The gym hand sanitizers, paper towel dispensers are not re stoked most of the time I am working out, the machines are dirty with sweat marks and dust, and the "filtered" water dispenser is not on at the current moment on any of them. I wouldn't of posted this review but I spent a lot of money on my swim suite and the jacuzzi has so much chlorine in it, it actually faded my whole bathing suite in one use.

The gym is clean and never too crowded, which I really like. There are also three to four male staff members always on site, so it feels very safe. Unlike some other places that close early on Fridays, this gym has consistent opening hours every day, which makes it great for keeping a steady workout routine. Easily the most uncomfortable gym I have worked out in. Annoyed I bought a year membership without testing the place out more. Would it kill you to run the A/C or even just the fan to create some air circulation? Its constantly a little too warm and humid. A slight breeze would easily fix it. Their spray bottles were always broken so they replaced them with dispensers next to the paper towels and now those are empty half the time. The mens bathroom is in rough shape.

I wanted to take a moment to recognize Mahrai, who manages the front desk. Every time I come in, she greets me with such a warm, welcoming smile and genuinely friendly attitude. Even on days when I’m not in the best mood, her positive energy makes a difference and it’s clear she truly enjoys seeing members walk through the door.

What impresses me even more is that this isn’t something she does only for me. I’ve noticed she treats every single person who enters the gym with the same level of kindness and enthusiasm. I wanted to share some positive feedback about the 24 Hour Fitness at Irvine Spectrum. I actually live within walking distance of the Costa Mesa Metro 24 Hour Fitness, but after my recent experiences, I choose to make the 10-minute drive to Irvine instead.

The difference comes down to cleanliness. The Irvine Spectrum location is consistently clean and well-maintained, which makes a huge difference in the overall gym experience. I really appreciate that level of care and it’s worth going out of my way for.

Nothing against the Costa Mesa location employees. I do see them cleaning and pushing carts around. I know they’re working hard, but I think the issue goes deeper than just daily upkeep. That location feels like it needs a deeper solution, whether that’s a full deep clean, equipment refresh, or even some remodeling. It’s not something daily cleaning alone can solve, and it really shows when compared to Irvine.

I also want to give special recognition to Sydney at the front desk. I recently had some fraud on my card and needed to update my payment information. Despite handling multiple customers coming in at once, Sydney provided quick, efficient, and friendly service to everyone. Her professionalism really stood out.

Overall, great job to the Irvine Spectrum team for keeping this gym clean, organized, and welcoming. Thank you!

Way too busy at this location now. Nice new equipment, but ALL of it is ALWAYS in use. Probably because they close so early now. Might finally be time for a home gym setup.

2016 Original Review:
I weight train at this location 5-7 days a week. I've been a member for 13-14 years. They've been steadily making improvements to the facility ever since I first joined. All the staff members are good people. My only recommendation for them would be to add another power rack or two for squats, as well as a dedicated area/platform for deadlifting, although I wouldn't know where they would put them as the space in the weight area already seems pretty maxed out. There are definitely more than a few older and rarely used weight machines that could be removed to make some more room for new equipment. Either way though I'm very pleased with this place overall. Thumbs up.

This is my home gym and love the location, they just renovated it last December and has a great set of employees who work there. Absolutely love this gym! It has such a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that makes me feel at ease and at home here. Everyone is so welcoming and remembers you as you enter the door- making you want to come back! Brent is always smiling and is so genuine when he engages with the members here. I try to come here just about everyday and take several classes. Body pump, turbo kick live, body combat, or yoga they have it all! All of the instructors are masters of their craft and are so motivating! Christy, Mark, Mina and Russell are the classes I take the most- they’re all fantastic!
