I have been member of 24 Hour for Fitness for a long time and I’ve been in many many locations and I was really blessed that I came across this location and the reason is there’s a guy named Fernando. He is one of the passionate amazing kind, respectful, and great person I ever met. He working as a service staff and cleaning stuff but he is amazing. He is unbelievable. I never seen any 24 Hour Fitness men’s locker rooms so clean so neat so fresh and I wanna bless him here and I want everyone they see him. Please leave a good review for him. He deserve it. He deserves the best unless clean after ourselves and be respectful to each other.

Pros: 1. You can get a decent workout.
2. It has what I need.
3. Adjustable benches are nice.
4. A good selection of machines
Cons:
1.Free weights are almost unusable unless your above avarage strong. Luckily for me I am.
2. Every air dryer is broken.
3. 25 plates are almost non existent
4. Anything below 25 is in the Nether Realm
5. It could just be my imagination but the smith machine stinks.
6. 1 or 2 barbells are missing
7. Some of the powerlifitng plates dont go inside the bars and sometimes get stuck inside the bars. (Saftey hazard if you ask me).

I go to this fitness center 6 days a week, and there is always something wrong. The women's showers are filthy, the outside shower by the pool only has cold water, and the steam room needs cleaning most of the time. Fernando and Maricela clean on a regular basis however, they need more maintenance personnel to help with up keep. Lauren at the front desk is very friendly and welcoming but the other staff are too busy on their phones to even greet you when you enter the facility. This is the closest facility to me and that is why I keep coming but I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION TO ANYONE.

Poor cleaning. What your seeing in the pictures are mold in the steamer. These workers are lazy to clean l. Cleaning is easy and doesn't take much to do. A few days I told a worker about this and told me how they will take care of the cleaning just shows you how lazy these working are

Amar 24 Hour Fitness for three weeks at night the men’s restroom has had no soap, the sink is constantly backed up, and the floor is covered with stagnant water for hours. This is unsanitary and needs immediate attention. I will be reporting this to the health department .

On the other side, Front Desk people may need some customer service training. When people walk in and you’re the first person people they see early in the morning, a simple hi or good morning goes a long way. Second, you see someone struggling to scan their code, part of your job description is to assist members and not watch them while you’re talking to your coworker. Customer service need to be better! Lack of eye contact, lack of professionalism, not very welcoming.

My first time here from Irvine. Parking lot is nice and big. The gym is big with lots of cardio and workout machines. Free weights are minimal though. The lighting in the cardio section is very poor and dim. The bathroom stinks. It's not the cleanest facility I've visited but has enough room and workout equipment to come and go.

Worst staff ever. Even a bank statement wasn’t accepted as proof of residency. Instead of being helpful, the two girls at the front desk seemed unhappy with their jobs and focused on nitpicking potential customers. It honestly felt like they were more interested in making the process difficult than welcoming new members. I am currently experiencing an issue with my service at 24. Once this is resolved, I will update my rating. Until then, this rating reflects their inability to process a refund.

Last month, I specifically called to freeze my account due to a physical injury. The representative assured me it was taken care of, and everything seemed fine. However, two days ago, 24 charged me the regular monthly rate. When I called back to resolve the issue, I was told by the representative that the manager would not approve a refund.

That’s three stars down.

I requested to speak directly with the manager to resolve this, and I am currently awaiting that call.

Additionally, for anyone considering signing up for monthly payments: why are customers forced to continue paying during a 6-month freeze, while yearly payers are not charged? How does charging during a freeze period benefit customers—or 24’s reputation for service?

This is my current rating until further notice.

Very entitled and authority abusing. I spent $202 dollars for a month and 4 days. Very tricky guy. Be careful signing up with these guys they charge $15 every-time you're late on a payment by one day I also paid $59 for the year enrollment $39 for my first month he charged me an additional month even though we were only 4 days into the month (so an additional $39) and then a $50 cancellation fee. In total I spent $202 dollars for two months. I heard UFC has a special for a $19 membership or $899 for 3 years! Unfortunately my finances are tight I could only afford the monthly costs but once I notice they keep trying to charge $15 everytime your late i realized I didn't want to trap myself and end up paying more than the value of the membership in late fees. I expressed to Emanuel (the manager) of my financial situation he didn't seem interested or concerned in the slightest and told me there's nothing he could do. However his front desk mentioned she noticed on some occasions he could help waive the late fee or help with the charge of the extra month I also spoke to someone from a different 24 and they said he should be able to prorate the last month since it's only 4 days in the month, however Emanuel was unconcerned in the slightest. His front desk Devin was also very rude. When I needed to make a payment I stated "hey I'd like to make a payment" he said "okay 😐" and we stood staring at each other for a while. I asked if he needed any of my information and he just directed me to the app, everyone here is very dismissive it's OVER CROWDED since the la puente mall location closed down. You're waiting 10-15 minutes everytime to use any equipment, can't use the stretching room because there's always classes no sauna. It's crazy because I would have stayed a member if I had just gotten a little help with that $15 late fee however he just saw me as a quick way to get more money that doesn't even go to him.

I’m concerned about the sauna every time I go in there it smells horrible, like armpit . ?? I wonder how often they clean the sauna . I come twice a day to this club. Recumbent bike, half are out of order for over a least a month. Air-conditioned has been leaking steadily for 2 weeks. This morning there are more buckets, an inch of water on the floor and a constant waterfall of water coming down? Updated review 8/9/2025 the gym has gone from bad , to horrible to unbearable. The A.C has been broken for weeks with leaking. It’s gotten so big that they had to close off four machines and there is a huge puddle which is a health hazard. The gym is humid and with the water just laying there who knows what kind of bacteria is growing underneath. All of the dumbbells are missing again , multiple machines are broken for weeks. This gym has no upkeep at all. If you do get a 24hour membership do not come to the walnut location.

Apparently you all haven't learned a thing about that class action lawsuit you guys had. You all decided to shut down the puente hills mall location but when the members predictably came to this location you all had the audacity to try charging us an extra $300 for an upgrade. I really hope nobody paid you guys a dime and you refused to allow us to talk to the manager too. Honestly very disappointed, this is a busy location and half of their machines are not working!! Most of the treadmills and stair-masters are out of service. They need to do better , really considering cancelling my membership and going with competitors.

UPDATE #3: I have contacted multiple people and still no response. Even though the 'businessowner' suggested i reach out, I still have received no communication. I was finally able to get my money back. I had to file dispute with credit card company and contacted BBB. I suggest anyone with issues to do the same.

UPDATE#2: Still no update. I visited multiple locations, emailed customer service multiple times, even spoke to the manager at the gym. Does anyone have a contact to get this taken care of. The manager I spoke to said they cant even do anything about this. So they have no problem taking your money but once you have a dispute all you get is silence

UPDATE: I reached out to customer service and no response. Manager has also not contacted me back yet. Instead they have disabled my membership. I had reached out to my bank to dispute charges.

I was unexpectedly charged three times for personal training — $300 each time. I originally paid for one month (4 sessions), which went smoothly. Then my trainer went on vacation and extended my billing cycle — I was charged again. A month later, after the trainer had quit, I was charged once more. There was no manager on site, and staff said they couldn’t help beyond canceling future charges. Just a heads-up: I paid over $900 and only received 3 sessions. Be cautious when signing up for personal training.

I've been coming here for almost a year now.
Sometimes, it can get overcrowded, but other gym goers are kind enough to rotate and share machinery. Staff is friendly and may even ask how the workout is going.

Overall, I would recommend that the gym is always open, accessible, and friendly.

When purchase the membership in June 2023, the staff there said to terminate the membership is very easy (simply call in before the annual membership ends over the phone and they will no longer charge the credit card on file). Kept the membership for 2 years. This year month of May, when calling a month before the next years membership fee being charged to my credit card on file, staff there said I must go into the gym that I signed up in person during standard business hours and only manager is able to assist. I called numerous times to speak to the manager and he is always in a meeting. I now have to dispute the charge via credit card company. Do not recommend to anyone.

My experience at 24hr Walnut was overall great!

The gym was clean and had other fellow powerlifters so I felt right at home. Although weights were pretty disorganized and scattered all over the place (which is probably due to the time that I worked out), there was a good amount of equipment for me to use.

Most notably, Jonathan at the front desk was helpful in getting me situated for my workout, as well as giving me a thorough tour of the gym.

No daría mi siquiera una estrella a este gimnasio, lo único único bueno que tiene es que es 24 hrs, de ahí en adelante todo está pésimo, las baños están terriblemente sucios 24/7, los aparatos siempre descompuestos, las áreas para sanitizar el equipo siempre están vacías o no sirven igual, todo el gym está siempre sucio por donde lo veas, y aparte está carísimo, los precios subieron y la calidad bajo ?? I really love this location and the amenities it offers, but I've noticed that the cleanliness especially in the girl’s lockers, could use some improvement. Given the membership costs, I think it's fair to expect a higher level of sanitation in the gym. It would be great to see the team implementing the cleaning schedule every 30 minutes again to help maintain a cleaner environment for everyone. Thanks for considering this feedback!

This 24 Hr location is what I expect from a health club. Great staff, maintained equipment and exceptionally clean.
My trainer, Briza, has turned my life around. I have the equipment that I need at my disposal. Keeping a gym clean is tough; Fernando and Maricella do an outstanding job keeping this place as clean as possible.

This is the closest gym to my house. Absolutely love the energy and motivation I get from some staff. I always see this guy around 6-7pm, tall, always has a smile on his face and is always helping me or anybody else out whenever we need anything really. I think he told me his name was Jonathan. Great guy, I also love that he leads by example and doesn’t just say what ever like other gym staff members. This guy knows what he’s talking about and the results show.

The gym was dope! By far my favorite 24. The gym was clean and I tried out a trainer for the first time and it completely changed my experience. Jonathon helped me and was a little intimidating at first because of how tall he is but he was actually really chill. He knows a lot about how to structure workouts and helped me out with my form. I would 100% recommend he definitely enjoys what he's does and knows how to explain things good. Definitely going to schedule more sessions!

Eh. Okay at best. Not a bad facility, but definitely needs some renovations. Have seen roaches in the locker room a while back but not recently. most of the machines are missing pins or showing wear and tear. Several treadmills are disabled causing long lines, and random private classes not posted on the calendar so limited access to the studio during the day. Usable, but inconvenient to some.

Its taken sometime to write this review, as i was unsure if it would be beneficial, to myself or others. The truth is, i enjoy every aspect of my membership, however this facility is a far from the reasoning as to why. Id like to preface this with i have an extensive background in customer service, details matter (in every industry). Lets start with the staffing, no one seems to know any details of promotions, or clarification on previous memberships- etc. The lack of knowledge is more of an annoyance, when i have to wait to speak with a manager who wont be in till mid day to receive clarification. Next, you'll often find the front staffing enjoy their own company or their friends as they indulge in social hour vs, greeting customers (this goes for any time of day, anything after 10 pm forget any type of greeting) from associates.

Moving on to the facility itself, for what you pay expect more of a Planet Fitness (no offense) type of facility. The women's restroom has had a broken dryer since I've rejoined back in February of this year (Its now May). It shouldn't be the position of a customer to advise management of broken equipment, as this should be verified from them. I move on from my rant and now to the bathrooms, I would gladly advise Loves Truckstop maintains their bathrooms better than this facility. Anytime of day, expect to have the restroom completely disgusting, overfilled trash cans, well never enough toilet paper. Lastly the weight lighting floor, 24 hour "encourages" the customer to maintain a clean floor/machines and offers multiple stations to spray paper towels with disinfectant's - You'll never find a station that is complete. You'll be with paper towels and no disinfectant, or a broken disinfectant bottle, or on a lucky day, neither.
