The new equipment they have is a downgrade compared to what they had before the renovation. The weights feel and look like their cheap weights, and the new weights are so wide it limits how much you can put on the bar. The cardio machines they have upstairs are the same ones before the renovations, so they are out of order most of the time.

Another thing it's still not open 24hrs and the new machines they have are worse since it limits the range of movement and they move with you which makes using them awkward and unsettling.

The only good thing about this location is how friendly the staff is, aside from that this gym sucks.

The 24 Hour Fitness on Carson is hands down the BEST location in the South Bay! 🙌 Compared to the other clubs in the area, this one really stands out. I love Carson 24. It is where I began my fitness journey. I love the new renovations but I have some concerns on the equipment that is missing. We are missing back extension machine, t-bar back row machine, shoulder press machine, and there is plenty of room for more equipment. Also this gym NEEDS to be 24hrs. I hope my concerns and the concerns of other members about these issues are taken care of.

Quick update. Gym is closed for the month of June for renovations. Pretty exited to see the results.

Sad to say that this is my home gym. It used to be fairly good, but over the past two years, it seems to be on a steady decline. Images like the one attached are more common nowadays. Dirty floors, briken machines and the restrooms are right down disgusting. Update... this gym sadly 😥 has gotten worse. I rotate between the Victorville CA, Fontana CA, Long Beach ca Fullerton CA. Carson is BAD, and it seems like it will not change. I would give it no stars if I could. I would actually take away stars 🌟 if I could.

I’ve been a member for a while, but this gym really needs serious upgrades. The equipment is outdated and worn down — many machines feel unstable or inefficient. The overall facility looks and feels neglected, with no signs of recent improvements.

The sauna is especially disappointing — not only does it smell unpleasant, but it doesn’t feel clean or properly maintained. For the price of membership, I expect better quality and care.

The entire gym interior needs a full refresh — from the machines to the flooring, lighting, and common areas. Until updates are made, I can’t recommend this location to anyone serious about training in a clean, modern, and professional environment.

One of the cleaner gyms I have been to. Staff is pleasant and friendly and they sweep and mop the wood floors once a week. The only downfall is this 24 allows outside trainers to train their clients at this gym for basketball and then I've seen outside personal trainers for weight training. I've seen this from Monday through Friday. Not sure about weekends since I don't make it. As usual weights aren't returned in the location they belong to and the toilets in the men's like most 24 hours fitness is disgusting.

A 24hr fitness and not open 24 hours, that’s the whole point I got the membership. They need to go back to being open 24hrs. Makes no sense. This also has to be false marketing. Section 5 of the FTC Act prohibits "unfair or deceptive acts or practices in or affecting commerce." Fix this before I dig deeper into it and do something about it.

This place is an absolute joke for a “24-hour gym.” First off, the parking lot is a nightmare—car thefts and break-ins are happening all the time, AND PEOPLE BEING MUGGED NEARBY , and it honestly feels like whoever’s supposed to be doing security is either completely useless or in on it. NO PROTECTION AT ALL
The gym itself looks like it hasn’t been updated since the early 2000s. Most of the machines are either broken or feel like they’re one workout away from falling apart. The whole place just looks rundown and neglected. There’s zero motivation to work out here when the place looks like it’s barely holding itself together.

As for the staff—don’t expect any help or professionalism. Most of them are just hanging around, flirting with guests and killing time. It’s clear they couldn’t care less about the condition of the gym or the people using it.

Save your money and go somewhere that actually invests in security, maintenance, and staff who give a damn.

Every barbell is worn down to near-nothing. No knurl to speak of on any of them and the bearings hardly spin. I hope they get sued for providing hazardous equipment to users. Given this I try to cancel my membership online but their site says I have no eligible agreements to cancel, but in the same breath says my active agreement will be auto-charged $310 in a month. I call (several times before someone answers) to explain this and get told there's nothing they can do unless I come into the site to cancel. Useless gym, useless company, useless employees.

Only attend this location on no other option matters, since I have other matters in the area. This is not my favorite location. The gym refuses to have managers on site during business hours. I had a member break the lock off my locker on September 29, 2024 and steal my wallet, who then made an unauthorized charge of $248.04 at the nearby mall. Jorge, the front desk staff, was absolutely amazing and did everything within his power to help me, however, because there wasn't a manager on-site, when the LA Sheriff's Department came to file my report, we couldn't provide them with any information of the member who broke into my locker. I just called them at around 10:25 am. Today is Monday, and I was asked to call back in about an hour because the manager would not be at the gym until 11:30. If they gym is not going to have managers available, they need to make sure staff has access to pulling up whatever managers can pull up, in their absence.

The gym is pretty clean, but way too busy on a weekday to get a good workout in. The people that come here are extreme machine hogs, and the one or two people that are on staff at any given time don't care at all. They don't acknowledge the issue, never come upstairs, and generally exude an air of non-caring. Meanwhile, people sit on machines, or take up two at a time, for 30 minutes or more. Those who are serious about getting a workout in don't need to waste their time here.

If you’re going to be called 24 Hour, you should be open for 24 hours a day. That’s the whole reason people join this gym. I’m disappointed that I won’t be able to come to the gym after work (I work late) Coming in the morning is ok but it gets crowded fast. People don’t wipe machines and I didn’t see any staff members walking around to clean anything. I used to go to Golds Gym and they had people cleaning, but here I saw a huge roach, and paper towels all over the floor. I chose this location because it’s closest to my house, but come on guys, can we keep it clean if we’re not going to be open 24 hrs a day?

I've never dealt with the level of unprofessionalism that I have dealt with at this 24 Hr. Fitness. I have booked 3 separate appointments with 3 different trainers and every single time they have just not shown up. No warning at the front desk, no cancelation beforehand, no app notification, NOTHING. So not only have I moved my schedule around to fit when a trainer could see me...but then they don't show up. It's incredibly rude and even I would have called in if I couldn't make it to meet with the trainer so I didn't waste their time. Staff has been made aware of this and each time they just book me with someone else and then that person flakes too. I get that life happens but a little warning would be nice? Professional? And 3 separate occasions with 3 different people makes me believe that their staff is careless.

AND this review does not reflect the front desk staff or anyone other than the trainers. Front desk had always been polite, apologetic, tried to rebook me,, and share my frustration with the trainers.

It’s not my regular gym location and came here when I was in the area. The place is clean including bathroom and well equipped. Every equipment is functional. It was my leg day and I had a very good workout. A few thing that can improve are a few racks at downstairs have no weight plates attached to them. Great gym with a large facility with plenty of treadmills, elliptical machines, stationary bikes, free weights, and machines. I saw only one Smith machine, though. There seems to be enough disinfectant spray bottles but they need a few more paper towel dispensers. They have a basketball court and a room for classes as well as a sauna. The workers provide good service with a smile.
