I booked a women’s strength training class at 3R on ClassPass after a few months out of the gym (apparently it’s been closer to 6 months since I’ve lifted 😬) and I’ve been struggling to motivate myself. I booked this class and had no expectations. The location is upstairs all the way around the hallway and is a pretty chill gym setup.

Brandon introduced himself to me right away and said it was an unusual week because people are traveling, so I got lucky and got a one on one strength class! He really knows what he’s doing. He’s been in it a long time and is passionate and well-educated. He knew exactly what my body needed and what would support my profession (bodywork). He’s super knowledgeable and motivates you with gentle encouragement. Definitely check this gym out .

I’ve been going to Brandon for a little over two years now and he has been SUCH a game changer! I sought him out because I knew I was approaching the dreaded perimenopause phase of my life and that growing muscles would be extremely challenging if I didn’t start early enough. I was what you would call “skinny fat“ and I had no muscle to my name. I knew strength training would be a life long commitment and I had to start sooner than later. Brandon started with a really thorough assessment of where my weaknesses were and built me a program from there. His knowledge of the human body and functional movements is why I chose him. Many trainers just make you lift weights but Brandon’s different. He’s tailored my workouts to strengthen my weak areas, improving muscles that support my everyday movements. The sessions are always different but the foundational exercises don’t change which bring amazing results. As we’ve worked together over these past couple years, I’ve seen my strength change profoundly. I can now lift suitcases over my head into the overhead bin, carry giant boxes, and am overall more agile stronger and fitter. I don’t look bulky and I feel so good in my body. Strength training has also improved my focus, clarity, and attention. I can’t recommend Brandon enough. If you’re questioning whether you should start training at 3R Personal Training - Question no further and just do it!✨💪🏼

I cannot recommend Brandon enough. His personal training workouts are so smart, effective, and efficient. He listens to your goals, gets you to them, and then beyond. I have chronic pain and several back issues, and Brandon knew exactly how to get me to strengthen without injury. He helped get my nutrition on track in a way that is reasonable and realistic (no fad diets or gimmicks). My body composition completely changed working with Brandon, and the best part is that the process was actually fun. He makes the workouts so enjoyable (even when they don't seem like they should be), and he has such a fun personality that you can't help but to love being in the gym. If personal training isn't what you're after, he offers awesome group classes. Additionally, his 21 day and 45 day challenges are such a great way to either jump-start your fitness, or shake up your normal routine and really challenge yourself. Whatever it is that you're looking for, Brandon is THE guy you want. I can't say enough wonderful things about him and his training.

Love the results I've gotten since working with Brandon "B" at 3R. He takes care to ensure movements are done properly, and actually addresses the root cause of issues instead of just doing cookie cutter workouts. He makes sure that each movement serves a purpose in getting you closer to your goal. He always listens when I express a pain or soreness I'd like to address, and he is able to quickly accommodate and adjust the workout so I'm moving to fix the actual problem and doesn't just push me to force a movement through the pain. I've gotten stronger and more toned, and I've been able to check two audacious personal fitness goals off my list since starting with him! I highly recommend you work with him if you're wanting to see lasting results!

Group training at 3R is the highlight of my week! I feel so fortunate to have access to such an amazingly qualified and experienced trainer, Coach Brandon Cheeks. I’m progressing in my strength and mobility training and I hope to train here for a long time to come. Last year, I had plantar fasciitis and Brandon personalized a stretching protocol for me to follow that helped resolve the issue. Brandon is always positive, challenging and encouraging. The gym is a perfect size with nice equipment and amenities like a shower and juice bar. It’s conveniently located off the 5 freeway at Old Town exit. If you’re familiar with Culture Shock Dance Studio, 3R is on the second floor by the first stairwell!
