I came to work out at 6am and waited for an hour then left because no one showed up to open. Lots of people standing around waiting for someone to show up and open the gym. This was not the first time it happened. They need to hire more dedicated staff. This one falls on management!

I love to work out early every morning and it’s so great to start my day off with such a warm greeting each morning at this gym. I’ve gotten to know Giana and she is always so warm with her greetings and if I need anything while at the gym, she quickly responds. This is my go to 24 location in the area. I tried all the other locations in the area and none seems to hit like this one. Even though the other location down the street has a basketball court, sauna, and swimming pool, the vibes are still not the same. This gym is a bit smaller, but I really prefer the layout of this gym and I'd still choose this location knowing that I can and will get a great workout in. Charlie and the rest of the staff here are also always very welcoming and friendly and that's a definite plus!

This gym is sucks. Used to be great but not anymore. Environment in the gym is ridiculous. Their soap dispenser always empty their gym equipments always out of order and Never fixed on time. They Only have one Decline bench press which is sitting out of order over a year, management keep making excuses. They only have a one Smith machine and always a huge line for waiting. If you report to front counter For any inconvenience, they always have a one answer we working on it. If you want a quality workout, this gym is not for you. Good place to work out except that it’s dark. 10-12 lights always seem to be out!!

It’s been 3 weeks. Now @ 15 lights out. Row machine foot strap is broken. Out of paper towels?! What is going on?? Very disappointing!!

Went in today, 2 months later, 20 lights out, no paper towels and no toilet paper. This place is going downhill. I think I’ll change locations. Bummer as this location is close to my house

Emergency! Regional Manager Brandon Moore disrespectful to members with disabilities and he orders his manager Jake Ryan to run Air Conditioning at 80 degrees and the thermostat is set to 73 degrees. I tested all South Sacramento 24 facilities with my Ryobi infrared Thermometer and they were all at 80 degrees. I was told by Jake Ryan that I am the only one complaining so it does not matter. I have ADD, OCD, high blood pressure and I am sure others have different abilities like shyness, speech, hearing, and mobility impairment and believe that 24 hour Corporate Brandon Moore actually cares. I want to talk to you face to face Brandon (does not care for South Sacramento) Moore.

I like this location, my only complaint is they don't maintain their cardio machines very well. For years, nearly half of the treadmills were broken until all of them were replaced. Now there are several elliptical machines need servicing. I've reported this to at least 3 staff and nothing has been done. They also removed some of the hand sanitizer units and the rest are not checked and filled regularly.

Last week I had an episode of almost passing out at the front desk and an angle of him didn’t know her name until just now, Kim, saved me that day. She immediately recognized the dire situation that I was in and opened a bottle of Gatorade for me and help me drink it. That immediately change my condition and I got my cognitive and bodily faculty back in 15 minutes time. I can never thank her enough, and I think someone in management should know about this heroic and self-motivated act and recognize her for saving life. I don’t know what would have happened that day to me without Kim’s help.

I love this location!!
I joined a little over a year ago. I wanted to get an idea of what to do while working out so I could see the best results. So I signed up for the training sessions. I was paired with a trainer named Natsumi and she was awesome. Natsumi always pushed me to do better than I thought I could and kept track of my progress. Her faith in me is what kept me consistent and see results.
The entire staff is very friendly and some know me by name. They have plenty of machines for you to get your gains done!
I’ve made a few friends which makes it super cool to get a good workout and see familiar faces.
I’d recommend this location to anyone plus it’s right in a large shopping center so there’s plenty of parking and places to eat after you’ve had a good workout.

My first time at this location. The equipment is limited and all of the machines I wanted to use were full. When I went into the women’s locker room to shower after my short workout, a man came walking right in cleaning the bathroom without any thought that there might be a naked woman walking around. How uncomfortable. There should be female attendant working in the Women’s Locker room. That was completely unacceptable.

The Calvine gym in Elk Grove is wonderful. It is clean! The instructors are great, especially Gloria (yoga) and Alondra (cycling). One negative is that there is only one Smith Machine. If it breaks down, it takes a week to fix. Also, sometimes the gym is closed in the morning without advance notice. They need two employees to open the gym in the morning if one is sick.

Mary’s Zumba class is always a pleasure. I love the high impact dance routines. I feel very lucky to have an instructor who can create great dance moves along with the song selections. It always makes me feel less stressed when I am dancing in her class. Everyone in the class is pretty friendly and brings plenty of energy which is awesome. Most of the machines especially the treadmills are broken or malfunctioning. Even the ones that work have something wrong with them like they can’t incline or they only get a certain speed and it’s not adjustable. This is my favorite 24 hr location in the Sacramento area, which is ironic because it's probably the least fancy and smallest. However, the vibe here is totally chill, the employees are really friendly and welcoming, and while cleanliness has been a problem in the past they have really stepped up their cleaning efforts over the past 5 months and things are much better. As a result, it is probably the cleanest and most relaxed 24 hr location in the area, and I drive past many other locations every day just to come to this one.

This place also keeps the thermostat at a more reasonable temperature; other locations I've been to are usually 2-5 degrees too hot for a gym. This place keeps it much better, without it getting cold.

Can get crowded, especially with teenagers during the summer months, but that's not the location's fault and in fact the staff usually handle the surge well. Every gym has things that break down, but I feel like this location gets them repaired faster than other locations too.

All in all, as long as I'm in the area I plan on coming to this gym.

I came at 12:05 pm on a Saturday and the women’s locker rooms were closed from 12-1:30 because the person cleaning the locker rooms was male. I couldn’t work out because I had no where to change or put up my things, or use the restroom for that matter. If this happened at 9pm or something I would’ve understood. You have to clean it sometime and I understand the difficulty of finding staff. But noon on a Saturday? This is actually the second time this has happened and both times were at this location. I’ve never had an issue elsewhere.

This location does not care about the elderly. They cancelled all our senior classes and they cancelled my membership even though it was only 3 months in. I had to pay 70 dollars per month for a gym that doesn’t even clean their toilets. Do not recommend. Go to city sport across the street. Do not sign your parents up here either.

I enjoy coming to this time gym a lot. I haven’t been to the gym in a very long time after having my 4th child. I finally found the courage and motivation to get back in to shape. I like that this location always have people working out at any hour of the day to give me motivation to continue . Parking is a bit hard to find sometimes depending on the hour of day you go but overall it’s a good gym.

I gave it a four because it doesn’t offer a sauna, steam room or a basketball court. I hate running on the treadmill but having a basketball will definitely keep me running for hours! Besides that this is good enough for me!

After this was brought to her attention by another female gym user who had witnessed this disturbing act, she alerted manager Malik about the issue. Malik proceeded to do absolutely nothing about it, going so far as to defend the male gym user regardless of the fact that there was an eyewitness. Malik's dismissal of the victim's safety and privacy is unacceptable; with how lightly he took the situation, I wouldn't be surprised if Malik has allowed other male gym users to photograph and record other women. Staff should be able and willing to take care of these types of situations and create an environment where anyone can feel safe. This should never have been allowed to happen. I am utterly appalled by the shocking lack of responsibility displayed by the 24 Hour Fitness Gym Staff in response to a distressing incident. A female gym goer had the courage to report being filmed and photographed without her consent by a male gym member, a clear violation of her privacy and safety. However, the way the staff brushed off this serious concern is nothing short of disgraceful. Instead of taking immediate action to address the violation and protect the rights of their female member, the manager's dismissive attitude and the lack of consequences for the male gym member shows a complete disregard for the well-being and security of their patrons, especially FEMALE PATRONS. The male member was let off so easily and resumed his workout in the same spot and continued looking at the female gym member inappropriately, making her extremely uncomfortable.This incident not only highlights the negligence of the gym management but also sends a terrifying message that inappropriate behavior will be ignored and tolerated. I came in at 7am to sign up and Gracie came over with a friendly face and said I don’t really do memberships but I’ll call my manager and figure it out. Long story short she learned how to do something new and I was really satisfied and impressed with her customer service and not just telling me to come back later or something. Thanks Gracie and the GM that walked her through the membership type I had

Been going to this place for quite sometime, sadly to say this place it's always packed no matter what time you go in. The time it's always packed I have been noticing are between the hours of 3pm to closing, I'm lucky to find a time where their are less people. Threadmills are great, the hacksquat has been broken for 3 months other than that the weight selection overall is great, also tried the trainer program with Ryan, I give him 5 out of 5 stars. The staffing are friendly. The only reason why I'm giving this review 2 out of 5 stars is the gym is always packed and the parking is horrendous, I always have to park at the captain crab then walk across the parking lot just to get into the gym itself.

Good variety of dumbbells in the free-weight section and plenty of benches. There could be more spray bottles accessible, however. Also, the mat in the free weight section is a poor choice because it declines at the edges and is hard to see. It's easy to trip on. These are moderate issues but not enough for me to take off one star. Good staff and clean facility.

This gym used to be fun when it was “24 hour fitness” I guess they changed their hours because of COVID but now it should be back to normal don’t know what’s taking them so long since they were supposed to be back to 24 hours in February. I know there are other locations still open 24 hours but why isn’t this one? Yet we still pay the full price of 24 hours that its supposed to be open for. I would like to know the reason why it’s still not open 24 hours.

I’ve been coming here for years. I have left a couple of times to try out other gyms but keep coming back to this one. They do a lot better job now than years past in fixing broken machines and keeping paper towels and cleaning spray stocked. Gym is clean. Friendly employees and even friendlier clientele.

I love this gym, but since they changed their hours and said they were supposed to go back to normal 24 hours in February of this year and still didn't do it is dissappointing. So many of us were looking forward to it. We're paying "24 hour" pricing, yet only getting half that as some of us work certain times of the day and can only get to the gym at certain hours. You tell us that you're going to switch back to normal hours, but until now nothing has changed. What's really going on?

I appreciate this location but the air conditioning is never on high enough (as with most locations). The traffic saturation is fairly high at most times. One benefit is the open TRX and stretching available to members, however not as popular as they once were. Upper body ergonometer and relatively higher amount of cardio equipment and choices make it an ideal ‘get in, get out and move on’ type neighborhood gym.

This gym falls short of its name "24 Hour Fitness" since they are not operational round-the-clock. Additionally, many of their machines are out of order, and it takes them a few months to fix them. To add to the inconvenience, the gym is overcrowded during peak hours, which are typically from 4 pm to 8 pm. Check out “The Gym Fitness Center” on Bradshaw for a WAY better experience.

Love the variety of equipment and classes! Our family especially enjoys the Calvine Rd. gym because of the friendly excellent customer service 😉 Ashley keeps her nice staff very busy . . .the Cleaning crew guys are exceptional 👏

24 Hour Fitness on Elk Grove Florin Road is meh. This location is fairly small and they close early. All the other 24 hour fitnesses in Sacramento stay open later. This is my least favorite location.

Dirty gym. I’ve had a 24 hour membership for several years this place seems to be the dirtiest. Mens locker room looks like it’s never seen a mop, countertops are gross. Staff is either in the managements office chatting it up, or piled up the front sitting, on the computers. All machines have some kind of garbage. Even though you just left and might have forgotten something they make you check in for “liability reasons” if I don’t check out how do they know I left? Even though they literally saw you step out.

The facility is much cleaner than other ones I’ve visited. The front desk staff are also more welcoming and into their jobs. Typically other receptions (Laguna) are stand off ish. It can get packed at peak times, but doable for the most part. Thumbs up!
