I have had a great experience so far here at academy swim. I brought my children here 20+ years ago and wanted to bring my granddaughter back for the same experience. I was not dissapointed at all. Vanessa was so nice and helped make the enrollment process as smooth and easy as possible. Brennan has done a great job with my granddaughter. He has so much patience and we are starting to see her build confidence with him. 10/10 would recommend!!

Great facility to have indoor swim lessons all year round for your children. I love that its heated and indoors. The instructors are kind and are able to teach my kids new skills weekly. They start off slow with getting your child comfortable with the water, and move your child up as they learn the skills. My daughter is a batray now. :)

We've been taking lessons at Academy Swim Club for almost 3 years! The coaches are patient, kind and fun. The heated pool is great as the kids can swim all year round instead of only during the summer.

I have been taking my son to Academy Swim Club since he was 2 years old. He is 5 years old now and such a strong swimmer! Everyone is impressed when they see him swim. I decided to sign him up to do 1 on 1. We have a pool in our backyard and wanted to make sure he knew how to at least find the wall if he ever accidentally fell in. They have taught him so much, floating on his back, freestyle, backstroke, and so much more. He looks forward to his swim classes every week. All the instructors are great! They train them very well. Thank you for all your support throughout the years. I recommend them to all my friends and family who have littles. So important to start early so they are safe in the water!

We love Academy Swim Club! The facility has a kid friendly decor and a heated pool. All the office staff and swim instructors are nice and helpful. Our daughter developed a real love for swim while learning all the safety skills. Her seasoned swim instructor is awesome! He has a gentle approach, yet knows when to push to hone her skills.

The Academy Swim Club is an excellent place for learning how to swim. My child enjoys her lessons here, and I've noticed significant improvement after just a few private sessions. Her coach, Daniel, is truly exceptional. The front desk staff, including Katy and Vanessa, are very helpful as well. I highly recommend this place.

I’ve been bringing my 1 year old daughter to Academy Swim Club once a week for the past month, and I couldn’t be happier with our experience. While she’s still a bit nervous around the water and sometimes cries during her lessons, the instructors have been absolutely wonderful, super kind, patient, and encouraging every step of the way. I truly appreciate how they take the time to comfort her, build her confidence, and make each class a positive experience. I’m excited to see her continue to grow and become more comfortable in the pool.

My daughter was initially terrified of putting her head underwater, but once she started swimming at the Academy Swim Club, she finally overcame that fear. The swim coaches created a supportive environment that made her feel at ease in the water, and she showed significant improvement in just a few weeks. We are extremely happy with our experience at Valencia Academy Swim Club and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking swim lessons.

After trying to get my baby into a swim class, the owner, Dakota, reached out to me personally, and made things easy. He personally saw to it that I had my 18 month old in private lessons, and was incredibly accommodating for scheduling purposes. It's great to know that a business can take critical feedback seriously - and does what is needed to make the customer feel welcomed and appreciated! Once in the class, our instructor has been really helpful providing great tips, and teaching each of us about baby swim!

Today was our first time at the Valencia location, typically we are are the Newhall location for group lessons, and the first thing we noticed was how nice the facility is! It's super clean and has a fantastic setup for baby swim. I have been considering the mommy and me lessons with my youngest and I was excited to see that the setup makes it that much easier and less intimidating taking a baby into the water.

I recently took my child to academy swim club(valencia), and we absolutely loved it! The instructors are incredibly patient and friendly, making the learning experience fun and engaging for kids. The pool area is clean and well-maintained, and the safety measures are top-notch, which really put my mind at ease. My child was a bit nervous at first, but the supportive environment helped build confidence quickly. We’ve already seen great progress! I highly recommend this place to any parents looking for a fantastic swimming program for their little ones. We can’t wait for the next class!

My kids love swimming here. Instructors are great. On top of that, the constant temperature of the pool makes them more willing to go regardless of the weather outside. I'm hoping that they open more "open swim" slots during the upcoming colder seasons.

My daughter has been learning at Academy Swim Club for three months now. While progress takes time, her confidence has really grown, and she’s excited for each lesson. The coaches and staff are friendly, supportive, and keep it fun, which makes a big difference. We’re very happy with our experience here!

It’s been almost a year since my daughter started swimming lessons. Over that time, my 4-year-old has learned a lot and can now enjoy playing in the water freely. Her main instructor is, of course, excellent, but the other instructors we’ve met in make-up classes have all been great as well, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I’m really glad we found this place!!!

Truly an amazing facility! I started my son with lessons at 10 months old. The entire team from the front desk to swim instructors go the extra mile, fully engaged to make you feel right at home! The instructors make sure safety is a priority and the staff keeps the facility / pool very clean and sanitary. We will see you all Saturday!

Me and my friend signed up our kids for 12 private lessons worth of $1200 total . As some other reviewers have mentioned earlier, I also had a much higher expectation from the 30min lessons. I was hoping that my daughter would be able to swim without using a swim vest. Unfortunately, that was not the case and the coordinator blamed it on my daughter’s age ( 2.8 y.o) and blamed us for using the swim vest outside the training. There is also no swim guarantee, unless the kid is 3 y.o. We were also unable to schedule the last 3 lessons, since they dont have instructors, who are able to provide lessons at a certain time of the day, when the kids are not at the day care. Instead, they offered us to come to their facility and complete the last three lessons there. In addition to that, my daughter got always bored after spending 15-20 min with the instructor and just wanted to get out of the pool for the rest of the time.
Overall, I am very unhappy with how everything turned out. I would not recommend this club for the kids, who havent reached the age of 3.

I can’t speak highly enough about Academy Swim Club!! My son was absolutely terrified of the water and that has all changed!! Everyone of his instructors was so patient, kind, and understanding. They are absolute saints!! The effort they put in to encourage my fearful son gave him so much confidence! They will absolutely get your child swimming, guaranteed!!!

I have been with swim academy for 2 years now and I have only great things to say about the instructor and the deck supervisor.
They need to work on back office staff . I had a not so good experience with one of the back office staff, but the owner reached out to me and he did address my issue.

My daughter loves Academy Swim. Our instructor Natalie is the absolute best. She fits our daughters personality perfect and makes swimming so fun that our little looks forward to seeing her "friend". We have seen so much confidence and love for the water come within a few weeks of starting class. We have tried several other programs that did not produce the results that we have seen in just two months of being a member. Staff, facility and swim instructors are all great and we continue to recommend them to all of our friends and family.

I am so impressed with Academy Swim Club. I signed my daughter up last summer to learn how to swim and she picked it up so quickly! The coaches are amazing! So patient, knowledgeable and fun. My daughter has learned proper techniques of swim that truthfully, my wife and I haven’t even learned. I also love that they have a safety week where they teach students how to be safe in and around water. This is an amazing program and one of the best decisions we have made.

This is an Amazing place!! Everyone is friendly & professional..
I have to give special recognition to Miguel, Christian & Jackson who came to the rescue and provided my two grand children, 2 & 4, a lesson when I forgot the special program they were on ended & we were no longer on the schedule for their usual class.
My girls were suited up, showered & couldn’t wait to get started. They could have very easily turned us away as it was my error.
I am so very grateful for there kindness and commitment to the kids.
I can’t thank them enough..
Sincerely, LV

My 2 yr old daughter has been taking private lessons at the Newhall facility for about 4 months now. I’m very happy with the progress she has made so far! She started off a little apprehensive, but her teacher Mr. Eddy was incredibly patient and kind. The lessons are fun, developmentally appropriate, and focus on water safety. I have no doubt that she’ll be a swimmer by 3 yrs old (if not before). I’ve also had to schedule a make-up once and liked how easy the process was.

The staff at the academy swim club are fantastic. My two boys have improved their swimming skills so much while going to class here. The pool is indoor and heated. The viewing area has a play area for any of the kids that aren't currently in a lesson. The staff is able to work with children of all levels of skill and all temperament. My son went from being terrified of jumping into the water to a swimming machine while enrolled here. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wanted their child to improve their swimming skills.

I have had both of my boys at Academy Swim Club for over a year, and have had a wonderful experience. The staff is very responsive, the facility nice, and most importantly, my boys have progressed so much in regards to their swimming. It's a great way to give your kids a solid swimming foundation.

Excellent facility. All the instructors are well trained and friendly. The atmosphere is very kid friendly with Hawaiian decor! My son has been going there twice a week for over a year now, and from his initial fear of water he has now gone to be jumping in, swimming underwater and generally loving swimming. Can't recommend it enough :-)

We had a birthday party here today. I must say that the party host and life guard were amazing!!!! They did such a great job with the kids and keeping everything going.
Setting up the party was a challenge. The office staff continued to add on charges and there surprise charges at the end we weren't told about. The air conditioning didn't work and place was unbelievably hot. The owner was the only one who could turn the air on and he was nowhere to be found. We had older people and small babies in the building , it was just ridiculous how hot it was!!! The owner finally arrived as we were leaving and offered no apology or discount. I told him how miserable we all were and he said his app on his phone didn't work to turn on the air. Guess it was too difficult for him to come over during the party and fix it. Instead he showed up almost three hours later as we were leaving.
The only reason I gave this place three stars was because of the staff working the party. Otherwise it would have been a zero.
Very disappointing. We were going to sign up for swim lessons as well but won't now!!

I think this swim club is lacking costumer service and so much more. Took private lessons $44 each lesson and every class my toddler took it was the same thing. I expected more for this price. I decided to switch to this facility because it is 5 mins from my house but big mistake. My baby was previously enrolled at water works aquatics at pasadena and they are much better at coaching and very flexible with make ups. I noticed since the beginning that it wasn't going to work but decided to give them a chance, I was ready to drop by the 3 lesson but they are really good at charging your card on the 15 of each month, so I was already charged for another month before I was able to submit a cancellation form. They give a free make up if you notify of an absent 24 hrs in advance ONLY, that means that if you baby gets sick the night before the lesson you have to pay $ 10 extra for a make up ($54 for a class, not worth it) how I am going to notify 24 hrs in advance if my child get sick the night before???
They hardly answer the phone which sometimes is really inconvenient. The instructor was nice but looking at other instructors and how they direct their classes you can tell that they are immature and probably need more training.

We have been part of academy swim for 12 years! I love it and all the instructors. My only suggestion would be they would have more phone hours to talk to someone live if we had an emergency before a class or a general question.

The swim instructors are good, but the business and customer service is horrible! So difficult to work with. I informed the front desk before signing up we will be on vacation and will miss a lesson. She stated of course, no problem you will be able to make it up. BIG Problem when I went to sign my child up for the makeup lesson. The front desk lady was rude and told me "I can't just give out free lessons". And of course the only one who can "approve" makeup lessons is the manager whom is on a week long conference. Talk about a horrible way to run a business and an angry customer! They need to learn how to treat their customers better because they just lost one! And to think I went in to sign my child up for a makeup lesson and to get information about having a birthday party. Mistake avoided.

I have been going to the Academy for about 7 months. My family loves the place. Every experience we have had, from the incredible instructors, the beautiful facility, the warm water, the family showers, the cleanliness, the office staff, to the other happy parents, it all has been wonderful. My daughter had her birthday party there and what a great experience. It was fun, easy and they did it all without us lifting a finger, just enjoying the experience. We have tried the home lessons and the Y, don't waste your time. Our children love it here!!

Nikky is a very bad owner never returns calls! To busy! If they cannot extort your money on a monthly auto pay, they bounce you around from one instructor to another. Not fair for a little child whom becomes attached to his instructor. It is a unprofessionally managed business. The owners profess they did this program to help children, but they are never at the business to make sure the paying customers are satisfied. This is all about the money. There is not a review process on your childs swim progress, after all these are supposed to be the professionals and your paying for private lessons. They really do not care!

First off, let me begin by stating that I have been nothing but dissatified with this program and facility. The first issue I encountered was when I wanted to sign my daughter up for infant survival and I was told I "HAD" to sign her up for the baby swim too. There was nothing on their website that indicated that. They are listed as seperate classes- not one block. SO I signed her up for both and spent a lot more money than I was planning to. Second- I felt their rates were over priced. I lived in Pasadena before and the Rose bowl classes are 10 each and so is th eYMCA. Theirs are 15. So I paid the extra money simply because they were offered during the week, and as a stay at home mom, the whole point of me taking classes is to do activites with my daughter during the week when I'm alone. Then I thought, well, I am sure their facilties are better. Was I wrong!!! I soon discovered that there is no harness type contraption that I can seat my baby in while I take a shower or take off my sopping wet bathing suit. Even babies r us has this in their womens restrooms. I don't see how their facility can even offer classes to children who are not walking yet without this. When I told the receptionist about that she said, "Well there are the changing pads" So what, I am going to leave my daughter on an unsecured counter while I take a shower and change...I don't think so! So aside from the hassel with that, which is so inconvienent- then when I requested for my last 3 classes to move to the Wed. class vs. the Mon. (which is a whole other story) I am told I have to pay a 25 fee. Why- because I paid in advance vs. signing up for the ongoing fee. That is ridiculous. I already pay 15 a class- then I have to pay another 25 on top of that. And last but not least, most of the things I've been doing in this class, I feel I could have done in my community rec center. This last week I had a sub teacher --and this sub barely spoke 10 words to me the entire time and my daughter and I were the only ones in the class. I felt that she pressured me to do more with my daughter than I was willing and when I said she could do some of the activites with my daughter- humpty dumpty- she refused! She said that she was not going to be the "Bad guy" and she was going to let me do it so I could be comfortable with it. So basically I spent that 15 dollars today just to float around with my daughter and have that woman stare at me. So if someone asks me if I am going to recommend Academy swim- I am going to so-NO WAY SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO YOUR COMMUNITY POOL
