Nothing is ever replaced or refilled. I go here due to convenience and the members are nice. Wouldn't it be common sense to go check the supplies every hour to refill them? 1 out of 6 TVs work in the cardio area. There are very few staff members that are nice and say hello and goodbye. This place really needs to change management or even ownership if it's franchise.

Edited because I tried the showers for the first time and it is absolutely disgusting in there. Isn't there some kind of health codes for gyms?

When we signed up for our membership, the sales representative explicitly told us that by purchasing one membership, we would receive two guest passes and that it would function as “three accounts for the price of one.” This was the primary reason we chose to sign up. After joining, we learned that this information was completely inaccurate. Not only was the benefit misrepresented, but we were also denied entry at a location because of this misinformation.

When calling this location to resolve the issue, the multiple representatives working had no information or solutions. We were left waiting outside of the gym for the General Manager to arrive.

When we attempted to resolve the matter with the General Manager, Jake Creamer, he was dismissive, unhelpful, and showed no accountability for the misinformation we were given during sign up. Instead of helping clarify or correct the situation, his attitude made the experience even more frustrating.

Additionally, this location has ongoing cleanliness issues that reflect a lack of care and management oversight.

Given the misleading sales practices, the poor customer service, and the condition of the facility, I would strongly advise others to avoid this location.

I hope this matter will be reviewed seriously, as this experience has been extremely disappointing.

Been a member since this gym has opened and if I had to guess, I would say the owners are just waiting for the lease to expire to shut it down. At least 8 TVs have been down for months. Literally 1 clock in the entire facility. Bathrooms smell like urine (note all the comments on cleanliness and note the responses by the owner with nothing being down, many refuse to use the bathrooms there now). Late night staff seems disinterested or more interested in making sure you get out (they crank up the volume in the last 1/2 hour to seemingly try to tick you off or loudly nag every 5 minutes). Never seen anything like this in the 40 plus years I've been a member of the gym. More and more of us are going to other locations. Clearly a management issue and an easy fix if they just decided to give a darn. All it takes is having a little pride in the location. Too bad, this was a great location.

I like this gym, but I really liked working with my personal trainer here at this location. At first, I was really shy about coming in. I didn’t know anything about form or the machines, until Randee, my trainer, helped me understand everything I needed to know.

Thanks to Randee, I felt that much more confident and comfortable going to the gym because now I know more about forms, gym etiquette and just coming in to work on myself.

Randee’s help alone changed a lot in my life, and I’m really grateful that 24 has wonderful trainers like her. She has an amazing attitude and is always working hard with her clients every time I see her. So thank you Randee, for making 24 such a wonderful experience for me!

If anyone reading this is thinking about working with a personal trainer, I highly recommend Randee!

I’ve been a member at this gym for about two years, and the quality has gone downhill fast. The equipment, sauna, steam room, spa, and pool are constantly breaking down, and repairs take forever, sometimes days, sometimes even weeks. It’s really disappointing to see how poorly this location is being maintained.

This gym has been run into the ground. There's multiple pieces of broken equipment, 2 sets of 5# and 10# plates, if you can find them, and the dumbbell rack is always a mess. The dumbbells are usually scattered.

The 24 Hour Fitness .. Bella Terra .. seems to be going downhill… real bad and real fast.. Ive been a member at this club since it opened .. and at one time … pretty good.. but now… horrible… the main amenities one joins for… terrible… restrooms often dirty , no toilet paper.. floors often dirty and smell… they just mop w water no cleaner? the hand dryers .. half have been broken for months.. the showers .. bad.. out i of 7, 2 work fairly well .. the rest barely leak out water…the clocks dont work .. in fact in the whole club .. only 2 work .. the Jacuzzi has been broken for overhalf a year.. the Steam room is always broken … the Sauna … usually works .. but never Hot enough… this club is a huge disappointment… I live 5 minutes away .. but Ill often go to Fountain Valley or other Huntington Beach locations… everything works , everything is clean, great showers , etc TVs.. the works!! when you ask the managers or team members… about the problems… they seem perturbed.. and always respond with.. the usual “ I don’t know “..my rhetorical question is Why do ALL of the other clubs have top notch facilities.. but Bella Terras … SUCK… !?? And no one seems to care..! I bet if the club had to give back half the registration dues… because many people join because of the amenities.. Pool , Steam , Sauna , Jacuzzi, Showers, .. and when these are broken for months on end.. quite disappointing.. today , I went to Bella Terra .. 3-4 treadmills broken, Jacuzzi still broken , 2 decent showers, Steam room not working… Sauna … not hot at all .. just warm … And the POOl closed.. and when asked why? … no one knows why..!!?? I advocate that 24 hour fitness gives back monthly fees until everything is in top notch working order… if other 24 fitness clubs can do it .. so can Bella Terra … would appreciate a mangerial answer….! thank you.. I work out at a few 24 hour fitness location but this one I only go out of convenience. Some of the sinks have been broken for god knows how long and there are no out of order signs. Their refillable water stations say they need to he replaced but they said it already was so I'm just buying water because i don't feel comfortable using it. I feel like things don't get fixed here. Being a guest at this location for the first and only time(my wife has been a member here for about 10 years), I am astounded at the condition of this gym. How can anyone, owner or manager, allow a business of health maintenance to be this gross?

Firstly, after taking a few swimming strokes in the lap pool I found my eyes burned my lips numb my skin slimy. This is a condition of dangerously high level of chlorination. Hazardous.

Upon deck, I ran into a few members milling about talking of progressively worsen condition at this 24 Hour Fitness location: lap pool water is over chlorinated (one lady even shared a photo of her new swimming suit faded to almost white, it really shows in the straps), whirlpool water temperature is colder than the lap pool, sauna rarely has any heat, steam room has no steam, changing rooms are rarely cleaned or mopped. The owner of the now ruined swimsuit also related to a fact that management simply does not care: front desk was notified of the high chlorination issue, but rebuffed by a manger and told to leave it alone, nothing to fix!

I shared my thoughts to the group: take your business elsewhere, but not before filing complaints with California Department of Consumer Affairs (for breaching of contract/promise and fail to provide working facility/service in exchange for fee/membership) and Cal/OSHA (for creating hazardous condition to employee/member and/or the public).

This gym truly needs a total renovation or shut down.

Really bad front desk service. I always have to wait for someone to go ring me up. It’s not just me many others as well. Anyone could literally walk up and just take anything and they would not care. Clearly not all of the staff is bad but the night shift people are pretty bad. When I go ask for help it seems to be a bother their face expressions say it all it’s like dude it’s your job if you don’t like it why be there?
Your customers are who keep you with a job. They need better training in customer service. No one smile or anything. I get maybe you don’t get “paid enough” but it’s a job.

I can’t believe such a big brand gym located it in such a nice place would be this poorly maintenance.. They don’t replace the filters in water bottles fountains. Everything is dirty, old or broke. I mean i don’t know how they are in business.

This is quite possible the worst gym I’ve ever worked out at. And I’ve been steady for 22 years. During that time I’ve had memberships at lifetime fitness, golds gym, 24 hours, EOS, LA fitness and even visited a planet fitness. This one takes the cake !!!

People here like to leave equipment all over the gym, which is kind of typical at a lot of gyms I’ve gone to, but it is over the top at this one. It’s always HOT and MUSTY inside and they literally have NO FANS IN THE MAIN AREA!!!!!. It’s disgusting. The clock has been broken well over the last six months. The Urinals are consistently broken, and the bathroom always smell awful. And to top it off, they’re not open 24 hours unlike the name 24 hour fitness. They close at 8 o’clock on Sundays and 10 o’clock during the weekdays. LITERALLY MISSING HALF THE EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR A REAL WORKOUT!!!!

AND THIS IS NOT AN ATTACK ON THE PEOPLE THAT WORK THERE. They are nice as can be. CORPORATE, you need to step up to the plate and fix this dumpster fire!

If you’re ever looking for a free gym, this is the one for you. Front desk staff are always too busy talking to each other or on their phones so it’s really easy to sneak in. Bathrooms are disgusting so you can pee on the floor and it wouldn’t make a difference. Don’t worry about washing your hands because half of the sinks don’t work. I really tried to give this gym another chance and even started going more consistently the past couple weeks, but I’m officially done. For being in such a busy, prime location, the equipment is embarrassing—outdated, broken, and barely usable. I had to test three different treadmills before finding one that actually worked, and even then it was shaking the whole time I ran on it 💀. That’s not just inconvenient, it’s unsafe.

What makes it worse is that I actually reached out on the official 24 Hour Fitness website (like I was told to) and never heard anything back. Zero follow-up, zero accountability.

I’ve already switched to another 24 Hour Fitness a little further away and it’s a night-and-day difference—clean, updated machines, and way better overall. This location is honestly the worst I’ve been to, and it’s a shame because it should be one of the best

Unfortunately, my experience at this 24 Hour Fitness location has been consistently disappointing, especially when it comes to cleanliness and staff behavior.
The bathrooms and locker rooms are often dirty, with unpleasant odors that make the space feel neglected. basic cleaning doesn’t seem to happen regularly. It’s frustrating to pay for a membership and have to avoid the restrooms altogether.
To make matters worse, several pieces of equipment are always out of order with no sign of repair. It’s clear that maintenance is not a priority here, and it disrupts workouts when machines are consistently broken or unsafe to use.
Perhaps most frustrating is the staff — they seem more interested in being on their phones than actually helping members or maintaining the facility.
This location has a lot of potential, but unless management makes serious improvements in cleanliness, equipment upkeep, and staff professionalism, I can’t recommend it.

I've been coming here for awhile, and lately the quality of this gym has dropped dramatically. Bathroom is the filthiest gym bathrooms I've ever encountered. Faucets has been broken for months. This is specifically for the BodyPump Instructor, Diane who teaches in the evenings on Tues/Thursday at the HB Bella Terra location. She is an awesome instructor, easy to understand and follow, with a positive attitude. I have been going to her classes for the past 9 months and have been going ever since even during my pregnancy. For this location, there is always plenty of parking and the front desk is friendly and helpful when you need it. The location is older and sometimes the staff is behind in cleaning, but overall the equipment works, decently clear of obstacles, and I can get a good workout if needed. Overall I prefer this location over others since I can get my workout done at the times that I want with less parking issues and more self aware courteous gym members.

I really like this gym, has all the essentials todo a good workout. My only complaint is cleaning is not the best, its not horrible by any means but it woukd make the atmosphere feel better if it was more taken care of. My second complaint is that the 2nd floor is very hot and humid, in the summer I try not to go when its peak since it feels and smells like a sweat lodge.

The staff at the front desk is always extremely welcoming when I enter the gym. It makes me feel empowered and ready for my personal training session with Randee Van Vilet. I have made so much improvement since starting my fitness journey the beginning of the year. Randee's outgoing and bubbly personality makes working out fun. She maintains the perfect balance of pushing me but not too hard. I am constantly surprised by my progress every session, finding something new that I wasn't able to do before. She pushes her clients, but is also their biggest cheerleader which makes going working out with her extremely rewarding.

Every time I go to the steam room it is never on, but the sign still says open and working. I am a long-time member, after work I want to go to the steam room to relax. I wait for 40 minutes but it is never on. The staff never tells me what time the steam room is on or working. I call the staff to ask them what time the steam room is on, they do not answer and are so rude. I waited too long so I finally went home.

Hello, I’ve been going to Bella Terra 24 since 2011, at one time this gym was clean and machines were working and now the air conditioning went out for 3 weeks, half of treadmills don’t work and it’s not even 24 hour. Please close at 12:00am not 10pm . Please remodel .
The only reason I go there because of front desk clerks Benton and Trenton, they do make me feel welcome like I’m home

This is ridiculous. I came to this gym because the other 24hr wouldnt open on time. It's supposed to be 24 hours a day open. They open at "5am" its 5:30 am, and we are all out here standing waiting. First off I have to say don’t let the outside of the building fool you. This facility is one of the worst I’ve ever been to. The men’s locker room is disgusting and all the stuff in the showers are broken and filthy…On top of everything else I seldomly get greeted and the Hispanic cleaner that comes in the locker room at 9:30 am likes to give dirty looks and has a major attitude problem…If I were you I’d drive a few extra miles out of your way and go to the triangle square Costa Mesa location. The new manager, this white guy is so disrespectful and unprofessional. I dont know why they hiring him to work at this loacation. He stopped me and made me pay more than $10 a month even though I paid a lot for year because I bring my 11 YEAR OLD sister with me. She doesn't even workout, she just sit and wait for me to finish my workout.

$30USD for a drop in is rediculous. If I am paying that it should be a state of the art place not a rusty crowded stink hole. Also had to sign out barbell clips. 12 years of lifting and never had to do that. Also free 3 day pass is only available if you’re local. This play need an influx of capex asap.

I just don't understand the philosophy of 24 hour fitness. We want you to continue membership, but when I go to the gym a third of the machines are broken. Fix the broken things and you will increase membership. Instead it takes weeks before something gets fixed.

I have been to a lot of gyms over the last 40 years including being a member of 24hr fitness for the last 25 years. The 24hr fitness Huntington Beach Bella Terra location on Center Street is hands down the worst gym I have ever been to. 1. The parking is insufficient. 2. Only 1 of 6 sinks works in the restroom and the sink only puts out cold water. 3. The restrooms, sinks, and showers are extremely dirty and unkempt. 4. The showers are old with low pressure and you can see the person next to you through the moldy glass. 5. Several showers don't even work at all. 6. The lockers are old, crowded, and moldy. 7. The gym is small, older style equipment, and low selection of equipment. Without a doubt, the worst gym you will experience anywhere.

The club manager Ashley is the most kind, helpful person I have ever had the fortune of speaking with. Every question has been met with a professional, knowledgeable response. Gym is conveniently close to where I live but unfortunately it lacks the basic sanitation. In the 6 months that I have attended I have seen the maintenance staff at least three times. Sure you can chalk this is up to timing, however it the womens bathrooms is gross. Sinks and toilet bowls have stains and there is always some foul odor. Upstairs two to three machines are broken. I unfortunately made the error of buying a year round pass and am contractually obligated to go to make my moneys worth. Staff is there but they just hangout at the front. And the water bottle station upstairs has not been fixed or refilled, so the only that works is the one downstairs that tastes like chlorine.

24 has turned into a massive disappointment. Been a member for 15 years and am looking to shed my membership as soon as I can.
Machines constantly broken
Basketball court now used for practices and games , 24 used to ban this. If they're going to do this they have to put it on their website or app so I don't come all the way here and can't use their amenities.
Water fountains either 1) taste like chlorine 2) filter is past need replacing for water fill 3) water filling stations either done work or fill at a glacier pace. And you wonder why 24 struggles.

Cleaning supplies for the equipment do not look dirty, as do most of the equipment.

The bathrooms are downright nasty - I’ve used cleaner porta potties. Only one handwashing sink works and no soap.

Love this location. There is no shortage of action. I was offered substances when I was in the steam room and since it was my first time taking this substance it was free of cost. I took it and next thing I knew I woke up with a weird cannister in my nose. I decided to go to the weight bench to get a pump on after my steam. I was patiently waiting as there were two people in front using the bench. Or so I thought because really someone was using the bench to take their afternoon nap. The gentleman directly in front of me attempted to wake the man up and an argument between the two men quickly escalated into a knife fight, which provided excellent entertainment for a few minutes. Although I wasn't able to use the bench because I didn't want to get blood on my favorite workout shirt. No big deal as I just used a workout machine, and I only had to pay the guy in charge of that machine $25 per set, which he informed me was a discount. I went to the pool to cool off after my workout but to my surprise it was completely drained of water because it was being used as a gladiator style pit for dog fighting. I managed to catch one of the amazing fights to the death between a Rottweiler and a pit bull, I had $15 left so I put it on the pit bull but unfortunately the Rottweiler was victorious. All in all I had an excellent workout and would recommend everyone go there to workout. Thank you 24hour fitness!

I’ve been a member of 24 Hour Fitness for a while, but this location has left me speechless with how dirty and unhealthy it is compared to others I’ve visited. The showers are covered in mold, smell awful, and look like they haven’t been cleaned in ages. It’s incredibly unsanitary. The pool is just as bad — the water is so murky you can’t even see the person swimming next to you. Shockingly, the jacuzzi water is cleaner and clearer than the pool! On top of that, every other cardio machine seems to be broken. If the gym isn’t going to maintain basic health standards, it should be closed before members start getting sick.

Corey, the manager, was super awesome with helping me renew my gym membership! He was super friendly and made me feel welcome.
I do like that this gym is way less crowded than the 24 hour off Brookhurst. I've come in the early morning, midday and night, and never felt packed like sardines!
Some reviews mention machines being outdated, but they're not bad at all! They still work fine and you can put in a great workout.

Just a follow up from my last review...while addressing the easy to fix issues at this gym some things are still being ignored...Such as broken workout equipment for over two weeks...Aswell as the on going smell of urine throughout the restrooms...Urinals are literally falling off the wall and bathroom stalls continue to be unclean and unsanitary...Broken lovker doors or no doors at all...Just frustrating and completly baffled by this...I mean with all the money you guys make from memberships what is going on ? and Why can't you keep up with repairs like you keep up with extracting membership fees from people's bank accounts...SMH 🤷‍♀️

What is the operations manager doing? The floors are dirty the vents are dirty. The pool is foggy. The showers are low pressure. The clock in the pool area doesn’t work. Gym equipment is broken or outdated. Raising prices and not fixing anything what’s that about! And it’s not even 24 hours open

Staff are great! The facility itself, is terrible. Upstairs equipment is out dated and there are alot of machines that are out of service, including treadmills and weight machines. The showers/lockers are disgustingly dirty. Public Lockers in general won’t be the cleanest but usually they are the cleanest in the morning during opening. Not in this case. The showers had ants all over the place, some sinks did not work, and the showers didn’t have warm water, at least the one I used. The mirrors have not been cleaned for some time because you can tell by the thick residue. It’s a 24hr gym so don’t expect the four seasons, but it is very disappointing.

Bathrooms are always dirty and the most popular machines like the leg press and rear delt/pec fly are often out of service. It’s been over a month on the leg press. Hopefully management or corporate sees this because it’s not okay - especially the cleanliness part.

Also like many other people commented, how are you going to call yourself 24 hour fitness and close at 8pm on weekends? Time to start rebranding or else deliver on the one thing that gives you an advantage over other gyms.

This place is deplorable and such a poor excuse for a fitness center. So many machines broken and out of order and go days or weeks without being fixed. The entire gym is dirty at all times. The bathrooms are just as disgusting and dirty and half the sinks and air dryers don’t work. Sauna smells putrid all the time. Cleaning supplies are missing or far and in between. Paper towels are always gone. I’ve witnessed guest hurt themselves on machines that are in poor conditions. Planet fitness has better standards than this place and it’s such a shame to see such a lack of care to this particular location. Poor excuse of a gym and poor management.

Look I don’t hate it here.. I just want a semi clean environment and this is bordering the unclean. Suggestion, maybe the reception staff pick up a paper towel and spray bottle to clean the front door? The window and handles are smeared with people juices. I just kick the door open, but I shouldn’t have to.

Maybe other staff should have a schedule to go around and check the paper towels even once a day? Sometimes they’re all empty upstairs and that takes more than a day. Maybe not only refill the spray bottle but wipe down the area around it? The hook is brown. It’s nasty. I want to help keep this place clean after I use a machine but you make it difficult.

Can staff wipe the machines arms and stuff? There are years of dust and crud all over them and in them. Def feels icky but this is what I paid for I guess, to use dirty equipment since this is how this and the GG one is.

Bathroom is alright but could use a good deep clean or pressure wash.

Otherwise staff is alright. They stand and smile as I check in then chat until I leave. Might as well have a turnstile gate. You’d pay less in staffing.

First and foremost…. What does the branch management team even do? The gym is progressively getting worse. It’s dusty, old equipments that are in dire need of service, and the entire gym is looking so out of shape.

The name is 24 hours fitness implies it would open 24 hours, but most location don’t even open 24. Is this a bait and switch ? I’m not gunna do it … but is this ground for a class action lawsuit??

If the gym is listed to open at 5:00am, the doors should open at 5:00am. Some of us are on a tight schedule with work, family and life. Those of us affected we should have prorated fees for the time lost waiting for the staff until 5:30am or after. This has happened too many times.

This is my default gym. I like 24 and the staff here is great but this 24 next to bucca di beppo is falling apart, very dated. Been coming here for a year and no visual improvements. Showers leak, some machines are broken and poorly maintained. Theres 2 or 3 bikes that are broken as of last week. One threadmill also was broken. Locker room can use some upgrades. I had shoes stolen from me here last week while i was showering so definitely some shady people coming in. Also please change to a sports channel in the lockers. The drew Barrymore show is getting old lol. For 24 corporate, please invest some money in this gym to make it at least a little better. This is a convenient location and a lot of people come here.

All mens showers where out of body and hair wash, at 2pm. Not the first time this happens. Also, your corner sink hand sensor has been broken for over 1 year. Fix this your sinks please. Sauna was extra dirty as well, with a big ball of black hair by the drain. Let me know what time you refill and clean everything (if you do) so i can come at that time instead.

Havent been here in about 3 weeks but no change. Today the locker room s.ells like piss, only half the showers have hot water and the pnes that do are out of soap. Steam room smells like someone died in there.

When are they going to fix this place..

Came in today after a few months. Of course no change:
Broken shower head and a baby cockroach walking on the floor in the locker room. Yes, a roach. Next time I see it I will post a video. Several treadmills where broken or partially usable. A few step masters were out of service as well.

Why is everything in this gym broken all the time?!?! The elevator breaks, a lot of machines are broken, even the roof leaks!! Most of the treadmills don’t work properly, the place is very dirty (specially the bathrooms. They’re the dirtiest bathrooms from any 24 hr fitness I’ve ever been at) and it’s a mess at all times! The only pro of this gym is that the people at the front desk are friendly and it’s close to where I live, but besides from that, this gym is very run down. Needs renovation or at least maintenance of the equipment. Every week there’s a new thing broken and things don’t get repaired. I’ve been coming to this gym for a year now and this has always been a problem.

This gym is not an accommodating place for people looking for a training center. It lacks behind as it turns away potential customers who are visiting from out of town or potentially moving to town. The management, acting upon the owners wishes, does not allow visitors to use 3 day passes even after signup is completed. It’s unfair to the signee to designate what the rules are without explicitly stating them previous to signing an agreement or forms with personal information

A friend and I did a 3 day pass, and it wasn't worth going there at all. Building on the outside looks nice, but once you enter in, it just doesn't look good at all. We went upstairs and all the machines looked broken and not clean. When I went to the studio room, the mats were small, and they looked dirty. Later, my friend and I went on the stairs master and the stairs started moving on it's own and I almost fell from it. Staffs were pretty sweet, and their service was great! But, my issue with this place is that it's not clean. Please fix this building!

Terrible first impression… I’ve been to plenty of gyms throughout all of the OC and this one takes the cake for dirtiest… locker room floors are nearly black from dirt and grime, machines that were once white are yellow, liquid substance stains on glass fixtures on the machines that look to be there for ages, broken machines scattered throughout, and a heavy stench throughout the entire second floor. The cherry on-top of it all was watching a stair master break on the guy next to me near the end of my work out. Management is nice so i will leave it at 2 stars.

Poorly ran gym. Broken bikes, smells steam room, dirty sauna that is often down, a jacuzzi that is down several times a week, and now the pool down several days straight. Can't complain either. Your complaints don't go to anyone who cares to fix it. DISASTER!
