I wanted to shout out my man Alex from 24 /hr fitness here in Simi Valley. He got me plugged in for a membership in no time being it was my first time ever coming to the facility. Such a cool friendly guy who gave me a tour. I have been a member off and on for approx 16 years. Needless to say I’m writing this to state that I’m thoroughly impressed with the employees you have at this location. Lead by their manager Alex it is truly 1000x better to lift at 24 than I’ve ever seen in the past; as well in comparison to golds, equinox or crunch.
When you have team members actively learning people’s names and interacting with them on a daily basis, it sets them apart. I’ve notice both Alex and Chloe asking about your goals, your day and giving the positive push to lift it means something.
It feels like a true gym environment and brings back the feeling of the golden era of lifting.
24 hour fitness is lucky to have the people they do right now. I will remain a member until things change.

I’m a Thousand Oaks local but I’ve been coming to this location to do my personal training for the past 3 months. I like how spacious the training floor is. Please change your name to 15 hour gym, since you can’t seem to go back to a 24 hour schedule, since Covid 19. That’s long over now, so what’s the excuse? I used to come to the gym late at night, since that is usually when I have my free time. That is no longer an option.

My parents had a grandfathered membership at $99 a year, on contract. They had a credit card that was on file, that expired. 24 Hour didn’t let them know it expired, and when their time lapsed, they canceled the membership, and charged them $500 a year instead. Needless to say, they canceled their membership. I still have mine grandfathered in at $99 a year. Pretty much the only reason I still have a membership here, and because I travel nationwide.

They used to have a really nice outdoor area, that they have since lost. That was a massive downgrade to the gym.

Otherwise, the gym is always pretty clean. Some of the machines are a bit outdated, but they are still in decent shape.

I joined this gym a few months ago. But this Gym is really in need of a remodel. It’s old, and too much equipment is jammed together. I ended up canceling my membership because it just didn’t feel clean to me. Also, you cannot get a hold of customer service, they don’t answer the phone and you can’t get a live voice. I in past I would brag that this was one of the best gyms around. Now they closed the pool and outdoor workout area. Now they are just a basic weight gym. It is in a good location so safe to workout there. But close at 8 on fri sat and Sunday. They should close at the earliest 11 on these days. Will be canceling on my next renrollment. I really just go for zumba classes and more specifically to instructor Bella's classes. She brings fun and energy to the class that is such a great cardio work that also includes some squats and other calisthenics. The music and choreo she uses is always relevant. She includes strength building excercises that are engaging and fun. I gave 24 hr Fitness 4 stars because they never have sufficient zumba instructor substitutes and they should have the flooring sweeped/mopped/checked before class for unsafe conditions. But Bella's zumba classes gets 5 stars!

I hadn’t worked out since the world shut down with COVID in 2020. After 4 years of gaining weight, grief and depression, I joined Zumba with Bella and Turbokick with Sandie. My son trains with West Coast Basketball Team at 24 hour fitness in Simi Valley. I want to say that the front desk and staff are very friendly and the basketball court facilities are amazing. We are very lucky that we have a great gym 5 mins away from our house! We do miss the swimming pool thought, I hope they bring it back.

The employees are always welcoming when walking into the gym giving you a nice experience, the gym is very clean and has so many workout areas and has a great basketball gym.
