I just joined 24 Hour Fitness located at Crenshaw and PCH at city of Torrance. The place is great. It has brand new equipments and very friendly staff. I do not use the swimming pool, it looks clean. They have upbeat music throughout the gym. I joined here from another women only gym. The big difference is that this gym has plenty of equipments, I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a great gym.

They put old broken ellipticals, treadmills back. They are filthy garbage.
Bathrooms are awful. Place smells like dust.

I really enjoyed our new gym. Overall, it’s very clean, the equipment is in great condition, and the staff is super friendly. It’s a really nice environment to work out in!

The only detail I noticed is that the dumbbell lifting area is facing the street, whereas it would be more helpful to have mirrors there so people can check their posture. Instead, the assisted machines are placed in front of the mirrors, where the mirrors aren’t really as necessary. Just a small tweak like that would make it perfect. Thanks!

I can't recommend this gym and my trainer, Coach Brandan, highly enough!
The gym itself newly remodeled, has a great atmosphere—it's well-equipped, and has a really supportive community that motivates you to show up and do your best. Spa has a reputation for being exceptionally hot, reaching temperatures as high as 180°.
Coach Brandan is simply amazing. He took the time to understand my goals and create a personalized plan that has delivered incredible results, far beyond what I thought was possible. I've seen a huge improvement in my strength, muscle tone, and overall confidence since I started training with him 3 years ago.
What I appreciate most is his combination of being a top-notch professional and a genuinely supportive coach. He is incredibly knowledgeable about proper form and nutrition/weight loss, always explaining the 'why' behind each exercise. Proper exercise form is crucial for injury prevention and maximizing the effectiveness of a workout by targeting the correct muscles. Even on the toughest days, he keeps the sessions fun, challenging, and always have the right words to help me push through my limits, and I always leave feeling accomplished.

Beyond the workouts, his constant encouragement and check-ins outside of our sessions made it feel like a true team effort. This gym was closed for a remodel and they should of used that time to also give the gym a deep cleaning and repair the ventilation/air filtration and also the temperature. I went in on the 10th to check out what they did and the gym was hot musty 😳 and dirty. The restroom downstairs was wet humid and the metal hardware was rusty 😳 and moldy. Found a large metal staple in the sauna and put it in the trash before someone stepped on it. Entire pool area needs a pressure wash deep cleaning and sterilization. We pay a lot of money for a clean gym please clean this place up. The front desk people are nice. And I just signed up for the new restoration room so please clean it up in there so I can be comfortable. Thank you 😊

Finally I can say it’s updated. Have been a member for 20 yrs off and on and it’s finally gone thru renovations thank you, now I can say I am happy to be a member and look forward to coming for a good workout.
However the downstairs weights area the windows need a good tint or a shade because the sun hit you right into the eyes and it’s blinding.Hopefully they keep the place clean and sanitary. Thank you for the upgrade!! Look forward to many more amenities 😊

I love this 24hr Fitness location in Torrance/ PV. And I love Brendan who is my incredible trainer there! He's really made a difference in my fitness knowledge and my confidence at the gym. I am an active woman in her 60s with both knees "replaced" and Brendan has been incredible in helping me strengthen my legs and learn several excersises that I do with him as well as on my own too! Also, Brendan has a degree in Kinesiology so he really understands how the body works. The manager and staff and this location are great too.

I really like the new gym setup. It feels open and spacious, giving everyone plenty of room to work out on their favorite machines. However, the cardio section seems to have older equipment, and several women have mentioned concerns about it. It doesn’t bother me much since I rarely use those machines, but it might be worth looking into. I haven’t found the TRX warm up machine. Maybe it will be here later on

Equipment is not well maintained but I like the biceps machine upstairs due to my own shoulder issues. A/C has been mostly offline for years, was fixed last month (after summer) then went offline again a couple weeks ago. So sad. Used to be well maintained and managed but something went off the rails a while ago. I don’t want to see this location closed but serious changes need to occur!

Been a member for 10~ years. They’ve recently started renovating, most of the gym is closed. The notice came in email maybe two weeks after they started. My $400-500 something annual membership renewed 2 months prior.

They will not let me partially refund it, they will not let me freeze it. I’ve put up with this gyms stinky bathrooms for several years. All because it was convenient for me to attend.

Corporate told me to try other gyms, the next closest 24 in Long Beach recently lost their parking, and I’d now have to pay and walk several blocks. And because of its proximity to the police station and courthouse- you always have the pleasure of meeting lovely & interesting folks. Especially if you’re really testing the “24 hour” part of 24 hour.

I’m signing up with LA fitness, at least with them I know to keep my expectations low.

Update: Owner commented, telling me to contact them for “further investigation” and gave me the URL to do so. Thing is, I already did that. By email directly on 10/6/25, I received no reply. Then I used the help page he linked about two weeks later, and that’s where I got my answer, “from corporate”, as per my review. Corporate were the ones telling me to get bent. I’m not going out of my way to explain my situation for a third time, and expect a different result, only because I left this one star review. I’ve given thousands to this bankrupt company over 10 years, the least they could’ve done is offer to FREEZE my membership while their gym is closed.

This gym is the worst 24 hour fitness I have ever been in, half of the equipment is broken and outdated. The bathrooms are nasty with sinks and toilets out of order. A great disappointment for it to be considered a 24 hour fitness. Run outside instead the air is fresher…

24 Hour Fitness??? Really???
They close at 10 p.m. and even 8 p.m. on weekends — they should change their name to “16 Hour Fitness.”
The place is filthy, the equipment is always broken, old, and rusted.

I have been coming here for 5 years. End I enjoying it very much coming to this Gym. Is the best in the area. I konw there are remodeling it which is great. Carolina does a great job. Always welcoming with smile on her face. Personally, I think she is one of the best workers at this Gym. Thank you for employers like here.
