Let's be honest this place sucks, the ac never works, lots of broken machines, locker room , toilets , swimming area is dirty and nasty with lime and grime on the walls. The place is always packed with sweaty people and you will be lucky to get on the machine that you want. This place isn't even open 24 hours. Very sad that the way better Gold River location had to shut down after covid and this is what we have left to deal with if you live in the area. 2 stars for the convenience, other than that you're better off looking elsewhere.

I have been going to 24 hr fitness on Micron for 10+ years. I must say that they did an excellent job hiring Martina as the manager. She always smiles and is very friendly and helpful. Since she has been the manager, the equipment maintenance and repair is 100% better than it's ever been. I must also commend her on the cleanliness of the facility since her appearance. The janitor is very friendly and does an excellent job keeping the locker room and the other areas clean and nice looking. Although she has excelled in the most important aspects of her job, one of the most noticeable changes Martina has brought to 24 Fitness on Micron, is the fun positive vibe. From the Halloween Party with a live DJ, free haircuts, free massages, etc., to daily positive interactions she has with us members. She rocks! I again, say great job hiring her. The Men's bathroom/lockers has no AC. Due to lack of airflow, the toilet area STINKS. The urinal reeks. I only go to the bathroom if I can't hold it, and when I do use it I wear a mask. The showers have MOLD. Black mold. I want to use it, but not risking getting sick. Where is the health inspection crew??? Air conditioning would take care of these issues, but they are NON-EXISTENT.

This is a fantastic gym that has consistently and measurably improved in overall energy in the last year or so and always provides a positive gym experience. From the amazing general manger, who is clearly focused on delivering excellent customer service to members and ultra supportive to her super friendly and helpful staff this club is definitely one of the top clubs I’ve visited in my years of training. I was lucky enough to be present for the end of summer Block Party 🎈 that took place yesterday (8/25) and it was truly a blast to take part. The DJ was top notch and the vendors were all amazing! Events like these demonstrate how much members are valued and appreciated at this club. Kudos to Martina and her top level crew for the effort and hard work it took to put this event together and pull off a successful and memorable event for the members! Highly recommended club! 🙌 👏 💪🏼

I am updating this review to four stars. They have done much to improve this price. They even shut down the wet area on Fridays between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. to do a thorough cleaning. And they do a good job.
Generally the place is clean. But, I have to compliment the front desk personnel named Ty. You are always greeted with a smile, spray bottles are filled, trash bins have been emptied and not overflowing, and he even touches up the bathroom. This is the only front desk person I know that does all this extra duty and I think he should be commended for an excellent job

If you expect the same customer service here as you get at Planet Fitness, you will find yourself disappointed and dissatisfied. Never have I entered a Planet Fitness and failed to get acknowledged by staff. This gym is small, older, and usually quite crowded when I go there after work. Staff are friendly. Stephanie makes her Zumba classes challenging but fun! It's a great workout. The only problem is how overheated the classroom gets. They should rename the class "Hot Zumba"! Seriously, there's no airflow and it's just ridiculously hot in there. Please, someone fix the AC, or at least put some large fans in there, like the one they have right outside the door of the classroom. 🔥 🥵 🔥

Close way too early, daily. When I signed up for 24 this gym, which is a 5 minute drive from my house, it was open 24/7. Hence their name, 24 Hour Fitness. For some reason they think because of Covid they don’t have to go back to their normal hours…? Now I have drive 20+ minutes to other 24’s and spend the gas (which everyone knows cost an arm and a leg anymore) because you guys realized you could take advantage of the covid situation and still have the same number of members and make more money by not having to pay staff to work overnight. Absolute garbage company.

The corporate office needs to be more attentive in maintaining and repairing the machines at this gym on a more regular and timely basis.

1st picture Ab Crunch: This issue was reported by me on 4/9-25. Other members have said that this machine has been like this for many years. Ab Crunch machine still has loose seat with screws missing and height adjustment is still unstable.
2nd picture Leg Extension: This has been out of service for about a year.

The corporate office needs to be more attentive to thoroughly cleaning the bathrooms on a more timely basis.

It’s convenient. The pool area is fairly clean but people walk into the sauna with their workout shoes on, they have also had a broken leg extension machine for months. I was told a new one is in order, but still not fixed. It’s one of two, and arguments breakout over the one that is there. Bench press racks compete on space. Plates block other plate racks.

This gym is NOT clean. The sauna has bugs, the treadmills are ALL BROKEN - been broken for weeks and don’t seem like they will be fixing them anytime soon. The machines need to be oiled. The planet fitness is way cleaner… year later the steam room has mold in it. They have not shut it down. They still allow people to go in the steam room. The sauna is still dirty. I don’t think it’s ever been power wash. I don’t understand why the gym asked that we give reviews when they do not make the repairs or clean. It’s unacceptable for a gym. Why is it not 24 hours??? Covid is over we need 24 hours to be 24 hours. Please remove mold from steam room. Everyone knows it’s in there.

I am really sorry to have to give this facility such a low rating, because the staff seems genuinely interested in serving the membership better. In fact, they see almost apologetic to be affiliated with such a poor performing club. The facility is continually filthy, specially the locker rooms and toilets, and numerous machines are always out of order. The impression left with the members is that the facility is always on the edge of closing, so no additional investment in cleaning or repair is warranted. Such a pity.

ive been coming to this gym since 2015? i used to like it when it was 24hr but now as early as they open, it is so packed because of all the early birds. front staff is friendly. the equipment there needs some updating/replacing. very outdated. i wish the showers and steam room were cleaned daily. always smelling like mildew in the showers and the steam room smelled like urine yesterday. its a good location but definitely needs some care.

This gym is absolutely filthy. I'm really not sure how they stay open, and are not considered a health hazard. The showers in the women's locker room are covered in black mold from floor to ceiling. It's inside the soap dispensers, Inside the shower knob, in every single little crack and crevice and vent you can see. I've been to almost all the 24 hour fitness locations in the greater Sacramento area and this is the only one I've been to that is this dirty and smells so bad. I don't think I could come here again unless the locker rooms got a complete remodel, and even then, I'm not sure if I would trust the cleanliness of them.

They should’ve closed this location and kept sunrise/coloma location open. This gym is so small, literally falling apart. Sauna smells horrible and tiles everywhere looks disgusting.

I used to go to this gym over a year ago, and I rarely had issues with it. The staff were very friendly and they kept the gym pretty clean. If anyone was being too loud or problematic, they dealt with them swiftly, but in a gentle manner. Every now and then, there would be unusable machines and ceiling leaks, but that was the worst of it.

I'm not sure why all of a sudden I'm getting a bunch of emails from this gym, but it's getting annoying. I've emailed them back about unsubscribing (as instructed in the email they sent), but I received yet another email from them. I spoke to the current manager, Martina, because she's the one sending these emails, but she was extremely short, standoffish, and rude over the phone. Instead of being sympathetic and owning up to the issue, she just told me the emails are sent automatically and to block the email address. There's no reason to be annoyed at me when your system is the problem. I wasn't receiving these emails this time last year? The bare minimum thing she could have done was respond to my email when I first emailed her. Y'all should also probably look into this issue with your system so it's not contacting previous members. But yeah, I will absolutely be blocking her email. I just wonder if she always responds this way to people when they have issues at her gym. Definitely wouldn't want to have a membership here if she's in charge.

This is a false title. It's not 24hrs. Closing time are @ 8pm, 9pm and 10... 24hrs means 24hrs. Needs to change the name.

This location is not very well taken care of. Restrooms are not clean and in poor conditions, showers missing curtains, edges of the pool falling apart, members not following regulations are not approached by team members, machines are "ok" but not enough quantities,it is the closest location i have now, otherwise i would come to this one.

I workout at 24 Hour Fitness two to three times a week - I like the selection of equipment and don’t usually have to wait long to get the piece of equipment of set of weights I want to use. It does get crowded occasionally, and most 24 Hour Fitness centers are not open 24 hours anymore. But there can be found across the USA, so you can always get a workout, even when you’re traveling.

It's hard to even imagine a filthier gym! Right as you approach the men's locker room, you're hit with the nauseating smell of urine. Then, as you walk through into the swimming area, you smell some kind of mix of sewer and ammonia. I'm pretty sure it's dangerous to breathe this kind of air. The sauna is disturbingly disgusting: Inch thick filth inside the benches and still water on the floor. And again, you breathe that toasty, filthy air. Dirty and old equipment and stained ceilings inside the workout area make the place look and feel like something that's not even tolerated in the least developed countries of the globe. It is truly astonishing how this location got to this condition.

Small gym with a low ceiling. Noisy fans trying to cool the main room. Seems clean enough, but warm & humid. Not impressed enough to actually use this location. The gym on Hurley, in the Arden-Arcade area, is better.

7:23am yet another day that this so call 24hrs clubs is not open. This has become the norm for this club. Despite the multiple complaints, nothing has change. This happens at least 2-3 times a month. It's so inconvenient coming to get a workout done before work find out the club is not open. Despite their false advertisement of "24hrs fitness". We have no way to alert the manager, we are force to call a nearby club so they can then let their manager know so that person then alerts the "right" person.
This needs to change, I am paying for a service yet not gettng whats being promised to me. The only reason why I keep coming is because it was the only club nearby before PF opened but as soon as my membership expires, I'll be out of here. This clubs machine are so outdated, the club in general is so dirty and hazardous with broken machines, water on the floor during raining days due to faulty ceiling.
24hrs corporate people, you are failing us the customer paying our fees. DO something, AGAIN FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.

Therefore, I kindly request that the management considers extending the gym's operating hours to truly reflect its name as a 24-hour facility and implements measures to ensure the cleanliness of the facilities is maintained at all times.
