Feels like they want your monthly revenue but don’t want you to come in
If there was another nearby gym with working showers and sauna I would gladly cancel and go there.
When you do your visit, visit the showers, you’ll think twice

My locker was broken into and wallet stolen in July 2025—all cash gone. The thief hit multiple lockers at the same time. On top of that, it was very hard to make a police report—their online system does not even accept the gym's address. Recently the gym was renovated, but it seems that they are not turning the AC or fan on to air out the horrible (probably unhealthy) smell. It is very difficult to do cardio now. I'm looking for a clean and secure gym with a healthy environment. I give this location 2.5 stars.

Filthy! Why are the shower, locker and restrooms VERY DIRTY EVERY WEEKEND especially on Sundays?
Now, there’s no soap in the showers and most of the NEW shower heads are not working.

It’s now 4 weeks and the steam room is still NOT WORKING. Why? Lots of swimmers wearing street clothes and footwear. VERY UNSANITARY!

It’s Sunday and AS ALWAYS, the shower and locker rooms are VERY DIRTY, lots of trash and same with the pool and spa plus mold and mildew. 8th week and the spa is still NOT working. Why?

2nd week and the spa is still NOT working plus shower heads are still broken, pool and spa decks are dirty. Why?

One week and the spa is still broken, shower heads and pool clock are still not working, pool is dirty and upgrades are coming. Why not focus DAILY ON properly maintaining the basics?

The NEW shower heads are dismal, little to no water. Broken for weeks now causing long lines. Why?

EVERY SUNDAY, the lockers, restrooms, shower rooms are VERY DIRTY. Why? The pool clock is not working AGAIN. Some members are eating and wearing DIRTY street clothes, shoes, boxers in the pool, spa, sauna, steam room. The pool and spa are dirty AGAIN even after the Friday cleaning. Why?

Sauna was broken for a week and now the spa is AGAIN closed for a week. Why?

Spa is dirty and NOT working AGAIN. Why?

Once again, another check in problem! Front desk Alondra RUDELY lectured me on a new check in policy by the new manager Tony who was off today. You need to use the phone app or bring a valid ID. Question Tony, if these valuable items are stolen from your UNSAFE lockers, will you take responsibility? Or NOT?
Also, looks like cleanliness and sanitation took the long holiday weekend as trash from Friday & Saturday are still in the shower room and there’s NO SOAP! Shower heads are STILL MISSING, spa has sand and pool floor is dirty AGAIN!

NOW the spa and pool are OUT OF ORDER. Why? Is there a preventative maintenance in place?

Once again, the pool water is COLD for 6 weeks per Front Desk. The spa is dirty with sand in it. The showers are again missing shower heads and very dirty. Why?

Pool water is COLD! Why?

NO HOT WATER IN THE SHOWERS! Why? Lots of members are complaining.

I have been with LA Fitness for years and became a member here in May.
Jordan, Lilly, Erwin, Pavel are very nice, efficient, helpful and professional especially during my personal check in as the app does not work. It takes seconds! The managers James & Jazzi will let you wait. They constantly ask your name, birthday and telephone number even if I’m in the gym almost daily. Why?

The location and facilities have deteriorated with showers having no water, no shower heads, no soap, always dirty and slip hazard. The toilets and lockers are dirty especially during the weekend.

The pool, spa, sauna, steam room are dirty with mold & mildew.

In this club my husband's phone was stolen and also on the same day they even stole from someone. I understood from the conversation with the manager that this is not the first time, and the most important thing is that the administration is not doing anything. On our request to call the police, they answered that this is our problem and we must figure it out ourselves. don't buy his members and don't go here!!!!!

Well, I finally canceled my membership. Beyond disappointed, not just with the lack of maintenance and cleanliness, but also lack of weights. there are close from November 1st to the 18th members weren't told anything they just pointed at a little sign that went up a few days prior to the closing. They could have told members as they walked in daily. That, by the way, will be closing from November 1st through the 18th. Just a friendly reminder But they did. Went back to Crunch and saving a lot more now

9/10/25 around 5:48 AM, the man is clearly asleep on the mat area taking up space, & making it uncomfortable for other gym members. About 4 mats were unavailable as he was laying across & having the red exercise ball in front on him. A lady tapped him with her foot, he looked up, adjusted himself, & went back to sleep. A few employees were around that area as well & not one person addressed the issue. This isn't the first time this happens either.

Guest Beware - Predatory Practices

Upon arriving at the location after redeeming a First Time Free 3 Day Guest Pass, I was made aware that after they asked me why I was coming today "You cannot redeem the free guest pass as we don't activate these on holidays and if you're not interested in a membership" In which I made them aware I could be interested in a membership if I liked the gym, they called MGMT who just echoed the same message as I'm sure it's a practice to deny Free Guest Passes, especially on holidays like Labor Day as it allows them to extort money out of guests who would otherwise use the gym once and not again for the 24 hours it operates on some holidays. The very next lady walked in with the same free guest pass and was told the exact same thing which gives it away it is indeed a practice they are trained to do.

So be advised, that this gym will enact predatory practices in order to extract money from you, as this is a chain-wide practice, I'm sure the FTC, BBB, DCBA, DCA, and State Attorney General Rob Bonta would like to hear about this given FTC's recent lawsuit filed against LA Fitness for similar practices.

Regarding the gym itself, it feels very scuffed for lack of a better term. Weights for barbells and dumbbells' seem limited, leaving you to scavenge around and ask to borrow weights. I didn't even see any 2.5's around, let alone 5's. Most if not all machines are Hoist Machines which aren't the best and some were out of service with no sign indicating they were out of service. Restroom stalls had no toilet paper. The Gym has a pretty small footprint so you'll find yourself often times waiting to use whatever it is you want to use. The A/C is extremely lacking, leaving you sweating pretty heavily the whole session.

Out of principle, any thought of getting a membership here went out the window due to the predatory actions, but the gym itself just guarantees itself to be labeled as a second-hand gym.

I encourage others to report such predatory behavior to the FTC, BBB, DCBA, DCA, and State Attorney General in order for change to be enacted as seen being made by the FTC with LA Fitness.

This is by far the dirtiest 24 Hour Fitness location I’ve been to. The bathrooms and pool area are consistently full of trash, and I’ve noticed it stays unclean for days in a row. I visit other 24 Hour Fitness gyms, and they are much better maintained than this one. Management here really needs to step up their cleaning and upkeep — it makes the whole experience unpleasant.

Just finished my workout. Went back to my locker to put away my ear phones to use the sauna after a workout not even 15 min my locker was broken into. Took everything just left my car keys. Filed a report. In the front. Fortunately, I was able to locked all cards but dumb guy tried to use my card down the street at the Vons confronted him got my wallet back. I never got my gym bag back and chase card. There were two sketchy guys in the locker room. Don’t know how they even got in there. The funny part one of the guy that was in the locker room was at the Vons when I confronted the guy to get my wallet back. If you plan to come early in the morning, like midnight to five, just watch out for your stuff. Don’t know if these guys were members or they got in to take a shower and steal

My friends belongings got stolen out of his locker while he was swimming. Today I went into Mission Hills, very clean facility and lovely staff. I spoke with Daniel and Kenneth who were extremely helpful. I am coming from the Simi Valley location and just moved out here and had some questions regarding membership and the club in general. Both men were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, I was sad to leave my Simi 24, but if these staff members are like the rest, I will love it here! Thank you both.

I love the 24hr Fitness gym in Mission Hills,Ca!!!. The Staff are super friendly and truly care about the members and facility. The gym is clean and well maintained all the time. The members are very very friendly and share the machines with such courteous demeanors. I love the coaches because their attitudes are always positive and motivated. You are guaranteed to have a great workout and fun experience.

Though I didn't have an official training session with Max this last Wednesday. I truly appreciate the time he took to show me around the Mission Hills facility. He was kind and knowledgeable, and his encouragement felt genuine. He introduce me to a few stretches and machines I hadn't tried, or even considered. I really like them! Thanks to his guidance, I'm planning to start incorporating free weights into my routine. I left feeling motivated and excited to begin this strength-training journey. Thanks again, Max!
