I was in traveling and looking for a place to workout during a layover. 24 hour fitness told me that I could come and get a workout. The staff were amazing, especially Kenny, and the faculty had what I needed to not only get my workout in, but also showers to freshen up after a long day of travel. Would recommend this gym to anyone in the San Francisco area!

Today I was finally able to speak with Carlos, the manager of the Millberry and San Carlos locations. He is a truly respectful gentleman, and he very kindly tried to resolve my issue. His professionalism actually encouraged me to purchase training sessions as well. I am genuinely happy that I had the chance to speak with him, and I truly hope that 24 Hour Fitness continues to hire people like himβindividuals who understand customer service and basic human decency.
Unfortunately, this has not been my experience with Elanzo, the manager of the Redwood City location. Not only does he lack customer service skills, but he also seems unfamiliar with even the most basic principles of respectful behavior. It appears that he believes humiliating others somehow earns him respect or authority.

Recently retired from the United States Army and been in the area for work. I could not find a decent gym until I stumbled in this 24 hour fitness. The staff welcomed me with open arms, gave me a tour, educated me on their classes and all they have to offer. Will definitely be coming here. If your new to the area, and want a amazing gym, this should be your first choice !!!!

My main issue with this gym is the sales team. I signed up for a free pass to try the gym and when I showed up to workout I was stopped by a sales rep who was wearing a lot of big rings and weird necklaces. He kept trying to get me to sign up for a membership. I told him I was leaving the country for 7 months, the next day, and he said that I could not use a free pass because theyβre only for locals. I asked him if they had a day rate for military and he said he could give me a good price on a membership. He didnβt seem to understand that I was leaving the country. He made me pay $30 to workout! That is the craziest day rate ever, especially since the gym equipment was very sparse and low quality. Row machines are all broken and if you plan on doing anything high intensity, forget it, just go somewhere else.

There was poop in the shower this morning :( Oct 12th. I like this area but I noticed front desk doesnβt watch who comes in. A guy in front of me typed random numbers for the finger print scan and then just walked in. The kiosk said βsee team memberβ. Nobody stopped him. Itβs overcrowded as it is, hopefully they crack down on it.

I wanted to share my experience regarding the try-out policy and overall management approach at this location.
I came in really looking forward to trying out the gym and was greeted nicely by the front staff at first. However, shortly after, a sales manager named Jam pulled me aside and kept trying to convince me to sign up for a membership that same day β I had to decline several times, which made the experience uncomfortable.
To make things worse, I was later told I wasnβt eligible for a guest pass because I had tried a different location about 5β6 years ago. It wouldβve been nice if the website had mentioned that beforehand, instead of letting me think I could come in for a trial only to be denied and put through a sales pitch.
Overall, I hope management takes note of this and improves transparency and the guest experience.

Been coming here several months. Vince, the personal trainer, is the best! Will help you level up at your pace.
The gym facility itself is only OK. At peak hours itβs near impossible to get certain weight machines or free weight benches. Lots of cardio equipment though, and havenβt had any trouble there.
The menβs locker room is just a potpourri of β¦ all levels of activity mixed with sauna and steam room emissions, and perpetually damp floors. Lately Iβve seen fewer people and itβs been better!

After my neck injury in 2024, I had to stop taking Zumba classes. A few months ago, I joined the Millbrae gym, and by chance, I met my former Zumba instructor, Margie, in the women's locker room. she invited me to try her Silver Sneakers class - and I am so happy I did! the class is amazing, I truly believe if I keep coming I will continue to heal and get stronger. Thank you Margie for being such a great instructor and person.

In 2025 still not the best in Bay Area, there are no towels, not very clean and the smell is bad, too many people all the time, no swimming pool, no jacuzzi, no basketball area and expensive for nathing. I don't know why is it called 24 hour fitness if it's not
open 24 hours?. They do not deserve one star.

The only one reason why I didnβt cancel my subscription is due to amazing Zumba classes with Maria Del Pilar M. This lady is so energetic, positive and kind and elevate my internal and physical mood inside and outside. I never thought that I would live Zumba that much. Exercised and gym at off peak timing due to lesser crowd. Wanted to use the wet sauna, but it was not operating. I understand that cleaning is done 12pm-1pm daily. But it is already passed 3pm, yet it is not operating.
Ask the staff can he switched it on, he says need to ask the MANAGER. And MANAGER not around. He does not know how to switch it on.
No initiative to even call the MANAGER. Says he saw the MANAGER awhile ago and currently he is not around.
This is called Poor leadership. Canβt the MANAGER delegate the staff to switch on?
In that case, if you want to sell your membership, can i also need to wait till the MANAGER comes back to office and sales pitch me?
Terrible leadership. The only saving grace is the older asian male staff who always keep the gym and toilet clean.
He is the most hardworking guy who never communicate much.
