I’ve lived in Downey all my life, and I’ve had a bit of a history with the 24 Hour Fitness here. Honestly, I used to be a little intimidated by how big it felt and how pricey it seemed back in the day, so I never really stuck around for long. But three weeks ago, I found this great deal online and decided to give it another shot. And I’m really glad I did.
This time around, I signed up for personal training with Michael, and he’s been amazing from day one. He reached out right away, got me started quickly, and even helped make sure the pricing was something I could actually manage.
Our sessions have been genuinely great. Michael really knows how to keep me motivated and accountable, and he checks in on how I’m doing beyond just the gym floor. He’s got this great way of tailoring workouts to how I’m feeling each day, and he even brings his own attachments to make sure we can do certain exercises if the gym doesn’t have the exact equipment. It’s that kind of dedication that’s made this experience so worthwhile. Honestly, he reminds me of my favorite trainer I had over at EOS a while back, and that’s saying something!
If you’re considering joining or getting a trainer, I definitely recommend Michael. Our workouts have been a game changer for me.

Come here often. Cardio equipment and class studios are always clean and working. They just made a lot of impressive upgrades to their weight lifting equipment however unfortunately weights are always randomly organized. I know it’s due to the clientele but wish there was better enforcement on re-racking your weights and organization from staff.

Love the new layout and the new equipment! However, the old basketball room is now the weight room, and it really needs fans, AC, and more mirrors for aesthetic and practical reasons. With no air ventilation, it feels stuffy and uncomfortable during workouts. Maybe adding better airflow and a few more mirrors would make the space much more enjoyable and motivating.

New facility looks great. I’ve been coming to this place ever since it opened about eight years ago it looks better than ever. They got rid of the basketball court and along with that the ratchetness and the fight’s breaking out. Good move nurture your existing loyal civilized clients.
