The lady that cleans the bathrooms always waits outside of it when im using it or if im in the shower she will be outside of the door very creepy and disturbing been happening everyday for over a week now. Always hot in there feels like no ac. There are termites upstairs and ants in the bathroom and showers. Small selection of machines. People always sitting on phones not working out just talking and hanging out. Rules not enforced. Energy is low and music is not motivating. People are not friendly and will rather just stare at you or come next to you and be weird. The water dispenser doesnt get cold though it says cold. Hard to recommend this place

i give this place one star because they made me feel uncomfortable about exposing maybe 3 inches of midriff which is acceptable at other gyms but here it’s not. everything else on my body had been fully covered. i dont know why im paying for a gym that are men telling me about my outfit choices to workout in. i understand the rule about not wearing an outfit with too much exposed skin but this was not the case here. im honestly disappointed.

I’ve been a member of several gyms in SB area in the last decade and I wish I visited AC4 Fitness sooner. The place has everything you needed, is spotless, and has the nicest staff. And don’t forget it’s open 24/7. Wait, what?! Yes, you read it right: it’s open 24/7. Best gym ever!

I liked this gym- for the price, the facilities have all the equipment and space one could need, the staff is cordial and helpful if needed, and the space is always clean. However, the management has repeatedly shown that they believe the pandemic is a hoax and for that they have lost my respect.

None of the staff wear masks, and while yes, they do have the guidelines posted on the door, the attendants at the desk tell everyone who enters wearing a mask that they don't need to wear it. Note how none of the responses to comments deny this fact. The blatant disregard of the law at a health establishment is shocking. Do better.

Thank you for being open! I appreciate the precautions that you have taken during the pandemic. This is the best gym in town with great rates. It’s weird that people are leaving reviews about your employees not washing down equipment- there are bottles of disinfectant and towels everywhere and it is the responsibility of the person who used the machine to wipe it down.

I stopped my membership cause I didn’t feel safe. Their covid pre-cautions are superficial, like a song and dance for the PHO. The employees don’t social distance, they all wear their mask around their chin or not at all. The employees cleaning and disinfecting are either wearing their masks around their chin or not at all (seriously no mask while cleaning). It’s primarily the older employees and the owner, some of the younger ones have some integrity and wear a mask like a normal person would.
I’m fairly certain they think covid is a hoax and don’t care about the guidelines, they just don’t want to go under.
Which is understandable, but this poor effort they give to keep people safe is actually contributing to the continuation of lockdown.
I know going to gyms is a health risk right now, but this one is not set up to keep you safe from the pandemic. I don’t agree with all the restrictions put on health clubs and small businesses but this is how people get sick.
direct message to AC4: either follow the guidelines correctly or not at all. I see other health clubs struggling just as much, but still make an honest effort. The economic impact from covid isn’t even an excuse for taking poor precautions like this, blatant neglect. Poor business ethics and shame on you. Covid is a real concern to some people. Do it right or not at all.

I’m cancelling my membership because AC4 doesn’t seem to care about keeping their patrons safe at all. I get that it’s risky to go to any gym during these times but come on AC4 you can at least TRY. Every time I go in I see employees not wearing masks, I’ve never seen an employee clean any equipment, they haven’t even spaced out the equipment at all so chances are high that someone will hop on a machine that’s 1 foot away from you. It’s like they don’t care enough to do the BARE minimum. It seems like AC4 just put out a couple of hand sanitizers and decided that was enough during a global pandemic.

But the cherry on top is when they sent out an email which read: “Regarding your safety, there is GREAT NEWS! Studies throughout the US and Europe have concluded that gyms and health clubs are not a contributor to viral spread.”

I mean....... yikes.......... Spreading dangerous misinformation is bad enough but to expect me to believe that claim (with zero proof or reference to these “studies”) is just insulting.

Solid health club, has all great equipment for full body exercise. This isn’t Golds Gym, and that’s perfect. This is. A smaller club with everything you need to workout full body. No free standing squat racks or deadlift platform, but they both have 2(two) smith machines. Incline and decline bench. All the cable equipment, and leg press of course. Personal trainers who are always friendly and the staff as well. This is by far one of the cleanest clubs and with 2 locations and 24hour door access. As a former bodybuilder, this is perfect for those who just want to get in and out with no B.S.

Worst experiance ever had with there staff. They do not stick with there word on price and will cancle your member ship for playing music. still waiting on 2 seprate refunds from them from weeks ago. Conner is the worst manager a gym can have hand down, took alot of will power not to strangle that man. Gym is small equipment is limited. If i can give these guy -5 stars review i would. This place is awesome compared to the other gyms around. Reasonably priced, I got the VIP that included WiFi, Waterbed massage, and tanning for $40/month. You also get 24hr access with your key fob. I ended my membership because I get the UCSB gym included with my tuition. Once I am done with my graduate program, I will rejoin AC4.
