This gym has potential. Staff needs to step up though. I asked for help and got a really pathetic answer. None of the free weights are ever in order. Disinfectant nozzles are always damaged. Take some pride in your gym and organize it daily. If you’re too good for that, maybe customer service ain’t it. The layout is great and the gym has pretty much all we need. One last thing, we need a sign that says you cant sit on gym equipment to be on the phone.

I visited 24 Hour Fitness today using a 3-day free pass, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The male staff member who gave me the tour spent less than a few minutes briefly introducing the gym before taking me straight to a computer to sign up for a membership. I didn’t even have the chance to properly see the facilities or try any of the equipment before he started pushing for a sale.

When I told him that I wasn’t ready to decide yet, he asked in a pressuring tone, “What factor is stopping you from deciding today?” I explained that I wanted to take a look around first and think about it, but he looked annoyed and kept asking the same question.

He also said that after I finished working out, I could come find him again — clearly intending to keep selling. When I declined, he asked, “So why did you come to the gym?” I told him my goal was simply to exercise, and he responded, “If your main goal is health, not buying the membership means you won’t get healthy.”

That statement was very unprofessional and disrespectful. Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt pressured, uncomfortable, and judged. To make things worse, even though the free pass was supposed to last for 3 days, he only gave me access for one. Overall, this experience completely ruined my impression of the gym.

I’ve asked the staff many times to fix the door between the men’s locker room and the sauna area. That door is right next to the jacuzzi, and every time it closes, it makes a loud, screeching metal noise. You can even hear it from far inside the men’s locker room.

The gym was closed for over a month for remodeling a few months ago, and I hoped they would fix it then. But they only focused on the workout area and completely ignored the locker and shower areas. Some shower heads have also been missing for a long time. I’m paying extra for the Super Sport membership, but there’s really no point when the environment isn’t being maintained properly.

I’ve talked to other members in the locker room about the door noise, and I realized I’m not the only one bothered by it — many others have also complained, but it’s still not fixed after more than a year.

It’s hard to relax in the jacuzzi with that constant noise, and it’s torture hearing that metal sound while taking a shower. I won’t be renewing my 24 Hour Fitness membership next year.

This location Manager ( Josh ) will not return calls- nor will he get on the phone to discuss my membership. I am getting the run around for months now between Downey and Cerritos locations in regard to canceling my year purchased membership. (Gym was also closed on weeks end) during remodel. With no reimbursement. Front desk workers keep telling me he’s on the phone ever few hours I call. Lastly finally when he was available and would not get on the phone to assist me. Now I have to contact my bank to see what I need to do. I do not recommend this gym- it’s hot and packed daily. Never a good time to go. Lastly the workers are not friendly upon entering. I need to call corporate at this point, im told but a helpful gentlemen at the front desk that finally gave me some direction.

Only about 1/4 of the stair masters actually work. Half of the showers in the men’s locker room don’t work, either have no shower head, no soap, or are flooded with standing water. There’s never an attendant at the front desk when I’m there at 6:00am or when I leave at 7:00am, don’t see any 24 Hour people. Oh, a there are no weights under 30lbs around, not sure where they are, but can’t find any. Don’t recommend.

Team member Jamie is giving out false information, charging me more, and is being rude. I latterly had to call another location to speak with a manager that was able to help me out and even gave me a much better renewal experience and deal. Team member Jamie, says that once I’m in the system, there is no refunds or credits. That’s a lie, because I was told last night that if my 10% discount offer didn't go through, I would get credit. In which they did when I renewed last year. I’ll make sure to stay away from Jamie on my nxt renewal, should I decide to come back here. 24hour needs to send team members like Jaime back for training!

Very pleased with my membership with 24 hours Fitness and especially excited about this location. The Cerritos 24 Hour Fitness has an amazing relaxation room which is a great value to me. The attendants at the front desk were friendly and efficient and I was especially impressed with Peter who is my age and very fit. He openly shared interesting/professional fitness tips with me, and provided a high level of customer care and support. Moreover, the spa area (hot tub, sauna and steam room) were clean and super effective with optimal temperatures. I highly recommend 24 Hour Fitness--I will continue to visit this location They have certainly earned 5 stars from me.

My favorite gym to go during busy hours since Downey gym is disgusting and horrible. Love the re-model. Can’t complain for anything minus the locker rooms. Specifically the restrooms and urinals. Usually dirty and middle one sometimes goes out or the restroom stall one of them goes out of order. Would appreciate if it’s clean more consistent but other than that. Can’t complain

I’m been a member since 2017. This is the first time I encountered animosity from any personnel of any team (janitors to managers). Regarding an absolute horrendous member of a team. The culprit of the issue. Peter (the one who resembles a sphynx feline) was super unhelpful to a non member just because he asked to find my belongings. Any STORE whether a dollar store or a yacht club would still allow you that much but he had a power trip and I guess HE has my belongings still. I don’t even want to press charges; “his sadness shows on his face” said my cousin. My cousin is a manager at the auto square and he took the time to go in out of work to get my valuable belongings. Of course It’s my fault that I lost it.. 45 min ago but he seems sketchy and scandalous. Apparently anyone can work here. You guys hire just anyone. I’ve received better service from children than select mid life crisis people who take it out on customers/people. 1 star because it’s clean, 1 star because its maintained and the atmosphere is beautiful but it’s seems sacrilegious to lie; 1 can ruin it for all. I suggest he gets help. Btw my cousin told me this over the phone. I’m the member but I don’t want to go when he’s there anymore.

It is my go to gym and I really enjoy going there but there is hardly every cleaning equipment available. Paper towels and spray bottles are empty for the most part and when you ask an employee they say sorry we running low on cleaning supplies. Which I completely understand but I also find it a bit gross and concerning that a gym is consistently missing essential cleaning items.

Only been once, but great experience. Open layout, clean, all equipment I encountered was functional. Other members are respectful and take care of the gear. Restrooms were clean. Music was not obnoxious. Even midday on a Saturday, when you'd expect peak busy-ness, there was really no wait for most gear or machines and plenty of weights available. There's also a private training room available for an additional fee or if you're working with a personal trainer.

Nice facility but why is it called '24 Hour Fitness' if it closes at 10pm (8pm weekends?). That's false advertising, unethical, deceitful and not fair to Crunch, eOS and Planet Fitness who are genuinely open 24 Hours for 1/2 the price!! I do know the reason - 24 is cutting cost and trying to save on cleaning, manpower (overnight staff is hard to find), utilities and cleaning expenses but wants to compete with LA Fitness & Gold's. There is a detailed review from another user which addresses this fraud. Guess the local DA's office needs to hear about this soon :) Stay tuned fellas~
