A good personal trainer is also a good psychologist.

One of the main differences between "fit" people and "unhealthy" people is that "fit" people actually enjoy exercise, while "unhealthy" people regard it as an obligation or a chore. This is usually because they are introduced to sports and fitness by cruel and/or unpleasent people at an impressionable age and this conditions them to hate it.

If you aren't conditioned to actually ENJOY excercise, you will never be able to "force" yourself to do it with enough regularity to make any long term difference.

I found that 805 Get fit, beyond just providing instruction in proper workout form and advice for healthy living, actively focused on repairing my attitude towards fitness until I found fitness to be something enjoyable for it's own sake. I found myself working out even on days I wasn't scheduled to do so, learning to get a "high" from excercise the same way you'd get from drugs and alcohol, "hedonistic fitness" if you will.

I used to weigh 310 pounds (at my heaviest) and could do maybe 5 pushups and zero pullups. Now I weigh 189 pounds, can do 20 pushups and seven pullups. I hope to keep improving these results as I continue my training, not because I plan on becoming a competitive athlete or body builder, but because it feels so good.

This sort of change would not have been possible if I had not learned how to "enjoy" excercise as an end in and of itself. Excercise had to become something I would like doing, even if I knew it would not improve my health or handsomeness (thought it definitely has). 805 Get fit was instrumental in this change in attitude and thought-structure.

I have been training with this company for a few months. They are very professional and responsive. My trainer tailors my workouts to help me in the areas that I need help. I also like that they are flexible about changing workouts when I need to change.
