Stew and Bruce are wonderful, very helpful, cool, and understanding. I enjoyed my time being at Able Body Fitness. I like how it's always peaceful and quiet. If you enjoy peace and quiet this will be a good place to come and work out.

This place just opened two doors to the left of the post office. It used to be Combat Soccer. What the new owner has done with the space is AMAZING. I had to do a double take to make sure it is the same place.
Modern, state of the art, clean and welcoming. An IDEAL place to get away from the phony glitz, warehouse feel of large chain gyms.
I became a member. Stu (the owner) is a very experienced man who pays good attention to his clients and has a ton of advice if you want it. Also so convenient and close for folks in Land Park, SLP and Greenhaven

I’ve been training with Willard Gaball for about 2 months now. When I came in originally, I was so out of shape and tired. No balance or strength. Felt like I couldn’t hold a pose. Willard has not only given me exercises to do to strengthen, but walks me through each move. Takes his time to help me understand what muscle group I’m using and how it should feel in my body. The trainers work together and are so supportive to help you accomplish your physical goals. This was the best decision. If you want to see results and don’t want to deal with the show and overcrowding of the bigger gym. This is the spot. Worth every penny when you physically feel better so quick. The trainers I’ve had in the past were hard to follow. No connections and I always felt dumb leaving the gym. Not here. Thanks Willard and Stu!

I met Willard Gaball when he started training with Stu (the owner). He studied to be a certified trainer.
At the present, Willard is my trainer. I train twice a week. I look forward to my training sessions. If Willard needs advice from another trainer, he asks.
I want to learn. Willard is teaching me so much.
There are times when we train with another trainer and their client. I like those sessions.
Willard corrects my form when I need it. He praises me when I work hard. He has given me a list of exercises to do when I’m not training which I find very helpful.
He asks me what my fitness goals are and helps me accomplish those goals!

Able Body is very welcoming and low-stress. Had Nick as a personal trainer to introduce me to the gym, equipment, and the exercises I need to do to get the results I want. He was very easy to be around, met me where I was and pushed me further. Ready now to work out on my own.

You get a lot at this gym. The knowledgeable trainers are very supportive and motivating, and put emphasis on teaching you proper form so you won't injure yourself. The varied equipment is clean and modern. Stu always goes the extra mile to make sure you get your needs met so you can accomplish your fitness goals and have fun doing it. This place is really helping me to make some positive changes. Highly recommend.

Been working out with Stuart for a while now primarily to see if I could gain mobility on my ankle. I have suffered from sub-talar arthritis for years and the only medical option offered so far has been a complete fusion, which I'm trying to avoid. So Stuart has been constantly coming up with new ways to get it to move which has resulted in better balance, mobility, and quality of life. Most of this has just been in my day-to-day activities, but had a chance to go to the mountains recently and hike with my sister-in-law who is quite fit and times her hikes. Not only was I able to keep up, it felt like the clock had been set back about 10 years based on my experience hiking with her. Only at the end with a steep downhill and gravely conditions did I have to slow down. I told Stuart at the gym today, and he immediately started coming up with exercises to improve my downhill performance. I can't wait for ski season which I have enjoyed less and less over the years as my ankle pain has increased and mobility decreased. Stuart is the most creative guy I've ever met when it comes to devising exercises, and that includes dozens of physical therapists and other personal trainers I've worked with since my arthritis diagnosis. He can help. Plus it's a great gym set up which I can use on my own time as well. Just wanted to say thank you. The results speak for themselves.

Stu delivers! Been here 2x/week for 2 1/2 months and we have worked through exactly what I came here for. He listens, he responds, and he has taught me so much that makes it easier to keep up with the exercises that make me feel so much better. He cares! And he is whip smart about physiology, proper limits and overall strength training. Nathan is an excellent complement and together they have got me loving my workout. Highly recommend, if, like me, you were at all hesitant about giving them a try. Do it. You will be glad you did.

This place really is a gem. Stu and his team create a really welcoming and friendly place to improve your health and laugh along the way. I'm actually a quite serious lifter who had taken a long break from the gym and needed a coach to motivate me to get back into routine. What I thought I'd get was professional performance based training that would get me stronger and more capable. I did get that. The real surprise were the friends I made along the way. Everyone says hi when you walk in. Likely, you'll end up with a nickname and people cheer you on when they see you're really working hard.
Much of the membership base are seniors working to gain better mobility, strength and ability to do more. I've seen one woman come in with a walker and nurse ditch both of those in two months. Seeing her having such difficulty walking in to now doing bounding exercises is really a sign of how great Stu and his team are at working at the appropriate rate pace/load and making huge improvements in people's lives.
I'm not a senior (yet) but my wife and I really enjoy training at Able Body Fitness. She feels a lot stronger and is able to apply her training to her climbing ambitions. And the strength and conditioning training has really made a difference in my energy, mood and self image. I can't recommend Able Body Fitness enough.

I have been going to Able Body Fitness since it first opened, and my experience has been awesome. I appreciate having access to the gym at all hours of the day, which gives me plenty of flexibility with my busy schedule. Another thing I love is all the different equipment available to use. Stuart, the owner, and his staff have created a gym that is not only very professional but welcoming. My trainer, Josue (Sway), has been incredibly motivating and has helped me come so far in my fitness journey. In addition to tailoring my workouts, he has given me a lot of tips and direction on meal planning. Overall, I really appreciate this gym and its staff, ESPECIALLY my trainer Sway. It is a great gym for anyone new or experienced.

Gyms make me seriously anxious. I managed to walk into Able Body and immediately knew this was more than any gym.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. Cesar worked with me to get over my anxiety and build strength.
The entire staff is positive and encouraging. Owner Stuart has built a great business.

I’ve been going to Ablebody for about 9 months. I can’t speak highly enough of the staff. Stu can quickly access where you need help and works with you to improve beyond where you think you can go. My stamina, strength and posture are so much better than before I started coming.

Stu is a first-class fitness instructor! He knows how to motivate you to push yourself further and make progress in your workouts. His is always filled with energy and enthusiasm, and he really encourages you to challenge yourself. One of the best personel trainers in the area! Additionally, I highly recommend Sue Marie as a massage therapist onsite. She is knowledgeable and skilled in her craft.

This is my favorite gym in Sacramento! All of the trainers are very knowledgable and custom tailor the workouts to each individual client. The owner, Stu, has really made the space inviting and all of the equipment is high quality. The staff is very helpful and kind as well.

Able Body fitness has a staff which truly goes above and beyond what you would expect of any gym. The small gym aspect allows the staff to really facilitate individual needs. I am always amazed by Stu's vast knowledge, he goes above and beyond as a physical trainer and truly looks for ways to heal the client. You are not just getting stronger or faster, you are gaining a more able body.
The complete holistic approach provided by the staff of this facility succeeds far beyond any approach you'd get at a corporate gym. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of compassionate healing to accompany their training goals.

I’ve only been working with owner Stu for 2 months but have already made great progress in building core and stability. A small but state-of-the-art facility with truly dedicated and knowledgeable staff and personized attention geared to your goals and body needs. Also great nutritional advice without the preaching or upselling all too common these days. Fair warning: it’s not just a gym your signing onto — there’s homework too!

Stu and Sway at Able Body Fitness are beyond AMAZING! While going through a tough divorce in the beginning of the year, I was overweight and depressed. I started training with Sway in October 2022 weighing 221 lbs. in a size 22 and XXL. Sway has not only helped me physically with my weight loss, help my balance, and core strength but with nutrition do's and don'ts. Sway and Stu really care, and they both take the time to explain what the machines do and are always giving positive reinforcement when you feel like you can't do it anymore. There have been some really tough times just in my personal life that carried into my workout session, and Sway was more than a 'trainer" he made sure my "mind was right" before really diving into my workout. He always responds whenever I have questions or concerns no matter what time of day. Also, Stu - the amazing owner is ALWAYS there and has SO much knowledge of the industry that I literally learn something new every time I talk to him.
I drive from Rocklin (30 min drive one way) every week just to be a part of Able Body Fitness, because it is WAY more than a "Gym." I am proud to say I now weigh 185lbs (at the moment) and in a size 14. I also just bought a size SMALL! in Adidas sweats! The only time I have ever had an "S" regarding my clothes is the "S" in PLUS. Now after seeing my weight loss journey, I have 3 co-workers that drive from Folsom, Antelope, and Roseville to train with Sway. I can easily say that they have given me my life back and I am forever grateful!!!

I have worked with the owner Stu for about five years. He is very knowledgeable and can suggest many exercises to achieve the same outcome. He has been in the field over 20 years and specializes in restorative work. He is positive and encouraging to work with.
