Women’s locker room is still a hot mess!
The excuse is that there is not a FEMALE STAFF MEMBER ON DUTY. HELLOOOOO - place a sign stating it’s closed, get it cleaned and open it back up. Surprised no one hasn’t gotten sick. The floor of the hot tub needs a thorough cleaning, the pool on the deep end the ladder railing need to be secured. This was yesterday 11/16/2025.

Absolutely filthy! The floors look like they haven’t been mopped in years! I changed clothes in the locker room once, but it was so dirty I wouldn’t do it again. The weight machines need maintenance, a little lubricant would help. The cardio equipment is plentiful, but hasn’t been cleaned, either.

I’ve been going to this location for about four years, and it’s gone downhill every single year. When I first joined, the gym was clean and well-kept — now it’s a mess almost every time I visit. The bathrooms, locker rooms, workout floor, sauna, and steam room are constantly dirty and clearly neglected.

The sauna has been broken for more than half the year (and last year it was out of order most of the time too). For how much they charge and how they market the place, you’d expect basic maintenance — but it’s obvious they’ve stopped caring.

I’m really disappointed with the state of this 24 Hour Fitness on Fulton. It honestly hurts to see how much it has gone downhill. Back in 2017–2018, this was one of the cleanest and best-maintained gyms in Sacramento — a place I truly enjoyed coming to.

Now, it’s the complete opposite. Most of the machines are broken or out of order, and the entire gym is filthy. There’s dust everywhere, debris on the floors, and it just feels neglected. I don’t know who the manager is, but they really need to step up, do a deep clean, and stay on top of maintenance.

This used to be a great gym, and it’s sad to see it in such poor condition.

I really enjoy the 24 Hr Fitness Fulton Ave Sacramento facility. The manager Erik and his friendly staff are very helpful when registering for Mary D's Silver Sneaker classes. Since I don't have a smart phone, they patiently take my registration information over the land line for her classes.

Mary is a great instructor, fun, and makes exercising bearable. Kudos to her.

The rest rooms leave a little to be desired, but that seems typical at other locations.

Overall, my experience at the Fulton Ave 24 Hr Fitness location has been positive.

The facilities of this gym chain are extremely dirty. In the main area, there are clumps of dust and trash everywhere. It’s hard to believe that such a large business can’t afford to vacuum the space. This place is so nasty dirty the pool water all last week was so murky looking. I asked about maintenance they said the pool was shocked on Monday yet when I was there on Tuesday Wednesday & Friday the water still looked very cloudy. I also went on two bicycles, trying to find out what my heart rate was, and neither bicycle had the capability of telling me my heart rate. The women’s changing area and shower area is extremely dirty. Toilet paper was in the drain in the handicap shower stall for a few days so it’s very evident that cleanliness is not something that’s important to the gym.

Mary D has outstanding SilverSneakers and Zumba classes and you can go at your own pace. All the instructors have great personalities! These classes are so fun I never want to miss them.

Seriously can’t rate this gym higher?!? I’ll never forget what Armando the front desk worker did for me. It was my first day back at the gym in years. I showed up nervous, insecure, and—tragically—without my gym shoes. I was ready to turn around when Armando noticed my distress. Without hesitation, he ripped off his own sneakers, handed them to me, and said, “They’re a half-size too big. You’ll grow into them.”

But it didn’t stop there.

When I got a cramp halfway through my treadmill warm-up, Armando leapt over the counter, slid across the hardwood like a soccer goalie, and gently stretched my hamstring while quoting inspirational lines from Rocky IV. As tears welled in my eyes, he handed me a protein shake—blended by hand, using only the power of his mind and unwavering belief in my potential.

I have been going here for years and it is a great gym with everything you need to get a good workout in! The staff is super amazing Armando, Macie, Garrett and Erik have helped me so much and are super nice and friendly!
