First gym visit in months. Felt great and gym was the same as before. Corporate has done everything possible to screw the company, so I'll enjoy whatever I can get presently.
Gym was clean as always, fewer people working out, new check-in method is great, we'll see how long guys clean-up afterthemselves and repack weights.

Probably the worst 24 hour I have been to. Its a hundred thousand degrees inside and 800% humidity 24/7. They have enough weight stations for 2 people. Its a joke. I dont want to wait thirty minutes for a flat bench to do free weights on. Come on foks, time for an overhaul here!! Place is old, dirty, and falling apart.

Hotter than Hades. It’s 74 in here according to the wall gauge. It’s 64 outside. They tell me they can’t open the door or adjust the temp. Corporate doesn’t allow. Uh ok.

For it to be an Encinitas location the gym is not good at all . There's not enough space to do floor work outs. Its always crowded after 5pm it honestly needs to be remodeled . The that's super small used for stretching or whatever it is . It always stinks in there and its always dirt.

I'm giving this gym 2 stars because it's close to my house an convenient. But, this whole gym could use an overhaul and some upgrades. Specifically the women's bathroom. It's gross it's rundown and just feels like it needs a really deep cleaning.

Weight everything and cardio equipment are old. TVs are small. Luckily the staff are friendly.

A little small by today's gym standards, with older equipment and facilities but they are clean and the staff is cordial, knowledgeable and approachable. No pool or sauna.

Friendly staff and the locker rooms are not as bad as others have said. Small gym but plenty of room. Not too crowded.

There are nicer and more expensive gyms in the area. However, if you get the Costco 2 year pass. This is by far the best value in Encinitas. It is never too crowded like some of the gyms I went to in the past. The only drawback is that some of the equipment is a little dated and the locker rooms could definitely use a remodel. I recommend it, and its great for families.

I like this gym, never that crowded, I can use any machine at any time. Only problem is that the lockers are so run down, and the showers stink like sewage. I literally have to take a shower at home after I shower after working out at the gym. Other than that, it's a good gym.

Something closes at least one aspect of this gym a year. Last year the classes were canceled for months due to a water issue. This year the club closed for several days due to a water issue. Much better, nicer, bigger gyms for the same price nearby

Small, but has everything you need.
Restrooms have lockers as well.

2 barbell benches
1 squat rack
1 assisted squat rack
Plenty of free weights

I'd say it's a decent gym for the active club level 24 franchise.

I had an excellent experience with this gym's personal trainers, specifically Chassidy and Brendan. I'd highly recommend anyone needing strength conditioning and/or corrective training to speak to these two. I've been working out for several years and with one short workout they helped to completely ameliorate my shoulder pain when doing bench press among other things. If I lived in Encinitas full time I would definitely have hired Chassidy for additional sessions.

Worst place I've ever stepped foot into. Manager is a acts like he personally owns the gym. Not to mention he acts like a d*#kh@#d cop trying to intimidate you. The staff seem to always want to swindle you into upgrading your membership or buying something they have on display. Once they start talking to you about what they have to offer, not matter what you say to try and deter them, they don't let up which makes the experience extremely aggravating. Do not recommend this gym at all. Don't go there. Horrible

The staff here is amazing!!! I don't live in Encinitas anymore but still visit sporadically and they not only set me up on week passes (none of that membership pressure I get everywhere else) but also treat me like a friend--aka way better than my gym at home where I've been a member for 4 years. They only have 1 squat rack and the free weights area is a little cramped (hence the 4 stars) but because of how friendly and helpful everyone is I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

Much like the city it resides in and the location within that city this is a sleepy, quaint venue. My commute took me by this every day so I although I saw months of construction I could tell from a far that the parking was pretty horrendous for a while.

Not to be a gym snob, but I had actually never been to a non sport/ultra 24 until here. I actually didn't know there was levels below Sport, just that the few and far between Ultra's and Super's to me were not worth the extra money. I'm actually a member of Planet Fitness as well as 24. I use 24 for pool work in prep for triathlons and Planet for the relaxed atmosphere. I'm all over the place with my commute and engagements so I've literally been to dozens of gym's which is why 24 appeals to me.

This is a much smaller location than it's other nearby 24's. I found the equipment to be standard, but a bit crowded and due to the low ceilings it feels even smaller. Unlike other's I found no downed equipment and due to the hours I come I can't speak to the highly popular spin classes. A bit too many mirrors imo.

The lockeroom/bathroom is much of the same. Smaller. I liked the tall dryers make drying off faster, but I do wish there was some enclosure to each shower stall. There is a good # of lockers, but not enough space to actually shower were even 1/3 of them to be in use.

I have been requesting doors or curtains in the men's showers for years. They finally put up a single curtain and left the others open. How cheap can you get?

Okay, let's be real here, it's an Active level club, so you really shouldn't expect much. But compared to the other Actives, this place is much more run down. Everything is in one big room. Ventilation isn't bad here, but they do lack good fans (though people who like to drip sweat probably wouldn't mind -- not that I mind sweating, I just hate being sweaty). And the TVs are pretty much useless -- too small and far from most cardio machines to be able to watch anything with captions (but I guess you can wear earbuds -- I just don't like things in my ear). But at the end of the day, it's an adequate place to get some exercise.
