is allowed in pool. And lap swimmers have priority over casual swimmers.

Almost all of the equipment is either broken or outdated, including the cardio machines. Many of the stairmasters and treadmills have been out of order for over a year and haven’t been repaired. A few other machines have also been broken for a while without any replacements or fixes. The gym desperately needs a complete overhaul, yet despite repeatedly suggesting repairs, the staff shows no interest in helping. There seems to be a new gym manager this year, but it looks like they're even worse at properly maintaining the gym than the previous manager.

This gym is 90% Asian, and the cleanliness is the worst you can imagine, both in the locker room and in the pool, jacuzzi, and sauna. Everyone who goes there wears clothing that's not suitable for swimming. They don't care about cleanliness or personal hygiene.

I went a week before annual auto fee membership is due purposely. I changed to different membership, got charged for new membership and annual fee. But They still charged me for old membership annual fee on other card. I got double charged. It has been taking forever to get issue resolved. And not sure when or if I could get refund when i went week before so this does not happen. The women's restrooms are filthy, feces all over the toilet seat, no toilet paper or seat covers, trash all over the floor, the water is backed up in the sinks...so filthy! I asked to speak to the manager and he is too busy to handle a complaint and then I'm told by the young man at the counter that they've had a number of complaints but nothing gets done. It's bad enough that so many machines are out of service, now you can't even use the restrooms because they can't even maintain that. No sense of urgency or pride.

Update: another member was taking photos of my wife in her swimsuit while in the sauna. Then he and his friends followed us into the hottub. Front desk refused to do anything about it. Spoke to the Manager the next day and he is looking into it. This 100% violates 24's terms of use. They can either ban this guy and his friends or they can get sued.
The same urinal has been clogged and overflowing for 3 months. They do not restock toilet paper in their restrooms and do not provide appropriate staff for ensuring their ability to service both restrooms during business hours.
Dirty, disgusting, most machines are broken or missing parts, very limited hours. Just shut your doors already.

This is purely a review for George my personal trainer. I will post a review about the facility separately. George is an amazing personal trainer. Although I'm not a total gym newbie it's been so long that I might as well be. He pushes you in an encouraging way but is not a drill sargeant either--however he will still go hard if he knows you can take it, eg he knew I had strong hamstrings so he kept increasing the weight so I actually got challenged but it wasn't too much either. He also realizes that life circumstances affect your performance at the gym. He did a comprehensive assessment of any existing medical issues that should be taken into account, and even checks in with me on what's going on outside the gym. I'm in recovery and had some extenuating circumstances that caused me to have to reschedule and one time show up a bit late, he accommodated me without any push back and genuinely cares. I was a little apprehensive to get a trainer at 24 since it's kind of a shot in the dark but George is probably better than any personal trainer I could have found on my own. He gives me hope that I can achieve things I haven't done before!

Gym has really gone down hill. I mostly use the pool, spa, sauna and it's a mess. The showers are unbelievable and they've been bad for some time. Moldy, dirty, smells, hair in the drains, floors haven't been cleaned in what looks like years. Showers broken, soap dispenser thing broken or missing. Just gross. It's sad as it was such a nice gym.

UPDATE: Went back today to swim after several months and it's still a wreck. Dirty, stinky, hair dryer hanging off the wall. Broken lighting in showers so very dark and dingy. I give up. Been a member since it opened. Will be canceling my membership. It's a shame as it's a great location.

I will give these five stars to all the employees at the Buena Park 24 hour fitness. What I don't like is upping membership fees and not really changing anything, when you become a member long ago it should still have some sort of priority in the billing. The air circulation can definitely take some improvement over many years it's gotten worse filters are probably dirty you can see dust hanging off the vents overhead. It's kind of bad 🤮 should make it more comfortable when your working out. But these are all corporate issues again as I say the employees at the 24 hour fitness and management are really cool. Corporate needs to get it together!!! Don't be afraid to spend a few bucks 👍👍

I signed up for the 3 day free gym pass. When I signed up it did not say that we had to make an appt and speak with a manager. Upon arrival, we were told we would have to speak with a manager, Benjamin Ruiz. Benjamin tried incessantly to sell us a membership when we had already said we just wanted the 3 day pass. He tried to guilt trip us and implied we didn’t care about ourselves or our body because we weren’t purchasing a membership. Benjamin asked what we liked to do at the gym and then criticized our choices. After repeatedly telling him that we just wanted the 3 day trial throughout his sell, in the end ge said he could only give us 2 days. This manager was rude, and pushy. This kind of attitude and interactions pushes people away. We just wanted to exercise for a couple of days and think about joining. Instead, we walked out and will not be returning. I hope the staff gets training on sensitivity and learning how to speak to customers who are just getting started.

I’ve been going to 24 Hour Fitness in Buena Park for a long time, and it’s a hidden gem. The staff is really nice and friendly, making it a welcoming environment. While the equipment is a bit dated and it seems like corporate isn’t investing much in it, everything works as it should. The gym doesn’t get too busy, unlike other 24 Hour Fitness locations I’ve visited, which is a big plus. I appreciate the friendly community and personnel. Parking is convenient, with plenty of spaces available, although there have been some break-ins. Overall, I give it 5 stars for their efforts to maintain the place and create a positive atmosphere.

Clearly they don't care since it's years of the same complaints, you can tell they use no cleaning products in the shower/saunas/pool etc.

This gym has been on a downtrend in the past few years. The roof leaks when it's raining, and there are buckets everywhere. There are missing dumbbells and equipment, very old machines that break every other week, and a few of the cardio machines, mainly the Stairmaster have been broken for years without being fixed. Nearly all of the paper towel stations have been completely removed post-COVID, as the staff doesn't seem to care to replace them when empty.

I am a member of 24 fitness last 5 years when I came to United States but never found gym is such a bad shape. The cleanliness is horrible. Water stations and equipment are full of dust. The 24 hour fitness at BP is one of the biggest gyms around the area. Everything is well spaced so I never feel the need to walk on top of people (looking at you Cypress gym). We usually go on a Saturday, around lunch time, and I love it cause there's not much people around, which means there's lots of machines to go around.

Majority of the Clientele are seniors, which makes the gym very calm.

The lack of stars is due to the fact that the gym needs a thorough cleaning and scrubbing. The floors of the gym are dirty and muddy. The air vents by the showers are thick with dust. The shower curtain is yellow. The grout on the flooring is black. Seriously, this gym needs an intensive deep clean.

It has a pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, free weights, cables, machines, and cardio equipment. What it doesn’t have is proper maintenance. I regret buying a full year membership for this gym because the amenities are dirty at best and many of the free weights (20-30 lbs dumbbells) are missing. While you can still get a decent workout here, you will find that many machines and weights are missing components. Lastly, while there is a steam room and sauna, I avoid using them because they are stinky and look gross.

Se necesita limpieza en las áreas del jacuzzi y piscina se miran sucias y los baños en el área de las duchas muy muy sucias huelen feo necesitan mantenimiento de limpieza urgente ya que es antigienico desagradable usar esas áreas el piso esta sucio y en el techo se ve acumulado un montón de polvo con telarañas en el jacuzzi alrededor se puede ver la mugre oscura acumulada de quien sabe de cuanto tiempo se ve muy asqueroso y desagradable porfavor pongan atención en estas áreas para que no se vaya enfermar nadien porque son áreas realmente muy sucias 🤢🤮🤮🙊🙊🙊🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🦠🦠🦠🦠🦠🦠🦠🦠🦠🦠🦠🦠

Worst gym ever, worst customer service from the girl in the front Kenzie. I tried giving this gym benefit of doubt but no- I know for sure this gym is not it!!! I’ll just stick to planet fitness because they at least take care of their members/ people who are interested to in becoming members. And prices are better.

I love the layout of this facility and it's never crowded, I can socially distance easily here. There's a great swimming pool and I enjoy their sauna. I look forward to starting weight training soon.

Roof is leaking every where. Buckets all over the floor to catch the water. Ive spoken to the manager about missing dumbells in the weight room and she said she was aware and had no idea when they would be replaced. It's been over a year since I had that conversation.

So it is the new year 2023. I used to b a member of 24 fitness for a long time before covid hit. I then canceled my membership as all closed down and then when they re opened the rules were ridiculous. So last week my wife got us a new membership. Today we went to the 24 hour sport in Buena park. I used to go to Lakewood when we lived near there but we moved into OC...yay...well the gym seems well taken care of...clean and the machines were good...it was about half full...I kind of noticed an older crowd ...people were actually working out instead of standing around talking or stuck on their cell phones on machines ...which happened a lot in the Lakewood 24 he fitness ....anyhow...I like the buena park gym...glad we rejpined..the only bad thing is they close way way waaaaay too early on a Saturday night...only open til 8 pm??? Come on...really?

Whoa, what a disgusting and disease evoking place.
I've worked out in numerous gyms. Never....never have I seen a business that promotes uncleanness with the likes of 24 hour fitness. Think about this!! If the locker room is dirty and gross. Those same hands are touching the weights, machines your hands are on. You are paying an exorbitant price for getting sick. Planet fitness is less expensive much....much cleaner.

Easily one of the dirtiest 24s I've been to. After a few minutes of working out I feel itchy. The locker rooms floors look like they've never been cleaned. The sauna smells terrible. This 24 could use a facelift and more cleaning staff. Even with ridiculous gas prices, I'm willing to drive an extra 15-20 minutes to go to a cleaner 24.

So I specifically requested a month to month membership because I'm only staying a couple of months in the city, I paid subscription and month in advance.

Then, after 20 days, they charge me some annual $50 fee!! No one told me about it!!! When I tried to file a claim, they just said, "Sorry for the inconvenience, it might have been a communication mistake." No refunds.

A couple of days later, I asked how could I bring a friend to the gym since they told me it was included with the month to month membership i got... Surprise surprise, it wasn't included, I would have to pay $20 extra a month!!

I'm more than disappointed.

I've gone to many 24 hour fitness and typically always use the showers. But this one is by far the worst showers that they have. There's bugs flying around the showers have not been cleaned in months. The filters are completely clogged up. It looks like there's mold on the walls. And the shower heads are pretty much useless with no pressure. So it makes me wonder about the equipment if it's even being clean.

Gregory opens in the morning always on time and has the place ready to go. Restrooms are clean and well-stocked. There are other centers close by with equipment that I prefer, but this one is so much more friendly, and being open in time is a big deal as the other one is not always open on time.

I am glad to be back to working out, but this gym is very old, worked out on a treadmill for 35 min, went to use the dry sauna it was not hot, the steam room was more like a old country club stream room from 1970s used to loung not for therapeutic relief, not hot and no steam.

I arrived only to find a long line. First time here by the way. The staff up front was on top of the checking in. Place was clean and it seemed ok until I observed one to two patron's without a Mask. The one guy was continuously removing it only to place it back on if one of the staff members walked out. What surprised me was the lack of communication between the staff and the Patron! On two ocassions the woman walked by only to continue walking! Not to warn the Patron. Presence is supposed to work?

As I turned around to the back of the wall a woman proceeded to do the same when she Noticed that nothing was being said. The staff member stood outside the entry door of the front desk observing her until she placed her mask back on! I noted this as by Now I am beyond frustrated with these 2 people!

It only takes one person to infect everyone!!
Are they clueless?? The woman and I made eye contact as I noticed that she was about to remove the mask again. She immediately walked over angrily (older woman)and asked if I had a problem? Really??😳She then proceeded to attempt to threaten me by moving up to the equipment I was on. She then proceeds to slapp my water out of my hand! Wow!

Was Quite dissapointed with the lack of communication and attention to this pseudo privileged individual!

Gym facility is good but the staff needs to do something about the MOSQUITOES. I recognized the aedes mosquito after getting bit by the ich coming from my ankle. After a few minutes, swelling began to appear. The area found was the back free weights and middle section.

I do like the layout of this place and how the machines aren't all in one room, but in different rooms. Although they aren't spread out, which normally is fine, but now with the ongoing COVID and social distancing, there are some patrons that seem to be oblivious that that's going on, so they sit in a machine directly next to you, when there are empty machines in the surrounding area.

Also there is always a line out front which is odd. If they have constant capacity issues, then that means you need to go back to the reservation system. The benefits to that is they can set the maximum they'll allow at one time. And then if you have a reserved time, you know you won't have to wait another 15-30 minutes outside to get in when you just want to run in, work out, and run out. I realize that the majority of people tend to not operate with much logic, and so you're kind of stuck with the poor ways that people run things. This place would be better if they added that in.

My daily gym I'm here all the time, staffs great awesome customer service, I really appreciate their resilience to deal with tough customers or situations that may occur. Great power lifting section with padded area. Lots of weights and machines to pump with. Tons of cardio machines for the athletes. Big arobics room if you're trying to practice on a hardwood floor or do yoga. half size olympic pool, nice sauna and jacuzzi. The only downside is that some machines (mainly cardio) don't work and take a while to get fixed like a whole month but there are plenty, the ab workout section leaves a lot to be desired. Restrooms pipe issues with leaking occasionally. Spotty WiFi at times but reliable. Showers a little dirty. Overall it's not a bad gym but could use some tidying up.

This location was my go-to for about 7 years until I moved 5 years ago. After moving back this past January, it saddens me to say that this gym is disgusting. Equipment is old, abused and not maintained AT ALL; I would say at least 75% of the equipment is 8+ years old. The free weight benches that used to be bolted to the ground are only secured with 1 or 2 bolts, now... can't preach safety if you can't provide the proper environment necessary. Equipment aside, this gym is understaffed and most members are completely inconsiderate. Weights everywhere, benches not wiped, attachments scattered throughout the floor...

Come on 24, pick up your game.

Horrible service, when asking for a manager there was no manager onsite and multiple staff told me I had to come back the next day and they couldn't help me. This was around 11am on a weekday. I had to ask them to find another location that had a manager and they attempted to call another store with the same situation with no manager onsite. Being resourceful on my own I was able to get things settled with a neighboring location. The lack of empathy and helpfulness would make me never come to this location.

One of the bigger gyms that has a 4-lane swimming pool with another smaller pool adjacent to it. Restrooms were.dirty and showers are really outdated. No spinners for swimsuit and no plastic for wet clothes.

The whole men’s locker room needs to be pressure washed with bleach and CLR. There is a thick layer of grime, mildew and lime on every surface. The pool however has four lanes instead of the usual two, which is nice.
