The gym is good (5 stars) but nobody wants the news (0 stars) on while they exercise if so they are phoning it in. We go there to get strong, get pumped up watching the sports events while trying keep up the cardio. The very least, put cooking shows to give you a reminder abs happen in the kitchen, but not news. If it's emergency they will break in on televised programming. Just grateful tv's only near cardio machines. The rest of the equipment is good, updated except kettle bells are rusty and yeah hard to have a smooth rep when rusty. I still recommend this gym.

Action Fitness in Riverbank is a great gym. I prefer coming here over the super busy gyms. What I appreciate about this gym is there are not a lot of teenagers sitting on their phones on the machines. I can come here and get my workout done and not feel like it’s overcrowded or overstimulating. I love that this is not a hangout spot for teenagers and that the people that come here to work out are getting their workout in and going home. Every so often you get someone slamming weights unnecessarily but that’s about it. The staff are friendly but I wish they would be stricter with the weight slamming as I’ve noticed a lot of the machines I like being out of order lately. Overall this gym is a small, nice gym and I think they are decently priced. Parking is never a nightmare either so that’s a big bonus.

Affordable, with a mixture of old school equipment and modern machines. But not that crappy stuff. Good stuff. Like hoist. Lots of hammer strength and variety. Never too busy that it impacts your work out. Plus they give out cat stickers.

Action Fitness has everything you could ask for in a gym. I previously went to In-Shape but I made the switch! Great equipment, 24/7 access, friendly staff and a motivating atmosphere. The run club is such a cool bonus as it is open to all levels and makes running way more fun than just hitting the treadmill on your own. Easily the best gym experience I have had.

Their advertising is extremely misleading..Their outdoor banner says: "Now open 24/7, 365 days." And their internet advertising has the same misleading claim. The 24/7 applies only to a very elite class of members that is paying $65 per month for the privilege of entering the facility with a fob after hours..They have no staff on duty after hours which means that they have nobody there in case of emergency or in case a client has a heart attack and needs the defibrillator. Because of their lack of after hours staffing and preparation for a possible emergency after hours, it appears that the
ir entire 24/7 scheme is not very well thought out and is on thin ice at best. Why would anybody pay 3 times the rate of a regular membership with no staff member there to take decisive action in case of an emergency? Think about it!

Absolutely fantastic gym! The attention to detail in the work equipment shows in my daily gains! Most gyms go with one brand machinery, and its usually a deal breaker for me. With the different brands it helps derivate my workout routine so I never get bored! IN addition, the classes cater to all fitness levels, ensuring there’s something for everyone. I have a gym membership through my insurance. They have a great morning Senior workout class 10 am, 5 days a week. Two classes on Mondays and Tuesdays. 9 and 10 am.

I recently moved to the area and decided to check out action fitness since it was located conveniently for me. It seemed like a newer location and didn't know what to expect. But when I walked in I was greeted by the Jeremy and he took the time to show me around and give me a tour. The gym was spotless and had all the equipment I was looking for. Jeremy then explained to me all of the different membership plans and classes that members can take advantage of. I was sold so I signed up for a membership right there.
I've been going to the gym regularly for a month now and I'm very happy with my decision all the gym employees are very kind and greet me when I walk in. The gym is still spotless and i noticed that they clean regularly which is important for me. Also I was able to make a few friends while attending some of the workout classes! I still see Jeremy from time to time as well and he is awesome and great to have a chat with.
Overall my experience with action fitness has been everything Took for in a gym and I plan on going here long term.

With this gym you're going to invest into three things:

Yourself - This low cost gym has everything you need whether you're just starting, seasoned, or coming back from a break. You'll be recognized when you come to this gym and your progress will be noticed and praised.

The Team - An owner who cares about her team as much as her members is something we should support wholeheartedly. I can tell Cassandra is a great boss because her team is wonderful even when she's not there. This helpful and friendly team makes it all the easier to come in even on the days you want to skip.

The Community - When you invest into this gym you're not helping faceless private equity companies, you're contributing to your neighbors and community. Your money is giving the team money to pay for their higher education; it's paying for instructors who build strength in grandparents in their dedicated senior classes; it's paying for an owner who's actively trying to give you an even better place to grow.

I don't need to sell you this gym because what it's giving you and what you're giving it is honestly more than just money.

Overall, it’s a very nice gym. It has a positive welcoming environment. Everyone is focused on their workout, and I’ve never seen a people yet that keeps a machine to themselves for too long. Machines closed for maintenance are fixed very quickly, the equipment is kept clean, plenty of weights/equipment so you won’t have to wait for someone else, and a great place to spend your time grinding for your dream physique.Try this place out if you haven’t already 💯

Fantastic service! I got the recommendation from a friend awhile back and glad to say it is now a regular spot for me. There are multiple different machines to choose from and the environment is very friendly for new comers. The bathrooms are also very clean and provide you a nice locker to put your things in. Action Fitness Health Clubs has an extremely positive workout environment along with quality equipment. Not to mention the Zumba classes and Boot Camp that both keep you in shape and make sure you have fun while doing it.
