Another Update: City of Pasadena has cited 24 Hour Fitness’ pool and hot tub. Hopefully 24 Hour finally steps up their maintenance.

Edit: this pool is filthy and has fecal matter floating throughout. The manager Tony has been notified about this several times over multiple months, with no resolution. There is no cleaning net and no way to remove solid particulates floating in the pool or settling on the bottom. It’s disgusting.

First off I want to start with the city we service in the Pasadena 24hr. I really feel like they listen. I also notice they always greeted every person that walks through the door by all the employees at the Pasadena 24 hr. I have been to several 24 hr and that is not always the case. You feel the acknowledgment. I had one experience recently were I spoke to C.Reyes and was asking about my bill and the premium increasing. Not only did he take the time to explain why that might be but he made me feel validated. I have been a 24 hr fitness gym junky for a while and I had also addressed to him that after covid the clubs have not been to par. Knowingly that he might not be able to do anything he suggested I speak to the manager. I do want to say the gym is clean it just needs renovation as most gyms in Southern California do. I hope with increase in premium that goes towards improvements in the facilities (starting with the restrooms) also start with the older gyms as they have been open and deserve the love as the newer gyms. Thank you to the staff for keeping it clean and making us feel welcomed and comfortable to be able to speak about our questions. Keep up the good work

I’ve been coming to this gym for a little over 2 years now. It’s right down the street from my apt and parking is reasonable considering this is Pasadena. One of my favorite perks of this location is I can always grab a bench or squat rack even at rush hour which is rare. Tons of equipment and 2 stories to work out across. They just recently got a hip thrust machine and i’m sold haha. Highly recommend this location and will continue to come while I live in Pasadena.

I had a great experience at 24 hr Pasadena so had to take the time to write a review. I’m from the Inland Empire but visit LA for work once or twice a week. I was super disappointed when i stopped by the Arcadia facility, it was so dirty i have not returned back made me appreciate how San Bernardino and Riv clean is! Pasadena was a breath of fresh air, clean and a cool building. Parking was a bit tricky but just because it was my first time visiting. I have to shout out Luis for being very welcoming and customer service oriented! Definitely found my gym when i’m visiting LA area!

Wanted to commend and congratulate Luis from the Clean crew in doing probably the best maintenance job for the mens locker, shower and bathroom areas. I get around and workout throughout LA, depending where I'm working that day. And as we all know some of these areas can be extremely dirty. Even the "more affluent" areas don't maintain and run their clubs as well as the Pasadena 24 hrs. I know we can take our service people for granted, but you gotta give credit for a job well done. Validated parking and a friendly workout crowd that make for a nice community here. On your phone between every set like me? The internet is strong at this location.
A worthy shout-out to managers Tony and Charlotte. These two and their staff greet every guest personally as you enter. Charlotte will drop anything she's doing to assist a guest; she is amazing! Hagop makes every guest feel like a VIP. A great staff can make a gym shine, and this crew slaps.

I’ve been coming to this gym for a while, and while it has a good selection of equipment and the staff is friendly, it’s disappointing that there’s no air conditioning. It gets extremely hot, especially during the summer, which makes workouts uncomfortable and sometimes even unsafe. NOT CLEAN HERE. I have been going here for years because it is relatively inexpensive. However, if "cleanliness is next to godliness," there is very little of either at this location.

There is a heavily used narrow stairway between the two central levels of the gym. The handrail has probably not been cleaned in years. This photo (May 21) is just one wipe of one side of the handrails. (And this is after 2 previous wipes ...and still there is layer upon layer of filth.

I have informed Front Desk staff, but management seems unresponsive.

If surfaces that are heavily used look like this, I'm sure you can imagine the sanitation level in general. This is really not acceptable.

Loved going to this location. Everything was set up well, loved every section, it was clean, historic, easy to get on a bench/rack. Never over crowded. The studio room was always available for me to warmup, bathrooms/showers always available, and the hot tub/pool always roomy.

Above all, the team member Chris was ALWAYS friendly and helpful. Always greeted me by name and helped me out with anything I needed.

I've been coming here for a year and I love this location. It's super close to my job and it is super convenient. It's a short 5 min walk. All the staff I have encountered is super friendly and helpful. Tony helped me sign up and made the process of on boarding super easy. It does get busy in the evening time but it's normal for any gym. The downside is the parking but it's Pasadena is there ever any parking in Pasadena?
