Everytime I come to this gym is needs to be cleaned. 1 clear toilet, trash cans are full, floors smudged with foot prints, none of the steam rooms are working in any of the 3 gyms in my area, and 24 hr fitness is NOT 24hrs. The gym is okay to workout, but the cleanliness is atrocious! Sadly, it's caused by the customers, but there should be someone checking the bathrooms, showers and equipment. Often there is used paper towels left behind on the equipment and they don't look like they have been wiped down in who knows how long. Each time I have seen the showers, they are the biggest disappointment. Ladies should be better, but there is always stacks of hair in nearly every shower and used paper towels and trash throughout. Mateo, please do something about this. I left a positive review for Moreno Valley, as it is a much cleaner location.

​This 24 Hour Fitness location has had plenty of time for improvements, yet basic maintenance remains consistently neglected. The overall cleanliness and upkeep are major issues that detract from the entire experience.
​The water fountain near the pool entrance is perpetually broken or malfunctioning. Even when it is working, it's often visibly dirty—a simple cleaning/polishing would at least show a commitment to hygiene.
​The showers and sinks are often filthy. While some of this is due to user carelessness, the clear lack of consistent and thorough staff maintenance is the primary problem.
​Most frustratingly, the steam room is routinely shut off around midnight. As a late-night user for whom the steam room and sauna are essential parts of my post-workout routine, this premature closure at a "24-hour" facility prevents me from completing my workout.
​If you plan to use this gym late at night or rely on core amenities, be prepared for disappointment. Management needs to significantly increase maintenance staffing and commit to actually keeping the full facility operational 24/7

24 hour is reknown for making an smooth appeal to an athletic mindset. BUT this gym deters from standardized hygene in the mens lockers. The floor are covered in filth, thier is human fluids all over the urinal floors, and the lockers inside and out are non functional due to mistreatment or faulry parts. If it were to get a reno in just upkeeping cleanliness, more members would stick around. Gym members pay to use the space. How can we do that when health is questioned? This isnt a fancy gym, but no matter, its a place to work on ones body, not protecting it from bacteria or illness.

-Pros: Open 24 hours, good selection of equipment, good amount of drinks choices available to buy, sauna/steam room, location is near freeway and restaurants.
-Cons: The guests are not greeted when arriving by some of the front desk staff. (Customer service is lacking) The workout equipment, water fountain gets broken/defective and takes forever to get it fixed, spray bottles need to be replaced/not working, paper towels run out and not replaced, bathroom is dirty at times, rounds need to be made by staff more often, the lights in the parking lot have not been fixed for people coming to the gym at night for a long time, opportunity for danger to happen.

My prediction is this place will be closed within a year. Today, they closed the men's locker room because they had had no males to clean it. Apparently the manager isn't bright enough to know there are such a thing as temporary employment agencies that can have someone out in about an hour.

The cleanliness of this place has always been an issue. The sides if the pool haven't been cleaned in years. On one bench in the locker room there's a spot of adhesive from some kind of sticker. That spot has been there since at least January and it's now mid-August. They've lowered the temp of the pool in an apparent attempt to save money.

Today may we'll be my last day going there.

Update: Called to see if the men's locker room would be closed again today. They said yes, it would be closed for cleaning. Time to find another gym that's not run so poorly.

I have been working out at 24 Hour Fitness on Madison in Riverside CA for six months, it’s an awesome gym close to me. They have state of the art equipment, newer machines than other gyms in the area that I have been to. The front staff are always friendly and helpful. Andrew is my trainer and he is the best. I have made a lot of progress with my goals since working with him. He has a masters degree and fully explains what exercises target which muscle groups, how to make the most of a workout, as well as and how to properly execute. He is encouraging and at the same time helping me to give my all. I highly recommend this gym and Andrew as a trainer. If you have work out goals, you will not be disappointed. Andrew takes his client’s goals seriously and you will see results, while having a great time.

I've been using this gym for a while and appreciate the facilities and equipment available. However, I believe there are some areas that need serious attention to better align with the gym's mission of promoting health and hygiene.

One ongoing concern is the cleanliness of the space, particularly in the men's locker room. There are visible stains throughout the facility, and unfortunately, the men's room often has a persistent unpleasant odor. Given the high traffic in these areas, more frequent and thorough cleaning would make a big difference in overall user experience.

Additionally, I've made several attempts to speak with the manager regarding these issues, but each time I’ve been told they are unavailable. It would be helpful to have a more visible management presence to address member feedback and ensure standards are being upheld.

I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I believe this gym has great potential with a few important improvements.

If you value your safety, beware of this location! I spoke to the general manager Mateo today regarding my 16 year old daughter who has been attending this gym since 2022. She has recently been experiencing safety issues. Adult men have recorded her working out and men have also followed her to her vehicle in the past two weeks. This location has no security. My daughter no longer feels safe at this gym. I explained this to Mateo and he cancelled her membership but would not provide a refund. We prepaid for a 2 year membership about 6 months ago and asked for a refund for the time remaining. I also called the 24 hour fitness corportate office and spoke to Lacey. She also refused to provide a refund and would not transfer me to a supervisor. Horrible customer service.

Since Carlos became the new manager at this 24 Hour Fitness location, the difference has been night and day. He’s really made it a point to clean the place up and stay on top of maintenance—and it shows.

The gym is noticeably cleaner, the equipment is well-kept, and the locker rooms are always freshly mopped and spotless. It’s clear there’s more pride being taken in the facility, and that makes a huge difference in the overall workout experience.

Shoutout to Carlos for stepping up and keeping the place in great shape. If you haven’t been in a while, it’s definitely worth another visit.

This gym has changed my life! I was injured in a terrible work accident and I haven’t been able to move in 5 years! Andrew is my personal trainer and he is amazing! Please don’t do trial here if you don’t want to chase several people to cancel. Talk to staff to cancel it 2 days after signing up, initially give you the run around about coming in person to do and only the Manager can do it, but in the end stated that she will have her manager cancel it. Mind you this was never disclosed during sign up. Noticed that I still got billed with monthly and annual fee, called them and staff informed me to talk to Manager, Carlos and he’s only available on certain days. Spoke with Carlos following day, and instead of apologizing , have the audacity to ask me if I received the cancellation email, like it was my fault, in which I responded, how would I know about your process, Britney told me on May 18, 2025, that she will have her manager cancel it and never informed me to expect a confirmation email. He then proceed to cancel it , but when asked re refund since I’ve been charged from their own process failure, he still want me to take another step in calling the GM, availble only on work week hours, to fix it. So fast for them to take you and your money, in, but procrastinate in canceling and reversing unauthorized charges. Hope this is not their strategy to milk people of their hard earned money, since anybody in the front can sign you up, but only certain people can cancel. Maybe they’re just hoping that you just suck it up and not speak up or follow through.

I have a personal trainer, Andrew, who has taken the time to show me the gym and feel comfortable using equipment. He also has showed me new exercises on equipment I would’ve never thought of using. That is a -1 star! Firstly, every time I go to this gym the restroom is so nasty that every walmart in Southern California is cleaner then that! I should know I deliver to all of them! This place needs night management and a custodian. I hate folding toilet paper because there is only a loose roll on the bar because only a woman is working and can't go in the man's bathroom! How would you like to fold toilet paper because the roll could be dropping on the floor all night to it's gone!? 🤔 and people poop on the walls too. I feel dirty just walking into the place. Been a member with them for many years, but stopped when COVID hit. Decided to sign back up 2 years ago and been a terrible experience with the staff and workers. They’re always saying something different and things just don’t add up. I’ve had their platinum annual membership with them for 2 years and this past year they have shorted me 2 months. My renewal date should’ve been changed from 5/30 to 7/18 because I didn’t renew with them right away in 2024 and when I finally decided to activate my account with them again I was told that my new renewal date will be when I activated my membership again 7/18/2024 instead of my old date 5/30. Fast forward to this year (2025) I get a letter in the mail from 24 hour fitness saying my renewal date is 5/30/2025 instead of 7/18/2025. I first thought it was a mistake on their end so I call the club for 2 weeks and been given the runaround and told maybe the employees last year told me the wrong thing or that things have changed form last year. So I’m wondering what happens to the months I missed last year because I was told my membership is inactive if I didn’t renew by 5/30/2024 (which I didn’t) I ended up renewing 7/18/2024 (which should’ve been my new renewal date). Now I’m being told I lose out from 5/302024-7/18/2024 (when my membership wasn’t active) that’s 49 days that I am owed this year because they are still cutting my renewal date to 5/30 instead of 7/18. None of the workers here at this club are helpful in trying to find a solution so I’ve had to reach out to corporate. I have also decided to cancel my membership with them and sign up with another 24 four fitness club in my area. Very unhappy with the staff here and if I could give them 0 stars I would.

The restrooms are always dirty. Trash all over the floor. The shower are disgusting. It needs better maintenance

I’ve been a member of this gym for several years, and it used to be one of the best in the area. Unfortunately, the quality of service has declined significantly. The restrooms and showers are extremely dirty—it looks like they haven’t been properly cleaned in weeks. There’s grime on the walls, sticky surfaces, and paper scattered all over. The pool and sauna areas also appear neglected and unsanitary. Even the machines look like they haven’t been wiped down in months.

While the staff is generally polite and professional, the lack of cleanliness is unacceptable for a facility of this kind. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes cleanliness and maintenance a top priority again.
