This is the worst 24 hour fitness with customer service and management. There is extreme high theft and the managers don’t do anything about it. I have reported theft 4 times and to date they have not done anything nor have I been given updates. I had items stolen that cost me $1500 to retrieve and that was my car keys. Management is rude, inconsiderate and could care less. The filed manager never calls you back and to this date am still waiting for call
Update on the theft case I have brought it several times and I was told there’s no record of it. I have the report police was even there taking account of the thefts. Horrible people my opinion they were probably part of the problem due to lack of service and surveillance. The upgrades to the gym are terrible they took away machines that everyone used highly.

Update— Robert the manager is unresponsive to requests for cleaning. The aquatic facilities are filthy, not maintained, nor cleaned. There is abundant foam in the hot tub which indicates little to no chlorination and improper balance of chemicals. This poses a serious health risk to patrons.

They remodeled the gym about 7 months ago and everything is great. Only issue is that all barbells are “deadlift” bars. Which are used for everything including benching. There’s only 1 “power bar”. Using deadlift bars for benching is unsafe and can lead to injuries, I don’t know if they were chosen by accident or perhaps the owner doesn’t really know about gym equipment, but they should really consider replacing most with power bars. Atleast for the bench area so us, as customers feel safer.
Below the photos you can see power bar ( BLUE ) has more grip in the areas where we would place our hands to bench, which makes it safer and more comfortable for the customers.
As for the deadlift bar ( RED ) it has less grip, designed differently, and tends to roll more often so if your wrists give out for any reason, it will roll down on you. Thank you

I've been a 24 member for about 10-15 years now, and this is one of the best 24 facilities I've ever been to. Actually, it is the best. The machines look and feel well taken care, the place is super clean, and the folks are nice. You can tell people feel comfortable there because it's so well taken care of. It's rare that I feel compelled enough to leave a review, but after my first time there yesterday I just had to give these folks some love.

Disappointed with 24 Hour Fitness - Avoid at All Costs!
I have been a member of 24 Hour Fitness since 2002, and I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience. Today, I was denied access to the gym because my lifetime $99 membership was unexpectedly canceled without any explanation.
Despite speaking with a manager at my local gym, I received no answers. I was given a phone number to call customer service, but after multiple attempts, I experienced hang-ups and frustrating delays. Eventually, I spoke with someone who informed me that 24 Hour Fitness would not honor my membership type. I was told that an email and a letter were sent regarding this issue, but I never received either. Ironically, my credit card was still charged for my annual fee just days ago.
Over the past five years, I've noticed a significant decline in the quality of their facilities, and this experience has solidified my decision to stay away from 24 Hour Fitness. If you're considering joining, I would recommend looking elsewhere for a gym that values its members and provides better communication and service.

I recently visited 24 Hour Fitness for a day pass, and I was genuinely impressed by the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, Brian greeted me with a warm and professional attitude that immediately set a positive tone for my visit. The gym itself was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with a great selection of equipment and plenty of room to work out comfortably. Edit: Good gym. Good equipment to help push yourself. As I was going past my personal limits, gasped and exhausted, fatigue was beginning to set in. I tried to talk myself into another rep but my brain kept saying no. Inching slowly towards the exit, ready to call it quits for the day, enter Rocky. Rocky had seen me at my limits already, walking towards the exit but instead of letting me leave, Rocky graced me with some wisdom that helped me find some extra energy in my reserves. I was able to get in that one extra rep and felt so proud of myself for being able to do so. I never felt I needed a personal trainer before but, apparently I did need a Rocky by my side to help me get that extra little push and add that extra rep. Words cant describe how grateful I am so a simple "Thank you, Rocky " would have to do. Thank you for the push. Thank you for the wise words. Thank you for being there.

The front desk people, from my experience, have been been really helpful and nice.
It doesn't make up for how terribly the other staff keeps the place clean.

I see multiple dead roaches every time I go to this gym. The locker room is the dirtiest ive ever seen in any gym ive been to.
The showers are terrible. Half of the shower heads have no pressure and some don't even get cold.
The only upside to this place really is the consistently working sauna and steam room. Even then, they tend to be filthy as well.
The steam room smells like urine and it's grimy. As well as the sauna has disgustingly filthy grout and grime all over it.

Its a shame that they run this 24 hour this way. I've never actually contacted corporate but im about to contact corporate and make a formal complaint about this location. Its not sanitary or safe for anyone coming here, truthfully.

10/23 - I went last night, and found poop in one of the showers... Even more disgusting than usual.

Visited this gym , to see if I would switch gyms since this one is really close to my house .
But after being rudely greeted / treated by the guy in the front , I’m never coming back to a 24 hour fitness . How is he still working there being that way??

Carlo helped out, and was very thorough. There is an annual fee, mentioned at the end. It is for maintenance of the gym. Overall the walk through of the gym was very nice, mentioned the pool, and jacuzzi is deep cleaned once a month, but makes sure it stays clean weekly. Good experience and very kind.

A Terrible Experience!

I can’t believe how rude and disrespectful the front desk guy was — the one with those two big ear holes. He clearly has no idea what customer service means! Maybe he thought I didn’t deserve to be there just because I wanted to try the experience?

First, he looked at my driver’s license and arrogantly said my address was too far away to qualify for their “free three-day experience.” I told him my home is literally less than ten minutes from here! Then he reluctantly told me to enter the invitation code on the computer, and even while showing me around, his attitude was disgustingly impatient — like he couldn’t wait for me to leave.

He asked if I had been there before. I said yes, about ten years ago. Then he coldly said I didn’t qualify and would have to pay $30 if I wanted to try it today. Seriously? I’ve never seen such an unprofessional and disrespectful staff member. If you hate your job so much, quit it — don’t take it out on guests.

Because of him, your business just lost a potential customer — and I’ll make sure others know what kind of “service” they’ll get here.

Very pleased with my membership with 24 hours Fitness and especially excited about this location. The Monterey Park 24 Hour Fitness has a couple of relaxation machines which is a great value to me. It is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week which I really appreciate. The attendants at the front desk were friendly and efficient and I was especially impressed with David Valle who was friendly, and provided a high level of customer care and support. Moreover, the spa area (hot tub, sauna and steam room) worked well with optimal temperatures. However, because of the crowded day/evening and over use of chlorine it was a little smelly. This is a tough fix and I am sure that they will work this out in time. I highly recommend 24 Hour Fitness--I will continue to visit this location They have certainly earned 5 stars from me.

The worst 24Hour location I’ve ever been to. It’s always crowded, literally waiting for machines. The music is so loud you can’t have conversations. And don’t even get me started on the bathrooms. One men’s room stall has been out of order for months. The others always are wet underneath so you’re walking in dirty water and the sink area is moldy. This place needs to be shut down or completely renovated.

This gym is basuraaaaaaaa! Lol sorry not sorry. Definitely not the vibes at all. It’s hot stuffy and just not it at all. I’d never visit this location again, personally.

Not a cool gym, upstairs, The AC is set at 74...temperature reaches 84, 90 and above. Very hot and uncomfortable to workout like this.

What previous reviews have said. Pretty much it’s hotter inside the gym than it is outside. It’s currently 80 degrees outside and 88 jn the cardio area. Turn on the dang AC.

Paid for 1 year of membership at this facility . They shut down for remodeling , so I had to get planet fitness pass instead. Not only was I not offered any refund for the remodeling period, they auto renewed my membership here without my permission and are coming after me for $330 even tho I haven’t been there all year. Insanely shady business !! Facilities are disgusting too, full of homeless . Stay away!!!!
